Yes it is. I never played it, but some reviews on the web. and it is GREAT.

It is, if only a little old (I think it is close to eleven years since its release), but the game had an incredible storyline, involving nearly every aspect of the "Forgotten Realms". It's also quite hard, as you can really easily get killed in the first 15 minutes. The DVD version is still available on Amazon, at least in france, and the game works pretty well on Windows 7.

THat's the end of the BG aparte. let's get back to old anime OST :) (we can continue this in private if anybody has more questions on Baldur's gate, its sequels, add ons and spin offs)

Hey guys, long time no see. :)
As expected, I got The Humanoid OST on vinyl for Christmas. :D It'll be a couple of weeks before I can get it ripped. I don't have the proper equipment at home for ripping and I don't want to risk damaging such a rare album, so I'll be sending it to a professional audio conversion service as soon as possible. Scans will come later, my scanner at home won't fit the record and the school scanner is much better anyways. I'll be going back in early February, so keep an eye out for scans around that time. :)

just a small post: here is a low quality rip of "Space Fantasy Emeraldus (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=X226L16Q)" (cq-7002).



I can't make a better copy right now, but hopefully I'll be able soon to get enough money to buy a vinyl converter...or whatever the hell that's called :D

I don't think the action taken by Anonymous will convince the DOJ to drop the matter, but it is a little consolation. Good thing I had bought a new HD a few weeks ago to save my MU account. :)

Anon isn't what concerns me, MU by itself has commited no illegal acts, by doing this the DOJ broke it's own laws.

Thanks for the tip. :) I don't normally upload in FLAC though unless it's the format I downloaded something in or when I rip records myself; and then only if specially requested by someone. I sent The Humanoid to be ripped into MP3s because that was cheaper than getting a FLAC rip. XD I was able to afford clean-up though, so hopefully no pops or clicks in the sound. :)

I need help!!!!!!! The arm in my hard drive is broken and this is where I keep all of my stuff. I want to do a platter swap but I am afraid, once you crack open those drives it's a race to beat the clock before they are destroyed by foreign objects in the air. Any suggestions? Computer repair shops are charging me to much. Everything I have ever downloaded is stored in this hard drive!! I feel like I lost my manhood. It's over. I'm screwed ... All of the stuff I ever downloaded....GONE!!There is no point of living anymore...

I am sorry to hear that Orie. Were you able to at least recover most of your data? My arm broke in my hard drive somehow and you just cant open these things as you may already know but the only way I could POSSIBLY pull files off is to buy the exact same hard drive, put my platters into the new one with the good arm, and get my files off as fast as possible. once you crack open those drives it's a race to beat the clock before they are both destroyed by foreign objects in the air.. Screws need to be torqued and you need to be in a air ventilated room too. It is too complicated man. I've never done this and I guess I have no choice but to have a pro do it. I guess it is my fault for not having an extra hard drive. I can't view my files at all I had everything in my hard drive all of my ost's.

Well. I still have some of my stuff in cds. Dvds I use more for my animes, movies, series, concerts. etc..
Bluray-... I am against that technology like you would never imagine. I am against any kind of technology with futile reasons made for. The starving people in Africa don't use bluray, unless someone tells them it is to food. We are in the age were starvation should be a myth. But we still have, sadly, people to watch out for their own buts and not for the others. This world sucks. Mankind makes me have shame of being of it.

Anyway, don't use bluray, because in data storage they are not that reliable. Stick with the DVD data storage.

I am very old-fashioned. I have my own library of VHS tapes, and my audio tapes. It is very ungrateful people throwing them away just because "UH. A CD quality. Great. Now I can trash my other stuff." How would you feel if your girls switched you for a better "quality" guy?
Hey, VHS and audio tapes were the future back there. I still found those objects more the treasures, specially in how the were created. Quality is not everything you know, but rather the existence. I have my tape of the anime movie METROPOLIS and the DVD too.
Ok, I may be a collector, but I really hate how people talk about those "Ancient" items like they are trash. They should be treasured as they were the fathers and grandfathers of CDs and DVDs. Sadly, they do not sale VHS tapes here anymore. It stopped in 2006. I always went in looking for the tapes of the movies I wanted.
I couldn't afford a DVD player also at the time. But I still see my dear VHS tapes in my tape recorder. Specially the anime I recorded from TV. :)
You see, these items have so much importance to me, because I grew with them. Almost every year I spent a month or 3 re-watching my tapes.
Some much good memories come together with those tapes of the time those cartoons were broadcasted in TV and how was my life in that time.

