Ticket for one to see U2 perform The Joshua Tree in its entirety on Saturday, May 20th at the Rosebowl in Pasadena. I've never seen them before and that's my favorite album of theirs. I can't believe this is happening.

Oh no, I've already seen my favorite album live. The Joshua Tree is my favorite U2 album, as it is millions of people's favorite. I've been dying to see them for years and was willing to give anything to see them. Even if it killed me.

My favorite album is Pink Floyd's 1979 masterpiece The Wall, and I saw it performed live by Roger Waters (the frontman) on Saturday, November 6th, 2010 at Madison Square Garden. That was a religious experience.

I recently got a refund on a product I had bought for my PS2 on Amazon because the hdmi converter wouldn't play PS1 games for some reason. I then proceeded to buy a component cable and two more Japanese CD's. Barely had enough to cover shipping with my other gift card funds. I have absolutely no more funds now. 2 of those items have shipped.

The Walking Dead season 3 on Blu-Ray - a few weeks ago :) Never watched past season 2, but started watching again from season 7; the same channel broadcast TWD from the beginning alongside it, but stopped halfway season 3. I said to myself "goddamn wtf I want to know how it ends" so I went to the store that instant and bought TWD S3. Already have S1 and 2 as well.

The movie is great. Watch the bluray. There's only one version out there, so no need to hunt down a "remastered" edition.

The LLL release is also great. With LLL, you can forget about volume 2 of the old retail releases. Vol 2 has dialogue mixed in.

We have a Denny's franchise here and it's used mostly for drunks in the middle of the night.

At the nearby bar and grill restaurants when a shift is over, when all the loose female employees are all taken, the remaining drunk male employees go to Denny's to shoot the shit and talk about other times they did drugs or got wasted.

It was a favorite restaurant of mine as a kid.
The only place with the biggest bacon and egg breakfast. iHop is just not all that great.

Ihop was near the college, so that's where the higher class druggies and drunks hung out.
I recall getting a few tips in the 100s because some idiot fucked up.
-Then again, I also got stiffed a LOT too.
Scored a LOT of free weed working there.

The Denny's...holy shit that in such a PERFECT location!
It was basically central to all the police stations, plus near enough to off-base living, so cops & folks in military uniforms were in there 24/7.
Solid tips, managed by one of the BEST bosses I've ever had.
-She was only an asshole if she had to be, and didn't take shit from ANYONE who harassed her staff for no reason. A true retail unicorn.

Also, probably the SAFEST place in the city.
-You could leave your car unlocked and not worry at 3 in the morning levels of safe.

Plus, all the uniforms tipped well and so did the (intimidated?) non-police customers.
-Not sure about other places, but it seemed like the military and police had a dick measuring contest on who 'out tip or out gentleman/lady' each other.


Goddess I kind of miss that job.

In reality, I'm running the Gamecube games through the Virtual Wii, rather than the actual Wii U OS - that is homebrewed too and even advanced to pirate and customize too. But I won't dare to go this far with my Wii U yet, until it's a bit easier and as safer as the Wii homebrew which will eventually happen. The program is called Nintendont, and is available in the original Wii, too. Have I mentioned you can also actually play the games with a HID USB controller? Like my PS4 controller. PS3, Xbox 360.. etc. It's amazing.

The 3DS homebrew.. there's a freeshop app that literally allows you to download EVERYTHING available in Nintendo's eShop, and there's something similar with the Wii U, too.

Due to the Wii U having some unbelievable low energy for drives, I actually had to get a USB Y cable for it to work properly with the Wii U and for it to be detected. Incredible that the Wii U could do that itself with no additional cables. :laugh: But I don't think that's your problem, nor the HDD. I was told sometimes, when you install it, if the forwarder isn't good enough, it makes the app crash a lot.. which is why I haven't installed Nintendont nor USB GX Loader yet, though it'd be very very useful. As for me.. it's pretty simple how it worked with my PS4 controller, at first try. All I had to do was plug the USB in, press the controller's HOME button and it was ready to go. Is your controller a Wireless one? That may be the issue, there's little Bluetooth compatible for that mode.

I also want to get the 3DS Homebrew app. It's certainly easier than the Wii U, but still... don't know if I'll fuck up. But one problem about me and pirating games it's that a part of me wishes so much that I had them in physical form. A part of me just feels more better after completing a game, when I get it physically. But I can't have ALL of the games in the world that I'm interested in, so this will have to do, and as a collector I can always experience the games first and buy them in the future.

