Hi again,
Dear Einachi, I wonder whether Ai no Gakko Cuore Monogatari (
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0296297/) BGM can be found here one day? It is indeed one of the best ever produced! The music sounds quite Italian by the way! ;)

Seems like its OST or BGM album has never been produced and it's very strange, for lots of extremely beautiful music is heard throuout the anime!

The music of this Series was very Good as I Remeber, it has refreshing Jazzy Flavor….

Not a problem.
Unfortunately, i do not have the 3 missing tracks, believe me, i've tried, in fact i think many of the site members have tried to get those tracks with no luck, i even went on japanese and chinese sites looking for them to no avail.
As for Tokyo Mokushiroku (a.k.a. revelation), i also have it's soundtrack as well as it's drama cd, , either way i'm not sure if these classify as older anime soundtracks or not, i believe they came out around 1995, so it's really up to einachi if i can link that one.

Well, it's been a while, so I'd like to take the opportunity to request the few remaining anime albums I'm still actively looking for.
Odin: Photon Sailor Starlight (Vol. 1 & 2 if possible) also known as:
オーディーン 光子帆船スターライト
Odin Koushi Hansen Starlight
Prefectural Earth Defense Force (replacing the mono copy I uploaded a while ago,)
県立地球防衛軍
Kenritsu Chikyū Bōeigun
There's not a lot, but they're really obscure.
Thanks you for all the uploads so far,

Mind sending me the link?
I have a program that can repair broken files even if there is no recovery record, i'd like to try it out.
Well an update, i was able to repair track 4 on disk 2, and partially repair track 12 on disk 1, unfortunately i can't repair track 12 better than it is, it was pretty badly damaged, but at least track 4 of disk 2 is fixed completely(track 12d1 does play, till about the 2:48 mark), i can at least give you guys these:

I would really appriciate it if someone has the music "mimi-chan to panda kopanda".
The anime is great. Also, a "tetsujin 28-go (1960)" would be nice as well. Thanx for hearing(or reading) me out! I would appriciate it if you could provide me with a file with a bitrate over 160kbps:)
has anyone had any dealings with hashdb.com? It seems to be - unbelievable as this sounds - a Japanese file sharing site. It has a listing for a Yamato 2520 soundtrack that may or may not be the one that's been missing. (It may or may not still have a valid link, since it was posted quite some time ago. However, I'd like to know if anybody has any contact with them before I attempt to register.
Looking forward to any replies,

I think I might've already asked for these, but does anyone have/know where to get these soundtracks:
Demon City Shinjuku (movie)
Dragon Half (OVA)
Jungle de Ikou (OVA)
Photon: The Idiot Adventures (OVA)
Ruin Explorers (OVA)
I apologize if I've been asking for these too much...admittedly, I'm not entirely sure if there ARE soundtracks for Dragon Half and Jungle de Ikou. I've heard there were at least OP/ED singles, but even THOSE are pretty rare from what I understand!

because free hosters are able to browse what is inside your archive.
because i share only for friend
because i hate leechers, & if they are late, it's too bad for them
because i don't want people find freely my link with google & download
Congratulations, you're an asshole. Only the first reason is valid.
I have that ost of wicked city.
You need to get a good trade for it :p
And you're a bigger asshole.
Traders like morrigan666 should go die. Same with people who think you should buy out of print OSTs, especially the rares. Music is meant to be shared, meant to be lossless (and not victimized by loudness wars), and most importantly, enjoyed by all. Not used to raise your epeen or as a bartering tool.
Honestly, the only people who do trades these days are the people on 56k and the pedos. Yes, you're as bad as a pedo.
Spending $60++ to buy some obscure LP which you probably can't find anyway, then buying/fixing a TT/phono preamp to play back or transfer something that degrades with each use is lol. well, unless you can drop $12,000 on a laser based TT.
If you want to collect junk or use flawed retro hardware as a hobby, fine, but don't try to justify it. Or make statements like "this ost is too rare to share". It's just about as bad as being one of those mentally ill junk hoarders.
Finally, I'll be posting Wicked City soon, and I'll be posting it everywhere possible. Rare shit shouldn't be rare, period. Especially not when it's that good.
If the copy I end up with sucks (I've got a strong feeling it will...), I'll just buy the LP and a phono preamp when I can find/afford it and rip it myself. I've got a decent adc, though I haven't tested the ancient (and low end, at that) turntable I have here.
No thanks to morrigan. ,,|,,
Fine by me. Hope you end up as ASSHOLE like us.

Cam, I think you should calm down, man.
If you have personal matters with someone, you can PM him.
No need to say stuff like this in a thread.
And you go far for some soundtracks. Comparing someone with a pedo because he doesn't want to share something with you is not good at all.
Mewsie
04-17-2010, 03:35 PM
>> A pedo is a child molester... more or less.
And as far as not sharing certain things. I think after you've spent $100+ on an album or LP, you've earned the right to decide if it should just be everywhere. Putting it everywhere may not make everyone happy... as people like different format. And everything shouldn't have to be lossless to be considered enjoyable by noobs like you.
Excepting to get everything lossless even LP ripped stuff is being rather ignorant on your part.
Not everyone has the best of the best stuff, nor can they afford it.
If they happen across a rare album, and just happen to be able to afford it at the moment, they will likely buy it. No one said anyone had to share. We could easily start hoarding everything, even the newest stuff... than no one gets swat.
If this forum wasn't around, and most torrent sites got shut down... and so on; in all likelihood; the only way to get albums would than be to buy them and spend money out of your own pocket to even enjoy the goodness.
Considering some of the stuff I have shared in the VGM thread is extremely rare I don't know why anyone would withold an album because it's 'rare'. That's extremely selfish especially when said album is out of print and almost impossible to obtain.
If they happen across a rare album, and just happen to be able to afford it at the moment, they will likely buy it. No one said anyone had to share. We could easily start hoarding everything, even the newest stuff... than no one gets swat.
Actually, it would make more sense not to share new stuff considering it's still in print and people can you know actually buy it? Unlike that ultra rare vinyl that's almost impossible to find. Also, just because someone can refuse to share it, doesn't make it right either.
If this forum wasn't around, and most torrent sites got shut down... and so on; in all likelihood; the only way to get albums would than be to buy them and spend money out of your own pocket to even enjoy the goodness
Irrelevant.

What your asking for is insanity itself.
That's like going up and asking a millionaire for one of their Ferrari's just because they have more than one; and to the average person this is a super rare car.
It just doesn't work that way.
It's not being selfish, it's just the way the world works. Those who spend the money eventually decide which albums are worth just handing out to everyone for FREE; and which ones should be kept as in a treasure trove.
Perhaps if everyone contributed money to these collectors who spend thousands of dollars of their own money tracking these super rare albums down... it might be a different story.
That's why most super rare albums... and trust me, there's tons we still do not have that I can guarantee someone somewhere is hoarding over unwilling to share for us; without an album of equal value to trade for that they DON'T already have in their collection.
How is anyone ever supposed to complete their collections otherwise?
If you keep giving out albums for free, you never end up getting the ones you need back in return.
Frankly speaking those with collections that are easier to find, should just go do that... find them! Other than the super rares, the super olds and a few random gold-mines that got snagged up too quickly and never shared online.... most albums are purchasable somewhere, even if they don't just pop up on searches.
Even some super rares are buyable used if you know where to look... but this often is more cost than it's sometimes worth.
So you finally get 1 more CD out of your long list of stuff you need that are super rare... but by sharing it you get it off thousands of people's lists, less than 25% of which will even bother to say thanks; and out of those less than 5% will even post albums themselves....
Though... maybe more would if they could.
But the truth of the matter is... people hoard stuff, lots of stuff that they just don't want to share.
And begging them to give it up to make hundreds upon thousands of people happy without getting something in return... is just rude.
~
The majority of people here do share most of their collections without question.
But there's going to be those few albums that took years of searching and buckets of cash to buy that won't be so easily offered up.
~
I can name probably over 1000 albums that I know someone somewhere on the internet has, that are super rare; that have never (to the best of searching abilities), been posted. If not more than that....
So nagging us over with-holding 1 album out of the hundreds of super rare's already shared here... is really just being silly.
jamesbolos
04-17-2010, 08:40 PM
It's not just being silly, it's childish as well.
Getting upset because a soundtrack you're desperatly looking for is close to your reach and finally eludes you is understandable.
But people should remember the thousands of soundtracks they had for free from people they never met (and probably will never meet) who shared freely and kindly without asking anything in return but a small "thank you".
I say thanks to the guy for his sharing as he doesn't owe me anything and could keep his stuff for himself.
Well, we cant go far.
I made a thread with all of my soundtracks from kenji kawai (and I thank the helpers too here) and a guy on web made a torrent with all my files.
How can I be certain they are my files? Because NO ONE organize it Like I DO.
see here:
http://aumi.ru/index.php?autocom=torrents&code=get&tid=198
look at files of the torrent. MEWSIE will surelly know that they are my files.
At least I apreciated something like: "Can I make torrent with your files?" "I will credit it to you"
I upload here JUST for my friends HERE. IN THIS FORUM. There is lot of guys that I like here (and girls).
"Music is meant to be shared, meant to be lossless"
THAT'S A JOKE
Music is meant to be PLAYED. I play Music. I compose Music. I, MYSELF, AND I love music and I'm studying to be a music artist.
Music is not to meant to be LOSSLESS.
AGAIN, in some other thread I said this: "LOSSLESS GUYS ARE SUPER HYPER ARROGANT"
YES! It is VERY Difficult to find a DECENT LOSSLESS GUY that is not arrogant.
I stopped uploading stuff here, since I started to see my uploads on Baka.bt.
What your asking for is insanity itself.
That's like going up and asking a millionaire for one of their Ferrari's just because they have more than one; and to the average person this is a super rare car.
It just doesn't work that way.
No, it's really not. Last I checked you can't replicate ferraris (especially discontinued ones) with the click of a button.
It's not being selfish, it's just the way the world works. Those who spend the money eventually decide which albums are worth just handing out to everyone for FREE; and which ones should be kept as in a treasure trove.
Yes, it's selfish. It's witholding it to use it as a symbol of status or a trading tool.
Perhaps if everyone contributed money to these collectors who spend thousands of dollars of their own money tracking these super rare albums down... it might be a different story.
Given the rarity of certain things, and if I wanted a decent rip for myself, I'd help someone I know and trust to get hold of a copy, but it's really not relevant at all.
That's why most super rare albums... and trust me, there's tons we still do not have that I can guarantee someone somewhere is hoarding over unwilling to share for us; without an album of equal value to trade for that they DON'T already have in their collection.
Or they can stop being greedy and have some faith in the community spirit of sharing and helping.
How is anyone ever supposed to complete their collections otherwise?
Well, if you stopped being greedy, and the people like you stopped being greedy . . .
If you keep giving out albums for free, you never end up getting the ones you need back in return.
That's some awfully flawed logic, bud.
Other than the super rares, the super olds and a few random gold-mines that got snagged up too quickly and never shared online.... most albums are purchasable somewhere, even if they don't just pop up on searches.
Out of print stuff doesn't profit the label anyways, the money goes into the pocket of some second hand salesman.
So you finally get 1 more CD out of your long list of stuff you need that are super rare... but by sharing it you get it off thousands of people's lists, less than 25% of which will even bother to say thanks; and out of those less than 5% will even post albums themselves....
So? I don't care. Humans are trash, this behaviour is to be expected. Does that mean you have to stoop to their level and join the bandwagon like a sheep? Oh wait.. that's also what humans do.
And begging them to give it up to make hundreds upon thousands of people happy without getting something in return... is just rude.
I'm not begging anyone. Pointing out the blunt truth may be rude, but it had to be said.
So nagging us over with-holding 1 album out of the hundreds of super rare's already shared here... is really just being silly.
It's just an example, but that seems to have went over your head.
Well, we cant go far.
I made a thread with all of my soundtracks from kenji kawai (and I thank the helpers too here) and a guy on web made a torrent with all my files.
How can I be certain they are my files? Because NO ONE organize it Like I DO.
I'm glad he did. And you should be happy that the community is doing it's thing. Unless he is defacing your rip (lossy transcodes, and lossy lossless come to mind) or claiming it to be his own (which is presumably to gain epeen).
Even if he's being a prick, you'd be showing you're a very small man by bitching about it.
At least I apreciated something like: "Can I make torrent with your files?" "I will credit it to you"
I can kinda sympathize with you there, but honestly, what does it truly matter. Need some more epeen? :(
Music is not to meant to be LOSSLESS.
Yes, it is. If you really need to save the space for an mp3 player, fine, that's a very valid use for lossy.
But storage is cheap, there's no valid argument against lossless in this age.
AGAIN, in some other thread I said this: "LOSSLESS GUYS ARE SUPER HYPER ARROGANT"
YES! It is VERY Difficult to find a DECENT LOSSLESS GUY that is not arrogant.
Yeah, so?
Space is cheap anyways, so they kinda do have a right to complain since lossless tends to be hard to find. Not to mention the lossy fakes.
By the way, I normalize my stuff when I copy it onto my player, can't do a semi-lossless conversion with mp3->mp3. Converting a 320k mp3 to 320k to hard code the normalization ends up with a VERY poor quality. Not to mention if you wanted to make video and mix the music.
I stopped uploading stuff here, since I started to see my uploads on Baka.bt.
If you left a note with the rip, you might actually get some mention to stroke your epeen with and not have to bitch about the community's sharing. I think I still have some "ripped by nehmi" text files in my folders..
Usually it's people bitching about leeching, not sharing... lol at you
edit: oops, meant to copy paste this into previous post... oh well

