Okay so I've just spent the past few hours categorizing and uploading my library of TARDIS sound effects for a friend who's trying to get started in audio drama, thought I'd share here (
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/3apdi499v4l64/TARDIS_SFX_Kit) :)
Most of these are custom cuts, and some were sourced from previous uploads here. Quality varies a bit, but it's all been optimized for editing!
If anyone's got some effects to add (in particular console beeps and/or lever/switch noises) please let me know, as any additions are welcome! :)

It gave me nearly my only claim to fame. I was the first to post the complete soundtrack to For Your Eyes Only on this very forum. No real ability on my part, though, as the DVD had been remixed into 5.1 and they had thrown the music only into the rear surrounds. Still, I named the tracks, so that's an achievement! :-)

I was able to do that with Funny Girl's music from DVD because they did the exact same thing with music-only being the rear channels. but unfortunately I didn't have the foresight to save the files in 320kbps. Now I don't have the DVD anymore. lol

There's also that unidentified music from Edge of Destruction which unless someone stumbles across it by accident is gonna remain unavailable.
On a related topic, I've been buying a few of the Chappell vinyl releases and now have a few full track titles which we didn't know before:
Dramatic Bridges 2 from The Space Museum, despite being only seven seconds long, has a title of its own: "Unseen Danger" - composed by Denis Rycoth; performed by The Telecast Orchestra, cond: Elliott Mayes
Mysterious 1 - the drummy thing from Inferno - is "Omen of Fear" - also composed by Denis Rycoth; and again performed by The Telecast Orchestra, cond: Elliott Mayes
Now then. I've not been able to check this one yet (i.e. by actually playing it), but the track from Tenth Planet we know and love as Drama in Miniature Pt. 2 appears to be actually "Pt. 2, Part 1" (Yes, Drama in Miniature confusingly has 2 parts and each of those parts has two further sub-parts. I would call it Pt. 2(a) but that's not what's on the vinyl, and, as you may have noticed, I'm terribly anal. However, if anyone wants to call it that I won't be cross.) Anyway, it's called "Time For the Reaper". IIRC it was credited to "Denis Farnon" on that awful crackly Tenth Planet CD: in fact, it was actually composed by John Denis and performed by the Wind & Percussion Ensemble conducted by Robert Farnon.

Thank you! Now if only someone could go through the photo galleries that contain music and suites for stories where the full score or all that survives hasn't been released, and compile tracks into how they were in the episodes to then see how much of the score has actually been released. Just to drag this thread back to 1967, you may recall that Youngbeat, used in The Evil of the Daleks, was put out on one of those CD compilation some years ago, and the track was not the one used in Episode 1, the music from the radio.
Has the correct track ever been identified? If not, I have. It is on the same album as Youngbeat (which is called Youngbeat) and is actually Mexican Beat.
If this hasn't already been put up here, apply within.

The Invisible Enemy (taken from episode)
The Sun Makers (around 2 mins)
The Sun Makers is loaded with "special sounds" looped over the music. Its rather a pain.
And the same happens with all but 40 seconds of music on The Android Invasion.
Carnival of Monsters (0:12)
That Carnival of Monsters cue (When the Doctor and Jo find chickens in the hold of the SS Bernice), thankfully, is relatively clean, with only the last 3s of it having a sound effect fade into it, but luckily again, that's just at the end fade of the cue.
Speaking of Carnival of Monsters, when going through all that had been released for it, I came up with 11 cues; 10 from episode 1 and one from episode 2, despite it being from the 'Music from Carnival of Monsters Episode 1' suite.
Attack of the Cybermen (apperantly has a feature of cybermen episodes with music over it)
It does; The Cyber Generations (
https://mega.co.nz/#!INRhzTjS!7zsmiJJV2133GfXtOSYf2BX3xVfHvVgNUHjjQjH O5MA). None of the music featured on that extra is 'unreleased' as-far as I'm aware.

Lemme check on "The Android Invasion"...
It is hearable tho, and the last cue isn't. My task is to create tracks from what exists from every Dudley Simpson score. I think they should release them all!
Looking at "The Tapes" section on the TARDIS Boxset, The Seeds of Death has a "copy retained in RWS Archive", so we think it is complete and we know that The Sun Makers exist. There is also every chance that Parts One and Two of The Android Invasion can be found as Parts Three and Four were found mislabbeled at the RWS Archive!

That Carnival of Monsters cue (When the Doctor and Jo notice chickens in the hold of the SS Bernice), thankfully, is relatively clean, with only the last 3s of it having a sound effect fade into it, but luckily again, that's just at the end fade of the cue.
Speaking of Carnival of Monsters, when going through all that had been released for it, I came up with 11 cues; 10 from episode 1 and one from episode 2, despite it being from the 'Music from Carnival of Monsters Episode 1' suite.
It does; The Cyber Generations (
https://mega.co.nz/#!INRhzTjS!7zsmiJJV2133GfXtOSYf2BX3xVfHvVgNUHjjQjH O5MA). None of the music featured on that extra is 'unreleased' as-far as I'm aware.
That one from episode 2 is the last cue correct, because i've analysed episode one and never heard it, i thought it may of been unused.

Thanks for that. The Planet of the Spiders cue is like that as well, like various over cues from the DVD Photo Gallerys released

Yeah, it's heard at 10:27-10:47 from when the Doctor and Jo begin to follow the circuit and onto when Vorg's tape is declared a forgery.

Thank You!, so why didn't they call it from 1 & 2? Maybe the cue was going to be used in Episode 1 or is there music to Episode 2?

And the same happens with all but 40 seconds of music on The Android Invasion.

I can't really rip anything right now as I'm trying to finish up the Era collections.
After all this work is done on these, if someone hasn't posted them I will see what I can do. I've never ripped the galleries for any reason but I can if somebody doesn't in the near future.

I'm pretty pissed off that we haven't had the whole tape of those Dudley Simpson "Doctor Who Library" cues released. How long is it, how many cues, which cues? Held in private hands my arse, this should be on CD.

As should all of Dudley Simpson's surviving music from Doctor Who. I do not understand why Silva Screen can't just release a big box set of 'Doctor Who: The Surviving Music of Dudley Simpson' or something like that. Or at the very least a full soundtrack release for The Sun Makers.

My sentiments exactly.
Mark Ayres has hinted over the years that this would eventually happen, but it's taking a very long time to see the light of day.

And I think we also need a full release of Blyton's Revenge Of The Cybermen.

Also Don Harper's score for the Invasion and every other unreleased complete classic scores that survive.

Can you please post a link to that? All I have is Dr Matt's post which only features six cues and to get the full score would be great as I've only heard of it being a score yet to be released in full.

Here's my 11-Disc set of music from Doctor Who which I call the "era" collections.

Before we get to the tracklists I want to point out that not ALL of these tracks are free of FX or "special sounds" but the bulk of them are (You might also hear some muffled dialogue here or there but THAT isn't that prevelant). For the earlier Doctors I chose stories with music available or stories whose FX were easily reduced or removed, this became very problematic during the UNIT era, lots of guns, slamming of doors and poor old Bessie running about. The sources used for these collections vary. If they are episode rips I have used the best possible versions available (for instance "Spearhead From Space"'s source was from my BluRay). Some of the files I used were posted here in this thread by various people (CGCJ, Amanda, Chris666eden, Recons, hybrid01, gwlock1, DrMatt1974 (although I had already ripped most of the Isolated Scores myself along the way), WhichDoctor?, gnawingagony, dragonOllie15 and many, many others along the way) so I want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has helped this project finally reach its completion many years after I had originally envisioned it (I actually started planning these in 2003!)
Obviously, not EVERY story is going to be represented but I feel these collections are a good sampling of the first 50 years.
As many of you know, I not only compiled this collection I mixed, arranged, mastered and conceived the entire thing. The artwork was created by me. This has been a true "labor of love". ;)
Now... what's that you say? You want to know what's on this collection? Oh, alright... If I MUST....