Both are on their way to me right now. The 30th Anniversary remaster of Highlander, and the theatrical version of Highlander 2 (French DVD).

I already have Highlander the director's cut on DVD, the Highlander 2 Renegade Version (only a copy, the Highlander 2 Special Edition DVD, Highlander 3 (theatrical), Highlander 4 R2 (including the theatrical and rough cut) and Highlander 4 R1 (including the producer's cut and rough cut), and Highlander the Source. To wrap it up I have the first three Highlander TV seasons on Blu-ray.

Still need to get: Highlander 2 Renegade Version, Highlander 3 Director's Cut and Highlander TV seasons 4 to 6 on DVD, since they were never transferred to Blu-ray unlike the earlier seasons.

I'm finally starting complete my collection of the Robotech books.

THEY'RE SO fucking late 80s/early 90s to a goddamn TEE.

But, there SO BAD, yet...not really...but they're also kind of...actually kind of...good.

I mean, all the writing is fairly solid and they're not too long as to overstay their welcome.

But they VERY much feel like a 'book series written based of an anime that was based off three other animes.

Uoh, awesome, I didn't know about this edition. I have the saga in BD but each movie in his original box, not special editions or reissues, first releases from years ago (same with Bourne and Resident Evil movies). Fox Plaza figure looks incredible.

So I went back to HMV before the doors close.

I'm satisfied with my purchases. I can't remember when the doors really close, but I probably won't be able to make it in time to scrounge some leftovers.

Bought:

Jurassic World blu-ray. Just a regular 2D blu-ray. Not 3D and not a collector's/exclusive edition.
But just having the video and lossless audio is plenty for me. I can always download the 3D version.

Jupiter Ascending blu-ray. Same thing: standard 2D blu-ray only.

Batman V Superman: Ultimated Edition + 3D blu-ray.
The 2D disc is extended edition, the 3D disc is the theatrical edition.
This one was under $20 so I could not pass it up!

So that makes:
1) Man of Steel 2D / 3D BD
2) BvS 2D / 3D BD
3) Suicide Squad 2D BD

I leave the 3D discs at my friend's house. He has a nice LG 3D TV.



This month's release for Humble Bundle's monthly subscription includes:
Total War: WARHAMMER. Just the main game, no DLC.

Humble Bundle also had a bundle on sale for Sid Meier's Civilization games.

Ordered Bram Stoker's Dracula, 4K remaster bluray. I can finally store my older one away forever.

Also ordered Bunraku (2010) (http://www.blu-ray.com/Bunraku/58437/#Releases), USA distribution.
Apparently, Bunraku has a lot of different releases from different distributors.
Canada and USA have two separate releases. So probably different picture quality.
And then France, Germany, Spain, Japan and some European countries have their own releases from their distributors so their qualities may vary.
I want to order the Canadian disc, too, and compare.
USA (Arc Entertainment) versus Canada (VVS Films).
USA has DTS-HD Master Audio while Canada has Dolby TrueHD audio. Technically, both lossless. But I don't know if one is mastered louder than the other, or brickwalled, or more dynamics, or what? :noonecares:

They order so much products to try cater to different needs: comics, memorbelia, music, etc. But the truth is, even as they do that, with their sales... it's still expensive there.

Buying on Amazon is a lot cheaper, overall.

It's not just the digital streaming services killing the video store like video killed the radio star.
But, between Amazon and eBay, you can save a lot. Even with S&H.
Just importing blu-rays can be costly, but worth it.

I just purchased a Sony NWA27HNSM 64GB Hi-Res Walkman, along with a SanDisk 128gb Card. (Tried to post a picture, but not allowed.)

I struggle with insomnia & I have a parrot that 'grinds' her beak at night. (Highly annoying!)
I'm hoping the walkman will help with the sleep. I tried a shot of Baileys (then another) but that didn't help.

I loaded Star Trek Into Darkness (24 bit/96 KHz) and it did sound great. Now all I have to do is figure how to sleep with the ear buds on...and not break them.

I have the Sony A17, and I love that little player to death. I'm so scared it'll break down the line and they'll be discontinued by then.
I'm thinking about upgrading to the A30 series when it finally releases in NA, but don't know when that will be.

Kinda is! And got it half the price. Though at the end, what matters the most is the Trico statue, for anything else is a small artbook, the steelbook (which is good) and that's really it! There's also a neat white box where the other box is stored, which is in the european edition.

Don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but the disc for Rogue One has these weird purple spots on it. A printing mistake perhaps?
