For me the game didn't have that 'mood' that the older RE games had.
This is my same issue with Silent Hill 4: The Room. It just didn't 'feel' like it was part of the series.


There weren't any 'real' scary moments or the lovely stupid stories.
I know part of it is the controls not sucking & getting better writers, but...still.

The older RE games just had a scarier atmosphere and felt more like you were trying to survive in a horror.
I felt like they were 'Silent Hill', but with campy stories & more action.


RE4 felt more like an action game with some horror elements.
Closer to being like 'Syphon Filter' or 'Legacy of Kain' than anything scary.


Hell, even that isn't accurate because Syphon Filter is stealthy with some suspense & Legacy of Kain did feel like is you were alone & surviving a hopeless journey at times.

Like I said, not a bad game, just not a good RE. However, it was better than RE5: Resident Evil 4 - Africa Edition.

I think I enjoyed RE5 more than RE4 for the co-op play and it made it more challenging to manage items in your inventory. They both have their ups and downs though. :)

Apparently, taking on Polly Pocket is what Hasbro had in mind by shrinking Strawberry and co back to fairy-sized when they took the rights over from Playmates.

Although my feelings about the TV series fluctuated a lot (like Agent, because apparently DiC can't decide on which direction the show should take in the later seasons, probably due to influences from the changing of hands of the toy licensee from Ban-Dai to Playmates). I avoided the Playmates toys tho, and I originally have no intent on collecting the Hasbro 2009 relaunch ones too (especially after hearing of Hasbro's plans for the series and being put off by the Good Morning America interview that someone alerted me to). That is, until I saw the Hasbro toys on a shelf at the local Toys R Us. I have a problem with Toys R Us as well for not bringing in complete sets of many things they sell, but when I saw those, something inside me snapped and made me buy them.

Of course, then I turned to the uncharted darkness of eBay to complete the collection. Hilarity ensued when I got caught in a bidding war for the then-only-unit-on-ebay of that remaining portion of the set, and when someone outbid me, something inside me snapped.

A "ConnectLand" brand USB hub for the Wii. And the Wii USB LAN adapter in the mail.

Somebody else's router in the neighborhood is having the same channel as my router. My Wii and PS3 started having poor connectivity to the net as of late. Plus, if I turn off my router, another SSID that wasn't there when I last set up my router pops up when I do a scan on my company laptop.

I'm not changing channels on the router, I already did the last time. Plus, why should I change channels? I was there first!

Imo, router manufacturers should put a free channel detection capability on their routers. So asshats like those neighbors won't simply use a channel that has already been taken first.

It's the opposite over here. If you walk into a 7-Eleven, you'll find lots of Pepsi, but all the 7-11s I've went to so far has no Coke. Gas stations, tho, tend to have both, unless it's one of those Shells that has a tie-in deal with 7-Eleven.

As for my latest purchase:
