I never saw the anime with this soundtrack sadly.

I did and it's not so bad... although rather different from SRaTSS... even without sub I could clearly get that the plot was changed quite a bit... however I'm a fan of old robot series and I've to admit it had weakness that likely didn't allow it to become popular as other series did...


It is more my thing of being fan of Osamu Totsuka that made me want the original soundtrack of Bismarck. It only came to my country in dub version with the dubbed soundtrack, wich I do also like and it actually mark my youth, you dont imagine how.

I'm a Bismark/Saber Rider obsessed fan so I understand you. When I saw it I didn't have a video recorder yet so I recordered it on tapes and heard them so often I've even learnt part of it by memory.


A lot of old anime in my little kid times marked me in so many ways. Believe me , back in 2005, when I manage to get the dubbed soundtrack of Bismarck, I was sheeding tears like a waterfall of so much joy and so much memories the soundtrack was making me to recall. Such good times. ^_^

It was stupid though. They released 2 cds for the soundtrack of Saber Rider, and they added the original Japanese soundtrack mixed in the cds as bonus... but they just had some tracks. We have some tracks released in cd, why did they not release it all the japanese tracks? At first I thought those original japanese tracks put as bonus on the cds, actually appeared in Saber Rider, but recently, I have re-watched the anime, and, those tracks were not there. So will keep saying that it is stupid, why release half and not all?

Maybe they didn't have all the rights or something. It's also possible the masters of the original records got lost (it happened to Lupin III) and only some tracks were saved, which would explain why Bismark records were never turned into cd. I think they didn't really want to share it but did it due to the fans great interest. What's worse is that some Japanese tracks are incomplete.


I dont care anymore. People like JJ and lasterror, at least make dreams of others to became true. ^_^

Vol.2, does sound a bit noisy :/ It looks like to be record with a microfone from the computer. I kow what I am saying. I did that once. Result was astonishing..... horrible. XDXDXD

I fear that was how it was done but at the time it was impossible to get anything better. I'm really waiting anxiously for lasterror's better version.
Bismark gadgets are HARD to find...


Bismarck was a series that I enjoyed so much. Even more then Grendizer. I wished a new series would have been done at the time. I felt like I wanted more then that. :D

Well, as of now they're making a videogame out of it... maybe they'll decide to make a sequel as well, though I hope it won't be in computer animation... I would hate it if it were to look like the videogame... -_-

Between Bismark BGM 1 and 2, there is still a fair amount of Bismark music missing that was just never released. Including, Perioss' theme, most of the music used in episode 41, the "Death Race" theme from episode 22, and others. The "title card" track on BGM 2 is actually a lot longer than the short version they put on the album. There's probably enough leftover music for a BGM 3. Too bad there was no BGM 3. :(

Maybe an off-topic question, but I have to ask: does any " classical " or own-arranged music that is that is not anime soundtracks by Yokoyama Seiji and Kentaro Haneda exist on any media format? I'm looking for vinyls and cassettes, I like the old formats, however if there's a good CD, I might be interested in that aswell. It can be good as the soundtracks, but I want to listen more to the composers and their other works. If someone has any tips, write here or PM, if you have something to share then please PM me.

I think that BGM from the anime Tsurikichi Sanpei have never been published. The only published music are the OP/ED songs by MoJo and one EP contains 2 image songs of the manga. :(

Between Bismark BGM 1 and 2, there is still a fair amount of Bismark music missing that was just never released. Including, Perioss' theme, most of the music used in episode 41, the "Death Race" theme from episode 22, and others. The "title card" track on BGM 2 is actually a lot longer than the short version they put on the album. There's probably enough leftover music for a BGM 3. Too bad there was no BGM 3. :(

Buff, some of them never were so rare that never got uploaded into the net, at least i know two of them pretty sure are here if you do a basic search you could easily find them: Dai No Daibouken and Cities Of Gold were posted here i think... Dai No Daibouken (DQ) the TV OST + 3 Movies + Abel Yuusha OST were in FFShrine and Cities were here too.

I'll also add that Jungle book shonen mowgli doesn't have an OST. Dai no Daiboken was uploaded multiple time in this thread. some links may still be active. Same for Cities of Gold, which are easy enough to find.

When you guys are scanning LP fronts and so forth, what kind of a scanner do you use? Many have asked me to do scans of rare Lp covers through the years that I have but I only have a "usual" scanner. Can someone PM me about good and not over expensive alternative scanner that can scan an entire Lp? Would be great.

A friend mine only has A4 scanner. So he scans, by bits. After the scans all he need, let say, of the front cover. He works on a image editing software to combine all the scans into one picture.

Yeah it did. It took forever but at least it uploaded the whole archive without me having to split it. :) And I forgot to answer your question about how much better the Japanese CD sounds. It just has a clearer sound. Also I found that the Japanese Vol.1 CD is much more rare to find than the Japanese Vol.2 CD. I looked on Yahoo auctions and Amazon.co.jp and there's some Vol.2 CDs for sale and auction but absolutely no Vol.1 CDs. I'm very lucky to have the original Japanese CD of Vol.1.

Okay, I've figured out what the issue was. RapidShare changed the default folder permissions for all accounts in January; since I wasn't using folders I couldn't alter these settings. Oops. I had to reload the Odin OST's 1 & 2 at one point and I accidentally capitalized their passwords. They have been re-re-uploaded and all the passwords are consistent again. Sorry again but the second re-uploading created new links for these as well.
