Many greetings from Sicily and thanks to everybody for the opportunity to listen some ost of classic japanese animation, music that gives me a lot of emotions because it also linked to personal memories (I am 42 years old).

I look for the recording of はだしのゲン (Hadashi no Gen - in english 'Barefoot Gen', in italian 'Gen di Hiroshima').
This LP (Starchild K25G 7155 - music by Kentaro Haneda) is the score of an extraordinary film that I love much, which I made the Italian translation of subtitles (the film never arrived in Italy); I show this film in the schools for its strong anti-war message.

Many thanks to JPN-26 for the help on 'Hadashi no Gen' (hoping to find in the future disc the recording taken from LP ). The DVD of the film was released in Japan, USA, UK, Germany, France (but not Italy, where I use my translation of english subtitles for the vision at school).

You are absolutely right, morrigan. That's happened to me, too. :/ I was happy to upload lossless for people at first, but I've found that many who want lossless quality have really nasty, stuck-up attitudes. Because of that, I will only upload mp3s from now on. It's too bad that decent people have to lose out as well, but it's like the old saying goes: one bad apple spoils the barrel. It only takes one idiot to make you feel like you're just wasting your time trying to help people.



Personally, I don't hate lossless itself (though I do hate ALAC; a craptastic proprietary Apple format that can only be manipulated in iTunes = FAIL *high-fives Tamahome*). It's the snobby ungrateful bastards who act as if they are owed lossless that I hate. Not talking about you, by the way (I know you're cool :)); I mean the people who throw themselves on the floor kicking and screaming like bratty toddlers when complete strangers refuse to bend over backwards to give them every damn thing that they want. YES, lossless is nice to have, but it's not always available and even when it is, nobody owes it to anyone.

There are about a dozen major requests I have:

the soundtrack to "Super Mario Bros.: The Great Mission To Rescue Princess Peach!" (quite possibly the hardest to find, and YES THIS IS AN OLD ANIME; its a theatrical anime, and the first animated incarnation of Mario.)

Yes, it is pretty rare, so I'm lucky to have somehow stumble upon it once. Anywho, this classic 1986 anime (only a year after the first SMB game was made) only had its soundtrack released on LP, to my knowledge. Which is what this rip was taken from. I hope the quality is suitable. It was recorded at 128kbps, rather than VBR, but hey, it IS an incredibly rare soundtrack to find.