We could easily all stop sharing our files merely because people like you can only complain instead of being happy with the shares they got for free without much effort on their part.
Whining like babies about how it's not some "ideal" of what a perfect file should be.
I know plenty of people who know how to mix 320k with excellent precision.
Besides, if you were to argue over the best lossless format, it wouldn't be FLAC.
The best of the best is Aus; and that's coming from a music composer.
Quit your belly aching and just deal with it.
If the rest of the world ever starts randomly sharing everything like the "utopia" you dream of, and we are all able to get a good jump on our difficult if not nearly impossible collections... (for lack of money wise) (is still more or less broke right now).
Than perhaps we wouldn't all feel that there are certain albums that we don't want everywhere.
And even if you tag your files with "ripped by...." doesn't mean it will stay that way when it starts flooding the web. It just feels disrespectful to put something up for your friends, or the kind people of the forum who have helped out so much and than to see it just sitting there on some torrent site like Baka.bt.
As much as I love Baka.bt; I must admit some of my stuff has ended up there with no credit toward me what-so-ever. And being it's not a Free-leech (which is basically your "utopian" ideal of anyone being able to obtain any album they want without giving back)... this makes it even harder to be able to contribute the album myself at a later date when perhaps I'm ready for others I don't know and who won't care what I went through to get it, to have it.
Quit your belly aching and just deal with it.
He already has? He's just stating that it's selfish and it is. He managed to find someone selling it on ebay and he'll be putting up here as soon as he gets it. So, morrigan666 can eat a dick.
Whining like babies about how it's not some "ideal" of what a perfect file should be.
Some of us have higher standards.
Besides, if you were to argue over the best lossless format, it wouldn't be FLAC
Where is your arguement to back that up?
We could easily all stop sharing our files merely because people like you can only complain instead of being happy with the shares they got for free without much effort on their part.
Damn right I'll complain if someone is witholding an album. Go ahead and withold music, I don't care, but don't post in here and say 'I have xx, but you aren't getting it IN YOUR FACE!'
I know plenty of people who know how to mix 320k with excellent precision.
There is zero precision in transcoding lossy to lossy, 320k to 320k results in a quality more like 192k or so. Might not be exact, but the loss is still big.
Besides, if you were to argue over the best lossless format, it wouldn't be FLAC.
FLAC is not necessarily the best depending how you look at it, but it's the most widely adopted/supported (especially for hardware), and the "best" (tak) is only 3% better compression and has awful support. Even then, flac has a lower decode time than tak = better for battery powered devices.
Pretty much every other lossless format isn't worth using.
Edit:
http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=Lossless_comparison
The best of the best is Aus; and that's coming from a music composer.
Never heard of it. Quick google search doesn't tell me wtf you're talking about.
Quit your belly aching and just deal with it.

If I don't "belly ache" things won't improve. I don't give a fuck if you share or not (though you should). It needed to be said, because certain people have their heads up their ass.

I find this logic to be flawed.
And the only reason you can find morrigan's stuff easily anywhere, is because he shared it before; and some jerk took it and put it everywhere.
If music was meant to be free,... there wouldn't be so many lawsuits and people being thrown into jail over "stealing" music.
If you expect everything to meet your "high" standards in life, be prepared for a lot of stress and heartache.
And since when is anything right/just/fair?
Life isn't fair, things aren't just going to happen because you want them to; things aren't going to be handed to you on a silver platter if you complain enough about it.
If you don't like something, go make your own little exclusive forum somewhere outside of FFshrine and see if you actually get all your pretty little "flac" for every album that you may be looking for, for free.
Otherwise what's the point, not everyone is going to conform to your nazi "ideals" about what should be considered "perfect" and what shouldn't be.
I don't care, but don't post in here and say 'I have xx, but you aren't getting it IN YOUR FACE!'
You must be living under a rock if you really think we are the only one's on earth who do this.
Most of my "want" list has come up the wall of nothing but 'I have ..., but you can't have it...'; usually with some exception of trade-only, if you're lucky for that exception to exist and have something they want in return... otherwise your as stuck as you were before you found them.
We didn't start the war of what should be considered rare and left in the hands of few, leaving others killing themselves in attempt to get it. We merely are trying to be as nice as we can, in hopes of getting something we need in return.
If for every 10 albums we upped 320k, or even Flac (as I have done a few)... it'd be nice if we could get at least 1 back. That's not asking much.