I am old fashioned, maybe, but these little things, that may seem dumb, are of much importance to me.

It was "Waga seishun no Arcadia - Mugen kid� SSX", know in France as "Albator 84" (to distinct it from "Uch�kaizoku Captain Harlock" the other Harlock TV show that had been aired in 78 under the title Albator). I've kept a deep love for everything harlock related. Hell. I still cry during some episodes.

Because of this I got very much interested in the Cyberpunk issue. I am a fan of cyberpunk and I love it very much. The creator of Bubblegum Crisis had some other works which I still need to get to see ALL GAll Force stuff, to say I saw everything of him.

By the way, I see this a lot, and people say the KENICHI SONODA IS the creator of bubblegum crisis and Gall force.

The creator is Tony Takezaki. Kenichi Sonoda was the character design. Tony Takezaki used is original name (since tony takezaki is the artistic name) Toshimichi Suzuki when he worked in all of his manga-anime productions.

There was a production theme that created a 3 episode ova project related to his world, called "PARASITE DOLLS". And these guy surely knew how to get to fans. It is spinoff story of a secret unit inside the ADPolice. I saw this ova and love it. I would like to see more of their projects, since they really know how to make the fans of the original production happy. The same theme was responsible for the second OVA production of "ARMITAGE III" and it was entitled "ARMITAGE DUAL-MATRIX". I am a fand of the original anime OVA.... and they just blowed me with this great production. Everything in it is great as the original.

Devilman Ovas tapes, was funny. I bought both in second handed, from video-club promotion selling. I had my hands on the second Ova. I watch it so many times, specially for the music. JOYFULL.
The First ova Tape.... I spent 3 years, more or less , always "hitching" the video-club that had that tape (it was the only in Portugal that had it) since 3 years back, the woman said "it will be on sale soon". It was on sale 3 years later. I wen every week , EVERY DAMN WEEK , in 3 YEARS, just to able to get that tape. Sadly the caver was in bad shape. "Eaten" by the sun, but the tape itself was fine. ^^

Can you imagine the good memories of getting this, when there was no internet available?
Now it is easy "Cheese" and "Cake". These new guys saying are Otaku don't really know the beauty these times.

Funny...When I started to get into japanese animation otherwise than what had been aired on TV, I started by buying a random tape at a second hand shop. february 2000. the day I buried my grandma, who hated japanese animation with a passion, while I was a kid we had big arguments about what I watched on TV.

THat tape figured a young man, with a rocket launcher, on a single wheeled bike. It was Venus Wars. I watched it once. twice. At the end of the week I had watched it close to 20 times.

I was hooked. not only on this anime. I was hooked on Japanese animation, I now knew for every anime I saw as a kid, there was a thousand to discover. I greedily bought everything that came near me...the Saint Seiya movies, Kojiro, Green legend Ran, Street Fighter 2, Lodoss, Sol Bianca, El Hazard... But I knew I was still missing things. Gall FOrce, Bubblegum Crisis, Nausicaa...

When DVDs appeared, I was able to get more stuff, and when Ghibli's movie started to get released in theaters, I was a happy animefan. I bought model kits, PVC miniatures, Gashapon miniatures...the works. I started downloading music around 2005, back then one or two tracks at a time, at a friends place. Got registered here in 2007, may, while studying for 6 month in Bavaria. and then this year my little town was finally connected to high speed internet.

