Took the plunge and purchased the 1Tb Xbox One. The deal making was Microsoft's announcement that Xbox 360 games will be playable on the Xbox One. (Plus a $50 dollar gift card and 14 days free Xbox Live didn't hurt either.)

They've finally arrived!! They are sealed and new, and weren't that expensive. The used ones were about the same price. The artwork is actually really nice, and they are a perfect matching set! Can you believe it? An industry-grade graphic designer with their head screwed on the right way! The booklets are also really nice. I might take more photos.

No, right now it is just being sold at Disneyland. Later in the year they are going to 'expand' it to online retail stores such as Amazon and Intrada. Right now it is 'exclusively' sold at Disneyland in California. No expansion, same exact release, just will be cheaper and less rare. Does that make sense?

I haven't listened to the soundtrack in a while, unfortunately. It is one of my favorite films, I own the Blu-ray.

I think it will be released July 3rd, even though it says March 3rd, that doesn't make sense if we are just hearing about it now..

I read all that. But the original sessions must be in an archive somewhere unless they got lost. Still, it sounds as close to the original sessions as you could probably get. :p

Because this is technically the wrong thread for discussions of this nature, I've spoilered my response. That way, those who are interested can read what I've just spent a lot of time writing, or they can scroll right past and pretend this discussion doesn't exist.

God took away the wicked people from the earth, but those who were not wicked and were saved were still fallible humans, and down the generations things got worse again. It all comes down to free will. If God made us as robots to only ever do good, evil wouldn't be an issue. But because God wanted to create beings that had the freedom to choose to love Him and do good (if you are forced to do good you're not really doing good for goodness sake, are you?), it is a problem.


And then He admits He made a mistake. So much for a perfect being.

The actual account says that God was "sorry He had made man" - not that He had made a mistake. I can do something that's perfectly fine that later turns out wrong which I can be sorry about, but that doesn't necessarily mean I made a mistake. In this case, we were the ones who made the mistake of disobeying God.


I mean couldn't have just flipped the kill switch on all the evil people and avoided the whole death by drowning thing. Especially since it didn't work.

The reason God didn't just "flip the kill switch" is because He loves humanity. The Bible tells us that God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ezekiel 33:11) and that it is not His will that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9). That's why instead of killing them all instantly, He gave them 100 years warning of the flood. Not 1 year, or 10 years. 100 years. During all that time, they could have repented and been saved like Noah and his family.

And if God had 'flipped the kill switch', you'd just accuse Him of murder all the same. So don't tell me that that's what He should have done!

One thing you have to keep in mind - according to the Bible, death is not the end. Death is simply passing from this life into eternity. God, as the all-powerful, all-knowing Creator, has the perfect authority to give and take life how He pleases. He was the One who gave you life when you were conceived. Therefore, when God took the lives of those in the flood and those of the firstborn in Egypt, He was doing so with the perfect authority to, as their Creator and God. Also, you need to remember that death doesn't automatically mean hell. In the case of the firstborn, their lives were taken in an instant (no pain involved) and they went straight to heaven. Those who died in the flood at an age where they could comprehend the things of God, sin, etc and were responsible for their actions would have had to answer to God. What He chose to do then was His choice, and as Genesis 18:25 tells us, the Judge of all the earth will do right.


Maybe that's the real reason for Lucifer's war on God. Lucifer was the prosecuting angel and perhaps he tried to hold God accountable for genocide. And look where that got him: grounded for eternity.

Isaiah 14:12-14 tells us that Lucifer started a rebellion and tried to become like God. Once again, this is a result of the angel's free will. God didn't make them automatic robots who only ever did good because that was all they were capable of. They have the choice to do right or wrong just like we do.

You're right about one thing - the Bible is God's account of history. But it also happens to be the truth, which is proven time and time again by what He has done in countless lives around the world throughout history, and also through many, many prophecies that have come true. In order for you to know whether or not it is true, you need to come to God and take Him at His Word. Test it. If you are sincere, and are genuinely seeking the truth, Jesus tells us that you will find it.

Alas, it was not to burn down the theatre. My Toyota was thirsty.

The movie was very good. I teared up at the end. Not full on cry, but I definitely had tears. A combination of what was going on in the film, the visuals and the score. Can't remember the last time that happened when I went and saw a movie.

You do realize that you seem to have bought three things for Halo 4? The slipcase cd and the remix disc are unnecessary as they are included in the limited edition bundle.
Get Volume 2 of the Halo 4 soundtrack as well, its awesome. And the Halo 2 Anniversary is worth a listen too.

Also, the H4 remixes are mostly crap.

You have no idea how much data I've lost. I used to use portables for backup and like stuffing extra big things for archival purposes on those. And then a couple months later POOF! and they never woke up again. Happened four times. Terabytes lost. Hair follicles uprooted.

Also, I abhor lossy compression in every form of media.
This turned out to be a very expensive preference.

But, still, all I've been told is that the SP is pretty good.

Finally got my Arrow Season 1 pressed soundtrack from Silva Screen Records. I was comparing the booklet with that of the Amazon CD-r, and the Amazon CD-r seems to be darker in color, but the booklet content is the same basically. The Arrow logo is a darker shade of Green, and you can see more details of Oliver's suit in the Amazon CD-r. And the CD-r is glossy and doesn't have the silver outside, whereas the pressed CD does. I can take pictures if someone would like. I'm still waiting on some Halo soundtracks to come in the mail before I post a picture of my recent purchases :)
