I finally saved up enough money to buy my first Amp & Speaker combo, and will be purchasing a record player sometime in the next few weeks as well..

I am in love with vintage technology. The amp is a Yamaha CR-820, from 1977, fully refurbished and in a supremely like-new condition. The two speakers are AR (Acoustic Research) 18a speakers. I am not sure of the year but the mesh is so new it has to be broken in. Any suggestions for a turntable? Currently I am feeding audio from my pc into the amp via an external USB 3.0 DAC. I am so in love with the pristine sound...

Just ordered "Spirit: Der Wilde Mustang" in Blu-ray. Basically, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.. in Amazon Germany's marketplace, 18 euros, goes up to 23-24 with shipping.

Much more than I should pay for the movie (it's worth only 10 euros or so) but I paid for.. a new, sealed copy that it's not to so expensive (compared to other offers from scalpers) of the first print edition I've been wanting so hardcore for long of this movie with the white skies of Dreamworks instead of the new, purple, simpler thingie. It's much better, cover wise, also the package has more quality, and unlike the new edition, this one is reversible to avoid the calification logo..

I said it's either now or never. I've already scaped this movie twice.. not a third time. It's hard to find this first edition now out of print!

If you love music, you have to have a good audio system that's all and this system is one of the best, the shitty sound card in my Asus ROG G571 is ridiculous regarding this hi end DAC and the HD800 need an amplifier btw, it's even not the cost of 1 speaker in my hi end audio system so it's not too much because I hear the mostly time with my computer.

Music does have a price.
People just don't remember that anymore.

If you love your music, it doesn't really matter how you listen to it, it's just that you do. I can't stress enough how high end products aren't gonna be the best for everyone, as cheaper items can still do as good of job to the normal person.

So did I, for a while and finally am able to get it. My father and I love it; it has 3D and 2D, it's pretty and red. Perfect.

I recommend you get it from Ebay instead of Zavvi though.. some americans sell it at a nice price. And I hate Zavvi. I've always heard bad things about them. Some had nice experiences, some didn't.

And mine is starting to be bad. After a mistake I cancelled the first order of the steelbook, ordered it again because the other was suposed to be cancelled and now I get an email of Zavvi telling me it couldn't be cancelled (idk why I cancelled it a minute after I ordered it) and that I'm gonna have to stand getting charged twice, get the product TWICE, and then DELIVER the other to them, with the annoyingness and coast of doing so..

I've gone to their customer service I fucking hope they cancel one of them.

Cool. I wouldn't be able to use one for school, since they're still insistent on using pencil and paper. Besides, I appreciate the challenge of using traditional methods, since it can help me better with my English skills.

I'd still want one though for other work. What model and manufacturer is it?

Pros: It has Flash storage, like what iPod's use, so the chances of failure are 1000 times slimmer than a tradition mechanical hard drive. It' a "Cloudbook" so you're meant to use the included OneDrive 1TB cloud storage but it costs you money after one year. The flash storage is only 64GB, but that is plenty considering it's a note taking machine. And I use dropbox anyways.

This was my strategy in college as well. It was a while ago, so 17 hours of battery life back then would have been a godsend. I was happy to get 8.

I had one class where the professor banned laptops for note taking purposes. I was flabbergasted, and openly questioned to his face whether he had forgotten that he was not teaching his class in the 1990s. He told me he'd let it slide if I took notes on a laptop and just didn't mention it to anyone, so I agreed and showed up the next day with my laptop open ready to take notes. He'd apparently forgotten our conversation and immediately told me to close it.

Needless to say, I dropped the class.

The pop songs are very cheesy and all but melodic and I love this one more than the first movie OST. So.. I bought it. Only downside to it; it's the Spanish edition, which has four more spanish tracks that I dislike a lot, but, at the end, it still has all the english originals in it, it's new and sealed and cheap, so I said, to heck with it, why not.

I also bought the Heidi album I love so much in 16/44 FLAC from 7digital.es. It'll do me nicely til somehow the original CD is back in stock in Amazon.es.

It's here. Surprised it was in actual shrink wrap. Like they put real effort in this.

The results were predictable. This 'record label' will never cease to amaze in how they can use easily distributed lossy material several times, yet sometimes get lucky in having stuff I can't find elsewhere.

I'm filing for a return. I at least have the excuse the second disc is busted somewhat.

Oh, I never doubted it was fake. I just wondered what the contents were, which was indeed scorepranos exact share back from 2012, only split into more files and having some 'bonus' tracks. All in proper packaging that would've benefited from better artwork.
