I did hear rumours that some Dudley Simpson DW concerts were happening this year. Was WhoNews (https://soundcloud.com/drmatt1974) deceiving me?

Mark Ayres says the following on Facebook: 'It was a misunderstanding somewhere. It was said that there were to be "concerts" featuring his music. And there were: the two Doctor Who proms...'

On a related note, the Radiophonic Workshop now has its own Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/theradiophonicworkshop) page and official website (http://www.theradiophonicworkshop.co.uk/Do_come_in.html). There's also been a fan (https://www.facebook.com/groups/9087070489/) page for a while.

Fans of the Delia theme should also find this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-YNjYF5V1o) enjoyable.

Im quite disappointed with the 2 iTunes bonus tracks

Glasgow is alright, good little tune even if it is only 58 seconds long.

Whisper men Is only the music from after the opening titles where Vastra visits Clarence DeMarco and tells her about the Doctor's secret, and listening to the music from that part of the special, its not anything spectacular.

So I can sort of see why they opted out of the Bonus tracks for Series 6. These ones don't really make it worth the price of 11.99 when amazon have it for 9.97 with all 74 tracks barring the 2 bonus.

Just been listening to that "Black Light" album by Dominic Glynn... It has a lot of distortion and such on it, does anyone have a cleaner copy, or is up to the task of remastering it a bit?

There's nothing understated about 'Emotions Get The Better Of Him' or 'Impossible Choice'. Why were they bonus tracks? Impossible Choice was used for the first half of series 5 for crying out loud!

Those 2 were tracks, at the time of Series 5 ending, people wanted to be included on the Series 5 soundtrack. and there what the Series 7 bonus tracks should have been.

Also if there were bonus tracks for Series 6 one of them should definitely have been the Utah Chase music when Amy is chased by Canton through Utah. Can't believe they never released that music.

Your probably talking about where the music sort of drops in pitch to sound out of sync, and then goes back to normal. Its meant to be like that. I listened to the episode version and its present in that too. Theres no fault with the track.

I'm loving the sound of the new variation of Remember Me. Love the way it builds up and then goes into a heroic sounding version of the series trailer music.

I Can't believe they have included every fan favorite track onto the CD's. They always miss stuff out that really should have been released.

I am just sad that since the one theme I wanted had 3 versions, and the one they release is the shortest one from Dinosaurs on a Spaceship (the Pteradactyls bit) and not the version from The Snowmen/Hide

Plus there is that often used action piece from Akhaten/Center of the Tardis. Though I suppose thats because it was first used in the series 6 christmas special

The Pteradactyls version is infact a full version. The Snowmen/Hide version doesnt include half of the track. it is essentially on a loop with percussion and other added extra's in the dub. The Power Of Three also used the full version but with a guitar and drums. What we have is the full orchestral version.

Also I suppose you mean the music when The Vigil attack the doctor etc. That music is from The Doctor, The Widow & The Wardrobe and probably wont get a release, and that strikes me as odd.

Its probably the most reused track and alot of music from The 2011 xmas special was reused in Series 7 Part 1 & 2.

I remember murray gold said on twitter that If a track is played in the series more than twice then it will be included on the CD from that series, sooo . . . erm yeah . . . where is it??? :S

oh I found out Murray lied about that ever since he didnt give us the FBI chase music from Day of the Moon, which was reused in The Rebel Flesh

I didnt realize the Snowmen version just used loops though
even so I'd have preferred the Power of Three version over the Dinosaur one, but at least its something

The thing with Murray is that he always prefers an orchestral version being released. Thats why the Series 1 & 2 Soundtrack is mostly orchestral sounding music.

But thats changed over the course of releases. The Power Of Three one would have had much more punch to it, but im glad we are getting it in some form anyway. Its a good theme. I'm sad that the I Am The Doctor variation from Dinosaurs & Power isnt included (When soloman gets blown up by the missiles) and the music when The Doctor rounds up his gang to go to the silurian ark.

The Power Of Three had some very interesting spins on his music which i would have loved to have seen released, but i guess 3 short tracks reflects murrays thoughts on that episode.

