Though take note; this is not a good practice. I wouldn't like to see you fail a college essay simply because you title-cased every word because you "can't help it." It just makes you look like you don't know what you're doing, and it's probably best to get out of the habit now while you're ahead.

It also throws off your intended readers, because when you type something on the internet (or anywhere for that matter), you're communicating with other people who are undoubtedly going to read what you're putting out.

For future reference, title-casing is exclusively reserved for, titles, names, and the word at the beginning of a sentence.

Now that you have no excuse to be ignorant on the subject, I would suggest that you stop title-casing every word in your sentences.

Except, mine doesn't have the Nintendo Gamecube logo on it. I think that Nintendo may have let the design patent for Gamecube controllers go because it looks and feels first-party, but in reality, it's a third party controller. Though, the only real difference, is that it doesn't feel as sturdy as say a first-party controller would.

Regardless, I needed a fourth controller quick, because you just can't play MarioParty with three people when there are four people in the room.

How are you able to read soo much at 1 time?

Well, a huge part of what I read is all Batman or Batfamily, so while there are different stories going on in each one, a lot of the plot interconnects and it's all like one big story, really.

I frequently re-read back issues too, especially of the stuff I'm super into, so that helps keep the stories fresh in my mind from month to month. The stuff I read that's older I generally read all in one go unless it's something that was years worth of comics, then I take a while. I like to think I have a pretty good memory for continuity stuff, though I have to go back and look things up sometimes. I love stuff like that though. It's like this awesome personal challenge to me.

If you meant how do I have time to read so much, comic reading is my primary hobby, and it doesn't take too long to read a comic either.

If you meant how do I do it money wise, I download a lot of stuff, but I still probably spend too much money on trades and on floppies. Especially on floppies, I have a lot of single issues of stuff I have in trade form. Back issues are pretty cheap though, even when you order them online. It cost me like $8 for all those Joe the Barbarian issues.

I don't hate you at all! You read comics and that makes you awesome, my friend. I care a lot about the comics industry but I care more about people experiencing and enjoying comics. :) And I would never ever look down on someone for not being caught up on stuff. I'm behind on plenty of comics too, and it doesn't matter when you read the stories, really! A lot of comic storylines read better all at once anyways.

Well the thing is it's not jsut comics but al liturature in general. I was sick for several years and didn't graduate. I know a lot of stuff but not in any useful way. My sister is now in collage and last year she was in shakespeare the abridged series and I knew way more about all that stuff than she did but she actually read the things.

I am pretty full of useless knowledge too, unless I ever manage to weasel my way into a career in comics. Ultimately though, knowing this stuff makes me happy and so I'm glad to know it, useless or not.

I have had some pretty neat conversations with you about things like comics and cartoons and I think you've always come across as pretty knowledgeable. Don't beat yourself up over this stuff. Just read and watch what makes you happy!

Why'd you go and buy a strategy guide, and of the Orange Box of all games? The internet's cheaper.

The Half Life series was never too difficult to beat, and the puzzles are downright laughable. About all you can get out of it is the secret locations of ammo caches and the appearances that G-Man makes, of which YouTube will most certainly reveal.

Even for Portal, YouTube probably would be a better asset than a guide, especially if you're stuck in a particularly difficult room.

I have the XIII guide. I got it for the cost of shipping. I enjoy them as artbooks--in addition to their base function--and I have all the Final Fantasy guides except like 1.

I understand that games will intentionally have things in them that make a guide necessary and that it's a money mill (I did learn something from Prak). XII is the prime example, as well as this lovely movie capsule in Dirge of Cerberus that I just LOVE bringing up.

Still I do enjoy getting an OCD fix from such things, no matter how logical I try to be. Thankfully, there's plenty of games that I don't feel super super compelled to do everyhing in, these days. Mainly action games. Still, I have to stop myself sometimes.

Like trying to grow Oran Berries to heal that Miltank after I heard about that when I had declared myself done with Soul Silver. Plus, those last 4 blast shards in InFamous ;;

Point being, I'm behind buying guides if it makes you happy. I'm behind almost anything that makes you happy that doesn't hurt others :)

Like trying to grow Oran Berries to heal that Miltank after I heard about that when I had declared myself done with Soul Silver. Plus, those last 4 blast shards in InFamous ;;

Point being, I'm behind buying guides if it makes you happy. I'm behind almost anything that makes you happy that doesn't hurt others :)

I agree man. Just don't worry about it dude. It's all good

Good job, Neg.

I always try to get by without guides. I feel like I must be dense/careless/sloppy that day if I really have to resort to a guide. I embrace challenges when necessary or if I'll have fun at it. =D

what's in that game that makes it absolutely positively unconditionally not for people under 17?

I'm wondering this too. Someone please create elaboration on the subject.

I've only played Conker's Bad Fur Day, but based on that the rating is for language/adult humor, alcohol use, and lots of stuff with poo.

The reason it's labeled the way it is is so that people don't see Conker and assume it's meant for kids. I worked at Toys R Us when Conker's Bad Fur Day came out, and although we carried it, we could only sell it from behind the counter. Knowing the way customers are it just would not have been worth it to deal with all the hassle otherwise. They probably labeled it that way to help avoid issues like that.