EDIT: I just caught, thanks to hybrid01, that "The Colin Baker Era" is 4 minutes too long to burn to a compact disc. If you are inclined to burn these to a disc you can still burn "The Colin Baker Era" to a traditional disc if you simply remove the long versions of the theme arranged by Peter Howell and Dominic Glynn.

I used other Who fans artwork for McGann's era cover for various Big Finish stories. I had no idea (and still don't) who or what this alleged SF1 character is not do I know why the artist used the image they used for their artwork.

I'm leaning towards no at the moment as Hartnell - Pertwee, Colin, McCoy and Eccleston have no unused suites. I don't really know if I want to do a set that's 75% Murray Gold as the music itself is very readily available.

Ah!! That one was never intended to be on this set as it doesn't exactly fit ANY of the albums. lol I need to rip the entire score from the DVD and figure out track names (unless someone will let me just send them the .wav file of the entire score and they can name the tracks for me!) and add it to my iTunes.

Impossible Ego, I've just listened to the suite you compiled and remastered for The Mind of Evil. This, alone is worth people writing your name out in fireworks in the sky. Bloody wonderful - thank you. (And I've still only listened to half this collection, which I think will become the definitive one for me, certainly for the 60s and 70s music.) Absolutely sterling work.

It's wonderful to be able to listen to suites from the likes of The Massacre, Web of Fear, The War Games...stuff that just doesn't show up on the 'official' releases. I enjoyed the 50th anniversary collection, but this is simply a much more representative (and listenable) sample of the music that was actually used in the show.

I'm so glad this set is being enjoyed by so many! When I started out with the idea of these collections long ago I only ever thought I'd be making them for myself. And even then it was going to be just what was commercially available. Then one day I thought "gee, I THINK I can get more music out of "The Mind Of Evil" than what's available. So I did." Then the collection sort of floundered in the back of my mind for almost 9 years. Then with technology advancements for audio mixing and the discovery of this board and all the wonderful posts of stock music and such I started toying with the idea of resurrecting the collections. And then with the discovery that I could remove sound effects (check "The Evil Of The Daleks" for proof of how well that can be accomplished with some tracks as I was able to completely remove all clockwork sounds from nearly 90 seconds of music to give us even MORE Dudley Simpson music) I decided to just go for it.
Again, you guys have made my year by all the positive comments. :)
Thank YOU.

I feel a huge varierty of different tracks and wonderful quailty to it (both sound and covers)
Plus it shows how much the show/music means to you by how much attention and work went into it.

Doctor Who Closing Titles (2001 Version) (0:57)
Doctor Who (2001 Version) (2:06)
The Night Of The Doctor (Suite) (Bonus Track) (4:56) (Please note that this suite will not fit with the rest of the collection if burned to a Compact Disc. It is included as a "digital only" bonus track.)
Maybe I am a pain in the ass, but "The Army Of Death" should go between "Silver Turk" and 2001's opening. And Dark Eyes 2 was released after anniversary :P
Nevermind mind that, it's still the most anticicpated stuff of last 2 years. Thank you. :)

I placed the McGann Big Finish stories (which I have absolutely NO CLUE about regarding timeline) in an order that was presented to me by someone else. If I got them out of order, let me know the correct order and everyone can renumber them and I'll make a note in the main postings. As for Dark Eyes 2 coming out after the 50th, oh well. It's an 8th Doctor story. I have NEVER said this was a "50th Anniversary" Collection. (In fact I kept telling everyone that this was not an "anniversary" set but everyone kept sort of adopting that name for them so I guess everyone here just sort of stuck with it.) This is exactly what its called: ERA Collections. The discs represent the individual Doctor's eras (generally just TV adventures but that would really screw McGann over) NOT 1963 - 12013.
As for unreleased stuff, there's really not much I didn't use except for some Murray Gold stuff and a few for Davison. I honestly don't know that I'm going to post anything more anytime soon as I feel I'd have to go back and TRY and find more to se for EVERY Doctor if I did.