Can't you Cam and Xuse grab the stuff you want silently and try not to show us how selfish and irrational you are.
Are we all friends? Family? Nothing like that.
And still you want something from people you don't know and in your terms.
You're not special.
If I spend 100 bucks on a soundtrack, do I have to give it to people who will take it for granted. Do I have to serve you.
Knowing that many people hold their most precious items and are reluctant to share them, if I have nothing to propose, I sit on it but you guys will have a nice collection thanks to me?
And I should feel grateful?
Come on gentlemen, it's not the way it works.
Instead of yelling "I WANT THIS!!" try to get some jewels you'll have struggled for and we'll see how you act.
Don't tell me "oh yes I will share it, period!" without even thinking.
We share easily because most of our stuff we had it for free.
If you had to pay for every soundtrack you own, it would be different.
So now let's stop this nonsense where the only things we'll get will be insults, bad thoughts and a thread closed.
Love and Peace guys. Or get the hell out.
And Mewsie and morrigan, don't bother answering them, it will be endless.
And just to be clear Iczer-1 (the same goes for Cam), when you register in 2008/2009 and leave 15 posts and 1 post, that means you didn't spend too much time saying "thank you" to the uploaders. Just this should be a reason for you to keep it down.

And just to be clear Iczer-1 (the same goes for Cam), when you register in 2008/2009 and leave 15 posts and 1 post, that means you didn't spend too much time saying "thank you" to the uploaders. Just this should be a reason for you to keep it down.
I am not an animemusic fan and i never downloaded any animemusic there.
I have some physical animemusic cd's/lp's and i am satisfield with. Nowadays i am just a VGM Collector. And i don't need and i don't use FFShrine for it. I know alternative and OLDER places than FFShrine.
I registered there just to post in the Final Fantasy Threads.
And yesterday, i was just "walking" around this thread and i saw someone talking about a pathetic guy.
Bye.
So you only buy what you think is good and expect the rest flawless and free?
I find this logic to be flawed.
I didn't say flawless. If the music sounds good and is mastered well, I'm not asking for much. To be honest, I don't think you even know what logic is.
And the only reason you can find morrigan's stuff easily anywhere, is because he shared it before; and some jerk took it and put it everywhere.
Not entirely true, most of it can be found on Japanese sharing programs.
If music was meant to be free,... there wouldn't be so many lawsuits and people being thrown into jail over "stealing" music.
I don't see how that's relevant, but you're making a habit of this so whatever.
If you expect everything to meet your "high" standards in life, be prepared for a lot of stress and heartache.
Quite frankly, you don't know what you're talking about. There is nothing wrong with wanting high quality music, I think I deserve quality after all the money I've spent on audio equipment. When there is money involved if things don't meet my standards, why should I pay? If they want my money they should release a version worth buying.
And since when is anything right/just/fair?
Life isn't fair, things aren't just going to happen because you want them to; things aren't going to be handed to you on a silver platter if you complain enough about it.
Irrelevant again, but considering how many people in my family have suffered and died from cancer, I find your silly 'life lessons' to be insulting. Once again you're assuming I complain about everything just because I want high quality music. Where is your logic now?
If you don't like something, go make your own little exclusive forum somewhere outside of FFshrine and see if you actually get all your pretty little "flac" for every album that you may be looking for, for free.
Otherwise what's the point, not everyone is going to conform to your nazi "ideals" about what should be considered "perfect" and what shouldn't be.
That's fine if MP3 works for you, but it doesn't for me and neither does badly mastered music. Like I've said, I've spent too much money on audio equipment to have it ruined by MP3 or bad mastering. I don't see how that's 'nazi'.
You must be living under a rock if you really think we are the only one's on earth who do this.
No, but most people are in the spirit of sharing and I've met a lot of good friends through sharing music.
We didn't start the war of what should be considered rare and left in the hands of few, leaving others killing themselves in attempt to get it. We merely are trying to be as nice as we can, in hopes of getting something we need in return.
In general I find this to have the opposite effect, but carry on.
If for every 10 albums we upped 320k, or even Flac (as I have done a few)... it'd be nice if we could get at least 1 back. That's not asking much.
I've uploaded a lot more here than I've downloaded. So, I'm not sure how relevant that is.