When you think about it, we have had a release of EVERY Theme tune arrangement by Murray Gold, So why would they stop that now? Because its the 50th Anniversary. All I Can think is that this 50th anniversary Album they have planned will have the theme tune for each era and a selection of music from that era. So for Matt's era I think we will get the new 2013 theme and new music not released on the series albums.

When listening to the 'Silver Nemesis' soundtrack last night I noticed a small fault with the front cover image (a band of white at the bottom of the grey panel) and whilst fixing that, decided to offer another cover (not-so-comedy as the 'Cyber-Dance' version) and completely redo the disc images (which were still in the old style.) And given that no posts of this soundtrack have ever had correct or complete CD art, here it is (full album / CD art only downloads available).

I've just been listening to it on headphones -- I was listening on my TV speakers last night -- and I can hear what you're talking about now. The spot I'm thinking of is at 1:27 of the 1:31 preview clip. It sounds like the music... stumbles. It does do it in the episode too, but it's sort of hidden under dialog. Out of context from the episode it's a tiny little bit jarring.

That music is from The Doctor, The Widow & The Wardrobe and probably wont get a release, and that strikes me as odd.

At the beginning of the year, Silva Screen made it pretty clear on their mailing list that they'll be releasing a number of CDs this year, spanning the entire show. I wouldn't be surprised to see The Doctor, The Widow & the Wardrobe/The Snowmen getting some kind of release by Christmas time this year.

Well add silva screen's responce of Soundtrack(s) to Series 7. Both The Doctor, The Widow & The Wardrobe & The Snowmen were included on the complete Series 7 Boxset. So they are both classified as Part of Series 7. So it does seem likely we could get further soundtracks. Probably in November.

Or not. Just saying. I will just sit here on the side-line and watch. I can see a double disc X-Mas special album, combining them. Well, actuall I hope. More likely, I see a single disc release with tracks from both, ala Series 1 & 2. If n they really wanna make things right, then we need another disc for Series 1, and for Series 2. Or, maybe a 2 disc set of Unreleased cues. I'd take that over new stuff in a heartbeat. But alas, I highly doubt that''l ever happen. Honestly, I have been watching the series on Netflix, starting with the 9th. I have grown quite fond of the score for Series 1, that never has seen the light of day. It's criminal. Series 2, as well, but a lot of that was rescored with thematic material from series 1. I have a metric ton of the 11th Doctor's stuff. More is always welcome, but I still have not listened to it all yet. But earlier in the series there was wonderful stuff that deserves attention just as much as the new stuff. I just watched Doomsday last night. I was digging all the uses of Torchwood themes in it....And I watched Smith and Jones this morning. All we get from that is "Martha's Theme". There is a TON of action cues in that. A lot of early hints of All The Strange, Strange Creatures. So, yea, I'd like to see the specials and series 7 get their due, but I am still pining more for things that seem discarded by the label now... :(

Someone asked about 2 disc sets for Series 1 - 3 to Silva Screen and they replied saying "we have many releases coming later in the year" so with this talk of spanning the entire era of doctor who music. we could get albums for Series 1 - 3.

to be honest this is the most output Silva Screen have done for doctor who soundtracks. Never have they done these limited edition and special edition CD's with alternate cover art etc. So god knows what they have planned, they might surprise us and release stuff we never thought they would.

And I have a request, If you don't mind? I got the photo gallery rips of music from the 1st and 2nd doctors... Were there ANY photo galleries from the 3rd or 4th Doctors that had surviving music on them? And does the complete "Timelash" soundtrack exist in isolated form?

I changed my username on soundcloud to DrMatt1974 (to match here).

3-4th Dr DVD galleries - not that I'm aware of. Some music cues from 'Revenge of the Cybermen' that even Mark Ayres didn't have access to for the DVD release were uploaded here, thanks to recons, and included on my 'Death to the Daleks' (http://www.mediafire.com/download/xohl1x09crgtw0u/DM-072-MP3.zip) soundtrack.

