Actually I would be VERY interested in finding this one, but I never found it. I don't know if it even exists.

I think there's not an official release...But if you want you can do what I did...I can direct you to a youtube profile...The user EmpireSB...has extracted somehow perfectly, without SFX..a lots of score ques from Disney movies...He's rarely there and I can never seem to find him so I can ask him how he does that...But he's got a lot of instrumentals from Pocahontas, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Snow White etc. originaly from the movie... here they are.. YouTube - EmpireSB's Channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/EmpireSB)

There's also one track, a film version of ''And He Shall Smite The Wicked'' from The Huntchback Of Notre Dame....I hope he, or she..continues making those clips.....And oh sorry...I forgot to mention...those are musical clips..But you can download Youtube downloader (just tipe it into your browser, and you'll find it)..With it you can download a clip from youtube and convert into MP3...And with it you'll have the music you wish for..:)))..Hope I helped..:D

well, technically, yes. It's an improved rip, but it's still, unfortunately much like the Batman Begins rip, to laden with sfx to enjoy.:cryingbatman:

Only part 3 is Varese.

all the parts were PM'ed to this user last night, including the Intrada 2 disc. All that remains now is for him to tell us he has them......

Well I don't mind the SFX (of course...when that's not the only thing you hear)..I can bare with that, as long I can hear that sweet, beautyful music...But I also hope to hear it all one day without the other noises...But I don't know why Hans Zimmer hasn't released sutch popular and magnificent pice of work completely...I hope he'll realise that soon..:))

And by the way..Did he win any awards for that music??

I will say, after posting two requests for the back to the future stuff in 2 days or less, that i would expect the user to at least tell us he got them, and even possibly thank us, and me. We will see. But for newbs, this is where we loose patience. Someone keeps asking--demanding an upload. When that turns out to be a forbidden album, we still get it to you, then ewe never hear anything more.....that is part of what burns out the bigger uploaders. Now, emperordinobot may not have been on yet today, and may not check his pms, or read the last few posts where we all discuss his requets. Give him some time, but there is a nagging feeling, we will only hear if there is a problem with the GIFT I gave him, or if he needs more. This is one reason I disabled the PM function for me. I kept getting hourly requests for when I would get something ripped and to a member. I mean hourly. Once I got it to him, I have not heard one word since. Just venting, but if someone fills your request, even the briefest thank you is appreciated. If someone goes further, to get you a private share, certainly a return thank you via pm is warrented, ya?

Not everyone is thoughtful enough to practice the proper forum etiquette sadly. If a requester does not respond with an appropriate response within 30 days I put him/her on my ignore list and do not fill any further requests for that user. If they are new or simply not active users I then cut them some slack.

Everything you say may be true. I certainly agree with the sentiment. As a caveat, I would point out that when I do thanks for downloads, (and I'd be the first to say I haven't thanked everybody,) I usually wait until it has been downloaded, unpacked, and if possible, QA'd, so that when I thank them, I don't immediately write back with a string of questions.
That said, I always lead said string of questions with a great big thank you.

So, yeah, let's see. He may at work. He may be offline. He may be checking the stuff you just sent him.
Or he may be a jerk. Time will tell.

Blindly choosing to believe the best in people,

Leachers are always a problem on sharesites were some shares but a mojority only leach and download links without ever sharing something...
That is fine by me, but when those leechers then starts to demand stuff or even unpolitly and sellfishly starts to whine about uploaders etc...I just want them to go to "hades"
You of all people in here that shares alot and does alot to this forum , must know what Im talking about.
Some people are downright evil and should be banned for being pests...
As I said before, dont let it go to you and share with those people you know and like and which are polite to you...newbies must prove themselves worthy and start upload stuff themselves I think, before asking for alot...

I partly ( and respectfully) disagree. There are more possibilities foe people, I tend to respect if someone doesn not want to share, but participates in other ways like actively saying thanks and appreciating posts and effort: this is something very important as well. You might find that ridiculous. But I really mean it.

