There's a soundtrack made by a french company. The quality is poor plus all the fx are in.
I saw a vinyl on eBay a long time ago but the guy was selling it 200 bucks (sucker).
If someone have it and share it, that person will earn a free slave for the rest of his/her life (not me of course).

I stand corrected.
There was apparently a different soundtrack for the Japanese release only by Wakakusa Kei. (The rest of the world got the previous one.) An album of this was released by King Records in 1988.

That album seems to be unavailable.

jonc_dragoncor, I know about the logarythm soundtrack. I bought it the day it was released.
It was not edited from a LP but from the I don't know how it's called in english.
When you buy the rights from an anime you have the movies and the musics and the fx separated from the voices to allow the translation. In french we call it la bande son, but I'm sure you don't give a damn.
So the logarythme edition was based on this stuff. That's why you can hear fx like Nono's footsteps or laser shots.
Plus the quality is garbage.
The vinyl I'm talking about is more than rare, it's Petarare, you hear me.
I saw it only once in my whole life (I'm talking like an elder right now).
But I know it exists, that SOB was selling it 200 bucks.

Actually, the sound is mixed into three tracks (called stems); voice, music and sound effects. The voice is seperate for foreign dubbing, and the music in case there are rights issues later. Ulysse 31 has 1 music track for Japan, and another one for everybody else. Gundam had some of it's songs removed for the English release. When Yamato was converted to Starblazers some of the music was also changed. When Gatchaman had it's second release in the US it's entire soundtrack was replaced with a drum machine. For Laputa, Joe Hisaishi wrote and conducted a new version of his own score for the Disney release.

However, for official soundtrack releases, even this is not enough, since the mixing process includes changing the levels (up for action, down for dialogue,) which are not acceptable for stand alone use. These albums either use the music from the recording sessions or new recordings either matching the original or with changes. (The albums for The Lord Of The Rings, for example, have many changes between the album and the actual music heard in the films, mainly to eliminate the little bobbles that suited the action but are awkward on their own.)

If you're hearing sound effects, it's either a DVD rip, or a deliberate artistic choice on the part of the album producer (who is usually the composer.)

And again, Ulysse 31 was a project that originated in France and was only animated in Japan. The French (more specifically D.I.C., although more likely now Saban) own the rights, and probably have any surviving sound masters (including the recording sessions,) except for the Japanese version of the soundtrack.

Loga-Rythme, when they were in business, seems to have only done anime soundtracks. (But you would know better than I,) and many of them, so they would have had to have the rights, which meant access to the proper materials.

That said, I will listen again to the album I have. I don't remember ANY sound effects, but I concentrated on the score and not the songs, and there is only about 8 and half minutes of it that I listen to regularly.

Well, that's more information about that then I've found so far. And since it shows the records number and exact name, I've found other sites that mention it. (But not a place I can download it.)

Soundtrack Collector indicates that an LP was released in the US by Radmus Publishing. I have found no further information.

Other then that, this site (http://ulysse31.saitis.net/disqmusi.htm#Index) seems to have a lot of information on different albums, but it has not been updated in awhile.

But why not use tracks from the original LP released in 1981? Because of the complex nature of recording contracts, the rights to that album probably belong to both the shows' owner (by that time Saban,) as well as the record label, and Loga-Rythme couldn't or wouldn't meet their price. Worse, Radmus might have gone belly up, (I can't find them,) leaving their rights in limbo, making a deal impossible.

As mentioned before, the true international version should also include a seperate 'music only' track, but if the masters have been lost, that could be gone as well. (Unless you're using outside licensed music, that version stays in your vault for a rainy day.)

That leaves the 1981 release to find. (And the Japanese score as well.) Hopefully it will turn up someday. But be warned, it may not be very true to the show either. It might be variations on the themes or who knows what.

Hello guysThis is what is exactly said in the Ulysse 31 french CD, released in 2001 (so it's in french... if someone wants to translate, do it)
They say that the original music master tapes were lost.
So, the only way to make a soundtrack album was using the tv tapes: the international track of the dubbing tv tapes is the "only music and sound effects" track. They have mad an hard job, editing, cutting and pasting all the music without sfx. So here the music cd, but unfortunately the audio quality is not as good as it would be if they coul have used the original master tapes.
Better than nothing (remeber Lupin ME71 cd, is the same story).

Musics in japanese version are different than in french/european version.
In french DVD's of Ulysse 31 (which i own) there is the first episode in japanese (as a bonus stuff).

I guess we should organise things a little like on "la banda de max rebo" which is a soundtrack music sharing forum, but with a little less paranoia :). A way to organise things could be either by anime, by composer or by year of publication (though that one is a little bit tricky). another problem is the access: should it be restricted to members only or free for all ? (both have big advantages and big disadvantages...)