No iso-score for 'Timelash' - just the track on '30 Years at the Radiophonic Workshop' and some other cues used on the DVD gallery (that had distortion problems on one channel as heard on the DVD). All these tracks were included on my 'Revelation of the Daleks' soundtrack (to be given the SE treatment later this year).

Re-ups of all the Big Finish soundtrack releases from their early days:

Music from the New Audio Adventures: Volume 1 (http://www.mediafire.com/download/21a0600njghw2jz/DM-BFM-V1.zip) (Phantasmagoria, The Fearmonger, The Marian Conspiracy, The Spectre of Lanyon Moor)
Music from the New Audio Adventures: Volume 2 (http://www.mediafire.com/download/d4363x8y7yh8xl3/DM-BFM-V2.zip)* (Last of the Titans, The Shadow of the Scourge, The Fires of Pompeii)
Music from the New Audio Adventures: Volume 3 (http://www.mediafire.com/download/qkvg72a325nufbd/DM-BFM-V3.zip) (Red Dawn, Winter for the Adept, The Holy Terror)
Music from the Excelis Audio Adventures (http://www.mediafire.com/download/2utwvtsah87s0ko/DM-BFM-EX.zip)* (Excelis Dawns/Rising/Decays, Bernice Summerfield and the Plague Herds of Excelis)
Music from the 5th Doctor Audio Adventures (http://www.mediafire.com/download/da88hihe6elr4wg/DM-BFM-D5.zip) (Loups-Garoux, The Eye of the Scorpian, Primeval)
Music from the 6th Doctor Audio Adventures (http://www.mediafire.com/download/ug1n4jua7pcemil/DM-BFM-D6.zip) (Bloodtide, Project: Twilight, The One Doctor)
Music from the 7th Doctor Audio Adventures (http://www.mediafire.com/download/2h684ww91xph9tk/DM-BFM-D7.zip) (Dust Breeding, The Rapture, Bang-Bang-A-Boom!)
Music from the 8th Doctor Audio Adventures CD1 (http://www.mediafire.com/download/sy09hhamg40j5mh/DM-BFM-D8-A.zip) (Storm Warning, Sword of Orion)
Music from the 8th Doctor Audio Adventures CD2 (http://www.mediafire.com/download/rf1q586d2t5au51/DM-BFM-D8-B.zip) (The Stones of Venice, Minuet in Hell)

All 320 MP3 rips with full CD art scans. All titles (*bar 2) have the BF trailers included for each story. 'Excelis' has one intro track - a compilation of excerpts from all the stories, but this track has what sound like the clicks of a bad rip. It is not a bad rip. It is a BF mastering error - all the CDs were pressed this way (well, at least the 10+ I have tried were, so I assume it's the whole lot!)

I think so - although the 2009 Music from Excelis may not have included the bonus track I added to this upload (that was 'hidden' on one Excelis Dawns discs). I'm re-preparing all the albums for the Doctor Who: 50th Anniversary Music Collection [ (http://www.mediafire.com/download/ej4t35tsal45098/EASTER_EGG_Scream_of_the_Shalka_Preview_Soundtrack .zip)MegaPack] (http://www.mediafire.com/download/ej4t35tsal45098/EASTER_EGG_Scream_of_the_Shalka_Preview_Soundtrack .zip) to be posted on 23rd November, where I'm hoping to include EVERYTHING (or as much as is possible) from the world of Doctor Who Soundtracks (and related material).

I've got a question- I just read that Dudley Simpson wrote music for Shada, and yet, when it was eventually released, Shada was scored by Keff McCulloch! Was this a matter of the music never being recorded, or of Keff recording Dudley Simpson's score, or of the team just wanting to use different music? And for that matter, is the episode available without Keff's score?

Also paddy kingsland did the music to the series 2 of the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy radio series (and also the tv series i think). Does anyone know if these were ever released?

As I have mentioned more than several times in this thread over the past few weeks... I'm currently remastering the 'Logopolis' score from scratch for my next SE release (within a week I hope) so no re-upload by me - and a request that no-one else re-up it either or it'll just confuse matters.