CRAP! I used the wrong suites for a couple of the stories! I can re-upload the shorter length "disc" if need be. I forgot I had to re-edit a couple of suites to accommodate Vervoids. lol
Or an alternate option would be to just not include the extended Howell and Glynn mixes of the theme song on it if you want to burn it to disc. ;)

It was a miscalculation on my part re: Colin. I forgot that with extending Vervoids I needed to trim another suite or two. To burn Colin to a disc just exclude the Howell & Glynn long versions of the theme (they're basically already available on the 50th and the 25th so they aren't needed, really.)
Ok, here are the HiRes covers for anyone that wants them... (I did NOT make back inserts for these albums as I don't have a template for the new Silva releases to base the back inserts on.)

Hello everyone,
I'm new here, and I haven't had the time to scan through all ~300 pages, but is there a leak of any unreleased music from Matt's era? I've heard from a pretty decent source that there was a leak of music a while ago, but I can't find any evidence to support it.
If not, can someone direct me to an unreleased album? Trust me, I've had my run-in with music and SFX from Doctor Who, but I'd like to know if there's more out there.

I have a DTS 5.1 file from "The Next Doctor" but I don't know how to extract the music... Could you please help me? Many thanks in advance! :)
If you were to upload it, I could rip the music for you. If you want to do it yourself; you have to open it up in any audio editing software (I use Audacity as it's free, simple and easy to use (The following instructions are for Audacity)) and then remove/mute the audio track that features the dialogue (That is usually the third one down) and then find where each piece of music is, select the audio which features no music, then mute the selected audio by clicking

and then repeat the process until you are left with just the music and then select each piece of music you have isolated and export them by clicking 'File', 'Export selection...', if you just click export it will export the whole audio as one file and not the selected portion of the music. (If you want to export to mp3, you have to go into options and select 320kbps as the default settings are for 128kbps)
If you need any further help or find my instructions confusing, just ask and I can try to simplify them further.

Have you ever had a conversation with the miserable sod? It's being so cheerful that keeps him going...
It's not like he's done any of this work for free, either. We're hardly thanking him for his charity here. Besides, some of his restorations are actually pretty basic, using off-the-shelf software anyone can use, and a handful are downright worse than before he started (for a start he has zero grace or good taste when using noise reduction filters). His actual talent is very much secondary to the effort he spends talking himself up. I have physically watched him working on one of the Troughton audios and frankly I or anyone else here with a basic grounding in theory, a decent ear and knowledge of the software could have spent 15 years doing the same. He was in the right place at the right time, and got some of his mates to blag him a job. All he really has over anyone else here is connections and master access. BBCWW would have happily farmed the work out to someone else.
All in my opinion obviously, but a qualified one. I think he's a rude and arrogant man with a messiah complex who's hardly uniquely good at what he does and has spent years and years lording his miniscule lot over others.
I remember speaking to him about the Silurians and Autons DVD remasters, and how I thought the noise reduction artefacts and high-pitched whine were so bad I'd rather have heard the optical tracks from the prints. He claimed there were no such things - so interesting how someone who supposedly specialises in audio restoration seemingly is either cloth-eared or too ignorant to care.

The AC3 file is from the Specials Box set... I don't know why they added more music, is weird, yes.
Theres sound edit differences between the broadcast and boxset versions.
- In the scene when Jackson Lake describes his encounter with the Cybermen following the Cybershade sequence. The Music in the TV Broadcast is different to the final Boxset version. and what we got on the Specials CD was the Boxset version.
- In the scene inside the house when the Doctor opens the door and the cyberman stands there, The TV Broadcast did not have the brass sting used for shock effect. The Boxset does.
- The Scene when The Doctor shows Jackson Lake the Doctor's Info stamp. the music that plays includes choir in the TV Broadcast but not on the Boxset or Specials CD.
- The Scene when the Doctor states "The Cybermen are moving" and runs outside, Cybermen stomps can be heard on the Boxset but they were not present in the TV Broadcast.
Why they made these changes I have no idea.

