Got them a week ago. Sound quality is amazing. My bedroom is just too small for a full surround sound set. But these work just as well. Great for games but even better for films. Watched Saving Private Ryan on them a few days ago and was blown away.

I honestly can't see how someone is blown away with headphones on. Immersion is lost because you still feel that weight on your head.

Purchased seasons 2 and 3 of LOST through the Amazon marketplace on Wednesday morning. I didn't watch the show while it was on TV, but a friend sent me a copy of the first season and I really enjoyed watching it last week, so I hunted down the following two seasons for less than $20 a piece in brand new condition.

As fate would have it, season 3 showed up in the mail today, but I'm still waiting for season 2. I blame the island. And Sawyer (because hey, everyone else blames Sawyer. I just want to be part of the "in" crowd.)

Also, I've more-or-less purchased Scott Pilgrim on Blu-ray. Granted, the film has only been in theaters for two weeks, but it's a foregone conclusion, really. You'd have to tackle me to the ground and sit on my chest until the end of time to stop me buying it.

This is, by and far, the most detailed limited edition I've ever seen - the sheer amount of detail in it is incredible. A 'hand-written' diary detailing the last days of Reach - news tickers - DNA scans - intelligence reports - UNSC id card - there is treasure after treasure in here for Halo fans to discover. This is truly a final love letter from Bungie to Halo fans, and it shows.

The game itself, although i've only played the first level, is the best Halo game I've enjoyed. It combines the 5-seconds-of-fun-repeated-infinitely mantra of Halo and combines it with a beautiful new graphics engine and a story-line on par with Modern Warfare.

I don't think Sports Champions is better than Wii Sports Resort, but it's equal - the motion controls are better, and the graphics are of course better (although to be honest, not up to the standard I expected), but half of the charm of Wii Sports are the Mii avatars - Sports Champions would have been better if you could use your PS Home avatar.

Also, i'm not sure if this is just me, but the PlayStation Eye was a pain in the ass to place correctly, and the fact that you have to pretty much stay in one position for it to 'read' properly is annoying, considering that I usually move around.

So far, the Move is OK, but no better than the Wii - i'm sure that will change, though. The echochrome ii demo was fun, and I can't wait for the Heavy Rain Move patch. I just wish the launch titles weren't so underwhelming.

Wii sports was never fun. Just flailin'.

It's not like you'd want to play it on PC anyway. The interface is probably the worst I've ever dealt with and there's cursor lag. It's better played with a controller, but even then I thought the game made things a bit of a chore.

@Dr Faustus: I finished reading Heart of Darkness. I had read Conrad's The Secret Sharer before reading HoD and must say that I liked the former better. HoD is quite excellent in its own right however. It's incredibly dense and I'm not ashamed to admit that I had to read through it twice to fully understand everything that was going on in the plot. But, I kind of got the hang of reading it - it's not so much of a novel as it a persons recollection of an event. With that, HoD becomes easier to get along with and to allowed me to flow with the narrative. I must say, Marlow tells one hell of a tale, and Kurtz was a fascinating character to behold. I can see why a lot of people do not like it and it isn't a book I'd just pick up to read either. But, I guess I've learned to appreciate it just because of taking it all in a classroom setting.

The movie for it - it's Apocalypse Now right? My professor told us about it in class the day after I had asked you! I think I'll check out this weekend - I keep hearing it's quite excellent.

You can pick up that album from Amazon. Be forewarned though Agent that the majority of the music on the soundtrack is scored by Jay Chattaway and not Jerry Goldsmith (if you're a fan of Goldsmith), who only does the main title theme. Also beware, there are appearantly a few tracks of what several reviewers describe as "hoedown" music.

All the Blackest Night trades should be out! There's a lot of stuff, but really, the main Blackest Night trade can be read by itself. If you wanted to read more, I'd suggest getting Blackest Night Green Lantern and Blackest Night: Green Lantern Corps. I'd actually recommend any of the Green Lantern War of Light stuff over most of the character tie-ins. They were really more about letting readers get to see more Black lanterns and selling more comics. War of Light, on the other hand, was the build-up to Blackest Night. Plus the Green Lantern issue with Larfleeze is one of the best things ever.

- 1x Intel Core i3 530 CPU - The i5 did not receive a price cut over here. RM550 is still too steep for my wallet :(
- 2x 1GB DDR3 1333MHz Kingston ValueRAM - down from 2x 2GB DDR3 1600 Kingston HyperX. Again, due to sacrificing for the sake of keeping costs low.
- 1x Vantec ion2 460w PSU
- 1x LG GSA-H22N IDE DVD-ROM drive.

I found that the latest iMacs spot i3 CPUs, making this a valid choice.

So they buy the Blu Ray and DVD pack and they can watch the DVD right away, and then when they finally get Blu Ray capability, they can watch the Blu Ray. It's a smart strategy. And it's nice for me, too, as I only have it for a limited time right now, and I don't have it on my computer at all, so on my computer, I can watch the standard Blu Ray disc.

It also let's Disney not have to sell the DVD at a lower price, about the only time they sell there movies under $19.99 is if you're lucky around christmas when some stores put the Pixar and Miyazaki movies at $15.

And it's a good way to speed up the transition from DVD to Bluray, you might start thinking about getting a bluray if you already have a dozen movies that are capable than starting from square one. Fuck no. I ditched those big, bulky, heavy things the instant I could. Then I repurchased the essential movies from my collection on Dvd. I kept like 3 because at the time Flight of Dragons and Project A-ko weren't on Dvd yet. I also recently found King Kong Vs. Godzilla on VHS stashed at the bottom of a box.

Thanks! As you yourself know, it's a great movie. When I was a kid, I never thought I would enjoy it, but after watching it, it became one of my childhood favorites.

No design on the mouse pad. It's one of those soft mouse pads with a soft wrist rest on it. So, it's just all black. :)

Have you tried Sunkist Citrus Fusion? I heard it's a really good lime flavored beverage, but it's not available in certain areas.

I think I've seen in but didn't pay enough attention to see exactly what it was. I might have to look for it next time.

I think I'll get some Crush Cherry and mix it with my Crush Lime.

I'm not really big on strawberry soda or strawberries in general. I'd like to try mixing cherry and lime sodas. The cherry and lime combo sodas I've tried thus far have been disappointing. Unfortunate, considering I've tried cherry limeade juice and it was delicious, but that flavor mixture hasn't translated too well into soda form imo.

I like Orange juice with sprite/7-up/Sierra mist mixed in it. About half and half of a tall glass. I wish that cranberry mist wasn't just christmas. I mean I don't really miss it but it's something that would be nice to have and not horde it.