And no, there was never an official release of any of Paddy Kingsland's music for H2G2.

Just to clarify - the plan is to remaster all early single disc releases (and some double discs where errors have been spotted) between now and Nov 23rd for a big batch post. But as each release is remastered, they will be posted here as soon as they are complete. I'm currently working on 'Logopolis', 'Revelation of the Daleks' will be next. Unfortunately, health issues are slowing down my progress somewhat - I had hoped to get 'Logopolis' done by now. I'll get there in the end lol!

I'm currently trying to re-up everything (that is in it's final state) to MediaFire - but MF is quite temperamental, with some albums needing 3+ attempts before success. If anyone has any requests as to what gets upload priority, feel free to say, and I'll do my best.

You're kind of right - admittedly I'd forgotten that the blu ray had title sequence tests on it - but they are different to what was on the DVD. But I don't have a blu ray drive on my PC (v antique machine with only 1GB RAM - another reason these soundtrack remasters take so long!) so I can't rip it anyway, sorry.

The only differences I noticed were dubbed on Cyber steps and sonic sounds, and the omission of: all non-MG material (except the Classic Who section), 'Vale Decem' and 'Song for 50'. I was really looking forward to seeing 'Vale Decem' and seeing who people were cheering as they appeared on screen. Definitely not the 'complete Doctor Who Prom' promised by the beeb. I didn't record it (apart from on TiVo), so can't help with an upload, sorry.

I was really looking forward to seeing 'Vale Decem' and seeing who people were cheering as they appeared on screen.

The video for Vale Decem started with a shot each of the first ten Doctors so that's what we were cheering. What you don't get from the audio is that the Doctors were shown in REVERSE ORDER, so that extra bit of enthusiasm from the crowd [to my ears anyway] was for Docs 10, 9, 8, 4 and 1. The rest of the video was a cross cut montage of all the regeneration scenes. The "extra" cheer after the first ten was for Lis Sladen in Pertwee's regen scene. Then right near the end of the piece shots of Matt Smith appeared for the first time so the cheering started for him and then continued as the music ended.

Would have been nice to see that sequence but I guess the timeslot meant something had to give. Dropping Song For 50 was absolutely the right choice though, I really couldn't see how that was going to work well as Bank Holiday afternoon entertainment!

I'm glad there has been confirmation that some music WAS different on the Sunday, as I said earlier it sure sounded better than the radio broadcast. That extra Saturday night rehearsal must have helped! :) Most of the footage in the TV broadcast appears to be from the Saturday show, but not all of it as I saw my friend in the audience and she was only there on Sunday.

They actually cut Vale Decem and Song for 50 from the broadcast? Weird!

I know - that's what I thought. I did think the theme sounded better than the live radio broadcast - I just thought it was a case of a better sound balance mixing, not a different performance. I was hoping they would do this for 'I am the Doctor' because I'm sure the oboe (or similar instrument) plays a bum first note.

I'll try and sort a 'Doctor Who Theme' alternative/replacement track somehow (cursing the TV Prom sound effects dub artist - for Ben Foster's sonic sound effect right in the middle of it...) - and get some CD art done for it now all the publicity shots are out there. Does anyone have any thoughts on cover design style for this one?

Finances have finally allowed me to order the 'Vintage Beeb' re-issue of 'BBC Sci-fi Sound Effects' so I can finish 'Logopolis'. I wanted to re-source the sound effects from what I assume is a better remaster than the original 'Essential Sci-fi Sound Effects Vol 2' 90s CD re-issue, Vol 1 being 'Out of this World' that did get a recent vinyl reissue, but no CD as yet. Hope we get one - will bring back happy memories of a five-year-old me playing the vinyl at my grandparent's house (they had the best hi-fi in the family). It was the first 'album' I ever bought - I started young lol!

Just out of curiosity, did the photo gallery for "the Ice Warriors" dvd have music on? or has no one got it yet?

EXTRACT

Martian Micrograph No 37981, from the Department of Universe-Scan, Encoding, Listening, Evaluating and Speculating Service (U.S.E.L.E.S.S.)

