I don't mean to seem like a fanboy eating up everything thrown at me, I'm just trying to give the Animated series a chance, despite the wacky proportions, which I do agree would be cooler if toned down, I do see things I like about it and it still feels enough like Transformers to me so I'm interested to see more.

Cool kitbash by KYQ, Rescue Ratchet with an altered Alt. Prowl head and Alt. Swindle/Hound/Rollbar hands.
If Hasbro had actually done it that way, I'd buy the thing. The thighs are ugly to me but overall I've always thought Ratchet had the best body design of the movie bots. Take away the ugly head and it's a lot cooler, I think.
I don't mean to seem like a fanboy eating up everything thrown at me,
nah, I didn't take it that way at all.
And I agree about that kitbash. It makes me sad when I see stuff like that because it's a reminder of how awesome the movie characters could have looked.
Lunchbox McGillicuddy

If I had more money I'd go about trying to make one myself, but it'd probably end up costing me over 60 bucks or more, 20 for the Ratchet, loads of gas money to find the Ratchet, and retail price plus more plus shipping for Alt. Prowl and a Jeep Wrangler Alt. figure (because I'm not about to go raping the ones I have of their parts) and then a few bucks for the right paint
If I only I were able to shit money. Maybe they sell a pill for that. I'd better ask Sarah...

Funny how you word it, Ktulu. I never asked for the toy, I just compared it to my favorite car and you VOLUNTEERED to buy it for me. Not that I took you seriously but in an IM exchange you INSISTED on doing so after I let you know it was nothing that you couldn't buy the thing. I'm bigger than Transformers man, WAY BIGGER.

In the thread you seemed to express interest in the figure, I thought maybe I could help and on it went, I tried to get one but ended up not being able to because of money. That figure was also getting scarce at that point. I discussed this with you in PM and apologized and everything. You say it's no big deal it couldn't work out - but you throw it in my face regardless? It's been a long ass time too. You say you're so much "bigger" than this but you're still petty enough to take a shot at me over something supposedly already resolved long ago? And don't pull any "I was kidding" type shit, it was a shitty low blow in complete poor taste.
Also - in my last post all I said you wanted me to buy it for you. You did want the thing. You're acting as if you never wanted it and I had some crazy idea to get the thing for you against your wishes? If you didn't want it, if you didn't seem interested, I wouldn't have pushed it on you! Why the hell would I care that much? I just wanted to help you out, but unfortunately couldn't in the end. Still - What I said is correct. You wanted it. I didn't exaggerate or word it some crafty way or whatever.

To me this is all some stupid misunderstanding. A smiley face at the end of that sentance would've cleared things up quite a bit because It was not meant to be serious. It would've been cool to see you fire back something cleverly bitter so you could see the light hearted mood I'm in today. This damn linear communication crap.
I felt uncomfortable sending you my address n' all that man. I kinda knew I'd never get my cybertronian chevy chevele..
HOW DO YOU KNOW
Anything beyond my letting you know it was a misunderstanding should be forgotten unless it's YOU GUYS who harbor dusty ass feelings about the past (I still do, of sorts). Anyway, i'm sure you guys would cut some other person slack. To me this is petty and I wasn't hurt that I didnt get my TF, I figured from the beginning it was a Mr. Fantastic (stretch). I also figured that you guys would be surprised to see me post again after a some time and you'd deduce that I wasn't here again for the first time for beef (I don't eat red meat).
I remember the last convo about the toy, Ktulu and I remember stating that it was ok if you weren't able to get it for me after you mentioned your money woes. You insisted on keeping your word which I to this day respect because of the sentiments involved. You actualy thought about my desire for a chevy chevel-esch transformer, when the usual random internet persona would be on to the next post.
If anything I hope this thread goes on as long as you want it to, I wouldn't read about Transformers anywhere else. I wouldn't come in here with intentions of poopery, Ktulu.
I HOLD NO ILL WILL. But of course, ill will is still here, even after my hiatus (TK). Wtf

Skinny legs, low shoulders (and arms correspondingly) - eh, not feeling it a whole lot.
I don't know. It looks better than a lot that I've seen. Even if the proportions are goofy, they're consistent. And it certainly retains the flavor of the show's art pretty well.

New IMAX scenes revealed - different from the deleted scenes I linked to earlier....but just as bad
from beatrush at TFW2005:
"I just got back from an advanced screening of the Imax Transformers.
We still do not know the fate of Barricade
We do not see any new footage of any battles
First additional Scene is Sam picking up his friend who climbed the tree in the park. He makes fun of sam's car about being yellow.
Second additional scene is at the police station when sam gets arrested and they make him watch a video about what drugs do to your brain. The video is amusing but nothing great
Third additional scene has the agent from Section 7 makes Sam take a test to see if he is lying inside the van by making him look into a device to see his pupils dialate.
Fourth additional scene is where the sector 7 agent tells the group about a room where he likes to meditate in (the part before they see the all spark cube)
Fifth additional scene is where one of the army guys goes into a pawn shop and tries to pawn his watch to get the shortwave radios
There may have been something new in the credits but I didnt think about checking until I left.
So yeah."
Holy...
fucking...
LAME
Considering this stuff and the other deleted scenes we know of - plus all the stuff that MADE it that was pointless - I can't believe that much useless shit was actually filmed.

And my most favorite Decepticon is.....
BLUDGEON
A ferocious warrior who is skilled at the ancient Cybertronian martial art known as metallikato.
Following the battle with Unicron (and Scorponok's death), he found himself in a position of influence and worked his way into becoming a key member of the Autobot-Decepticon alliance. From there, he managed to become Decepticon leader and inspired them to turn away from the alliance and back towards conquest. He left the Autobots to die and invaded the peaceful world of Klo, causing a bloodbath, and when the Autobots tried to stop him, he ambushed and exterminated them. If not for the intervention of Optimus Prime and the Last Autobot, he would've won the war in that single battle; instead, he had the Decepticons retreat to regroup.
This decepticon was more thorough than Megatron in my opinion, along with Ratbat (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ratbat) who was also a more successful leader.
Lunchbox McGillicuddy
09-25-2007, 06:12 PM
Poor Bludgeon has never had a good toy. The G1 Pretender looked pretty bland (and didn't even come with his sword!) and then he got a G2 Megatron repaint that totally ignored the outer shell aside from the colors, and was also impossible to find as a KB exclusive. Whoop de doo

Yeah, I already saw the '08 Cliffjumper at tfw2005. I wanted to paint BB to look more "authentic" just to test my painting and creative skills since I haven't painted in years.
I actually have a total of 3 now - one is open to play with, one for custom paint job and one to keep in package. I'm pretty sure some of these collectors shouldn't have a problem finding him anymore though. I understand the value of collecting and think the whole price hike on ebay is pretty messed up, but more power to 'em, so I'd be glad to help out without looking for profit, but I don't get paid again until next friday so budget wise, I technically only have enough for 1 more. If any of you guys want one let me know.

Sackboy
09-26-2007, 11:44 PM
Jin Saotome would be a great reference. But there's 2 things I want to do different: the eyes and car body paint. I want to give it that deep yellow metalic finish like a real car.
Lunchbox McGillicuddy
09-26-2007, 11:58 PM
I've never gotten heavily into customizing and all so I don't know what the best paint is or anything like that so I've got no real advice. I do know you'll probably be sealing it after you're done, and will more than likely have to take it apart before you start. I'd look on the Transtopia (tfmaster.com) boards for in depth stuff.
In Japan, they have a metallic finish exclusive, rare as hell, of the 70s BB and it really looks a lot nicer, though not quite like a real car. Still, with that and the clear windows, it's pretty spiffy.

I ended up using that extra $10 and got the Evolution of a Hero Bumblebee 2 pack. Now I have 2 '74 Camaro Bumblebees and 4 '08 concept Camaro Bumblebees. I still need to do my custom paint job. I may never do it since I still haven't done the custom paint job on Hotrod. Check out my nice glamor shot I took. Now I can update my tfw2005 forum signature from this...

Cool stuff
I got my 2-disc set from Best Buy, where you get two Robot Heroes PVCs with it, and the first few in the store got a free Megatron lithograph with it - so I figured the extra 10 was reasonable with those things added. I think of all the store exclusives they had the best deal going - even though I despise the store

I'm thinking we should do a RUMBLE or something, even though only a few people would be voting. We need SOMETHING to make the thread interesting for "everyone" again
As soon as info starts coming out about the next wave of classics...

