5TB is just around 200. On sale, with taxes included.

Anything over 4 is relatively new formats.
There's always sales though, so even grabbing a 3TB is worth it when the price drops.

Some really good advice in the Summer heat, don't leave them plugged in when you don't need them.
They generate heat fast on their own just being idle.
So imagine when temperatures rise during the day from the sun, warming up the house, and then using the externals.
The internal temp is just going to go up.

And just using "safely remove" might be enough, but it's safer if you unplug the power source after.
If a lightning storm happens by without you noticing, and your surge protector can only protect so much, you'll want to keep contact-free with any electrical points for maximum protection of your extremely fragile externals.

The only thing to watch out for is Windows updates wanting to do reboots. You have to be quick to set the delay if you're playing a fullscreen game.
If you're defragmenting an external and there's a sudden power loss, whatever file it was working on at the moment, needs to be deleted. It's broken for good.
Recovery software even deadlocks on teh file until you delete it.
But there's no "bad sectors" on the drive. Just a really broken file that deadlocks software. :erm:

Ugh. I remember I saw a 3TB Cloud Drive for about $50 at a Sam's Club. I forgot to bring my wallet, so I decided next time. Once we got there a few days later, they were all gone. It didn't help the website didn't really say anything. I was in a bad mood for the rest of the day, I think. That was a month ago or so, so the summer might tease me again. Skyrim could've just been made backwards compatible, but that's not how Sony rolls...

I guess this doesn't really count as a purchase, but considering they're replacements of items I've bought before, I guess it counts.

I contacted Brainwavz about self causing issues I had with two pairs of two particular earphones of theirs: the Delta and the Jive. This company has been known to have half luck with their construction quality. Some have pairs that have remained solid overtime, while others quickly fell apart weeks or months after arrival. I've been in the camp that the build quality has been very solid. So much so to the point that I cause them to break, because I'm not that responsible of a person.

After a couple of questions back and forth, I was instructed to do a process I was familiar with, given that I had done replacements with them before (on the same products in fact). Basically, I had to write specific information on a blank piece of paper and cut up the earphone in four pieces on the paper so that I could take a picture. I send that picture and I wait for them to tell me when shipping hits. It sounds like a strange process at first, but then you realize it's to confirm to them that the pair is to be disposed of in order to be replaced. Wait a day or so and you get your package!

I think Brainwavz is an awesome company for audio products. Their two earphones that I own sound very solid for the price and are very well made. Plus, their customer support is absolutely awesome. Go look on their site to see what interests you.

It was certainly an enjoyable film, but I wouldn't be sure about putting it in favorites, even in the franchise.

So thankful this existed. I don't like the head that made the normal thing expensive and the 2015 Blu-ray was too bare bones, so this was the perfect compromise. Took me a while, but it'll be worth it.

Agreed. You'd think the 5th film in a franchise would be the worst, but there's just something about it that I love. Don't know what it is. I'm disappointed the score isn't great, that's the one thing I'd improve about it. Its got some decent cues but overall I don't care for it.

That disc only does have the theatrical version, but the most recent release does include both. The Extended Special Edition doesn't have luck though.

I finally made my first Quboz purchase, with the help of Private Internet Access. It had to be a much cheaper buy, since I blew nearly $30 for the T2 set.
It was Amy Can Flyy's Letting Go Of The Monster for $1.13. So much better than paying $7 on Tidal for only three versions of the same song.
This will be my last purchase for a bit, since I went through $50 quickly. I'm going to deposit money eventually to even things out.
I'll just see how my visit to Las Vegas goes for the millionth time.

DTS Headphone:X is the same DTS headphone that Hans Zimmer was using for his Z+ apps on mobiles.

They've matrixed the movie with a better DTS headphone algorithm that simulates better surround sound over the old Dolby Heapdhone protocol.

Only difference would be what you care about when it comes to special features and the cosmetics of the case.

You know... this is actually a real bummer for the movie.

Snyder hasn't done IMAX before.
Nolan has, but he won't force the bluray to have alternating aspect ratios when it's Snyder's project.

We might have to wait half a year for a re-release, ala Star Trek: The Compendium.