It has long been suspected that some life, however primitive, exists outside the Martian transolar axis.

U.S.E.L.E.S.S. recordings stockpiled over the millenia contain much unintelligible material, and only recently has a major breakthrough enabled us to now believe that it is a primitive attempt at communications by the inhabitants of the lesser planets. They are elector-magnetic amanations primarily based upon what our ancestors once knew as 'speak'. The main clue to this realisation (since 'speak' has been extinct on Mars since the Great Deafness) came when U.S.E.L.E.S.S. monitors deciphered true interplanetary propulsion sounds amongst radio and videocasts originating from the third gravitational cluster from the episcentre of the Great Light.

Whilst some of the sounds (only detectable through the seventh sub-cranial paragrismatic dioclode) clearly show little experience of sophisticated galactic travel as we know it, comparison with contemporary dioclodic spasms reveals that many of the alien aural configurations bear an uncanny resemblance to actualisms.

This sample of recordings, now unclassified by U.S.E.L.E.S.S. (see Government Health guarantee footnote and Vinyl Disobedience Clause) will provide an insight into the promordinary past, explaining the now regular 'under-fly' of our planet every 26 zgjiskols by sight-seeing spaceships.

Particularly recompreferred for scientific brainfarming are the excerpts entitled 'Space Hurricane' and 'Spacecraft Crashes into Sea', the latter phenomenon a totally incompreguessable experience to us although computer-assisted analysis suggests a definite, although tentative, connection with the blue-coloured (seen as grurple to our eyes) areas on the planet's surface.

Other aural sequences are more conjectural, as we Martians know that the 'End of the Universe' is not either a finite dislocation nor a physical posilution due to the mentalpathetical gravity which binds us all together, however loosely.

The military applicants of some of the transportation methods and offensive armaments featured (Penargilon Kangaroo Relocation Drive, Dodecahedron Beam, Plasma Discarge Weapon [NOTE: Common to two sources)) are already being calcafracted by U.S.E.L.E.S.S. excerpts. Futile defense policies may need to be developed, should time-travel (see TARDIS Time Ship) become a reality, as any enemy of Mars could steal our awesome weapons (now under secret construction) and defeat us before we had time to invent them. Similarly, a journey 'Through the Centre of a Black Hole' could, however theoretically, micro-disenlarge enemies below the visible detection threshold, with unforeseen and undetectable conseclusions. Our Secret Service (if we could be sure of its existings) are already working on the consumption that 'Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy', 'Dr Who', 'Blake's 7' and 'EarthSearch' may be inadvertent transmissions of the real truth behind the third planet - 42.

Government Warning: Whilst covered by Health Guarantee (U.S.E.L.E.S.S. patent pending) that stimulation of said seventh sub-cranial paragrismatic dioclode by these recordings will not result in unMartian thinks, due to the length of sequences being censored, any attempt to elongate pleasures by subdued listening will result upon convection under Martian Law too compulsating exile in labour camps for service in reconstructing the Martian defense masterpart, our glorious, invasion-desisting Cannals.

They were hidden for a reason, but a little too well hidden for some it seems, hence the big bold post about Easter eggs giving people a reminder and a clue on where to look for them in future. But doing that (and it being quoted), people openly asking for them and open discussion about them may jeopardise their availability.

EDIT: And unfortunately it has :( All commercially available uploads have had to be deleted (including BF & MG) and I will not be uploading any more, just my creative efforts from the DVD iso-scores.

I've already got 1-5, as the area i live in took part in the pilot/trial run.

The Figures are nice, but Davros is the new version an looks ike a grinning idiot, & Matt Smith's Dr is in the short jacket an not his new version.

Future reeases on the web site show all Modern day Dr Who characters, as in Sontaran, Ice Warrior. Will they do some decent classic releases. Will we get all versions of the cybermen, Daleks. What version of the Master will we get. Is there going to be a TARDIS or Bessie, Will there be any companions.

This series is set to run for 70 issues. But i bet like marvel figures & DC figure collection, there may be a few expansions, and i'm sure there will be a few people upset when a certain character or version of character is not used.