It was easier then I thought it would be. I only had to mix silver and black to get that darker metalic color and yellow with some red to get that chedder cheese color for the head and inside doors. Silver, gold and bronze were also used for some of the accents. Having the movie, several pictures of the full size Bumblebee prop and the car, all it took was a hand full of modeling paints and a few brushes. Took about 2 hours. Tomorrow in the daylight I'll take more pics next to the original version.

I've had several shirts I got from Hot Topic have really, really bad screenprinting? Like it chips and flakes after I wear it a few times. :(

I SEE
I have one shirt from there, a Batman one, and it's only 'cause my mom offered to buy it since she felt bad for going in there and buying a ton of Harry Potter shit for herself. It's held up well, but I'm pretty against the whole $20 t-shirt thing, especially when a good bit of them show up later at Wal-Mart for only $7-$10. A lot of the Marvel comic ones and such have at any rate.

I get most of my superhero type shirts from the boy's section of either Walmart or the Salvation army, because they fit me better than men's stuff and because they don't make many superhero shirts for da ladies. :(

I've had them every place I've lived, but I've only been in the Northeast and Midwest. I will check and see if they have them in Georgia now!
Okay, they have stores in Brunswick, Athens, and Savannah? Not sure how close any of those are to you.
If one is close though, it's worth checking out. They were originally just a sportswear store, but now they sell all sorts of clothing, including superhero stuff, and it's all really cheap. I have jeans from there I paid $4 for.

Those cities are all pretty far. From my home town - Brunswick is 225 miles away, Savannah is 170 miles away, and Athens is around 95 miles away :( From Atlanta, they're all even further.
It's not too bad I guess but it seems like a long way to go just for clothes.

"Anime Accurate"
When used to describe G1 show colors - does this bother anyone else?
The original Transformers cartoon is not anime. The episodes were all written, produced, and had the initial performances recorded in the US. The concept itself, while based on Japanese toys, was from a US toy and comic company.
The Japanese version of the show is actually just a dub of the US one!
It's always bugged me when people say "anime accurate" when talking about G1 character toys or whatever, and now it's popping up again to describe the Japanese releases of the Classics line, which are going to have more show-accurate colors.
I've had a problem with it ever since I saw the old G1 Rhino box sets always stocked in the anime sections of retail stores. Those didn't belong there. They should've been in the "family" section like GI Joe and such.
I know it's a small thing to get annoyed by - but it bugs me all the same
I remember seeing it before and thinking, "hah! those fools are saying inaccurate stuff that isn't true!" but it didn't really bother me.

The G1 toy is a real gem in the line, being a nice Veritech fighter from Macross and all, and the character on the show Skyfire was cool for being a robot that switched sides, and was kind of the biggest guy for a while, but they dropped him pretty quick :(
The Classics toy being a great mix of the cartoon and toy looks from G1, as well as being really close to the current IDW comic design, with crazy amounts of detail and the great play value from the removable armor and all...don't know, it just feels like one of the stand out toys from the last few years

The main focus was on the human characters. Story took a while to kick in, but it should of been more or less focused on the transformers themselves, wasn't a fan of how easily Megatron was brought down. I can pick out every flaw I see but it wont help, I liked and disliked.

Haaaaaay TF2's script won't be finished before the writer's strike so that 2009 release date might be pushed back.
Prime's voice right at the beginning is like WHAT?!?!? But, later in the clip it seems to have the effect over it and it didn't bother me hardly at all.
I see no reason I wouldn't enjoy it as long as it is written well.
Megs popping up beside Prime all like "SUP?" made me lol and go "oh noes" at the same time.
Lunchbox McGillicuddy

I'm not honestly sure if that IS Prime's voice in the beginning.

This video has me so incredibly depressed. I was shocked when I heard that new rendition of the classic theme. It is REALLY cool.
I just hate everything about how it looks. Who actually thinks it is cool to draw a robot with a waiste about 1 inch wide? Do people actually like this look?
If only this series didn't look like crap I'd be really excited about it. I am going to go cry now.
What would your top 10 Optimus toys be?
Top 10 TFs in general?
I'm not sure if I have 10 different Optimii.
1. Movie Prime
2. Powermaster Prime
3. G1, Diaclone Prime. The original.
Those are the ones I remember off the top of my head. Besides the flimsiness (sp?) of G1's trailer, I don't have a huge problem with it. Losing the hands was always a constant threat, though. I really loved Powermaster for a long time. He was just so much more sturdy than the OG. Movie Prime really did capture my heart, though. He's big, solid, and rather stylish in alt mode. He's imposing in robot mode, to boot. When he was sitting right beside my comp, it was like WOW, you're a big boy, aren't ya?
Top 10 TFs? Toys or characters? As far as both, I know my Top 5. I'll flesh it out when the criteria is made more clear. I'll also leave combiners/gestalts to a seperate list.
1. Roddy
2. Blaster
3. Jazz
4. Starscream
5. Astrotrain
Probably more than a little obvious throwing Starscream in there :p If we're talking characters, Springer is in second half, for sure. I was never exactly impressed with the toy. Same for Kup.

