Not to mention chicken pox, shingles, and some kinds of meningitis are also herpes.

People just know about genital herpes and so they always assume OH MAN STD when they hear the word herpes, I'm not sure why. I've never heard of people linking warts to STDs in spite of there being an STD called genital warts.

Most people who do get cold sores start getting them as a child.

Quite right Mandi. And cheers for pointing out the pox, shingles and meningitis. Warts too are also a variant of HSV. The hole thing is riddled with ignorance. I occasionally (2 or 3 times a year at most) get cold sores and to be quite frank, it is a blessing in disguise. It reminds me that I am not looking after my body. My immune system is more than capable of handling them. When it isn't, I am being irresponsible.

Either that or he misunderstood what I wanted for Christmas. For the records, Dot in the context I used refers to an anthropomorphic cartoon dog, not measles. Although I should've made it clear that I wanted a bunch of plush Dots, not "Dots".

Ok, I think I'm off-topic now, not even sure what I'm ranting about. I just completed yet another all nighter trying to work out how to make VirtualDub read WMV files correctly.

herpes isn't going to come up on a test unless they're specifically looking for it (and they won't be) and even then probably only if you're in the middle of an outbreak.

well, nothing wrong with PB&J but after awhile it just gets oldddd. I got stuff for slow cooker stew the other day (cos cheap) so we will have that for lunch/dinner today and possibly as leftover lunch tomorrow.

also, i bought a thermos from Barnes & Noble because I had a gift card there. Probably overpriced, but the last insulated coffee mug I got there kept my morning coffee warm for like 4-5 hours in my car (while it wasn't running) in the dead of winter. What's Persona all about?
Depends on the game.

But, the basic idea is a group of kids get rapped up into this fucked up end-of-the-world type of thing in a modern, semi goth/punk Japanese setting.

The combat system is turn-based.
However, it's unique from other RPGs in that you can bribe/threaten/negotiate with most of the enemies in giving you stuff, leaving battles, turning on their fellow demons, doing stuff for you or even...get this...JOINing you!.

:D

I'm sure I've done a shitty job trying toe explain it, but the SMT series is one of (if not the) best JRPG series I've ever played.

Except that it's not going to be used as a digital TV receiver. No, I can do that with my PC.

I'm using it to give my TV an additional set of RCA connectors by using it's VGA connector (why do TV companies put these on their TV? Almost no one uses them!). So I can hook up my Portable Media Player and watch those Care Bears videos I've downloaded on TV instead of on the PC. Just because Astro is an ass and refuse to bring in the Boomerang channel which Care Bears is airing on. And I want to be able to say that I watch Care Bears on TV as well...

A Blu-Ray drive.

I eat my words, I had to buy a Sony product, because it was the cheapest BD drive I can find (at RM 235, ~US$66.81). Closest was a Lite-On that cost twice at much. Although predictably, it shipped with crappy blu-ray player software that shits all over itself when ran on Win7. At least Windows will dutifully play DRM protected DVDs in Media Center now. It wouldn't when I tried to play them using a DVD drive that has been modded to be region-free, although VLC works (but VLC doesn't support the eHome remote -.-). Stupid Microsoft.

Now I just need to buy a decent Blu-Ray player app, because the Sony-supplied PowerDVD BD 7.3 shat all over itself in Win7. And AnyDVD HD, because I plan to import cartoon BDs and DVDs from the UK.

Also, new batteries for my cellphone. Because the old one is now 3 years old and couldn't hold a charge for more than 10 minutes.

putting a hdd, even wrapped in bubble wrap and in peanuts in a gian tbox like that still isn't really packed all that well. I should take pix of how seagate sends it.

Also unless you took out a top layer of peanuts, you can see that its not even packed to the top with peanuts. The outside of the thing might not get dinged up but being shaken around is bad for da harddrive