Not every cue from any given episode is represented on the albums, unfortuneately. The cue probably represents the crack. I would expect it to have it's own name. It's a big part of the overall season, so I would have thought they'd use it. But, if it is part of another series 5 track it may not be used again. You'd have to listen to all the tracks all the way through to be sure.

Sadly he hasn't used twitter since 25th August 2012. I think he said in an interview that he wants complete focus on his work. So I guess that means he probably doesn't use his twitter account anymore. Which is sad. But with the more work he has to do for the show, all the performances like BBC Proms & Symphonic Spectacular shows.

He Is still composing music for the 50th currently. So it must be quite a long special episode, longer than they have ever done.

tmstores (the site to which Silva Screen directs people to pre-order the Limited Edition version with the alternate cover art cards) has my order listed as "Complete" and says it was shipped... on September 9th. They've sent it from the future! :D

The site says that when the disc is dispatched, it will read as having been sent on the day of release because it's a pre-order. I e-mailed them to see if it had been sent yet and they told me that typically they ship discs the Friday prior to release. I've not gotten any kind of dispatch e-mail from them, so I hope I do come Friday. I'd like to keep an eye out for it, as I'd hate for it to sit out in a mail box in this horrifying southern heat.

Im currently compiling an unofficial Soundtrack to The Doctor, The Widow & The Wardrobe. It will include a track list and proper track titles.
I'll post when I've completed it :)

I'll also attempt to do the same for The Snowmen aswell.

I know. Series 1 - 4 could do with a special release with new content. But Series 5 onwards has been a big improvement. I Am yet to hear the Series 7 OST but I'm hearing good things about it. I look forward to hearing it.

I got the Amy's Choice version from The Eternity Clock game. It plays in the Dalek spaceship level. It should get a release. I remember Murray saying 'music for important scenes or stand out scenes will be included on the albums'. Sadly Murray has gone against that statement because sooo many stand out scenes have not had its music released.

I just hope when I eventually hear Series 7 it won't have anything missing even though there isn't any TDTWATW or TS music. I think its probably obvious now what there planning.

Also Silva Screen replied about the omission of the new theme tune. They said its out of their hands and can not, at this moment in time, state whether it will be on any future release. They do, however, have other releases's planned for the end of 2013. Me thinks 50th & Christmas Special CD's ;)

I think I know who you mean. Though the uploads will be removed come Monday.
I remember having a mini conversation with Murray on twitter about what was acceptable regarding his soundtracks and he said "The tracks being used for fan-films and animations is fine as long as there is some sort of audio overlapping (dialogue, sound effects etc)"
so when everyone worries about "Oh my video will be taken down because it has official released music", you don't need to worry.
Its youtubers who upload whole tracks that pisses Murray & Silva Screen off, And I don't blame them.

---------- Post added at 09:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:27 PM ----------

Murray did such a clever thing that i havent even realised. The music from Asylum Of The Daleks when Amy see's the Daleks as humans has a hummed version of Together or not at all. Well the humming heard in Angels Take Manhattan Is the hummed together or not at all reversed. Clever move by Murray right there.

I'm not going to lie, When I first watched Asylum, I thought they were sound effects for the Dalek eyestalk popping out of the snow lol. Also quite a bit of unused music from that opening portion. Yet one part is used in the opening of Hide.

God the wait is killing me lol.

I find the unheard section of Parliament Of The Daleks to be weaker than its performance at the BBC Proms. The Choir at the Proms brought that track to life. But the track sounds like its missing one element which is of course the Choir.

The file you are trying to download is no longer available.
This could be due to the following reasons:
The file has been removed because of a ToS/AUP violation.
Invalid URL - the link you are trying to access does not exist
The file has been deleted by the user.

I was nearly done on disc 1 & 2, cannot believe how quick they got deleted, thanks amanda anyways, here's hoping they pop up again.

Links are dead already. Yikes!

I really wish I hadn't had my discs shipped to an alternate address, I only get to check my mail out there every three or four days.