URUHURUH
If I had to pick my top 10 Op toys, excluding Primals and Japanese stuff:
10. Armada Optimus Prime (Leader Class) (
http://bwtf.com/armada/toys/reviews/prime/images.shtml)
A design I'm very fond of, with a very G2 Laser-Prime esque transformation from truck to robot, and a cool G1 esque trailer that transforms into a mini-con base. The combination of the trailer and the cab into the super robot however is where it goes south. You basically get a very ugly robot that has absolutely no articulation below the waist, and it barely stays together. It can also combine with Jetfire (

) and Overload (

) from the same line to form an even bigger and crappier robot. I appreciate the playability given the multiple different modes, the automatic transforming trailer despite me never using it, and all of the mini-con ports, and I like the homages such as the sculpted in matrix, but overall, the toy falls flat given how much they tried to squeeze into there.
9. 2007 Movie Optimus Prime (Leader Class) (

)
I don't like the design of the robot mode very much, and the proportions seem off, such as his gigantic arms and legs that are barely any longer than the torso. Something just feels off. I'm also upset that they couldn't have given him waist articulation somehow. Another mark hurting him is some pretty nasty kibble on the back. Overall he is a good representation of the movie character though, and the toy is ultimately well made, whether you like the design or not, with a fair amount of articulation, detail such as the riveting, and a very nice vehicle mode.
To be honest, I'm mostly throwing it in to be fair. It certainly is better made than my number 10 pick, and has better sculpting than some I'm ranking higher, so it wouldn't be right to just ignore it.
8. Energon Optimus Prime (Leader Class) (
http://tfkenkon.com/collection/act178/)
A great design with a lot of homage to G1 Prime, and Powermaster Prime's head in super mode, hampered by it's gimmicks. The regular robot mode comes across as "fat" due to the toy being made to cater to the power-linking gimmick where it combines with 4 drones to create a larger robot. The larger robot, while a cool design, has a really crazy color scheme since the limbs are all different colors, and almost has a Power Ranger feel if you ignore the Powermaster Prime head and the Autobot insignias. The truck mode has a very similar transformation to G1 Prime, and has a nice futuristic design, but the way the arms just sit there on the back has always bugged me. The trailer this time is a mere static piece with docking stations for the 4 drones, and is pretty hard to get used to, but I do like that they went a different way with the design. The toy's value is upped tremendously however if you have the Omega Supreme (
http://tfkenkon.com/collection/act231/), and especially the Wing Saber toys (
http://tfkenkon.com/collection/act238/), which Prime can powerlink with, adding tons more play value, and in the case of the Wing Saber combinations (
http://tfkenkon.com/collection/act239/), two of the coolest looking Prime designs yet. Nice toy overall, only hurt by the gimmick, which is interestingly also it's saving grace.
7. G2 Laser Prime (
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a243/HostedByChrist/oldphotobucket/laserprime.gif)
Great mold, gave us one of the greatest TF repaints ever (RiD Scourge/Car Robots Black Convoy), stepped outside of some of the "rules" and gave us a long-nosed Prime, and one of the earliest TFs with actual good articulation, helping pave the way to more articulated lines in the future. Has wonderful playability what with the transforming trailer into a battle station brimming with the 90s "blow the fuck out of em" macho attitude and the light up features, as well as cool accessories like the big honkin' sword. This would be in the top 5, I love it that much, however, the lackluster colors, and the giant rendition of Optimus and his name emblazoned across the vehicle mode, totally ignoring the "Robots in Disguise" ideal, really hurt the toy.
6. Powermaster Optimus Prime (Reissue) (
http://www.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Hasbro/Transformers/G1/PmPrime/)
Actually an American release of the Japanese God Ginrai reissue toy from Transformers: Masterforce rather than an actual PM Prime, different in that it sports retractable blue fists in super robot mode, diecast parts, clear blue windows, darker grey, and the extra Godbomber trailer/robot, now named Apex Bomber, for combination into a larger robot, God Ginrai, or Powermaster Prime w/ Apex Armor. The Japanese version of this toy was far, far better than the US one, and as such, this US reissue is the quintessential version to have, in terms of Hasbro releases. The original Hasbro version (
http://www.tfu.info/1988/Autobot/OptimusPrime/optmiusprime.htm), while still good, and full of nostalgia, just doesn't hold up as well and looks like a cheaper KO of the Japanese one. The toy has a lot of play value, has the nostalgiac draw that all G1 toys have, and just looks fucking cool sitting on your shelf. Will always be considered one of the best Prime toys ever.