So, the standalone DVD (Which, I'm afraid is in stereo but I can still get the music from it) has the broadcast version and the boxset has a version with changes to the music of the episode? I do not understand why these changes were made.
I also noticed changed music for the scene in-which Miss Hartigan arrives at the funeral.

That's Correct. I prefer the Standalone DVD Music.
Come to think of it, The Next Doctor suffered the Day of The Doctor treatment whereby the music we got on the CD was not what was present in the episode. Having listened to the DVD Release theres soooo many changes. Like choir layer added in some music on the boxset thats removed for the boxset release.
Almost EVERY track in the DVD Release has a Choir element and thats one MAJOR change on the Boxset release. I guess this will be another thing we will never know like why the original composed music for DOTD was never used.

10th Planet (

You'll have a lot of this stuff already, but there are a few interesting bits: Space Adventures 2 (Slow) - as usual, a 78 record played at 45rpm; used when Mondas first appears in Part 1. Also Machine Room (Fast), which appears in Part 2.
I've also included a lot of related tracks - not used in Dr Who but “companion pieces” to the tracks that were: the rest of Drama in Miniature, for example (full details below). This copy of Drama in Miniature is better than the one that appeared on the terrible Ochre Records CD, if I do say so myself.
Finally, there are the two tracks that are listed on the PasBs but do not appear: Drumdramatics 10 and Blast Off.
Music for Technology Pt.1 - Walter Stott
Drama in Miniature Pt. 2 (1) - Wind & Percussion Ensemble; conducted by Robert Farnon (John Denis)
Power Drill - Douglas Gamley
Space Adventure Pt.2 [Slow] - Martin Slavin
Machine Room - Douglas Gamley
Drumdramatics No. 7 (1) - Robert Farnon
Machine Room [Fast] - Douglas Gamley
Space Adventure Pt. 3 - Martin Slavin
NOT IN DR WHO
Blast Off! - Roger Roger
Drumdramatics 10 (1-4) – Robert Farnon
Drumdramatics 7 (2-8) – Robert Farnon
Space Adventure Pt. 1 - Martin Slavin
Drama in Miniature Pt. 1 (1 and 2) - Wind & Percussion Ensemble; conducted by Robert Farnon (John Denis)
Drama in Miniature Pt. 2 (2) - Wind & Percussion Ensemble; conducted by Robert Farnon (John Denis)
Music for Technology Pt.2 - Walter Stott
Generator – Douglas Gamley from the same 78 as Machine Room and Power Drill
Pile Driver – Douglas Gamley
Productivity – Douglas Gamley these last two were released at around the same time as the other Gamley tracks - they're from a different 78, but both sound distinctly Tenth Planet-y!
Funky, do you have enough of the score for the Tenth Planet to do a post of it all to have it as complete as possible to what is heard in the story? Same with Tomb of the Cybermen? (I have your post of music from Tomb of the Cybermen but found your track order confusing)

Hiya,
Not entirely sure what you mean - are you saying you'd like TP and Tomb as single suites? Or the individual tracks edited down to the exact TX versions?
I've certainly got 99% of the score for TP - the only thing that's missing is a single brief cue (that sounds very much like the other drumdramatics tracks) that's misidentified on the PasB...
EDITED TO ADD:
As for Tomb of the Cybermen:

I have to admit, that and 'The Seeds of Death' are some of my favourite suites from your 'Eras' soundtrack compilation! Both amazing scores by Dudley Simpson. (It's all amazing really but the Dudley Simpson suites are the best)
I am so proud of "Seeds" because I was able to remove the ice warrior noises from a lot of the music (much like the removal of all the clocks from ep 1 of "Evil of the Daleks") so we got even MORE Dudley!!