Also Silva Screen replied about the omission of the new theme tune. They said its out of their hands and can not, at this moment in time, state whether it will be on any future release.

I get the feeling this may be an issue with Warner Chappell. They've been difficult about the Doctor Who theme in the past. Maybe they're being difficult with it again?

New link in my post is added. I was asked to take it down and remove covers for a personal reason. I had already combined both discs for my own archive, so very sorry for the inconveniance.

Out of curiosity, has anyone gotten the tmstores version in the mail yet? The one that comes with the alternate cover art cards? I'm curious about those. Are they printed on a nice, heavy stock? And is the art replaceable on the packaging, or are they just decorative?

Speaking of those actually, was there any announcement that those limited edition sets sold out? I only ask because I ordered mine yesterday and I'm wondering the chances on getting a regular case or not. I would guess they're sold out, but I just want to be sure.

That particular set was exclusive to this web site (http://drwho.tmstor.es/), and it has been listed as "SOLD OUT" for at least three days. I pre-ordered mine back in mid-August.

Hi everyone.

I'm looking for the lossless versions of two Doctor Who soundtracks (official): Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol and Doctor Who: Series 6 in FLAC or Apple Lossless.
Because all of the few links are dead or lossy MP3. So if someone could (re-)upload these, it would be great.

I made a copy of this post in the request section.

Thanks in advance.

So, Disc 1 still says "Temporarily unavailable". Not sure if it's the file, the page, or my IP, or something.

Also, I never saw any links for "Christmas Carol" in FLAC, are they around here somewhere?

EDIT: Disc 1 is up, slow, but it's up :D

Yeah, getting very slow transfer from Mega right now as well. About 30 kbps. At least it isn't dying part way through. Got all of part one and about 3/4 of part two. Better part of a couple hours to do so, but at least it's working...

Hey Amanda, my CD arrived this morning so I don't need to download the Flac version anymore, but I already managed to get your copy of disc 2 - and I really, really like that you (or Matt) had scanned in the alternate album covers. All that was on Disc 2 was the regular Dalek cover and a Nightmare in Silver one, as I believe most of the covers are from Part 1. Any chance of you uploading the alternate artwork in it's own folder so I don't have to endure Mega's new lightning fast 20kpbs? :)

Amanda
09-09-2013, 09:18 AM
Aside from the standard cover, the only ones I have are:

Dinosaurs On A Spaceship
Nightmare In Silver
The Angels Take Manhatten
The Bells Of St. John
The Power of three.

I can try to get it up later. Also, I too would love the bonus tracks.

THE DOCTOR, THE WIDOW & THE WARDROBE UNOFFICIAL SOUNDTRACK

Let me know what you think. Onwards to Monday where we will all (I assume) be discussing the Series 7 Soundtrack.

Very grateful that you took the time to upload those but its a bit of a pain to download them all (mainly because JDownloader doesn't work with the links, so need click on the link and then download and then download again)

Annoys me that these two specials haven't yet seen a release. Some lovely music in both of them.

I have the tracks in their chronological order in the episode, so when adding them to iTunes, make sure to edit Disc 2 to read 39 tracks and update the numbering on every track after "To Save The Doctor" by adding 2 to it :)

Does iTunes recognise these bonus tracks as belonging to the CD album for everyone else? Mine refuses to merge them for some reason. I've changed every tag I can find to be the same (artist, album, sort artist, compilation, etc etc) but even though the bonus tracks appear in the right place in the 1 to 39 list, they split the album (which I imported from CD earlier). So there's a cover for everything up to disc 2 track 30, then it splits and another (identical) cover appears for the two extras, then another cover appears for the rest of the album.

Anyone got some tricks to make iTunes submit?

If that happens to me, I change the tags to something else, then back to what they should be. Usually works.

Thanks for the upload Amanda! Listening now, been waiting so long for this!

I reset all the tags to "X" and then back to "Doctor Who" and now iTunes will accept the truth, so thank you.

Nice to have a new Who CD, feels a long time since the last one. Surprised at the card packaging though, double jewel cases must be getting too pricey I guess!