So you spend money on the equipment but not the music...
I'd like to say this than. How can you be so sure your precious little "friends" that you speak of haven't been holding out on you?
And as far as what you've uploaded, that's only relevant if you actually owned the physical CDs to begin with. Otherwise, there just stuff you downloaded from someone else and never bothered to credit said person.
And just to be clear. I find a lot of my CDs on Japanese share programs after I've uploaded them too. It doesn't take much effort on their part to look up the Catalog number, change the upload to it's Japanese info and upload it there. And being that said "uploads" are always the same quality I've uploaded and only get better when I seem to upload a better version... it doesn't seem like mere coincidence.
So you spend money on the equipment but not the music...
No, I purchase music that's mastered well. Doesn't have to be perfect, aslong as it's not a brick wall. I'll post pics of my vinyl collection for you some day.
I'd like to say this than. How can you be so sure your precious little "friends" that you speak of haven't been holding out on you?
I doubt it, I've seen them buy rare cassette tapes off Yahoo Japan Auctions, rip them and share them with me.
And as far as what you've uploaded, that's only relevant if you actually owned the physical CDs to begin with. Otherwise, there just stuff you downloaded from someone else and never bothered to credit said person.
Not really, it's still my time and bandwidth. Kinda hard to credit an anonymous sharer or I would.
Unlikely considering the vast majority of them have logs in Japanese. Oh, right you probably think they change them too. Whatever, it's like arguing with a wall.
And the only reason you can find morrigan's stuff easily anywhere, is because he shared it before; and some jerk took it and put it everywhere.
I'd like to personally thank whoever did that then. I don't need any of his stuff, mind you, but hey, he did the music loving community a big favor!
If music was meant to be free,... there wouldn't be so many lawsuits and people being thrown into jail over "stealing" music.
You know as well as all of us that shit is retarded. 90% of the money goes to the scammers in the music industry, who are responsible for the loudness war, and other middlemen, and not the actual artist who deserves the money.
Smarter bands happily let their music be distributed, or even distribute it themselves, because piracy isn't all bad. It gives them a "friendly image" and helps promote the band (or movie). Sure, there's a lot of dicks out there, but those same dicks probably wouldn't have paid regardless.
And since when is anything right/just/fair?
With people like you dominating the population of the world, what do you expect. Rofl.
If you don't like something, go make your own little exclusive forum somewhere outside of FFshrine and see if you actually get all your pretty little "flac" for every album that you may be looking for, for free.
I have been for years. I don't need ffshrine. I don't give a flying fuck if my whole isp were banned.
My search priority has been google (leads here often) > private trackers > emule/jap p2p. It's just a matter of convenience. If something is awesome enough, I'll pay for it given that I can afford it. If it's mastered like shit, though, like 90%+ of cd-sourced music, I refuse to buy it on principal. I'd rather die than support this anti-musical trend, the loudness war. If everyone else felt the same way, it would end, and our music would actually be listenable.
Otherwise what's the point, not everyone is going to conform to your nazi "ideals" about what should be considered "perfect" and what shouldn't be.
My ideals aren't nazi, stop being dumb. I'm probably one of the least picky audiophiles. You're starting to sound as BR as morrigan.
You must be living under a rock if you really think we are the only one's on earth who do this.
Don't go assuming shit, this is directed at all such people.
Can't you Cam and Xuse grab the stuff you want silently and try not to show us how selfish and irrational you are.
Selfish and irrational = the people I am flaming. I don't want anything. I'm trying to do the community a favor here in pointing this out.
Hell, ask morrigan, I never asked him for the one OST on his list I actually have a need for. I'll be buying the LP when it shows up, some day.
God, I hate when random clueless noobs jump in and talk out their bunghole.
If I spend 100 bucks on a soundtrack, do I have to give it to people who will take it for granted. Do I have to serve you.
Seriously, is your brain broken? I have never said I want anything nor said anyone has an obligation. I said their attitude is greedy and selfish. It is, period. No more, no less. And considering I've waited years for some OSTs, you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
Instead of yelling "I WANT THIS!!" try to get some jewels you'll have struggled for and we'll see how you act.
Nobody has said that, my challenged friend.
If you had to pay for every soundtrack you own, it would be different.
No, it would not.
Or get the hell out.
Ironically, I believe you're the first person to actually tell someone what to do in this thread.
And Mewsie and morrigan, don't bother answering them, it will be endless.
Yes, please stop answering, every post they make, makes them look dumber and greedier.
And just to be clear Iczer-1 (the same goes for Cam), when you register in 2008/2009 and leave 15 posts and 1 post, that means you didn't spend too much time saying "thank you" to the uploaders. Just this should be a reason for you to keep it down.
I wouldn't expect anyone to thank me for my uploads; I upload things to the net knowing full well that nobody will appreciate it. Only thing that bothers me is people resampling my doujin scans/music rips or uploading it to a "status based"/private site (which has happened). But I can certainly live with it.
Not entirely true, most of it can be found on Japanese sharing programs.
Indeed.
So you spend money on the equipment but not the music...
Anyone who spends money on music before getting a quality pair of 2.0 headphones (the surround ones are gimmicky trash) or $100+ per single speaker (unless DIY), and a dac better than your shitty ipod or onboard audio, is a tool. Music is unlistenable on supercheap gear, it all sounds like mp3s even if lossless.
One you have your hardware, then you can spend your biiig bucks on music. Jap cds are what $30 minimum? More if you have to use a middleman on yahoo japan?