Ok, gotcha!
Let me explain:
Andromeda - Galaxy_Sidereal Vibrations - this is a rip from The Andromeda Breakthrough (the sequel to A For Andromeda) - it's not from Dr Who. I included it because it featured clean sections of Eric Siday's Galaxy before that track became available on the Dual Planet Ultra Sonic Perception CD. It's totally redundant now - it's not from Dr Who; delete it.
Andromeda - Space Agitato_Galaxy_Space Time_Off Center - same again - not from Dr Who; it's totally redundant - delete it.
Astronautics Theme - Pt 2 - Ok, this one *is* in Tomb of the Cybermen. It appears only once in the story and is part of the "opening suite" (track 16 in my Tomb download #2) - but within that piece it's truncated and slightly speeded up. This is the original track - full-length and original speed. If you're half as anal as me, you'll want to keep this one!
Electrocution - Right, this is where it gets complex. This is a rip from Tomb 1 - it's where the crewman gets electrocuted while trying to open the doors. The main library cue is called "Synchrostings 2" (and that's included in download #1 as a separate track). However, in the actual episode, there appears to be another "sting" dubbed over the opening seconds, which is why I included it. (The overdub is s probably another Synchrosting that's been speed-shifted, but I'm not sure.)
End of Part 1 Sting - this one's a bit simpler. The track is *probably* Dramatic Brass Chords - Staccato Ending by Wolf Droyson. It also appears in The Space Museum. There's a version in the Tomb #1 download which is the raw track (ripped from the Space Museum DVD). However, when it appeared in Tomb, it had received some additional radiophonic treatment - and a rip of this appears in the Tomb #2 download as "13. End of Part 1 Sting - COMPOSITE".
Does that help..?

Yes, it does help, thanks! Now, one final question; where does the 'Aliens' track go in The Space Museum? I believe you posted this track after posting your compilation of tracks from the story and I don't have the episode available to me to simply check. Also, now that we have Eric Siday's 'Ultimate' does that mean I can replace the rip of it in The Space Museum score?

Credit where it's due - it was that nice Mr gnawingagony that posted Aliens originally (thanks!) - I then posted a slowed down version which, as it turned out, matched the TX version (it's the sound of Vicki's glass reassembling). If you'd care to refer to my original download (THE SPACE MUSEUM (

Not redundant as such, but the version of "Suspended Animation" from my Space Museum and Tomb downloads was ripped from the Space Museum DVD photo gallery - I presume this was ripped from the vinyl by Mark Ayres and it does sound a little different sonically when compared to the Dual Planet version. I couldn't say it was better or worse - just different. However, it is shorter (but there's enough to loop, should one be so inclined).
Then there's The Laboratory (track 14 of my Space Museum download) - yup, replace that with "The Laboratory 1" from the Dual Planet release.

Composers upload the cues/samples very randomly to EMP. One day you'll find that one composer has upped 300 new samples and then you'll wait for MONTHS for anything new. It sucks, but it's how it goes.

I'm wondering whether, when the Series 8 Album eventually comes out, if Murray will upload any tracks missing onto EMP. It's entirely possible. It's either that or iTunes Bonus tracks. though those have been a bit rubbish, choice wise. The Series 7 ones could have been much better than just 2 tracks from Name Of The Doctor.

Or after the X-Mas show...take it this way. When the composer put up tracks for Penny Dreadful, it was only the tracks on the album, and then the album was released. When Reitzell put up tracks for Hannibal season 2, He only put about half as much as season 1. Instead, a set of albums came out. Remember, these are representation samples, not intended to serve the fans. So possibly these are the only 7 because a series 8 album is in the pipeline? **hopeful thinking**

I'd Imagine they would be sorting the Series 8 album out right now. As they have (of course) finished recording the music for Last Christmas probably quite a while ago and Filming of Series 9 doesn't start till January so theres a gap for compiling the Series 8 Album. I'm happy that the Heaven track could be included. Here's hoping for a full version of Twelves theme too.
I don't want the album to make certain episodes suffer by only having 2 tracks for them. I'd like them all to have equal amount of tracks and the ones that SHOULD be released. Series 8 offered a lot of variety in the music.