And nothing could stop me anymore. Bubblegum Crisis, Crusher Joe, Gall Force, Gundam 08th MS team, All those animes I'd hope to see one day...I've been able to see them. to get them, through Torrents, but also through direct download. but all in all...I've had to wait a long time sometimes to be able to see something. but in a way I miss going to that little shop near the theater that had tons of anime stuff. most of anime/manga related shops in france closed 4-5 years ago. people buy stuff directly on Amazon, Ebay, CDjapan... In a way I miss the time getting something was a quest of epic proportion...Same as you, Orie. :D

I have the tape I recorded of all 3 ova of Gunsmith Cats. The Anime is superb. I wish I would read the mangas. Although in this day and age, I dont want another Ova of GSC. Back then... yes I wanted, now.... NO!
Riding Bean is just one OVA, where it features Rally :D. I really love it, but I am so sad that there was not even another ova. It really was so greate. :)

Exactly like me. I had cable channels that broadcasted "some" anime. In from 1999 to 2000, there was channel in my language made for cable only , in where they had a space for anime only. If I was a pervert I would say I Spermed all by myself when I saw there broadcasting ESCAFLOWNE 0.0

I have some many anime yet see of what I have downloaded. Some I re-watch, just because I really love it.
For example.... "Millenium Actress" was without a doubt the ANIME movie that marked be in my heart so much, even more then the movie tapes I got form Manga Video releases here in my country. I got that Movie in baka.bt long ago.... maybe 5 years ago. And if I thought what good anime movies are, that one made have a new vision for everything I knew about it.

The difference here is, here it REALLY WAS QUEST to find anything that might be japanese. Either live action movies or anime. I really put myself on work and gaining some money to have my delightful "Treasures". In a way, you may call me crazy, but sometimes I speak to them, about the time and year and day , and week,.... I had to get that certain item. And sometimes a lot of good memories come along with them. In way, these items are my time machines. :)

Delayed response, but regarding the topic of data backup...

I would be VERY uneasy about making a DVD my only backup. Media quality varies GREATLY. What you burn today and put in the cupboard may very well be nothing more than a coffee coaster when you pull it out in two years to restore a backup. Unless you are using Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media, do not, I repeat do NOT put even the remotest bit of trust in them. For your own sanity. They might be fine. They probably won't. And little plastic discs are trouble. True story: I had backups on CD which I was trying to restore following a hard disc failure. Disc 1 restored. Disc 2 in hand waiting to go in CD-ROM drive. Disc falls out of hand. Try to catch it. Fail to catch it; disc falls on floor. Lean over to pick up disc. Chair slides across floor, straight over CD which shatters into twenty pieces. BE CAREFUL.

Recordable Blu-ray should theoretically be better, but it's untested and EXPENSIVE per GB.

Back up on an additional HDD. If it's mega-important stuff, store the HDD somewhere else; give it to some relative for safe keeping so if your house burns down (God forbid) your data is safe. Being switched ON is what makes hard discs wear out. Sitting in the cupboard doing nothing - provided they're protected from extreme temperatures and aren't knocked - will 99.9999999999% be absolutely fine.

And definitely don't backup to the cloud - because if America decide they don't like the company which stores your backup (even if you haven't done a single thing wrong) you are well and truly bollocksed.

I think I'm safe. I've got a HDD with a copy of my file safely stored in a drawer, in a nice HDD carrying case. then I've got a copy of the files on DVD. and then I've got a copy of said files on another HDD which I use more or less constantly. but it's a nice, sturdy little one. :D

Of course this is Quantum Physics speaking, but on the other hand, I know lot of people who hold a grudge on TDK and they NEVER had good results coming for their "trying" to record in TDK stuff. Grudge is negative energy, therefore you are more then F***T UP in that matter. XD

nope. I'm all burned out moneywise. Off my three HDDs, one was a gift, and the other two were bought in a shop known in France for its low costs but good stuff. As for the DVDs...not everything is burned. I'm 25 DVDs short, for the anime OST folder :p

As for brand, Verbatim never failed me whether for HDD or DVDs. same for Iomega. got a Iomega HDD that I bought 5 years ago, which works more or less daily, and...is STILL functionning. but I'm slowly transferring things out of it because it's beginning to worry me. It makes...noises.