That is what I meant by referring the login time of them.
Time more well spent BLABING then "Thank you"
I don't care about them.
Right now I only upload to my friends.
for jamesbolos, mewsie and more friends:
I spent almost a lifetime looking for my FAVORITE soundtracks EVER, and almost seemed like it did not exist.
You know you are all itchy about getting some difficult soundtrack that you had a lot of work to get it, almost killing you about it, and then what kills you is that 1 year later we found more then once that rare thing we spent 5 years looking. You know the feeling? :(
At least.. it is FUN and ADDICTIVE because we are giving our best to find it, but we end up thinking "I had so much work to get this thing and now it's everywhere"... I'm not saying it should no be everywhere, I'm just sharing the feeling of it.
Devilman Ova Soundtrack (dont want to look a bastard saying it was I who put on the net XD) When I found the soundtrack on the program EMULE I wait almost 1 year to be downloaded from there. ONE YEAR!!!!!
When I download I spent more listening and a lot of months later I remembered to organize it XD.
And now I see it everywhere with the names I put and with the covers i had.
It is a GREAT SOUNDTRACK with GREAT MUSIC... LET IT BE SHARED!!!!
***AVE***
and mewsie.... I will never PAY you enough for those 2 soundtracks you bought for "me" Birdy the Might ost 2 and ELLCIA OST.

Then you must send a PM to the original uploader. I only have mp3. :/

Ooo, thanks. That's the first I've seen the back covers; I'm not always good at finding them if I'm not the original owner of said CD. I think it was QooQooQooQoo who originally uploaded Curse of Yoma to the site I ended up finding it at; so he may be helpful in getting a better rip than whatever quality mp3 I got.
And when I come across more money, I'd be more than willing to buy anything else you may be looking for... if I can find them. Not everything is easy, but as you've seen I'm getting a bit better at finding these rare albums and buying them. :3
~
And at you other two... you obviously never looked at a "rare" CD's price. You'd be lucky if you found it for $30; before middle-man costs.
Some of those super rare ones (that I've been avoiding due to cost), are over $100 per CD. I've even a few really rare LP records over $500 each.
~
BTW, I already spent well over $300 for my audio parts; so assuming you're the only one with good speakers, sound card and headphones... is a joke.
(about $130ish for my speakers, about $200ish for the headphones... and I don't recall the price of the soundcard; though I'm planning on spending another $300 on a new one sometime this year).

Stop assuming shit again. How do you know if I've looked at rare cds before or not? You don't. Please think before you post.

I'm not dumb. And $150 after middleman is most I'd pay for any album.

TMI, dont care. Never said you don't. But it is very commonplace these days to see shit gear and stupid kids pimping ipods. Felt I needed to take a poke at them if any such person is here.
~

Now I can be able to buy some for me. I have sent you all my original cds ripped by me ;)
(and LPs too: *Simon. B! I Summon you...and Kiss you*)
If ever come up with some of your requests I'll buy it so can at least LISTENING IT :)
My Shuten Doji cd was 100.00 Yen. a lot of money. :/
I ended up listening that cd more times then the others I bought.
it was second handed and the most cool thing is that I bought all of my anime soundtracks in second hand and they all came in MINT conditions. :P
I completed my Shurato Soundtracks and I'm listening It along with Devil Hunter Yohko and Yoma (all music by Hiroya Watanabe), and i'm getting very addicted. the mp3 rip of Yoma look fine by me. But I'm willing to buy this cd for me. *.*
I love track 04 - Ayumi [....somethin...]

Terramax

for jamesbolos, mewsie and more friends:
I do NOT find anything enjoyable about almost killing over finding a rare soundtrack. For the record, I haven't uploaded any OSTs on this forum yet, because people already have.
But a few years back I spent a LOT of time and a LOT of money on soundtracks, but this gave me nothing but pain and grief. Buying soundtracks for Final Fantasy Tactics for 30+ only to find out 2 years down the line it's a cheap bootleg, etc.
The final straw was a soundtrack for the first Tenchu: Stealth Assassins. I spent years looking for that and when it finally turned up I shelled out about 100 for it, only to find a number of the tracks from the game weren't even on there.
I've spent close to 60 on a few others as well, and you know what, it's not right. Why should I have to pay so much money just because I wasn't living in Japan when they were first released?
So now, I just download. Is it legal or moral? I guess that's up to the individual to decide, but I know this -- it's not fair I should have to shell out ridiculous amounts for soundtracks, when none of the money will be going to the original artists because it's second hand; just because the companies themselves no longer distribute the music at a fair price.
jamesbolos

Terramax.
Nobody blames you for not uploading (I don't upload myself for the same reasons as yours : everything is here already).
I understand your point of view, as I understand Cam point of view or Morrigan's.
This isn't the problem.
The problem is when two people settle their personnal matters in a public place like this, and when the argument is escalating the only option modos have is to close the thread.
I don't want this great thread to be closed.
We already had one great thread closed lately because of that. I don't want to see this happening here.
Now everything is cool again so let's keep it that way.

