You can get the score here in 320:

I would love this in FLAC if anyone has it, though.

Thanks. Only tried the rapidshare link without noticing the others.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess when you say you need the "complete or expanded score" you just mean the OSTs...Or? Are you asking if someone could convert music from FLAC to mp3? You can do it yourself; it doesn't take a genius. For serious, search "FLAC to mp3 converter" on Google, and there's like a bazillion programs that will do it.

If you want to stop pissing people off please, for the love of everything, take some of the advice that we keep trying to offer you. If you continue to make up track lists and classify your rips the wrong way and so on, then nothing is ever going to change. It's a simple issue that can be resolved, but you have to be moved enough to want to change yourself.

*You're. And besides, that's a tad bit harsh. He only says the things he does because he hasn't got a clue what he's talking about. Here's the predictable cycle:...on second thought, there are too many cycles and this would be a really long post. In general, Snakes advertises something that looks real and believable to everyone, then someone downloads it and says it's crap and then we all get mad and make fun of him. It doesn't matter the situation, or set-up--every time it ends with people getting mad at him. At the same time, there are always the people that pop up and say, "Oh, leave him alone. He's not doing anybody any harm." To them, I want to say STFU.

If he says he doesn't want to piss people off, but is simultaneously unwilling to take the steps that will avoid people getting pissed off, I don't know what we can do for him.

Look, Snakes, I understand your wanting something really bad in the form of a complete score. But you just simply cannot MAKE something exist simply by wishing it. There are tons of complete scores (Titanic, the Star Wars prequels, the Disney movies, etc., etc.) that I would love to have, but they just DO NOT EXIST outside of the studio/music company vaults. It's just a sad fact. Sure, people can do certain things with DVD/BD rips, but even then, only so far. It sucks, but my point is, you can't just say, hey, coming soon, this complete score that no one else has ever seen before! Plus, you have to remember that some people on here also belong to private blogs where a lot of unreleased stuff is shared privately, some of which might never see the light of day on here. Meaning that if a complete score for Lion King, Hunchback, Transformers, whatever, existed on the blogs, somebody here would have already heard of it. Me, I just have no desire to download any of your "complete scores". I don't mean to sound harsh, and I know you're just trying to help out, but I just think you have a lot to learn about complete scores first.

The Dimensioner
12-04-2011, 08:17 PM
I've never thought of it like that, dsguardian: that it appears Snakes just wants to wish music into existence. I guess we'll have to see if that's actually how he feels. Then, maybe we can understand a little bit more his resistance to change.

Star Trek: First Contact
phoenix edition (resurrected and restored)

(Thread 100719)

The bootleg material floating around the 'net suffered from clipped dynamic range and some other sound anomalies. It included the previously released official album material but it also inherited its errors: digital pops (even in songs).

For this release, the original album material was re-incorporated, so dynamic range could be retained. Audio errors were meticulously repaired. The remaining bootleg portion was adjusted in volume because of differences due to mentioned clipped dynamic range.

Magic Carpet Ride by Steppenwolf was taken from the remastered 1999 edition of their 1968 album The Second.

For the official soundtrack album selection (minus Oobie Doobie) use the playlist /album.m3u.

There has never been an official release of Dominik Scherrer's BBC version of Dracula.

Although I personally would like to see it released, the music was much better than the movie was, which isn't saying too much.

I read an interview earlier this year with Dominik Scherrer and he stated he used a small orchestra of 25 people for this recording.

Yes that one sold out very quickly, I believe it was limited to about a 1,000 copies or so, I guess they kept the number down to the fact that soundtrack had been released in 2004 by Varese, and 1997 by Rykodisc.

Just so you know, on a new thread devoted to Tim Burton's 1984 short film "Frankenweenie" I just uploaded 2 tracks in stereo that were composed by Michael Convertino for the film (David Newman did the other 3 tracks). All 5 tracks can be found in bootleg form (poor mono sound), with the Newman tracks never released (to my knowledge) any other way. But I have the 2 Convertino tracks on an official promo CD devoted to his film music, in great stereo sound. You can find those 2 gems by clicking here...

Did anybody already got Shame OST?

There's a couple of tracks by Harry Escott, 95% "inspired" of Zimmer's The Thin Red Line. "Unravelling (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9MZUeeg2Ug)" for example and I'm also interested in Carey Mulligan's New York New York cover (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktLmRCGM7r0), that during the movie, it just break your heart and contains all the essence of the movie in just this 2/3 minutes.

@olafolaf - The link under the Treasure Island artwork is for Fred Karlin's Up The Down Staircase ?.

You are correct bishty, it is, and from a rare but scratchy in places LP. Karlin began his film career with this lively score which was also much imitated, including, to some extent, by none other than Jerry Goldsmith in his "Room 222" TV theme from 1969. Thanks for sharing olafolaf, perhaps it deserves its own thread?

Track list
01. Up the Down Staircase 2:08
02. Opening Day 3:50
03. First Impressions 1:56
04. Love is Eerything 2:07
05. You're Hip, Miss Pastorfield 1:51
06. Prove It, Teach 2:33
07. Hot Stuff 2:22
08. Love is Everything (reprise) 2:52
09. March of the Mimiographs 2:07
10. The G. O. Glide 2:21
11. C. C. Street Scene 2:26
12. Yesterday's Dream 1:36
13. Blues for Joe 3:03
14. Up the Down Staircase (reprise) 1:12

This one's for the classical fundi's: Anyone got a cd rip of Tchaikovski: 1812 OVERTURE by Eugene Ormandy and the Philadelphia Orchestra? This rendition , IMHO, still has the best tempo (Others always want to rush through the intro) and it contains the choral version of the Russian folksong incorporated in the work, in the intro, around the bells section and the victorious ending. I think RCA Victor restored these recordings from 1965, as I first heard this from a vinyl box set from Reader's Digest in the 70's. Googling showed me this disc 60492-2 RCA Victor. Any info on this?

Come on, say what you have to offer (and in which quality) and we'll see. The only score I know of him that year is Jaws and Eiger Sanction (both released commercially) and I'm sure a lot of people have heard them ;)

hi,
I was wondering about the scores Joseph Lo Duca composed for the tv shows Hercules: the legendary journeys and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. I know of HTLJ a score was released, but does a alternative versions exist also?

There are several official Hercules albums, one for each season, I believe. But, they are Varese Sarabande, and can't be posted here.

Just saw the hour long Family Guy Christmas thing. One of the wrongest X-Mas specials I have **ever** seen.

I dunno HOW they got it on the air. :notgood:

I am fairly sure at least one of you is involved....

I wondered why you were talking about Family Guy here. Nevertheless, that is one of the most disgusting Family episodes, IMHO. It's not even new--that was a rerun! Unless I'm confusing it with the American Dad Christmas special, but really when is American Dad good in the first place?

Hey, I totally take the FIFTH on that one! (Yea, a fifth of SCOTCH! Hehehhehehe) I had NOTHING to do with that show, at all!

On another SORE subject, someone posted a file for download on one of the pages. The name of the file was" TH-CB_world.rar" and it was posted on "uploaded.to" which seems, for some reason to be a SPAM site, everytime I have gone on there, and enter the "Capta" code, it says that I didn't enter it correctly, and keeps wanting to save a small file to my computer, which seems to be a virus or spyware file! I have entered the code 7 times, and it keeps saying that I got it wrong! I even tried it on Firefox with the same results! I remember this happening on this site in the past.
I just save the link on my favorites in IE, but forgot what the actual score name was, so if someone knows what that is, please let me know.

Many Thanks, William
