And if you drag the channel over the arrows on either side of the screen and hold it there for a second, you could switch displays. Handy for hiding games you don't want people to know you have (and you need go out for a few to get a SD card to move said game to)
HOW COULD YOU GUYS NOT KNOW?!?!?!?!
Because they use their Wii less than their PS3?

I haven't noticed Malon in it yet. I've only been playing it for an hour or so, but it's addictive. Yeah the story starts out with 'the hero' going to get his train conductor certificate from Princess Zelda, but eventually you get the usual green garb.

Picked up FF Tactics again. I will beat you this time!
Don't worry; if I can beat it (on PSX and PSP), anyone can! The key is in making sure the characters you start with (the hired hands whom can be re-hired from academies but start off at lvl 1, whether you're facing lvl 1 or lvl 50 enemies) at a much higher level than your enemies. I'd spend the bulk of your time at first just gearing up your guys before you ever tackle, say, the Trade City (I forget the name). That way, you run a lesser risk of losing anybody later on ;) That's what got me my first time through! By the time I reached the final battle against Weigraf, I was so over-leveled, everything beyond him was boringly easy.

Yea, I've been there before. I've got about 60 ps2 games and about 15 ps1 games, and around 90% of them I really like. Just got done beating the crap out of Megaman 9. Have no idea why people are saying it's so hard. It's not. You have to do all four Wily stages in one go and my controller ran out of juice after the 2nd fortress stage so i had to use the batteries in my remote, so i buckled down and beat it like it owed me money. Pro tip to anyone wanting to buy the classic controller because they are tired of their Wiimote running out of power, don't. It plugs INTO the WIIMOTE. Fuck you Nintendo.
Also just got done with Crisis Core, which was also pretty good. They did an awesome job on the ending.

Why the hell would they do that? the things got 4 NGC ports why not just use those. Sometimes I can't comprehend nintendo's design choices; N64 expantion pak, the controller layout for N64 & gamecube, the way gamecube was one of the smallest systems yet takes up twice as much space.

I just got a Wii last month and before that i didn't know a single thing about them. I just knew that what few minutes i played of one at a family member's house i thought "this is awesome, i have to get one of these". Other than that i didn't even know it could play Gamecube games before i got it.

I have never been very fond of the n64 layout either. I like the gamecube one, though. I question the deal with the expansion pak. Did they want to give the system that memory at the time of release but could not pull it off due to tech constraints of that moment? More sales? (most likely) I also question the rumble pack. It should have been integrated already into the controller. AND IT NEEDS BATTERIES. Dammit.

Rogue Squadron and Goldeneye? You have a good point there.
Well, add Super Mario 64 and Starfox 64 to the list while you're at it, lol.
I did very much like using my XBox360 controller with Project64 to play Starfox 64. Perfect (almost) emulation controller right there. I had a hard time with the N64 fps games using that controller, though.
Fortunately, I still have my actual N64 with which I can play several of the fps games including Perfect Dark, Turok 2, Goldeneye, the World is Not Enough, Hexen, and you can somewhat half-count Shadows of the Empire.
My sister has a Wii, so our NGC is not getting dusted off.
I wonder if I should keep the NGC for myself once I live alone so that I may at least play Twilight Princess whenever I please. =D

The 'cube controller absolutely killed the last level in Rogue Squadron, what should have been a satisfyingly difficult test of skill was made just aggravating with the roll button in the same place as the accelerator and add to that the camera pulls back when you speed up suddenly.
As for the N64 one I never had any real trouble with it until I tried playing shooters on anything that isn't Nintendo, nearly all other console and PC shooters have the right hand as the aim and look function and the left hand as the run and other functions. Having played Star Fox 64, Rogue Squadron series, Golden Eye, Perfect Dark, Time Splitters 2, and any action game with a first person view I've always used my right hand to run around, open doors, select items and my left hand to look, aim, & shoot.

yeah, starcraft had a better story, and had a good gameplay. It was a cool game and I enjojed playing it! Absolutely true about the reversed controls, always annoyed me, but hey, practice makes perfect =P
When setting up controls in an xbox (not 360, never touched one) shooter, I try to go with a setup similar to those N64 games while on pc, I go with the reveresed setup, using my left hand instead for movement and interacting with the environment since it is what I am to used to. I no longer play consoles very much, so I suck ass at the console shooters now, lol. A little practice would help, but I'm too lazy.

Brutal Legend! This game is epic - if you like metal, fighting games, or fantasy, or even just Jack Black, then you will LOVE this :) It is HILARIOUS! I mean, there is even a dude in the game that flies in the air using his HAIR for crying out loud! Haha :P Love it!
I did consider the game, but then I found out that the Asian version was published by EA. Ummm, no thanks. I don't want a rootkit in my PS3.
As for the PSP Go, I found a use for it. Tetris. Never mind that it's by EA. I don't give a rat's ass about an already crippled device catching a rootkit.

I'd heard the opposite :(
I have no PS3 so I can't rate them myself, but I heard Bayonetta is a female Devil May Cry, and that MW2 is pretty damn good. I don't know what it ranks on console shooters, but I've been told it's up there for sure.