I can't seem to access that forum (Old Anime). Could you please upload the Metropolis OST and post it on this site?
>> Metropolis should be easy enough to find.
At the moment I'm avoiding uploading my personal CDs; I would at the OldAnimeForums; merely as they aren't usually as naggy about certain things.
Reasons I hate FLAC
A. It currently takes forever to rip 1 FLAC CD (is on a money standstill till car is fixed).
B. It takes up a lot of room.
C. I don't like using my free HD space for someone else's "better" standard of music.
D. Though HD space may be cheap, it doesn't mean I can spend more money at the time to get it; and even if I did it wouldn't be to RIP my stuff as FLAC. (if you call $170 for 1 HD cheap;....)
E. Even with all my "stereo" technology (speakers, headphones, sound card) that cost enough by themselves... I honestly don't hear a difference between FLAC and 320k for most CDs (guess that's why people prefer vinyl).
F. I don't feel like buying my CDs as vinyl, merely because that actually is ridiculously expensive (as Terramax was stating about the costs for CDs... the costs for most vinyl are usually double if not three times more than their CD price; because they are rarer).
~
That's all for now... >> I do hear a difference between ALAC and MP3 though; so perhaps that might be worth chasing... when I get my newer HD for my music.
A. It currently takes forever to rip 1 FLAC CD (is on a money standstill till car is fixed).
Flac q5 takes about as much time as LAME mp3. Money? What money.
B. It takes up a lot of room.
A 1 tb drive is only $80. It only takes a lot of room if you're a junk hoarder.
F. I don't feel like buying my CDs as vinyl, merely because that actually is ridiculously expensive (as Terramax was stating about the costs for CDs... the costs for most vinyl are usually double if not three times more than their CD price; because they are rarer).
Don't forget the horrible degradation.
I do hear a difference between ALAC and MP3 though; so perhaps that might be worth chasing... when I get my newer HD for my music.
ALAC sucks dick. I read an article a few years ago proving that it wasn't actually lossless (aka bit-perfect), too, but perhaps the losers at Apple fixed it.
Mewsie
04-25-2010, 09:07 PM
All I know is that FLAC for whatever reason does take more room on my computer than a 320k MP3. Perhaps it's because I use an older version of windows... or whatever...
And by your definition. Everything I have is junk, because you consider anything that's not FLAC as junk.
Maybe... I know the last few ALAC things I got sounded pretty good, but maybe it depends. I really don't care either way; as I mostly use Mp3.
Let's see:
Folder A: FLAC: 245 MB
Folder B (same CD): Mp3 320k: 62.5 MB
difference?, I think so.
Anything smaller than 1gb/80 minutes is completely negligible in size.
Lossless is lossless, and apple "lossless" is not bit-perfect (as of my most likely outdated info) and thus not lossless.

I'm not much a part of this forum never having shared anything, so perhaps my voice doesn't mean much.
However, I'd like to point out that there are Lossless threads and non-Lossless threads on this site.
Complaining that people aren't sharing Lossless music when the thread title doesn't make any mention of Lossless files is uncalled for.
I'd like to give thanks to everyone who shares anime and video game soundtrack material on this forum, regardless of format, because without this site we'd all be forced to track things down (and pay for them) ourselves, regardless of our own personal standards.
However, I'd like to point out that there are Lossless threads and non-Lossless threads on this site.
Complaining that people aren't sharing Lossless music when the thread title doesn't make any mention of Lossless files is uncalled for.
Random nobody making clueless, senseless and irrelevant comments is uncalled for.
Just because it's not a lossless-only thread doesn't mean squat.

Many greetings from Sicily and thanks to everybody for the opportunity to listen some ost of classic japanese animation, music that gives me a lot of emotions because it also linked to personal memories (I am 42 years old).
I look for the recording of はだしのゲン (Hadashi no Gen - in english 'Barefoot Gen', in italian 'Gen di Hiroshima').
This LP (Starchild K25G 7155 - music by Kentaro Haneda) is the score of an extraordinary film that I love much, which I made the Italian translation of subtitles (the film never arrived in Italy); I show this film in the schools for its strong anti-war message.
