This last weekend me, and my brother & mother went christmas shopping at this fairly big shopping complex about 2 hours away. in addition to the Target, sears, yonkers, jc penny, & macy's connected to the mall, within about 6 blocks of it there are also wall-mart, toys R us, barnes & nobel, best buy, gap, biglots, chucky cheese, goodwill, gordmans, pier 1, cohls, gamestop, hobby lobby, petco, petsmart, lowes, menards, officemax, circuit city, tj maxx, A used half priced book store, a used media store, and a bit further down a shopco & fleetfarm.

For some reason mother let the elf buy everything he really wanted so the trip wasn't too helpful in finding things for him, but we did manage to find the movieTenchi in Love for him as well as Yostuba& vol. 2-4, A midsumer's night Dream, Mery Reilly, & Azumanga Dioh for my sister and I got Paul Mcartney's cartoons for my mother. We are all going to get Zelda shield mint tins becoause they were being clearanced at TRU.

Christmas was good this year. Low on money now though.

Not exactly a purchase, but my satellite box has finally been upgraded to one that supports HD. Unfortunately, I only have one HDMI port and it's used by the PS3, the TV is incompatible with the HDFury, and the new sat box doesn't output HD through component.

Going to go back to the original plan where I get a HDMI card for the Media Center PC and hook the box up. Seen here is the box's SD Component output being output to a VGA box which converts the input to VGA, until I get said HDMI card. As to why I didn't get a TV that has two HDMI connector, well, Quetzal II, the TV, was never bought for it's HD capabilities. Why it only goes up to 1080i. It was bought for receiving component signal from the Wii.

I have a Wacom Graphire 4 which I picked up from a bargain bin. Never mind that it doesn't work very well with my Mac, at least it works.

Whose brain-dead idea was it to not create a Mac OS 9 driver for the device, anyway. There are people out there who're refusing to upgrade to X due to the lack of support for their machine. I.e. Mine has a onboard vidcap device that I heavily use that's unsupported in X.

But then my PSOne has been into repair over a fried video output chip once. Because composite looks like crap on the VGA box.
