The PS2 version's engine had to be downsized quite a bit. There's a noticeable difference between the Gamecube and PS2 versions. Since I've only played the GCN version, that shall be my preference, however, I do own a copy of the Wii version.

Eternal Sonata had beautiful graphics when I first saw a friend play it on his 360. Seems like it's really slow storytelling wise, but I got a go at a few battles I thought it was great. Seems fun. Would appreciate your opinion after you get a go at it.

Agree on Eternal Sonata on PS3. Excellent game. If you move on too quickly you will get punished severly by the enemies so a certain amount of grind is needed. There is a horrible moving room dungeon but everything else about it is top class. Plus you get the option to choose the original Japanese voice as well as the awful English dub.

Piracy is my last resort, i.e. when said album is digital only because most sites just refuse to sell MP3s to people from a different country for stupid reasons, and/or the album is long out of print and there are no good condition copies on eBay.

Latest purchases: A plate of barbecued pork and rice, and a Sarsaparilla drink. Basically a late lunch, because I had a hefty breakfast.

Batteries. Gotta have them to test out the toys I've been posting on eBay - see if they're working or not. And some of them require pretty obscure types of batteries.

When I switched on the PS3 I had a firmware update to get. Then the patch for Bayonetta. Then the game install. Took about 30 minutes before I could even play the thing. It was a pretty big patch so I assume it's for what Marceline mentioned.
I didn't experience one glitch or bug at all, and I played it through twice.
I had heard the PS3 version was broken too but it only cost me �7.00 so I thought I'd give it a try. There was one section that had a little slowdown but it wasn't during combat and once I got past it the game played fine.

I have it for the PS3: plays fine, is good fun. I dunno what the initial reviews said about it, but I don't imagine it's much different from the 360 version (it may have been buggy, but I downloaded a patch when I booted it up for the first time and everything has worked fine thus far).

Having said that, I greatly prefer Darksiders.

That's great!! Now that I know this, I'll definitely will be picking Bayonetta up.

It's interesting, I can't eat a whole pizza in one sitting, despite being "festively plump".

I can eat a LARGE Dominos pizza with pepperoni, extra cheese, veggies and lots of meat. In one sitting, sometimes a half hour flat.

Why thank you, good Doctor :) I saw Totoro twice two years ago on TV and loved it. Now I am a proud owner of it :) And I've heard great things from my friends about Ponyo so I snatched it the second I saw it.

ponyo is cute. it's not as deep or profound as any of his other movies but he said that while Totoro was meant for 5-10 ages everyone at the studio had had babies and wanted to make a movie for the little 1-6 year olds. Watch it at least once in english to get the full Liam Neeson/David Bowie of Ponyo's father.

tbh almost all of Ghibli's films are wonderful. Really, Earthsea is the only one I didn't think was very good. I've never seen Ocean Waves.

I'm sad Yoshifumi Kondo didn't get to do more films, I love Whisper of the Heart so much.

Le Guin also didn't like Miyazaki's adaptation of Earthsea.