The Compendium was great for a watch.
But the they really lowered the bitrate for the open shots. There was significant banding in the whole movie. It was distracting.
For such a huge franchise, you'd think they'd get someone to pay special attention to it.

Paramount is not the greatest for releases.
I don't think Brad Bird is ever going to touch MI:GP ever again. The studios probably won't touch it again until it gets a UHD-BD release in 4K, then they'll probably consider making a version with switching AR.

I'll wait for Christmas sales to see what happens with the movie.

Why are you keen in getting the original AR for IMAX scenes? I don't get the deal.

The IMAX scenes would be cropped to 1.78:1 on bluray.
Visually, you see a lot more. Especially if it's been filmed to show more.

The switching doesn't phase me like most people.

It adds to the cinematic experience.
And especially if I've watched it already in a linear fashion where none of it is in 1.78:1.

Dolby has advanced a lot in ways of changing audio.

It's largely matrixing to upscale and produce phantom channels.

For home users, if you buy an Atmos reciever, you have 2 options:
1) install speakers in the ceiling
2) aim the speakers at an angle and bounce it off the ceiling

Most users say it works best if you buy and use the extra speakers.

But that alone shows how advanced matrixing is getting these days.
We'll never achieve that at home.
At least we won't be able to replicate it on PC for any movie we want.

They'll probably release software players that will do their best to matrix the audio for a decent upscale.
But reverse engineering the plugins to get a hack for encoding purposes (like Dolby Headphone in Foobar2000) is a longer ways away yet.

About a month ago I scored me a PS2 slim (SCPH-77001, Satin Silver) for $4.99 at a Salvation Army store. It was originally marked at $9.99. The system came with itself and the power cord, but I already had the latter accessories for my PlayStation 1, and the system was a little bit dirty and scratched, but works like an absolute charm! Definitely my best thrift store find yet, and you couldn't get a deal like that anywhere in South Carolina often.

They are fast these days.

Ordered Supergirl and The Flash, can't wait to post them, as I always have...

Neely always has seemed very humbled by fan support for his music - I suppose because producing music for four (or is it five now?) different television shows is very hard work!

I placed my order of The Killing Joke, Batman Vol. 4 and Justice League less than two hours after the products went live, and already autographs for the first two were already gone! I hope that I get a signed copy of JL, at least! It would be a real treat to have my favorite composers' autographs on one of my favorite television soundtracks.

I've never played a Pok�mon game outside the first generation; I've only put a small amount of time into Yellow, and a large amount of time into Blue. I have to say, I hated to see my Squirtle evolve. :laugh:

There's a lot of awesome Pok�mom throughout every generation, but I'll go ahead and say that I think the first three or so generations have the best Pok�mom (especially the first :laugh:)

I'd never buy the re-issue simply on principal - it omits two superfluous but nevertheless nice-to-have tracks in order to "preserve the integrity of the initial release".

Second Quboz purchase.

Had bought a PS Vita Slim with a few games in the last week. Because I don't have online access from where I'm currently at, I had to start over on all the games, especially Disgaea 4. Also have the new Hatsune Miku game pre-ordered and paid off. Can't wait for it.

My issue with 7digital is that not everything is available in lossless. Plus, it does that thing with Tidal and Juno, where the prices jump once you pick a higher format. While it makes sense, it doesn't help my wallet.

With Quboz, the prices are easier to deal with. Plus, if you make an account in a nationality it supports, then you could easily still buy stuff. You'll just need a translator or be lucky at guessing.

My Dad just bought a 4K UHD Samsung TV with a Soundbar for around $1000.

Qobuz is in the US I think.. and I also tried VPN and didn't work.

Also, I just got an Iron Man 3 Blu-ray for $3.74 at Walmart! $3.74! They were desperate to rid of the damn thing! They never make their film prices that low. The only time I'll probably buy a Disney Blu-ray.

Would've been better to price it at $3.42. :laugh:

Quboz doesn't work in America either. What I did was make an account in the French language that started it off. It worked wonders for me.

Flash would be easier than Arrow, from the looks of it. You'd either lose part of Oliver's body, or his entire bow/arrow.