MW2 feels boring and I feel like I'm playing an army recrutment game. The controls are smooth, but the game lacks story and the graphics are a bit behind Killzone 2 which are both way better IMO. I haven't played the online multiplayer on my PS3 yet but the single player campaign is meh. I have read that the multiplayer is where it's at and I can already see how they're right since I got to play a little on my nephews 360, but I want to finish the singleplayer first before I can make a final assessment.
As for Bayonetta, it's just like Devil May Cry because it was made my the same director and/or creator. Since I haven't played it on the 360 I can't compair what everyone is fussing about - loading time. But I haven't had any problems so ignorance is bliss. I am wondering if the older PS3s are having the loading problems and intend to compair on both my slim PS3 and original 60GB system later.

I've played the demo of Bayonetta and I can see the similarities between it and Devil May Cry, but personally I thought it reminded more of Bulletwitch which was abysmal imo. Still... judging a game via a demo is rather foolhardy so I may hire Bayonetta out and revise my opinion after playing it.
As for me... The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I can't get into this game no matter what. I've escaped from the dungeon but I honestly don't feel any 'attachment' for this game after the first level, like I do for other games. Probably not my kind of game I guess.
Gone back to Final Fantasy XI Online again, with an alternate character and leveling concurrently with a friend's alternate character. Starting 'fresh' has helped revive my liking of this game again.

I'm kind of tackling a lot of games right now. Definitely my fiance and I are into WoW, which I enjoy immensely with her. I'm working toward beating Resident Evil DS (my second favorite RE next to the remake of the original on Gamecube, which sadly I can't play right now because I'm missing a vital cord to hookup the system to my TV, and have no clue where I misplaced it), and a little Half-Life 2 as well. I was working on FFVI and FFXII for a while there, but I sort of shifted away from those for a while because after powering through FFX, I'm honestly a little FF'd-out for the time being :(

I played it on Game Cube and it's the best over all Zelda. From the quick and easy menu system, horse controls, art design, to the fact that when you run and swing your sword you just kinda thwack it so you can cut grass and other stuff without stopping. Then there's the fact that we actually get a character that has character we fallows you through the hole game.

I really enjoyed it. I think it's a must have if you own a DS. Sometimes traveling on the train can be slow, but there are shortcuts. The dungeons and bosses are great and working with Zelda more as a partner in the game rather than some character you only see once or twice like previous installments is such a great idea and I hope they continue with it. In fact, she should get her own game much like Princess Peach has her own.

well i remember the first propaganda i'd see about silent hill games and alomst every magazine draw it like a kind of resident evil type .
the game itself wasn't lame i say this more for the fact of emptyness in the game.
but a good game when you're alone at home at night...as fun as resident evil 1

You felt it empty maybe because of the Idea of the game, Silent Hill overall concept is something very abstact, psychological & symbolic, difficult to understand for the first playthrough and even more difficult if you play it a young age.
In magazines they paint it as RE Type because of it's gameplay, but in essence they are very different.
I love that the protagonists are morally ambiguous. I've never loved every protagonist in a differentiated series such as this, as I do with SH.
Maybe that's why I really am loving Shattered Memories, after my initial bout of BWAAAA about them bringing Harry down off his pedestal?

Not really, though things you do in Mass Effect do have follow ups in the sequel. You can carry your character over (If your character in ME is level 60, you start at level 5 instead of 1), and if your character had a large amount of credits, something over a million or so, when you start ME2 you have 200k worth of credits to play with from the start. Unfortunately none of your inventory etc from ME is carried over to ME2.

If you truly want to immerse yourself in the world, you'll want to play Mass Effect 1.
All the decision you made in the first game carry over, and the story is exclusively done around those decisions. Making the experience different for each Shepard. The main plot doesn't change, but how it develops does.
When talk of Mass Effect 3 starts up, I'm going to replay both games as a Female Protagonist, since I'm currently a Male.
When Mass Effect 3 comes out, I'll have both Male and Female Shepard's to finish the game and the Trilogy.

I'm finally sucking it up and starting up a proper game of Disgaea on my DS. It is hard playing Disgaea on a new file, but worth it just to be able to play it. Maybe this will someday be able to rival my PS2 file.

I downloaded this free korea-mmo called Lunia (
http://lunia.ogplanet.eu/HOME.html) (shameless push I know...) and it has really grown into me, which is wierd because the game has this really annoying anime style outlook. The gameplay is fantastic though, reminds me alot of old school dungeon crawls games like Gauntlet & Stonekeep.

You might like Shaiya then. It's a more realistic MMO (that's free) and it's also a Korean game.
I play it. A lot.

Sorta finished SOTN there's still a few things I want to do on it.
Now i started Castlevania; Dracula X Chronicles and Final Fantasy VII
I've been getting a lot into Castlevania lately. I don't know why. As for Final Fantasy VII, it's been a few months since I played an FF and VII seems a nice way to get back in the series. I've only played it once, so this is kind of an opportunity.

You Finished SOTN? did you fighted with Galamoth?
Yesterday I finished Megaman X4 with both characters, Zero's run was fun & challenging, X's run was pure cakewalk...
I'm replaying X5 now.

I said sorta. I got the Silver Ring and now I'm exploring the castle upside down. I don't know any of the boss names so don't ask me. I know they're shown on the bottom right, but I never pay much attention :p
I don't play it all day like I did before. I got other games to play too. But one thing I gotta say about SOTN. Damn, that is an awesome soundtrack.

Be aware that the first is not as good as the second. Personally, I liked it a lot, but most people I know found it somewhat repetitive and boring.
