Just beat Pokemon Platinum and i'm getting back into Tenchu 2 since i almost broke the disk for Tenchu Fatal Shadows in half last night.

They should call that game "Tenchu Throw your controller at a fucking wall" since the control response would be no different than if you were throwing it around like a tard or actually trying to play it seriously. Enemies stealth kill YOU when YOU'RE sneaking up behind them. *LOGIC FUCK!* Normal civilians JUMP UP ON ROOF TOPS while just walking around villages, Enemies SEE THROUGH WALLS "It's a glitch and i tested it to actually see if it was the case and it is". Enemies look up at roof tops...For no reason. Why even bother blocking? Because ANY enemy can INSTANT KILL YOU at ANY TIME. Stealth kills are delayed and enemies through out the WHOLE STAGE are alerted when just ONE person sees you and then they all cluster fuck around you making you pretty much screwed.

I don't know what happened at Sega and From Software, but they seriously fucked up that game.

I would say the only "glitch" in RE5 VS mode was how they programmed it to allow you to attack other players in "Slayers" mode. Considering the point of Slayers is to kill as many as enemies as possible, Capcom also designed it to allow you to kill other players which is stupid because it wastes so much ammo and you have dumb idiot players who purposely distract you by trying to shoot you. It totally defeats the purpose of the mode since killing each other is reserved for "Survivors".

Skil seriously, play dynasty warriors 6 on master mode, the officers own you, the luitenants stun u, and the privates take cheap shots at you and slap you around at times. Like i said which u should READ, it needs to be well thought out.

Put everything else on hold for Persona 4. It's that awesome. Sure, the social skills part slows the action down a bit, but the game just has so much to do, it's incredible. And getting new Personas is pretty interesting too.

I've been through four or five chapters so far and tbh it's not much for gameplay. Run around, gather some clues, solve the puzzle. The puzzle is always a number sequence and there's really no wiggle room. It's super linear. One of those games with lots of 'go back and talk to that guy' if you get stuck. So there's a good bit of back n forth. The puzzles aren't stupidly challenging since they always provide you with (sometimes obscenely) obvious clues. There are secret puzzles though which i think are kind of fun to look for, but that might just be the completionist in me talking.

The best thing about it for me is that Suda51 quirk. I'm a confessed sucker for Suda51/Grasshopper games. I find the writing pretty humorous and surreal in a David Lynch kind of way. And mercifully, the game falls back on that strength constantly. Outside of the number puzzles it might as well be a funny visual novel.

I don't really get everything going on, but it seems like one of those games not to be fully comprehend till the second play. I can definitely see why people would pass on it. I'm in it for the plot.

I'm back to COD4 atm, waiting for MW2.

I'm quite interested in furthering the story cos it seems genuinely interesting. Demons have started popping up, modern life is degrading as the power goes out all over Tokyo, and my character can see the number of days people have left to live right over their heads Deathnote style. And your party is full of ones :shock:

On the other hand, I'm not a huge fan of grid-based battle systems and wary that I was recently stuck grinding or resorting to clever exploits to win only the 3rd fight in the game. It's a boss fight true, but goddamn, the difficulty certainly jumped pretty high from that last battle.

Another annoyance is the presence of only one save slot. So, I'm stuck with my choices till the next new game. Even NES games had more than that :mad:

Regardless, it's a decent start. I really like the music, the art, and the interactions with your characters. Just have to get used to the battles. I don't regret picking it up at all.

I just started playing Lux-Pain and it's kind of hard to get into. I think I may have to check out the instruction booklet for some kind of back story. It's definitely a game that's up my alley and I appreciate the amount of voice acting since it's not something you find in most DS games (at least not the ones I play).

Yeah, definitely a game where reading the instruction booklet is a requirement. It just sticks you smack dab in the middle of the action without even a hint of back story. And I like how in the instruction guide, it states that Lux-Pain is a first of its kind because it combines stylus-based action and adventure games. And I bought Command and Conquer: The First Decade. It has a bunch of the older series on one disc. But the only ones really worth playing in my opinion, is Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge. (People still play online, although there are not a lot of people)

I have been playing the First Decade as well. Very Good games -- and yes, RA2 and Yuri's Revenge are the best ones out of the pack, but I believe, in my opinion, that all of them are good in a way.

Also, It depends if the game is good and you are not just playing it just to complete it because "It's a game you have to beat." Forcing yourself to complete the game is a bad thing and ruins the fun you should always come back to it when you get in the mood, learned that from Neg. :D

I agree. But I mean like, a good plot that just gets better. I'm not sure if you thought I was trying to be sarcastic or not :D

Okami imo is an instant classic.

I mean, in a larger sense it's basically a Legend of Zelda game with a wolf, but it executes oh so very well. I'd put it up there with Windwaker minus all the sailing. Plus it's loooong with the added boon of being interesting and fun which is always good. There's also a new game+ and a good bit of unlockable content. Heck, even the loading screens hold secrets.

Anyways, I'd recommend it to anyone and everyone. :)

I just started playing Flower, Sun, and Rain and I rather like it. I think what I like about it most so far is its originality. I've never played a game like it. It's just so unique and bizarre. And on the negative side, the graphics are a bit ugly and some of the cut scenes are way too long.

I've been playing Umineko no Naku Koro ni. It is awesome, but I've only tracked down the first chapter in English so far, so I may get cut off soon. An anime based on it just started, but I have yet to check it out.

I've just gotten my hands on [Prototype]. Pretty good stuff so far. Graphics can be a bit questionable; some pop-in and very basic terrain textures. It controls smooth as silk though, and the animations are very slick.

If you liked zipping around New York at breakneck speeds in the Spider-Man games (or anything similar) this one's for you.

I suppose you saw Yahtzee's review? He gave [Prototype] and InFamous equal scores. But didn't seem over the moon with either.

I played the InFamous demo and I really didn't like it. I thought I would pick one of the two up, but I've read things that pretty much suggest both are good, but not fantastic.

And Spider-Man 2 had me glued to the PS2 for hours. Finding all the skyscraper and buoy tokens was so much fun because you got to swing around like a lunatic throughout all the searching. 3 kind of went downhill.

I'm currently playing Call Of Duty:World At War. I have been for months. It's the online, it's so good/addictive. (any online PS3 players, add me. My ID is in the thread in General Gaming)

I am hoping to start again with Dead Space soon.

Hardcore Search And Destroys Pros!

FINALLY got my hands on Halo 3 - my first Halo game evah! And I have to say, it is about as good as I thought it would be. It could in no way surpass my top three FPS games, Perfect Dark, Goldeneye & Half-Life 2, but it is really good. I love the special items it has (Bubble Shield, Regenerator, etc.) that add to the commotion, and I adore the energy sword ^_^