Saying thanks or / and repping, as now is possible. :D

if these aren't the crap dvd rips, could you post? :3

I would too, but I'd like a slight minimum. but sadly, no he didn't. shame this can't get a better expanded / leaked release, this is my favorite zimmer score :/

As the search in this forum is almost impossible I would like to ask what is the best version available to

Road to El Dorado (Zimmer, Powell)

I know there is a bootleg with SFX of around 77 min but is it good?
I hate SFX in movie scores so besides that bootleg does anything else exist?
I wouldn't mind if the songs are also present if it contains most of the score too

Thanks!!

Looks questionable.
It has a weird blend going up. It seems to fade out naturally. So I would say yes.
It's not the wierdest spectrum I've seen. It depends on the music though.
I would say it's lossless.

Here's the spectrum.
What's nice about it though, is it doesn't have that line running through 16k. :)

Thank you, I'm still not sure. The blend is really weird. Maybe a VBR-thingie with high bitrates. On the other hand I don't see any artifacts. A second opinion would be nice.

I found this on Soulseek, but it is to slow for downloading this.

Please help me !

It's a transcode. Goodall only had 192k files on his laptop, there is no better quality around, until someone plunders the vaults of Universal. I think there only were two cues or so that are in fact lossless. If this is right, then those cues came from a promotional compilation disc the publisher arranged for him (with access to the vault).

Does anyone know where I could find the video game score to Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects by Trevor Jones? Thanks ^_^

For GeoScore

I found these two as separate albums at different locations, each claiming to be the Marvel Nemesis score. Even though they have different tracklists and durations, its possible that one might be a re-editing of the other. I dont know what the deal is, so Im posting them as two discs of a single album. If anybody knows more, the info would be welcome.

I decided to put out my score list...My entire collection...Be aware that almost all of these are not up yet...Be patient..and I'll up them when I'm able...Enjoy..:)

91. Justice League Unlimited (Promo) by Kristopher Carter
111. Miriam Stockley (Album Second Nature, also the song There)

What's the story with the Justice League Unlimited Promo? Which episodes does it include? If it's a proper promo and not a DVDRip (I've already got every one of those except "Hunters Moon") I'd be interested, as I would be in the Miriam Stockley Second Nature album.

I should warn you...It's not an official release...It's kind of a rip..I'm also disappointed that there never was an official release..But I'll up it if you still want it..:)

Actually, I Do Want It Bcuz I've Made Rips And People Don't Like Me Bcuz Of Them. Unfortinately, It Is Sad That There Was No Official Release. I'll Take Whatever You've Got

I don't think it is true that people don't like you, and I don't think the dvd rips are the reason.....you did come on a bit strong at first, but I think you were just over eager and excited. What is it you guys tell me? Don't let things get to you?

I am not upset, it is just more obvious no, when you can track each post, see how many have viewed, and in the reply collumn is a big fat zero...

Hi babydoll, I wanted to respond to this... There may be other reasons you get thread views but no replies... People may click on a thread and then decide not to download for various reasons. For instance, I viewed 2 of your threads, downloaded one and left a thank you ...didn't download the other and so didn't say anything. Maybe someone checked it out, realized they already had that version... or decided they were just gonna buy it... or didn't like the bitrate... or didn't have enough room on their drive at the time and bookmarked for later.

Just wanted to point this out in case you were taking lack of comments personally and feeling bad. :)

I always say thanks if I download something ...usually don't have enough room though so I've bookmarked tons to get someday-in-the-future-if-the-link-still-works. :P

I'm sorry that I can only say thank you, and don't have any soundtracks to share that aren't already here - I guess after reading some posts in this thread, some of the opinions about people like me who just download and don't "contribute" more, I have a better idea why the few requests I've made in this forum, have been ignored! (No offense...I didn't *expect* anything, just a little disappointed that nobody engaged in conversation with me either, felt a bit snubbed...okay, that sounds pathetic, forgive me!)

in my experience, ive mostly been shown soundtracks by threads here. i'm kinda a lossless fiend, so when i see a new soundtrack up, i go check it out. (btw - the lossless thread was amazing, even if it is a year old and most of the links are gone. it was beautiful!) if it looks good, but isnt flac, i look for a flac version on all the sites i can get my hands on :) if i cant find anything else, i dl it from the thread, and thank for it.

but i'm tremendously thankful for all the hard work that people have done here. its really shown me hundreds of soundtracks that i like and will probably try and buy soon.

so ya, that was my $.02

I am not upset. I know lots of people may look at a post, just out of curiosity. As for "leeching". I don't see it that way. I waited a long time before trying a share or two. There is nothing wrong with that, and I never ignore a request if I can fill it. its that many here have limited time, so no response usually just means no one has found it...