It maybe some kind of vibration sound in the package. My brother has one iomega of 1terabyte. Ithink it started to make noises too, but we figured it out it was the place where it was making noises.

But it was released the 13 movies of Z specific tracks in complete soundtrack collection (liars. complete my ass.). You have only like one track of 10 minutes or less with some tunes from those movies. I can upload the specific tracks if you want.

Brolly Ovas I am uploading now for you. But they are all in MP3.
I can only offer Flac is for the first Ova of Brolly, since I own that soundtrack. :)

I am hearing the soundtrack and it is incredibly easy to see who are the composers in which tracks. Although I got information already form the back cover I just tracked down. The style of music is so easy to see the difference. But this is me, because I know those style of composition. :)

Actually, Peter Erskine is the composer. The ending theme of the anime is available from Amazon as an mp3 download. (the cats, by Peter Erskine). It's the only track available. I could try a DVD rip, but I fear the audio stream is in 2.0, which would considerably hinder any attempt.

It's not too bad. there are some echoes of voices in the background, but it came out better than i thought it would. had to drop a track though. with all the gunfire, it was impossible to clean. Uploadin' starts in a few minutes. ;)

You could leaved even if there was gunfire. I think that is one of the tracks I like the most in the first episode. That Sequence scene is great.

Problem is that the gunfire litteraly cover the music. all in all, I guess I'm missing 1 mn of music from the ep. I'm uploading the thing in flac, so if people want to fiddle with it, to try to remove more parasite audio, they'll can :D.

I have been making a custom soundtrack collection from my DEAD OR ALIVE Dimensions game. There are new tracks, but the ones that only appear in the story mode there was not way to take out the voices and sfx. All and all, I do like how it turned out.
I have been even doing a booklet for it. I must be honest , I thought there were some hardcore fans of the game in the forum. As it seems, I am the only one here that cares enough of bothering to have the work on it.
Like Sonic Ova. I more then happy to have rip of soundtrack even with voices and sound effects.

I started a project of Sukeban Deka, on collecting unreleased tracks that were not in the soundtracks. I had help on ripping the audio form the Avi files.
But since some tunes were repeated several times I could manage to edit them and make a full new track without voices or sfx. Just taking a bit of here, a bit of that, a bit there, and Here you have. I stopped my project on that, because I will have to rip more from the second series of Sukeban Deka. There are some new tracks. Imagine trying to work my head to fetch down Bach compositions and ancient japanese band music that featured in it. I had help in that of course, I thank a lot of people for that.... but damn....it has given me more work then my actual DOA Dimensions one.
Which right now I stopped everything t track down the opera song that Helena sings.

sadly the music doesn't repeat itself much. at least not in the first ep. these rips are bound for improvement, as I am still learning how to use audacity. Heck, I've redone an old rip of mine recently (Heartbreak Ridge by Lennie Niehaus, I may even upload it on the Film score forum...)...

I nearly made him eat those doujins. and I never came back to that shop.

I am working for some new uploads. I hope for it today. :)

Are is a new batch of Dragon Ball Soundtracks. :)
First we have "dynamixx" original shares of the complete soundtracks of the movies. Right now we only have (for now) movie 5 to 9.
I have Ongakushuu vol2 (which is brolly movie 1 soundtrack) and I never notice there was music missing. I have the tape of that movie... there were still some good amount of missing tracks. :/

Next we have the Hit Collections from 4 to 8.
Personally, while organizing the files I got sick of "CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA" and "Detekoi Tobikiri ZENKAI Power!".
I understand the concept of these tracks being there in every Hit Collection, but damn, besides those songs are not that much impressive as a lot of people I know and say it is the best song ever, I disagree. "We Gotta Power" is so much better.

