Aladdin's (Disney) CD soundtrack (along with most Disney soundtracks from the 90's) sucks because of its disgusting use of reverb. It sounds like the performers are underwater. Could someone please rip the blu-ray, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 (48kHz, 24-bit) English audio track to FLAC? This should be the best version available.

Aladdin Blu-ray (United Kingdom) (http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Aladdin-Blu-ray/37383/)

One large FLAC file for the entire movie would be perfect.

So... I'm back after being banned, again. I got banned for voicing my opinion on an open forum. Said something about one of the powers that be, and it didn't go down very well so I got banned! So, I put it to all of you. Some "johnny come lately" troll from another site, comes over here, downloads all the files that he can get his hands on, and turns around and reuploads them on his own file storage site, and then posts them back on the same site he got them from, but they are remixed, duplicated tracks, and different covers, etc. and says not one word of thanks to the original poster, grabbing credits all over the place, making him the big man on campus. What do all of you think about that?
I know several people here who have complained about this very same situation, and have deleted their links, because their files were stolen in this same manner, and posted on other sites without giving the original uploader credit, but this is a different problem.
Tell me what you think, and do it fast before I get banned again, because I am "starting trouble"

Amanda

I dislike it, but unfortunately they are not breaking any major rules. They ARE supposed to post their archive in the original thread as mirrors, but do not. I often find stuff from soulseek to post here. I am butthurt about my tv rips and edits being posted elsewhere, even more so the custom art by the good folks here. I feel it is not very classy. But again, aside from posting in the original thread, no broken rules. I have neen told by admin that the more link options the better.

The other site belongs to one of the ones doing this the most, so complaining there is pointless. When contacted privately here there has never been a response, and in public it is just "share the free music, man". Sooo...yea.

BABY'S DAY OUT (Promo score by Bruce Broughton) (lossless/FLAC)

Here is Broughton's fun music to the 1994 live-action cartoon "Baby's Day Out." The music was recorded, but a soundtrack release was cancelled when the film bombed horribly at the box office, so 20th Century Fox distributed it as a promo instead. 17 tracks in great stereo sound.

In Pursuit of Honor & Class of '61 (promo with music by John Debney) (lossless/FLAC)

Class of '61 (referring to 1861) follows a group of comrades who end up taking opposing sides in the American Civil War, while In Pursuit of Honor is about a group of compassionate military men who refuse to shoot hundreds of horses, pitting them up against their own commanders. For both of these emotional TV movies, Debney provided appropriately patriotic and stirring music. 30 tracks on a Prometheus promo.

just a general note, which I am not sure where to post. On the 18th I will be having a bit of minor surgery. I need to be off of several meds in preparation. It will be much harder for me to breath and other things (like remaining coherent and civil), plus I may a bit out it after the thing is done. As a result, though I may pop in now and then I will not be taking or filling requests for the time being. I know, many will either not not read this, or will just ignore it. I am sorry, please do not take my lack of response personally. I will try to save all requests and get to them depending on how I feel. As a consolation, my ipod is filled with all of your gorgeous gifts, so many of my friends will be with me in spirit for my overnight stay.

Thank you for your understanding.

PS: It is a relatively minor thing, and the overnight stay is just to avoid any diabetes complications since I live alone. Nothing to worry about.

I've got another rare request that's bound to be a "hit" around these parts...

I just saw a film on Netflix called The Naked Man (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Naked_Man_(film)). There were two songs written for the film (a very quirky dark comedy, co-written by Ethan Coen) that were never released in soundtrack or any other form. Searching for them online proves futile. I would rip them from the end credits, but alas I am not adept at ripping audio streams from Netflix. I guess you can file these under Never To Be Fulfilled Requests:

"Baby, I Need Your Number" by Danny Wilde
"Expelled" by Delbert McClinton

Any help in tracking down these fugitives will prove invaluable.

Edit: Bad timing...

They did the original biopsy last year, and left a little clip inside to find the exact area. Yesterday they inserted a wire into the area, then in the afternoon, they put me under, made an incision and took out the material and clip. It is an outpatient thing. I can have anesthesia complications, and excessive bleeding. But I woke up ok and the surgeon cauterized the bleeding so I am good to go. It hurts like hell, but they sent me home in a cab and all is relatively well.

Hey guys,

Needing a bit of help finding some music off the film "Blood and Bone" (2009) starring Michael Jai White.

There's a particular scene, a house party of some sort, where it's got some hip-hop/rap playing in the background, with the lyrics hard to make out. So far I can definitely hear "We just haven't had a good time..." but that's about it.

To make things harder the official soundtrack was never released and the credits aren't of any use.

