Even though I hear it a lot at the beginning of the game during the staged fight against Blank (mostly for a completionist reason), I never grew tired of it.

I always thought that Nobuo toped his composition skills during the OST of FFVIII. FFIX, while being memorable, isn't nearly as good as FFVIII's OST to me. And when I listened to both of these tracks before voting, it still reminded it to me.

Hunters Chance by all the miles from here to Jupiter.

In fact, there's gonna have to be an FFIX vs. FFIX battle at some point. So far, FFIX is one down in this round, let's see whether or not it becomes a trend.

Trendsetters for Cid's Theme!

An excess of FFIX tracks are contending against each other so late in the competition because it's the the most beloved Final Fantasy for the majority of FFS, from what I've gathered, and sad to say, I'm starting to get the impression that favoritism for the game as a whole is eclipsing judgement of the track itself on its own merit. This is not only limited to FFIX either, for certain members.

To some of you, perhaps I'm being precarious, though I've pored over the first General Final Fantasy Rumble thread in the Archives section months prior, and even back then, it's the same story, with an overabundance of Final Fantasy IX-related choices reaching the quarterfinals, regardless of the pertinence of a particular rumble at the time.

It's not a complaint, as it's merely observance of the inclination I'm addressing.

I'd also like to add that I'm still confounded over the fact that Unforgettable Silhouette defeated Terra's Theme, and was surprised it came as close as it did when vying against Liberi Fatali.

Predictability came into play, once again, with the overwhelming FFIX support, yet, concerning a number of outcomes, it's been one of the more "whoa-inducing" rumbles I've taken part in.

EDIT: I'm well aware, Hynad. Too aware.

Everyone must be associating the song with the hype over how awesome the graphics in FFVIII were when it first came out. FAIL.

What nutcases. I feel like that game editor who was described as loathing final fantasy VIII, to the point of unemployment and complaining about it with druggies and prostitutes on the street until being rehired for critique knowledge, in a recent issue of some gaming magazine...it's front cover was all about some cave-babe beast-riding game.