Hit Collection 4, is one of my favorite, if not because the REAL Image character songs, Kaioh Sama image song I so FU*** annoying and irritating. It gets on my nerves. :s
"SOLID STATE SCOUTER" (the famous Bardock Theme :) ) and "Fuke yo Kaze Yobe yo SHEN LONG!!" (Shen Long Theme :D) are the KICK ASS in this album.
Hit Collection 5 ~Hikari no Tabi~, is more like the soundtrack, or works a bit in that direction for the first TV SPECIAL, the one about Bardock.
Here we have Kenji Yamamoto firs project called MONOLITH. (Note that it is THIS Kenji Yamamoto (http://vgmdb.net/artist/1706), and not the composer of Nintendo Games.) The Image Songs were made for the characters of that same TV SPECIAL.
Hit Collection 6 BATTLE POINT UNLIMITED. Yes, BATTLE POINT UNLIMITED, as in BATTLE POINT UNLIMITED the music of TRUNKS VERSUS FREEZER. This is all in all a great CD of Vocal songs. It contains the cool ending theme of movie 4. :p
Hit Collection 7, a kind of Image Album of the 7 Cristal Balls. The Kenji Yamamoto project (MONOLITH) tracks, are boring, and not really something to expect as Image track of each Ball. I give more points to this CD because of the vocal songs, instead of MONOLITH tracks. :/ The last track of MONOLITH is not that bad though. You should be wanting to give a listen to "Kaze no You ni Hoshi no You ni". A very slow and relaxing track, as it is beautiful too. :) This track and "Tobikkiri no Saikyo tai Saikyo" are my ALL favorite in this CD. :D
Hit Collection 8, the second character image songs CD. This IS my favorite CD. I give him ☆☆☆☆☆. These tracks work both as vocal singing and speech. Very funny and to laugh about if you understand it. :D In "VEGETA sama no Oryouri Jigoku!! ~''Okonomiyaki'' no Kan~" Vegeta is teaching you to be evil. :p Bulma song is so great Gohan & Chi Chi song. Again we have a the "Part2" of Kaioh Sama song, that again.... get's on my nerves. :s. There is also an Image Sound Track performer by heavy duty. I think I have heard it before in the series itself. :/

It's more or less the fate of most mega threads. relatively speaking, people contributiong to the film score hunt thread aren't much more: Amanda, Benuit, FunnyML, BishtyBoshty, WildwoodPark and a handful of others. I'd say there are maybe 12-14 regular contributors, for a much bigger thread. to be honest, filesharing generally took a bad blow with MU going down. many people are afraid to upload, and so only a handful kept the things alive. The sad part is that people only come to DL, they don't comment, they don't say thanks...that's what bother me the most. Can't be helped I suppose.

These are one of my favorite CDs. The medley songs and remixes on Hit Collection 8 half are very cool. "Bad Boy" was always a song I liked so much and thought of being one so addictive. The remix does the same :D
Hit collection 9 is referent to time in the series of the Android Saga before Cell's Appearance.
The image songs in this albums are maybe the best I have heard. Must say this CD has my MOST Favorite DBZ Vocal songs, ever.
Vegeta's Image Song "SUPER+POWER=MELODY ...Chou-Ryoku Fushi..." and the Androids's Vocal one "WARNING OF DANGER ...Keikoku..." are the Highlights in here. But all in all, the songs are Pretty Much Beautiful

@ kid 1412 I totally understand these feelings of gratitude.

@ Docrate1 my friend, perhaps it is a reality that among the weirdest things also is to have people with such a passion for anime-music in the middle east. Ask me :/
Simply, someone who is lost in the desert, in our case the middle east not to generalized 85% of the middle east, is just concerned about surviving the toughness of the desert. Overall, even Alice will find the middle-east as a total new wonder land.

I'll re-upload some of the things I downloaded here in the next few days :)

I took some hours to wave in this thread from the beginning... and Damn.
This thread, since 2009 was like hyper crowded with incredibly Heart Sharing people. It really was such good year with so much to talk and share.

And it is reduced to some 5 users now (more or less), that seem to care more about this. :(
A bit sad now.

I do have alot of anime soundtracks, but the reason i generally don't upload them is that i'm not the original ripper, in fact most of my anime soundtracks came from this forum, and while i have no problems if others upload my rips (i'm sure a few people have), i do not want to take credit for others work personally.

As for docrate1's not posting much statement, well honestly, i'm just not very talkative, i give my thanks if i dl something but, otherwise i have little to say.