5. Robots in Disguise Optimus Prime (
http://seibertron.com/toys/gallery.php?id=496&size=0&start=0)
Ushering in the grand return of vehicle Transformers, RiD Prime/Fire Convoy is the epitome of the 2000/2001 Car Robots/RiD line. A fairly accurate rendition of a Japanese style firetruck, with rubber tires, that turns into an incredibly articulated and stylishly designed robot. This toy also features the "trailer turns into a battle station" design point that all Primes up to that point were known for, and for the second time since Powermaster Prime, it can also be used as super-mode armor for the standard robot. Amazingly however, the super mode robot still looks great, and retains a wonderful range of articulation. The only complaint is that he has a rather shrimpy gun, though in super mode I suppose this is well made up for with the gigantic fire-truck ladder cannon which can be displayed as shoulder mounted. Again like Powermaster Prime, this toy can form an even larger robot, combining with RiD Ultra Magnus into Omega Prime, or Godfire Convoy in Japan. This is an absolute giant of a toy with an intricate design with actual thought put into it rather than them just slapping on parts here and there, and yes, it maintains poseability! So, this toy really has it all. Play value, detail, articulation, show-accurate looks, style, nostalgia, and did I say play value?
4. Optimus Prime (
http://www.tfu.info/1984/Autobot/OptimusPrime/optimusprime.htm)
The 1984 original, the classic design we all know and love. As a first wave G1 toy, originating even earlier from the Diaclone line, of course it doesn't have the modern day engineering today's TFs have the privilege of having, but all the same, it remains one of the best G1 toys out there, and certainly a must have for any Transformer fan, especially if you love Optimus. The toy still looks properly like the character from the show and comics, something that simply can't be said of many of the other early G1 toys. It has a very nice, realistic vehicle mode, with the classic transforming trailer which adds a whole other dimension of play value, a big deal seeing as how in 1984, a truck turning into a robot alone was gigantic play value in itself. The robot mode even has decent articulation, with arms that can move up/down, bending elbows, bending knees, and swiveling wrists. If only the legs could move forward, there'd really be no reason to complain. It has plentiful accessories, 3 different modes, adequate sculpting, and nostalgia up the ass. Plus, with all the reissues, it's pretty easy for everyone to own at least one version of him. Marvelous toy.
3. Classics Optimus Prime (Voyager Class) (
http://seibertron.com/toys/gallery.php?id=929&size=0&start=0)
A wonderful modern re-imaging of G1 Prime, with a very stylish vehicle mode and a great robot design from TF superstar artist Don Figueroa. This guy keeps it simple, there's no real gimmicks, it's just a pure Transformer, and it's one of the best. Detail, articulation, weaponry that stores away in vehicle mode, homage to G1, it's all there. It's well made and it just looks wonderful. It's the sort of toy that you just don't wanna put down. It's simplicity gives it a lack of play value compared to other Primes, and it does have some slight kibble, neither of which actually bother me, but they become more important when trying to rank them. This toy is a real gem though, and it's certainly one I highly recommend above most others, particularly when considering it's low price in comparison to other Prime figures.
2. Cybertron Optimus Prime (Leader Class) (
http://seibertron.com/toys/gallery.php?id=579&size=0&start=0)
One of the most current, and as such, best sculpted and designed Primes ever released, with a brilliantly stylized design that seems so classic and yet so modern all at the same time. It has all the elements of a great Prime and Transformer in general- size, play value through various different modes and interaction with other toys in the line, sculpting, show accuracy, articulation, etc. The truck, a futuristic firetruck of sorts, has two different modes, one regular and one flying mode. It feels a little useless, but it does add play value, and as a kids toy, that's important. Of course, the back separates from the main cab and becomes a gunnery station of sorts for the main robot, formed naturally by the disconnected cab. The robot has all the right elements, but with plenty of twists to make it unique, such as the Optimus Primal-esque face design. The two halves, big surprise, combine together into a larger robot, and this mode is really the star of the show. It's a gorgeous design, very reminiscent of both Star Convoy and God Ginrai, with a design that screams "G1 Prime on crack" and a large wingspan with giant fucking cannons. This can combine further with Leobreaker for a strange, giant techno-organic arm, which is odd yet cool, and Wing Saber for an armor and weapons upgrade. This is my favorite Prime in terms of design, and yeah, it's got all those essential elements down. The execution though, naturally, isn't quite as good as the king of all Prime toys...
which is of course, as you expected.......

