And it looks like we have...
GP Toss/Coin/Spare Change - 10
Mix - 7
Better battle than I thought, but the coin toss ability types were the top favorites here. On to the second round with them.
Next up:
Boost - Final Fantasy VIII and IX (An ability that allows you to up the strength of your summons. In VIII, you tapped to boost the strength, but you had to be careful not to tap too quickly. In IX, it was just an equippable ability, but didn't require any special controlling.)
vs.
Quick Hit - Final Fantasy X (Kinda like Haste, allowed for faster attacking. Available on Tidus's portion of the Sphere Grid.)
Hmmm. Kinda hard.
Quick Hit. Nemesis you can't touch me, nany nany boo boo *raspberry noise*

Pretty good battle. Boost takes it by a few votes. And next...
Devour - Final Fantasy VIII (Devours an enemy. Affect can be anything from harming your characters to gaining a stat-boosting item. Must weaken the enemy to Devour. Screen displayed while using reads "Censored... please stand by...)
vs.
Random Reels - Final Fantasy X-2 (Function of the Lady Luck dressphere, learnable ability. Determines a random attack based on how the slots line up. Can be anything from a weak attack or something that might even harm your characters, to powerful maneuvers such as Cry in the Night, or CONGRATS! This ability is manipulable with Pause/X, lining up three reels for CONGRATS! [possible to master with a bit of practice] bribes the enemy to go away and gives you bonus gil.)

Abstain, because I can't vote for X-2 abilities in good faith, and I'm sure it is cooler than Pray.
Ceidwad
01-17-2008, 03:55 PM
Fireworks was generally the more useful, though Pray wasn't entirely useless as some may think. For example, it's a great way of boosting Yuna's overdrive if she's set to Healer, as it gains three times the charge of a spell that targets just one ally.

Mug/Steal - Most FFs
Jump - Many FFs
GP Toss/Coin/Spare Change - Many FFs

It is the ultimate WIN for FFX since you can't possibly die or be defeated after beating Braska's Final Aeon!

Let's end this...
Auto-Life / Reraise - 14
Sneak Attack - 1
Wow, all right. Well, except that that "rouge" (or was it rogue) vote, Auto-Life is the unanimous choice. Next battle may be a bit less one-sided. It's...
Mug/Steal - Most FFs
vs.
Shock - Final Fantasy IX

Steal has never been one of my favorites, so I'll go with Shock FFIX. If memory serves me right, I really liked it.

Right, sorry for the delay on this. Been having some technology issues that have been driving me to distraction. Should be good to go now.