CC
06-12-2010, 03:40 PM
I know I would've been one of those customers :O But knowing me when I was a kid, I would've enjoyed the game anyway regardless. I probably would've gotten all the adult humor too because that's just how I was back then. I was a disturbed child.

I once had a customer bring back Super Smash Bros in hysterics who kept say I NEVER EXPECTED SUCH VIOLENCE FROM A MARIO GAME in this super offended voice. The backlash if we'd sold Conker's on the floor would've been crazy.

Conker's is a really fun game though, if you ever want to play it!

I remember Conker from Diddy Kong Racing. Man, that was a fun game; got it for my 8th birthday or so. I even own the DS port, which sucks; two of my favorite characters, Banjo and Conker, are gone. They totally butchered it on the DS. I'd love to try out Conker's own game though; since I can still remember having a blast in DKR as him, I'm sure he'd be a blast to play as in a game of his own.

Also, LMFAO! I'd love to see that same customer sit down and play Dead Space.

what's in that game that makes it absolutely positively unconditionally not for people under 17?

The swearing.

Maybe.

But it was the sole purpose of Rare to make it to the 'M' rating with Conker, so they made it as raunchy as they could. So much so that Nintendo refused to publish it in any of their publications. Even though Conker was initially supposed to be more along the lines of Banjo-Kazooie than South Park, but people were complaining that there wasn't enough violence and 'M' rated goodness on the N64. Kinda sounds familiar, and yet people still expect it to come out of a Nintendo system.

Conker was a Mario 64 like game targeted for children. So they have to take such drastic measures to make sure no one get's bamboozled.

I remember some mother trying to return a Micky Mouse game because there was a Sorcerer's Apprentice level and the mom said that Micky was a which who was using dark magic.

Its been raining heavily for the past week. Which funny enough theres also been a bunch of garage sales within 3 blocks of my house.
At one of these I found this:

http://www.pimpandhost.com/media2/image/4/2/4/9/42496/9/1/4/3/SDC12706.JPG[/URL]

The 2002 Castle Greyskull it was marked as $20 but they had not sold hardly anything and on the 2nd day let me have it for $5.

Its electronic and the eyes blink and it makes spooky castle noises plus it makes unique sounds for the drawbridge, monster foot trap, trap door, secret sword vault, gun, computer, spooky eyes, and computer most of which have both opening and closing sounds.

Can I find patches online for my copies?
Well, most likely it's wrapped within DosBox like those Ultima releases. And most likely it comes pre-patched.

Latest purchase: ADB (Apple Desktop Bus) to PS/2 converter. Now I can use the KVM to control my old but heavily upgraded PowerMac G3 Beige Minitower completely.

An old Making of Star Wars VHS. I don't know what version it is exactly but it's got '93 & '97 on the back and the old pre-prequel stuff doesn't get reraleased so for $1.50 not that bad.

And groceries where also bought.

I still have the Star Wars VHS version before the CGI edits.
I guess it would be '97?
Just sits there as stuffing for the box I was storing my N64 games in.

The THX remasters came out in 95 if you mean those. Pre-special edition, just some clean up work. The beginnings had interviews between Leonard Maltin and Lucas.

Worth every single penny! I've played some of these songs for real and if you're doing it right, it feels remakably close. The main riff to American Idiot comes to mind and the eponymous first section of Jesus of Suburbia. I'm usually singing along for that one, which gets me fucked once I reach I Don't Care.

1/8th notes are harder than switching between buttons. East Jesus Nowhere is my bitch ^___^ Warning almost literally warps my brain. I can do it for a while, but then I have to let some notes slide by. It's the weirdest feeling, but I'm still so happy!

The albums that aren't here will be remembered by diehards, so it's not a super big deal like I was making it out to be! Plus, I can learn Castaway for real if I want to ^^ Honestly really glad to be playing Dookie. Coming Clean, Emenius Sleepus, and OF COURSE Basketcase :)

She used me make me feel like this:

http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/ConstantMnemonic/SpoonyHairPull.gif

I'm okay at it, now. So, I'm sure I'll get good at Chump eventually!

Kinda want to play Longview on Expert SOMEDAY, but I don't ever expect to be that good. I tried playing guitar a couple times, it's not good. I knew going in I was only going to be playing bass so that doesn't bother me, in the slightest.

Thinking of buying another guitar for a local friend of mine. He’s the one that introduced me to Green Day in the first place. And, got us a cut in line when the line for the concert was around the block and down several more. Wait, I got us the cut. He just drunkenly hit on the girl we got in line with and made us sit through evening traffic to get there.

Who cares, I still love him.

I'm guessing they're 1/8th notes. I just picked something that sounded fast. I don't know shit about music in any technical sense. DA REALLY FAST ONES IN A ROW XD

I've gotten much better with them. Was working on the breakdown for Chump, just now. Still not quite there.

1/8th notes are the typical up and down strumming rhythm in most songs.

You're likely talking about 1/16ths.