OK YEAH I'M JOKING
The number 1 Prime toy has to be, without question...
20th Anniversary Optimus Prime (
http://seibertron.com/toys/gallery.php?id=1153&size=0&start=0)
The quintessential representation of the classic Optimus design, with incredibly intricate engineering to give the best possible transformation from the original truck mode into a cartoon/comic accurate robot mode. Greatly sculpted and detailed, with a wide range of accessories, massive size, brilliant articulation, and die-cast construction. A somewhat expensive toy, but when you have it, you know it was worth every damn penny. It shouldn't even be in the same category as other TF toys. This just trumps them all. The absolute only complaint are two very small things - 1, this US release has short, tiny smokestacks for safety hazard reasons, and 2, it has some smudged paint "battle damage", which many people find tacky. Despite these things though, overall I'd say the toy is damn near perfect, and even the other MP toys so far have not even matched this guy in terms of greatness. If you were to only have ONE Transformer toy, this would have to be it.
HONORABLE MENTIONS:
1 - Armada Optimus Prime (Super-Con/Deluxe Class) (
http://www.tfu.info/2002/Autobot/SuperConPrime/optimusprime.htm)
A much nicer rendition of the standard Optimus from Armada than the leader class, with good sculpting and articulation, but feels overall slightly less iconic than the other ten toys on the list, and doesn't have as much play value, mostly due to the tiny size. It is really cool though, and is basically a Targetmaster, which enhances even further the great feeling of homage.
2 - G2 "Hero" Optimus Prime (
http://www.tfu.info/1994/Autobot/OptimusPrime/optimusprime.htm)
Like Laser Prime, another Prime that steps outside the box a bit, with a very unique transformation and colors. This was also the best articulated Optimus at the time of it's release. The odd colors and air-pump missile gimmick hurt it though, but I do love the toy dearly.
3 - 2007 Movie Optimus Prime (Voyager Class) (
http://seibertron.com/toys/gallery.php?id=1154&size=0&start=0)
Nicely sculpted and articulated toy, with better proportions than the leader class. I also like the dual guns. It does however have a giant truck hood sticking on it's back though, and the toy overall is not quite as good a representation of the movie design as the Leader version. Not an essential toy, but fairly well done, and it's good for the TF fan on a budget.
4 - Alternators Optimus Prime (
http://seibertron.com/toys/gallery.php?id=898&size=0&start=0)
Part of the great Alternators line, meaning it has a great, realistic vehicle, but, in terms of robot mode, it's really one of the worst Alternators. It looks good, with a great head sculpt, but it's engineering makes it rather odd to actually pose. For instance, the knees seem to be half way up the thigh. The toy is also kind of floppy, and a pain to transform. There are also some painting issues. In many places, such as the waist piece, the legs, and the shoulders, it just looks too plain. It's almost a really great toy, but it's problems rack up easily. It was also horribly difficult to find, which is ridiculous for the most iconic Transformer character ever. Too many cons on this one for it to make the top ten.
5 - Titanium RiD Prime (
http://seibertron.com/toys/gallery.php?id=1105&size=0&start=0)
Designed/Engineered so that the vehicle mode transforms directly into the super mode, a neat idea, and one of the better made Titaniums. It still pales in comparison to the actual RiD Prime though. If you have that one, you don't need this one, and it doesn't work the other way around at all.
That is like more Primes than I knew existed o_O