Here's a link to the scene if you're curious (skip to 6:53) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJFwA3u5msE

Really would appreciate the detective work guys,

Thanks,

Does anyone have the complete score to Mark Mancina's awesome 90s action music to Bad Boys, and not the one LaLaLand Record released a while back.

Note: It's not ripped from the DVD Isolated Score section

James P.Sullivan
08-19-2014, 03:16 PM
Speaking of Mancina, I (finally!) watched the first Planes yesterday, after listening to the score for a whole year. The movie wasn't quite as good as I'd hoped it to be, but I didn't have high hopes to begin with, as it's made by DisneyToon Studios, but anyway, what really annoyed me was that the score was SO quiet!! I particularly noticed it near the beginning with "Last Contestant". That is one fantastic cue, but in the scene in the movie it was barely audible. Guess that's what comes of listening to the score for so long before watching the film...

I also know that there's a great soundtrack out there for Six Days Seven Nights, but it bugs me that some of the score didn't make it onto the official OST CD.
http://www.amazon.com/Six-Days-Seven-Nights-Soundtrack/dp/B000007O8H

For example, there's some background score that plays right after the scene where Harrison Ford removes the snake from Anne Heche's pants, kind of an upbeat, carribbean, jungle-esque theme that I'd love to have.

Another example would be the music/score that plays when the couple first escape the pirates down the hill and again when they're attempting to take off after having fixed Ford's plane. It's a shame that part of the score didn't make it onto the official album. Those two pieces of score were my favorites from the film, of course.

The Land Before Time V (Michael Tavera) - http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/land-before-time-v-mysterious-island-promo-79303/#post1531845 - I've dug around for this quite a bit, but haven't been able to find any links. Hopefully somebody still has it here.
The Rookie (Complete Score) (Carter Burwell) - http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/film-score-vgm-hunt-thread-40522/918.html#post1465413 I found a tracklisting on another site, but it ultimately linked to the same dead hotfile link.

CALL OF THE WILD (Promo with music by Lee Holdridge) (lossless/flac)

For this 1992 TV adaptation of the classic Jack London novel about a young boy's search for Yukon gold, Lee Holdridge wrote a wonderful action-adventure score. Never commercially released, but issued as a promo on the Prometheus label.

This is probably a futile request, but I am seeking the FYC Promo for the score of The Station Agent, by composer Stephen Trask.

It seems that there was never an official score released. If anyone has this, would they be so kind as to provide me a download link? Again, I realize this is a long shot. Would prefer FLAC or 320, but am not going to be picky. Anything would be wonderful.

Thanks in advance!! Cheers!

If anyone could get the complete scores/recording sessions to any of the following they would be godlike:
21 Jump Street - Mark Mothersbaugh
22 Jump Street - Mark Mothersbaugh
Pacific Rim - Ramin Djawadi
Captain America: The Winter Soldier - Henry Jackman
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Hans Zimmer

Excuse me, i don't mean to be rude here or anyone for that matter, but anyone who has questions about unreleased scores at the moment, here's your answer.

I'm looking for the score to Muppet Treasure Island. More specifically, I'm looking for an expanded or complete score version. See, the officially-released version of the score has only seventeen tracks, which are all good, but the thing is still incomplete, just like all soundtracks that are released officially. There are nineteen tracks, according to Wikipedia, that were never released. Now, before you say "Wikipedia makes stuff up a lot", I'd say "that's true"...but for one thing. As I said on the forums earlier, when I ran Limewire way back in the day, I found a number of tracks labeled as being from Muppet Treasure Island, but the distinction is that some of those tracks had the exact same titles as shown on Wikipedia. This said, they've got to exist still. I don't have Limewire anymore, what with it having gone under and the computer on which Limewire was installed has long since been given to my granddad, and so I can't look up those tracks as I would have before. But maybe, just maybe, there's someone out there that has those nineteen tracks still; I saw some forum posts from years ago on another site that were about this version of the score I'm talking about, but no download links.

So to conclude, that complete thirty-six track score just *has* to exist out there somewhere, it just *has* to. And if anyone knows where to find it, I'd be extraordinarily grateful to know where.

Has anyone been able to find this?

HANNIE CAULDER & HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME (promo with music by Ken Thorne) (MONO/lossless/flac)

For "Hannie Caulder," an offbeat western from 1971, Thorne wrote a score that captures the flavor of the American West, while "Hunchback of Notre Dame" uses period instruments to give it a more historical sound. Both scores in MONO, as released on the Prometheus Label (Film Music of Ken Thorne Volume 1).

As I just posted in your request thread, There are like 16 tracks available on this site: Gramoscope Music (http://www.gramoscope.com/index.html)

All ya have to do is click to play and download using flashgot for firefox, download helper or some sort of similar audio capture program. They download in mp3 320. I cannot find an official album now. This is likely what I saw. Take it or leave it, but it's there in good quality for free, as are many other Alec Puro scores for movies and television. Beyond this, I can't help you.