Very hard I think to that LP record (AQ-4001) for this animation movie ジャックと豆の木 (Jack to Mame no ki). Currently this LP it's not printed in CD.

Sure, the song Uchuu no Ouja Grendizer is sung by Isao Sasaki and chorus Koorogi '73 (Masatake Ookura, Masanori Sato, etc...).. my favorite chorus group!.

You can find the same song as the opening song of Uchuu Enban Daisensou
Tatakae! Uchuu no Ouja [Isao Sasaki, Koorogi '73]... the chorus part is the same but the main vocal part sing "...Gattaiger" and not "...Grendizer"!

I think Koorogi'73 is one of the Most Famous Support Band For Anime Songs in the 70's...Their Style Remind me Somehow By The Temptations (60's) and Melvin Franklin's style (Rich Deep Voice)(bass singer) Especially When They Sing Low Tempo and High Tempo...Yes, Maximuxi I Remeber that...You Mean The Movie Version(The Ending Theme)...Instead of Grendizer "Gattaiger"...I love Grendizer More...

I'm french, so I can translate it to english (it may not be 100% accurate, since i'm not fluent in english, but I hope it will be ok) :



One word from the producer :
When we have decided to release on Compact Disc the musics from Ulysse 31, we knew that the original masters were lost and so we would not have the correct material to issue a hi-quality version.
However, the OST seems to be a "must have" for our collection. Moreover, it was expected for such a long time...

That's why we have decided to recreate those musics directly from the 26 episodes. In order to do that, we have got what we call the "International version", which is basically the soundtack used to be dubbed in foreign countries. It's the "sound only" of the episodes, without any dub. Unfortunately, if there is no dub, the sound effects are already in the music, and we cannot separate them.

We have extracted as much as we can, thanks to sophisticated cut and edit. Most of the BGM was being extracted.
We are aware that this work may not satisfy the most requiring fans. This TV series is very old, and the audio tracks (in mono) are very old too...
But it was the only way to listen to this soundtrack which has touched so many generations.
We hope that you'll take as much pleasure in listening to this Compact Disc, as us to make it.

The problem is that we haven't the other RAWs about robot anime that was made from overseas, especially some robot animation were original made by some country(like Italy).
So we hope to exchange some JP RAWs with someone's that have RAWs from overseas.(super robot only)
And then we would like to meet someone could translate the Italian and Spanish to Engkish because of we hope to make the Chinese subtitles into some RAWs from overseas.

"Hoshizora no Angel Queen" is a song called also "Angel Queen" performed by Dara Sedaka for the movie "Queen Millenia... 1000-Nen Joou". The complete version is 6:30 long.

Well, there are a few french OSt website, yet the best two are definitely OST center and Nautiljon (just try it in google). only trick on the second one is that you have to register, but it's one of the best site i've seen :iveseenthings: on the subject of Manga, Anime and asian stuff in general.:cool:

That's interesting. I recently got Dara Sedaka's "I'm Your Girl Friend" because of "Angel Queen". This version is 6:22 mins long and differs slightly from Einachi's upload. (the ending is different)

Yes, Sirusjr..."his and her circumstances" is very Fine Soundtrack For Shiro Sagisu....I like All of his Works Either Classic Works or his Newest one...But Most of his Beautiful Composition are Classic Work Especially in 1986....I can Suggest: Ai City(The Movie Produced in 1986), Megazone 23 (The OAV 1986), Attacker You! (1984),And Genum Senki Leda (The OAV 1985)...I Remeber Watching This OAV And the Soundtrack Was Very Fine one..You Can Listen to Some Tracks From the OAV in the CD Called "幻夢戦記レダ Special Selection CD" and there is Also the Ep for the Ending (K25G-7238), I think I'll Upload it Soon(This OAV Reminds somehow of Yume Jigen Hunter Fandora)...I Can Say,Shiro Sagisu is one of my Favouirte Composer From the 80's Era....

I don't know if it look like U&T III (Right now i'm just DLing it), but i think he wrote the score to a korean movie called "Musa". he also worked on the "casshern" movie...

I'm not sure with that last statement Einachi, but I still don't see the use 3shiro has to come and whine and bitch all around about his links. after all, lots of people have stolen links from FFshrine in the past, or from other forums (like "la banda de max rebo".). And we didn't whine and bitch about it ! :):)

anyone have any OST soundtracks to "Goldwish Warning"? not only did the staff members of Sailor Moon worked on this series,but Arisawa Takanori who did the Sailor Moon and Digimon soundtracks also composed music for this anime,Takanori is one of my fav compasers ^_^

and had 30000 entries in less than 3 months. a well working forum (dedicated) would be great for all the fan of anime of 70 80 and 90's
