It's overlong and besides the music, which the films actively distracts from with the intense special effects, it doesn't quite add anything to the original story or whatever bare skeleton plot of it has remained embedded in our minds.

It's good in the same way hitting yourself in the head with a hammer is good, once you stop with the hitting. It's a two hour dirge. Theron is in it for about five minutes, Viggo spends the movie slowly dying and the film looks like it was lensed through a used tea bag.

But other than that it's a wonderful journey through post-apocalyptic America.

3 Episodes Into Season 2.....It Is Very Intense, Way Better Than S1.

I stopped watching it after E4, S1. The cinematography tired me. Now and again I will watch and read bits about it. I don't need to be a regular viewer to know that the production team behind that show lacks any creativity whatsoever. I peeked at the trailer focusing on the early season's Maniax threat (and what a woefully premature outright inane twist that was); scenes involving the non-Joker rob and deface so much of what compelled everyone to miscall Nolan a genius for The Dark Knight. It's shameful. I don't need to be someone who knows the industry, artistry and kind of people involved in both to know that, even for a show openly constructed on soapy clich�s, Gotham is either written by children or imbeciles. It is, after Quantico, one of the trashiest and most self-indulgent shows currently on air.

It is though :/ There's plenty of amazing tv shows out there right now. I highly recommend The Americans, Justified (finished airing) and in terms of sit-coms, The Grinder has just started airing and I love it. It stars Rob Lowe as a tv actor whose big legal show just concluded and the "mole" guy from Austin Powers as his brother, a real lawyer. It is absolutely hysterical.

We aren't what we watch or listen to and not because of that "art/appreciation is subjective" nonsense. We all have different reasons for watching. Despite having just lambasted it, I do watch Quantico. Surprisingly it has less to do with the brainless buffoon that is Priyanka Chopra and more with the entertainment that we get from holding collective shaming sessions concentrating on its many, many, many (genuinely bemusing how many) logical missteps it can have in just a 40 minute episode. But we still watch it. Same goes for pre-DBC McConaughey rom-coms.

Because I didn't say country of origin - I said original language. English is the language of both the UK and the States (well, mostly). If I spoke English, but lived in a foreign country, I'd buy the English editions even just for the English writing on the cover/spine. But I understand what you mean - you can always watch the English version if you want to on the foreign editions.

I don't really explain myself well, but it's just a normal thing. If the editions of your country are good enough, you buy 'em. If they're not, you go for imports. :P

Never understood why people by an incomplete movie collection when there's a fifth film and going to be more. It's like when WB released a million versions of the Harry Potter "year ____ through ____ collection"

I imagine those incomplete box sets are meant mainly as easy birthday presents. But there are collectors who are compelled to collect as much merchandise as they can, regardless of how many times they've bought the exact same product before.

Go to the Blu-ray.com forums and you'll find people asking about the quality of the slipcovers to determine if they should double-dip for that particular slipcover. :laugh:

I am absolutely head-over-heels for the new Pixar DVD slipcovers. Having them all in a beautiful set like that would be PERFECT. But they're just the standard releases and I already have several 2-Disc editions. So I won't allow myself to buy them all over again just for the covers. I won't. I won't. Honest.

There doesn't seem to be a 2-Disc edition of Iron Man 3 with a cardboard slipcover, which I'm really annoyed about, as I already have the 2-Disc editions of both IM and IM2 with cardboard slipcovers.

well, when the first blu-ray of the trilogy came out i wanted to upgrade, but after seeing the bad picture quality, i couldn't bring myself to support that crap.
same thing with jurassic park or predator.

But it's REALLY a missed oportunity of Universal to remaster the trilogy for 4K or AT LEAST give the HD masters in a new AVC coded and without DNR

not really. the dcp of bttf looks extremely good. no dnr, nice colors, good sharpness.

maybe when 4k blu-ray starts universal will do the proper release.

Then went to Sunglass Hut and the guy who was there Monday night was there again (my brother and I were there to get him a pair of Wayfarerers). He said it would also be $90 for new lenses. But since I bought my Oakleys at Sunglass Hut (yet they were out of warranty), he worked with me and just gave me a brand new pair altogether for $80. Then got a pretzel and large cherry coke from Auntie Anne's, $5.81.

One of my coworkers was trying to avoid all the trailers for TFA leading up to it's release. Last he and I spoke about it was July. I worked with him on Friday and I said "so Nick, are you still boycotting/avoiding all the Star Wars trailers?" and he goes "I caved, I watched them all Monday night when the final trailer was released during the game".

So I'll check in with you in a few months' time and ask what's going on ;)

I can't wait to buy Aladdin. I could possibly get it today since I got a hefty paycheck on Friday. Haven't seent the film in years. It'll look stunning in HD.

Yeah, I really enjoyed it. I watched the film in high school a few years ago. I guess it stuck with me. Very kiddish score. In a good way I guess, I liked it. Bought the FYC cause I collect them lol.

Custom. Oakley Oil Rigs. I was in Sunglass Hut last week when I saw them and tried them on. I liked them. I have the Gas Cans, love 'em. But they're all black. I needed some color. Even my Ray-Ban Aviators are the mirrored lense, no color. So I found these on the shelf in the store:

Then I did some research and found the custom ones that I now own. $10 cheaper than Sunglass Hut, free shipping and no tax. Plus they look less girly. I wasn't really feeling the clear plastic frame.