I never ignore a request if I can fill it. its that many here have limited time, so no response usually just means no one has found it...

what are you looking for?

That's okay, I wasn't accusing you in particular...just felt sorry for myself for a moment. :) So I know how you feel if you're disappointed not to get a response in a thread you started... (although you deserve comments more since you've shared so much, and my thread/posts were just requests - thanks for saying you don't consider me a leech though. :))

I recently started a thread in the request forum (before the site got redesigned and maybe things got moved around?) for Ben Mink's "Alice"...preferably with artwork, but I realize that probably nobody out there has scanned it (can't find it on any soundtrack artwork sites). I'll probably buy the CD someday anyway (have to make it lower priority though 'cause there's too many limited edition scores to buy first!) - just thought it would be nice to have a digital backup of the art to read on the 'puter...I'm one of those obsessive weirdos who frets over finger-print smudges or wrinkles on booklets ;))

I also asked in this thread if anyone had Beach Blanket Bingo (La La Land) but it's a new release and I completely understand if nobody has it yet... or maybe doesn't want to share until it's OOP, so I explained (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/film-score-hunt-thread-v2-78573-post1529638/?highlight=#post1529638) why I was asking for the chance to hear before possibly buying...before it goes out of print.

I don't mean to be demanding - I understand requests can't always be fulfilled. I was more disappointed that my "conversational" stuff was ignored, making me a bit self-conscious and wondering if you all thought I was a dork who babbled too much although nobody's interested - yes, I *am* a dork, feel free to mock me. :) But you're probably right, this isn't the place for it - I just didn't want to make abrupt brief requests for things without getting at all personal....it seemed rude. But maybe keeping it brief and impersonal is actually preferred here so that people don't have to scroll past chatter and can find what they want more easily? Sorry if I got whiny and self-pitying! And I promise I won't write such a long post in this thread again. :)

P.S. babydoll - I don't see your signature - maybe I have them turned off in my preferences...I'll have to change that.

Could you explain to me what "seeded" is? I just don't do the torrent thing yet..

As for "leechers"...I know we all have very different opinions about it. For me, its fine. If I wanted to get something in exchange for sharing, then I'd just stick with trading via pm's or private sites. But I figure if I post something here in the open, then that is basically saying it is ok to grab and dl it. I don't see that as a bad thing. There can be many, many reasons folks don't share in return. I PERSONALLY, don't think we should require participation. I belong to a few sites, most of which I have never posted on. Just for whatever reason. I think if you post on an open forum, expect to have your stuff dl'ed....

As for the request section, I don't think it is nearly as well read as this thread, I have only been on there once myself....

i'm kinda a lossless fiend, so when i see a new soundtrack up, i go check it out. (btw - the lossless thread was amazing, even if it is a year old and most of the links are gone. it was beautiful!) if it looks good, but isnt flac, i look for a flac version on all the sites i can get my hands on :)
Me too, and I miss the old lossless thread. I only collect lossless stuff and didn't download something from here for a long time.

The suite was created in that way, it was possible to listen it infinitely on "repeat" in a player - the same sound dodge with a transposition of fragments that were used by Pink Floyd on their album "The Wall".

The album never comes to end, as dreams don't come to end. All tracks, in difference from the original OST, accurately correspond to chronology of a film. For the basic leitmotif of a suite I choosed theme of "Projections" from original bonuses. Pleasant listening.
Cheers!

This is a highly impressive alternate edit of the score. Well done! Thank you for your fine effort!

OK, two things.

First, MadKalnod, I have dl'd that JLU promo before, it is a rip, and has fx. Just saying. It had the exact same tracklist. Some tracks are ok, but the sound is crap, and there are fx and dialogue echoes...

Second, why all the fuss over a "lost" 5th Element? I have an archive labeled "complete promo" that is 2cd's 71 tracks @320. I have not listened to it yet, but is that what the fussing is about?

EDIT:

ok listenig to fifth as I upload it, seems to be fx free, whatever else it is. It'll be up here in about 20 min. Give or take.

