Oh right I was thinking of Monkey head Andros form Star Fox. Eastman & Laird HATE her, and with good reason she had powerful magic and defeated Shredder in 5 sec. but she was a huge ditz and never did anything with her super powers.

Yeah, I remember that show being terrible. The idea of putting the Turtles in space worked in some of the comics, though. I remember one storyline had them fighting in some kind of intergalactic Colosseum. This was years ago, though, and all I can think of now is the bionic shark enemy. Armaggon?

You fight Shredder by throwing Foot Soldiers at him in "Techodrome, Let's Kick Shell." Then he sends you back in time, which is why the next stage is "Prehistric Turtlesaurus."

Neon Nightriders was the one with you on hover boards and Krang was the boss in that, later you fought him in a flying saucer in Star Base: Where No Turtle Has Gone Before.

That Shredder fight was a the end of Technodrome, Let's Kick Shell and that had me stuck or a while too. When you play the game on hard all the foot clan guys that you throw at shredder have those shield things.

Well, that's the thing that broke the show for me. Rita wasn't so scary and there were funny moments. Zedd was downright nightmare fuel even though I was already pretty much entering my teenage years. In other words, the show went darker and edgier after Rita left and I failed to evolve my tastes with it.

I wish they had did the crossover between the Turbo Rangers and Space Rangers. The sentai version was able to do it, and the American version *had* a way to do it since they created the Robot Rangers towards the end of the Turbo season. I was really hoping they were going to do it, but instead we got a lame cross over with only Justin as the Blue Turbo Ranger... eh... it wasn't lame, but they could have done something more epic with it.

Well, you could always pick up the original xBox for extremely cheap off eBay. This is why I still keep old consoles around- I never trust having one console emulate another, especially if their CPUs are of different architecture.

I only saw one once at my uncle's place in Singapore, and it didn't look that big. Iirc it's roughly slightly longer than my Slim PS3 in terms of height and length, but just about the same in width. The fact that he could carry it into the store room when he's not using it seems to imply that it's pretty lightweight, too.

i never said i didnt have the original xbox, but unpligging the 360 to plug the xbox.. ugh.
also, i need a new controller for it.

and yes, the 5200 is bigger than the xbox, but is not as heavy (unless you store the AC adapter inside it)

Idk. Maybe it's because the Samsungs I had were locally made. Went for them because they were cheap, about RM240(~US$80) a pop. Bought 3, one fried completely, another started having issues powering on. The third one was fine, but I sold it off when switching to LCD :x

Nope. It's been much longer than that since Vanilla SF4 came out, and right now Super is the only upgrade that Capcom has approved. There is a possibility of a balance patch at some point, though frankly I'd rather they just left it as is. Even though Makoto is bad in this game. =/

Dunno... Saw that in a marked down display for 5$AUSD and thought 'Why not?' If I don't like it, it's a early Christmas gift for one of my braindead cousins.

I have the Simpsons game for PS3. Got it for $10 at Best Buy sometime in late 2008. I've never really had the motivation to play passed a couple of levels. Kinda sad since I love the Simpsons so much. But the humor in the game is great.

I found some bookends that I'VE been looking for but it feels like a shallow victory.

The reason being since I upgraded to this new box, it's now detecting the old ViewSonic as not HDCP capable. Considering the age of the ViewSonic, I'm not surprised, since the PS3 wasn't even launched yet when I bought it, and HDCP wasn't important to Windows XP. My second reason for picking the Acer is the multi-touch touchscreen capabilities :P

Well, my experience tells me that Western Digital drives are the most reliable, but expensive. You could probably get a good balance of price, performance and reliability out of Seagate drives. Or even Samsungs. I've never had any of the three fail on me before, but I've seen Seagates fail on my relatives' PCs tho.

WD would have been my choice if I hadn't been swayed by the 2tb on the Hitachi. I have a little Maxtor now, it hasn't failed me before but I've heard bad things about the brand :( I'll check out some WD + Seagate drives. :) Thank you for the suggestions.

I've had a Maxtor fail on me in the past, but it was mostly my own fault for introducing a disk-and-BIOS-raping virus onto the PC. I even still have two Maxtors running in my lab on two very ancient boxes (one for DOS games that won't run correctly on XP or under DosBox, and another that I've re-purposed into a firewall).

To be truthful, you don't have to return the Hitachi if you don't want to. Who knows? You may get lucky and it'll last you years. You've been lucky with a Maxtor. But if you feel safer exchanging it for a Seagate or WD, by all means have it exchanged.

Btw, Seagate now owns Maxtor and the quality of Maxtor disks have since improved tremendously. So yeah. The Hitachi Deskstars may or may not be better than when IBM ran the show, but the lack of reviews makes the disk seem questionable.

I didn't see it when I was there, I just found it on the site. But now I am leery of using the Hitachi one. Agreed. Bonus points if you go for a NAS casing- it'll make the drive available to all the computers on your home network without having to manually share the disk out (which presents additional problems). Some NAS casings can even do BitTorrent, allowing you to torrent without leaving the PC on (which isn't useful at all to those who leave their PCs on 24/7, but for those who don't it comes in very useful).

I do that too and the only time I lost anything was a bunch of photo sets when I didn't know that adding/moving files on a burnt DVD-R pretty much kills everything on the disc.