As there's only 12 episodes in Series 8, it should be easy to give each ep a good amount of focus. 6 episodes on Disc 1 and then 6 on disc 2. Of course, this is if Last Christmas gets a standalone release or is saved for the Series 9 album... it might be put on the Series 8 Album.
I think if any episode gets a lack of focus it'll be Listen due to it mainly being music free apart from a few cues.
I've just re-watched 'The Steel Sky' (Part 1 of 'The Ark'), and I didn't realize that Tristram Cary's music was re-used for this until the credits... Now I'm wondering if the DVD has an isolated music option or if there are any other instances of scores made/composed for one story being reused for another in the sixties? (I don't mean stock or library tracks) I know of Norman Kay's music being used in An Unearthly Child and The Sensorites, and Tristram Cary's music for The Daleks being used in The Daleks Master plan, The Ark and The Power of the Daleks.

That Shada photo gallery annoys me so much because they had the chance to include JUST the music Keff composed for the actual episodes but instead only a sample was included while the opening/ending music from the bookend pieces are pretty much there in full which you could have ripped clean off the VHS (now DVD) anyways... It would've been nicer to have the music from during the episode. *shakes fist in the air*

Having watched what there is of the story earlier, the music really put me off as it seemed to try to be like Dudley Simpsons scores but failed and only succeeded in seeming comedic... This is the only score to come across like that to me... (Did Shada ever even make it to Dudley originally?) This is one of the reasons why I prefer the Big Finish webcast version, and of-course because it features my favourite Doctor, the Eighth.

I actually discussed this with Mark Ayres at one point. Apparently Dudley never even got to put together concept tracks for it, it halted too early in production, so keff had to just improvise based on his own interpretation of Dudley's style.

Just received the series 8 box set and am disappointed that Robots of Sherwood doesn't have the beheading scene included to get Murray Gold's full music composed for the fight between Robin and the Sheriff... (There's not even a deleted scenes extra!)
Edit: Also, as Chris666eden wanted to know, unfortunately, the 5.1 audio is the same, with it just being sound effects on the bottom layers... :/ (I guess series 8 will just be a series where he won't be able to get much music clean, which is a real shame as series 8 has the best music Murray Gold has composed for Doctor Who to date.)

When I find a 1080p copy of the episode I will, which probably wont be until some time tomorrow. (I also have a load of Hartnell episodes to watch on DVD as-well! :D)
I have a 720p copy and while the bottom channels have no music, the closing scenes have alternate takes on the music and the singing is isolated without the orchestra. I find that quite interesting.

No... I've never been dissatisfied. And I mean since series 4.
That said, I CANNOT WAIT to hear some of the tunes from the episode... especially the sleigh ride and last few minutes.

I think there will be a series 8 and a Last Christmas soundtrack coming up from Silva Screen.

Not quite, the Series 4 theme is considerably less lazily mixed, though i wouldn't be surprised if some of the orchestral tracks were the same

Here's hoping we don't have to wait a year for those to be released.
A 3 disc version with series 8 and Last Christmas would be nice, but I doubt it'll happen.