Notes:
I combined an isolated DVD score rip with existing songs. Then broke it down into individual tracks with corresponding names. Orchestra Only means there are no vocal elements in the tracks. Tracks marked as "Edited" had some music removed because of sound effects. Minor FX, means includes some sound effects. All cues had some minor adjustments. For example removing silence, start and stop times along with some fade ins and fade outs. Quality varies based on source material.

I was recently watching the DVD screener of Vampires Suck that has been out for a while now and got so curious as to what score cues from other films were used for certain scenes. Luckily the dialogue was encoded into the left channel and the music was encoded into the right so I extracted the pieces of music I needed help identifying and mixed them together. Before anyone says anything I know several New Moon cues were used (small segments of these cues: Wolves Kill Laurent, Blood Sample, Volturi Waltz, To Volterra, and Volturi Fight) but I included those clips because I figured someone else would like to hear them. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Amanda

Neither. I think his is the same as mine, except it is FLAC. Neither is the real deal entirely. There is one track with clear fx, and a couple with the sounds of the crowd and announcer during the show. But, most of the tracks are clean. I am not sure what it is. The second disc has a handful of unused cues, and also what seems to be a good bit of the ost tracks. So, IDK what it is. Like I said, most of it is clean, but something about it is nagging me....

I would be curious to see what others thought of it, has anyone dl'ed it? I've had it up a little while now. I wanna know what you all think of it....

I enjoyed the FIFTH ELEMENT Complete Score but prefer the original retail album. The Complete is quiet massive and not as easy to swallow but it is nice to have most if not all the music available.

190. The Chronicles Of Narnia The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe - Recording Sessions (2005) by Harry Gregson-Williams

I'd like to know: can you give me just tracklist? Im wondering if there's a cue called "The Battle Continues". If so, I'd like to ask for upload.

You can find this Recording Sessions soundtrack all over the place. It is...incomplete. The only difference between "The Battle Part 2" and the end of "The Battle Album Version" is an alternate ending. Both of them are used in the movie. Lots of the battle music is missing from the recording sessions, as well as some tracks from earlier parts of the movie. I am working on an expanded soundtrack with minimal SFX that adds 10 or so tracks onto the recording sessions.

I've also renamed the recording sessions tracks to fit the scene they are played in--it's as if whoever named them didn't actually see the movie. My expanded score should be finalized and up here by next weekend.

Yes, there is an isolated score on it. Shame they didn't include it in the barebones bluray. Some tracks seem to be ripped from the film to extend the isolated score track. But I have seen a promo for this before the DVD came out. It was just expanded/alternate, though.

Thank You SO MUCH! I've been looking to see if they ever made this. I was beginning to think it was completely non existence. I love this movie as well as the sequals. IF they have made any soundtracks to for the sequals, let me know. Though most likely not since they mostly reuse some of the score from the original film. But if they have it regardless, I'll take them. Thanks again.

Hello everyone!

I just bought the complete Looney Tunes Golden collection (6 dvd sets) and I absolutely looooove it! Now I've seen online there are 2 soundtracks available from the composer Carl Stalling (THE CARL STALLING PROJECT Vol.1 and Vol.2). Would someone have these? I am very curious to hear what they sound like. On the Golden Collection, many of the shorts have the option of watching them with a music-only track, some with voices-only track and I found them absolutely fascinating!! ;)

Many thanks!

review
Notting Hill: (Trevor Jones) After the popularity of Four Weddings and a Funeral earlier in the decade, mainstream British comedy was ready for a series of similarly themed and humored romance films. Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts were juxtaposed in a British/American tale of love for Notting Hill in which a British guy who is a nobody improbably wins the heart of a top-name American actress who is starring in a film shooting in his home town. You can guess who plays which roles, with several twists of humor and basic plot ideas repeated from Four Weddings and a Funeral. Propelled by its star power, Notting Hill was a date-movie success, so much so that the soundtrack began to take on epic proportions in its variations around the world. Several songs by the likes of Shania Twain and Elvis Costello are positioned wisely in the film, with one montage sequence involving the changing of seasons utilizing "Ain't No Sunshine" to great effect. Mixed in between the songs is a predictably contemporary and tender score by Trevor Jones. These situations aren't often composers' favorites, for you can't tell if the post production of the film will lead to a whole slew of songs replacing score that had been tailored specifically for certain scenes. Jones does exactly what you would expect to hear from any composer in the same situation, writing an underscore that could be moved around, replaced, downsized, or repeated without much loss to the integrity of his music. Hearing the composer write music for a light comedy probably isn't what his fans expected to hear anyways, with Jones scoring a wide range of fantasy and action films that usually featured enormous, sweeping themes or dramatic, dynamic constructs with the London Symphony Orchestra. Notting Hill came in between Jones' television assignments for Merlin and Cleopatra, and the stylistic difference between these works cannot be greater.