I do have this readily available in flac, if it is still needed. Someone, let me know.

I was going to request the score to Little Deaths by Richard Chester, but since I looked it up and there's nothing official, I'm going to offer up a twist and post what I found here.

I know this was about a film score, but may I request that you don't post images like that in future on the public forum? It's just not necessary. The name of the film and composer would've been enough.

I can't believe that you were insulted by this picture.

Thanks, Zeratul. It is gruesome and explicit, and as such I don't think it ought to be posted here, certainly not without spoilers and a warning. Bloody knife blades gouging out of a naked girl's back is just not appropriate for a public forum, whether it's a movie poster or not.

I'm not indicating that I've been 'mentally scarred' by seeing it, but I do know that there are much more sensitive people out there who'd rather not have an image like that placed in front of their eyes when they're not expecting it.

I wasn't getting bent out of shape; I was just trying to make a valid point about an inappropriate picture (which, by the way, is certainly not tame). I didn't swear once. Oh, and I'll be very surprised if that poster gets past the advertising standards here in the UK. Very surprised.

so the poster offends you, but my anti- pilgrim/God joke doesn't? The poster is not that bad. I am disturbed by many cover images for horror films these days, and this is relatively tame.

Oh, and thank you, Cluckyou. Though I do not have an interest in the track, I am always thankful to those who take the time to post shares. Since the whole community is built on that, I am sure the others are too.

Heck Sully, I find the posters being made into covers in the custom thread for nightmare on Elm Street far more repulsive. The fountain of blood thing for example, yet that in no way bothers you?

I've seen worse on the sides of buses and on billboards in this country. I agree that it isn't anywhere near as bad as you seem to feel that it is.

I hate having to defend myself, but I do want to point out that the film is a UK production. And it was released in 2011. The final poster was approved by the BBFC (or whoever has final say). I looked on Google image search and it was the only poster listed. It's the same image that shows up on IMDB and Wikipedia. The reason I posted an accompanying image with my link (since there is no official soundtrack cover) is because I wanted to give it visibility. It's too easy to just scan down the page and miss it. I've done it for pretty much everything I've posted.

Also, the poster is very misleading. While it is a very extreme film, there is no point in which a naked lady gets razor shards in her back. It's designed to provoke a response, and I'd say it did a damn good job of doing it.

Besides, it's frickin' Halloween and you're a Monster (Inc.). It is pretty funny that you ended up quoting it in your own post, though.

I am making a point by quoting the full quote with no spoiler. And that is, no offense, Sully, but you quoted the offensive post in it's entirety. Including the unspoilered image you found so disturbing in the first place. Why didn't YOU edit your reply to either remove or spoiler the poster then?

I will point out that I have Cluckyou on ignore. We've had our ups and downs and I have not got round to amending that. Point is, I did not even see the stupid picture til you quoted it.....

Even though I understand what your point is, I think you're exagerating really, my friend.

Glad you understand what my point is. It may not be the worst poster out there, but I still think it's inappropriate for a public forum, on a thread specifically for music.

Yes, your anti-pilgrim/God joke offended me. But I'm used to anti-God jokes, and besides, I assumed it was tongue-in-cheek coming from you. My point is - your anti-God joke has no potential to visually impact and disturb someone in the way that a horror poster does, whether this example is tame in some peoples' opinion or not.

I apologise for my comment about not being thankful, Cluckyou. I do appreciate you sharing, even if only the principle of sharing and not the track itself.

I do find the Elm Street covers rather repulsive, of course, but having never seen the film or the posters before, I hadn't realised it was a fountain of blood, as I tried not to look too closely. But having gone back and had another look, I can see it now. However, I personally find the Little Deaths poster more realistically graphic and disturbing, and as such I felt I had to say something.

I do understand why posting an image for a link is a good idea. I sometimes do it myself. But in my (seemingly-unique) opinion, this image was simply not appropriate.

And I agree, it certainly does provoke a response...

Do I really need to explain the difference between a friendly, cartoon monster from a U-rated film, and an 18-rated horror film? Really?

The reason I originally quoted the image was so that my comment would be in context and wouldn't seem unreasonable. But on second thoughts, that was a pretty dumb thing to do, considering the whole point behind my commenting in the first place. Criticism duly noted and quote edited. :)

That's true - I remember that. But I also remember seeing a Saw poster that proudly said it was 'banned from public display'. My point is, something like the "Little Deaths" poster would never be displayed in public on a billboard or a bus. Not here in the UK anyway. Not yet. Who knows how far the standards will slip in years to come...