Here are all the library tracks from Time Meddler (bar the monks' plainsong 'cos I ain't wading through that...) November Fog hasn't been uploaded here before, I think; I've also removed a nasty dropout from Scorched Earth (present on the vinyl and my earlier download). I've had to guess at the allocation of some of the track titles, but I'm reasonably confident they're right as the PasBs appear to be unusually accurate. Several of the tracks are episode rips in high fidelity ex-Nigerian sound quality...
Ultra-Sonic Perception: Suspended Animation – Eric Siday [1]
Medieval Drama: Part 3(a) – The Telecast Orchestra (Lawrence Leonard) [1,2]
Nuvane - Light Symphonia (rip) [1]
November Fog - Lansdowne Light Orchestra (Peter Hope) [2]
Scorched Earth - Trevor Duncan [2]
Medieval Drama: Part 2(c) – Lawrence Leonard & his Orchestra [2]
Twelve Tone Links, Group C, No. 7 - Harry Dexter (rip) [2-4]
Twelve Tone Links, Group E, No. 6 - Harry Dexter (rip) [3]
Magnetic Field - Eric Siday [4]
Mood 7 - Eric Siday [4]
Meteoroids - Roberto Gerhard [4]

In all fairness, I honestly am not so anal about a variation here or there in a mix of the theme. Especially when they are so small most people don't notice them. Looking over my themes now I see that I actually do have like 3 or 4 different ones labelled as series 4. THAT is annoying.
This is why I debated not even including themes at ALL on the era collections.

Your posts were vaguely spoilery. My personal decision is that if I know I'm not going to be able to see an episode as its airing or for awhile, I simply avoid social media of any kind until I have seen the episode. I don't tend to run into the problem as much on Facebook because my friends all know that we don't all see the show at the same time so almost everyone I know tends to avoid spoilers. Those who blatantly post major spoilers like character deaths or character identities tend to no longer stay on my Facebook. When it comes to this forum I've learned that its a very varied on what constitutes a spoiler. Dream crab? not much of a spoiler. Missy's true identity (which I read here within MINUTES of the episode's UK airing) MASSIVE spoiler.
So, my advice is just to avoid this forum if you haven't seen the episode. No matter what, someone is going to say something that someone thinks is a spoiler.
(bar the monks' plainsong 'cos I ain't wading through that...)

Hiya, yup - I remember someone posted the whole album a while back but I just wasn't up to the task of tracking it down and then wading through it to find the Who-bits!
Having said that, I'm currently trying to decide if I'm bored enough to go through all the drum cues from Time Meddler... I'm not yet, but I'm gonna be awake a while...
If you've got a link to the "Choir der Monche der Benediktiner" tracks though, do please stick it up here! :) I can't remember who posted it originally...

Right - here in Funky Towers we only listen to library music (as you will have noticed) and, as I've finished dancing to the Choir der Monche der Benediktiner, I've now become obsessed with this:
Busy Morning - Roger Roger (
http://www.mediafire.com/listen/43kdl1cke37t6t8/Busy_Morning_-_Roger_Roger.mp3)
It's by Roger Roger (real name) - whose music was used in Space Museum, almost in Tenth Planet, and most definitely in Inferno (although under the name Cecil Leuter).
I absolutely love this track. Does anyone know where I've heard it before...?

Don't blame me, blame Sendspace!
Actually, I forgot one track. The very first used when the Monk goes inside his blasted Monastery and switches on his sodding gramophone.
Regarding your Roger Roger piece, I'm assuming on no evidence whatsoever he did some of the tracks used in Tenth Planet as it has that similar ring to it. No doubt I shall watch some ancient sixties programme and that piece will appear and i shall think 'Ah yes.'

I hate to be a bother, but regarding the Big Finish music recently posted, the horror of Glam Rock Suite appears to be about 0.23 seconds of distortion and then silence, any way this could be fixed or updated?

And to compliment your lovely post of the music from "The Time Meddler" (a story I ALMOST did a suite for but didn't have ENOUGH of the music, if you get what I mean...) Here's a cover for everyone to use in iTunes...
(And excellent job ripping those couple of tracks we still haven't found the actual "album" versions of, Funky!)
Now to sort more of my library music and get full soundtracks compiled. Has anyone got really clean sounding versions of the Les Structures sonores used in "Web Planet" and "Galaxy 4". Mine all have vinyl scratches and pops. The full tracks would be fine as I prefer to have the tracks as they were recorded not edited down to whatever 12 seconds was used in the actual story. ;)