Collectors of Jones' music need to consider Notting Hill in the same regards that Alan Silvestri fans had met with that composer's numerous interludes into the romantic comedy genre. Silvestri, known widely for his action themes, was perhaps the most experienced such composer to tone down his writing for films like What Women Want and Serendipity at the time. The half an hour of music that Jones presents for Notting Hill is as pleasant as it is surprising. He is a man who has literally studied and taught methodology in every conceivable genre of music, and the effectiveness of his work for Notting Hill is undoubtedly successful. He begins with a solo acoustic guitar and weaves it in between clubby bands, solo sax, solo piano, and occasional orchestral backing. His title theme is simplistic and repeated often to compensate for the score's lack of screen time in the film. It maintains a soft, upscale barroom atmosphere at every turn, although a few cues with modern loops of percussion and rhythm keep the score moving at a listenable pace. The "Car Chase" cue near the end of the film features some light rock with electric organ, but the tone is generally consistent in instrumentation and personality with the remaining, softer underscore. Orchestral enthusiasts will likely enjoy the several cues in which the woodwinds and strings (and perhaps two or three brass players) of the orchestra offer a deep, lush accompaniment to the material. Here the group is used for one of the traveling scenes (to and from the hotel) and in performances of the theme in full, symphonic force, which work well in the magical, movie-business scenes in the film. The acoustic guitar writing sounds similar in many ways to John Du Prez's work for A Fish Called Wanda, although Jones always maintains a heavier, dramatic mix. He also wrote the source music for the film, whether it is heard in the bar, the hotel lobby, or elsewhere. The hotel lobby scene involves some gorgeous solo piano work that you'd expect to hear live upon entering a high class department store.

Due to the film's success, several different song albums were pressed by various international branches of Polygram. The U.S., U.K., and Japan all had slightly differing collections of songs, and score fans can keep the situation simplified by knowing that the same eight minutes (in two suites of combined cues) of Jones' score material appears on all of them. For the most part, these eight minutes offer all you really need from the score, and you may very well enjoy the songs, too. But for die-hard Jones collectors, the somewhat redundant full score is an option. The composer originally pressed a promo (this was just before the Contemporary Media Recordings label he released scores under semi-promotionally starting doing essentially the same thing later that year with Cleopatra) containing the usual disclaimers on its packaging. This album had seventeen untitled tracks following a shorter Costello performance of "She," which has a foundation of piano that works seamlessly with the score. The purpose of the promotional pressing was not certain, although awards consideration may have been the thinking given the popularity of the film. As could be expected, the score then made several trips around the bootleg market, sometimes with the seventeen score tracks appearing by themselves (with the "She" song unfortunately stripped from the package). On other bootlegs, it was combined with material from Jones' Arachnophobia, which obviously doesn't fit with the tone of Notting Hill on the same album. The sequencing of tracks is different on nearly all of them. There are some downright beautiful solo performances on the expanded promo or bootlegged albums of Jones' score, especially involving the piano writing. But is either of these full-score options worth the search as opposed to commercial song and score combination album? For most listeners, no. The songs are really quite enticing, and since they fit the mood of Jones' underscore very well, they make a nice overall balance. In those eight minutes on the commercial album, the most significant of Jones' orchestral outbursts of theme is presented. Still, though, Jones continues to impress in the entirety of his work, proving his versatility once again.

as always, downloaded as found: any variations to that are welcome.

What's a shame??...If you're talking about the SFX....believe me...This RIP is perfect...And where there are SFX, you can barely hear it...except in Talking Herself...that one's a bit rusty..:/
But I'm telling you..It's absolutely great...and you can hear all that beautiful music just like on an original score..:)