I GO CHECK EBAY
it looks to be cheaper one i think this one
i go look for megatron
also still have my g1 hun gurr i just checked i know i have it but don't remember my mogaetron
Okay. Top 10 toys. Remember please that most of my toys are G1 and I was really young at the time. So, don't be surprised that I'm talking more with my heart than my head. You've been warned :o
#10 Movie Jazz
It really is rather shoddy. Transforming the arms involves sliding the pieces down a connector. Normal, right? No, you have to drag it so it pops out and pops into the next hole down the line. This is why I don't transform him much. He looks nice, though. Much better than the G1 Jazz I had as a kid. I think so, anyway.
#9 Snapdragon
I remember being enamored with his opening hatch :) I loved his jet alt mode, even if it looks plain looking at it now. He was better than Apeface, at any rate :p
#8 Classics Rodimus
This is a beautifully designed toy. Easily the least amount of robot kibble I have ever seen on a TF toy in alt mode. This is the last Transformer I bought, but it is just that cool to me. It doesn't hurt that it is Roddy.
#7 Seawing
This guy is representing the Seacons and Pirahnacon. I love the colors, I love the gestalt. He was the first Seacon I got and is still my favorite.
#6 Scattershot
To represent Computron and the Technobots, we actually have a gestalt leader this time. The spring-loaded nosecone is ICING. It seems that I like this general shape for aircraft. Hmm. I never noticed that connection before. Oh well, Computron is my favorite Autobot combiner and quite honestly is the only one I give two bits about. Decepticons ALWAYS had the better gestalts.
#5 G1 Hot Rod
"Dare! Dare to keep all your dreams alive....."
#4 Motormaster
His own team may hate him, but I absolutely adore him. I had to go to my aunt's wedding when I was way too young to be going to a wedding. I was given the entirety of Menasor as an appeasement gift. It didn't work, I cried the whole time. I was clutching Motormaster, however. So, it was a good day for ME :p
#3 Astrotrain
I'm surprised I never used this one to kill Col. Mustard in the dining room. Or knock out my friends (one of whom now appropriately calls himself Col. Catsup). I seem to recall him being very heavy, obviously. I still have him, I just haven't laid hands on him in a good number of years. You always got more bang for your buck with triple changers, and he was the BEST of the lot.
#2 Blaster
I used to carry this guy around like a lunchbox. I mean EVERYWHERE. He still resides on the shelf over my desk and he will live there for all eternity. I couldn't do it without you Blaster, I couldn't do it without you.
#1 G1 Rodimus Prime
I know the toy is horribly simple, and held by some to be simply horrible. But, at the end of the day, I love Roddy and every toy of his that I have ever owned. Matt from X-E talks about this toy in a way that makes it sound akin to the holy grail. And, do you know what? He's right. You keep your Fort Maxes and Optimus Primes. I'll ride out the storm with my Judd Nelson action figure.
He's HARSH.
Lunchbox McGillicuddy
11-04-2007, 08:32 PM
Certainly some interesting choices. G1 Rodimus is one of my least favorite toys and is commonly lamented so it's weird seeing him be someone's favorite, but I guess that's cool!
One time at a family gathering when I was really little, some distant cousin or something brought over their Blaster. It was just sitting on a table in it's alt mode. I literally gasped out loud at the sight of it, haha. I was afraid to touch it though, being very deep in the "don't touch what isn't yours" upbringing and all.
I wish I had one.

They looked to have been simpler in terms of parts and sculpting so it doesn't surprise me
Even the current Machine Robo toys, the line Gobots came from, are really simply produced. They don't look modern at all. Not saying it's a bad thing, but it'd certainly lead to them not costing as much to make, thus not costing as much to buy.

I don't remember exactly which one it was, I just know I got with some of my Christmas money way back when. It was a normal sized T-Rex transforming one, I'm pretty sure that it was an earlier model and I know it didn't do any advanced special junk like turn into a Ninja Turtle or that sort of thing.
Though somewhere I have just about the entire collection of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toys. And a lot of the old Transformers toys too since I remember seeing them as Pic n' Save once really cheap and my dad bought me a whole bunch because I was a big fan. Though, I'm sure it was just for one series... and I don't remember which... and they are all in a box... and they are...
I battled with them and Ninja Turtles.
