Joseph LoDuca was the composer, there has been no release of a soundtrack to this point.

Don't have it, but the composer is Joseph LoDuca. There seems to be no official soundtrack, so your only chance would be a bootleg or DVD-Rip (don't even know if there is an official DVD!).

Yes, that's the same info I got. But I'm not gonna be able to just find it by googling it. It was released only 5 days ago. I loved the songs in it, I knew a lot of them. The score had a nice touch as well

Ya I'm sure the VA will pop up soon enough. I hope the score doesn't come so rare as for me to not even obtain it. I liked it. The songs I can always download individually, but not the score...

I didn't think there had been a CD release... but thought maybe there was an off-chance that somebody here on the forums might have a promo copy or a composer promo with cues from the film. And, yeah... for a low-budget film... I was impressed. Of course, as a writer... Jonathan Hensleigh is no slouch. But as a director... I didn't know he had the "chops."

Too bad they felt the need to remove the fantastic track "Music of the Bat 101" for the reedition of the first Batman volume, in which Shirley Walker explains the different variations of the theme.
It's brilliant and incredibly compelling. I wish there are more recordings like this available but unfortunately I don't know any other like this.

BTAS vol 2 will be interesting. DS( shall be good, it needed to have more than just the pilot. I am not sure about 4 discs, a lot of music. I STILL have not got even halfway through the Ron Jones set, or the Next Gen 3 disc. I am looking forward to the Green Lantern animated. I was just watching it Saturday, and was saying to myself it would be nice to have the score. Plus, it will likely be the only one I'll have a chance in hell of affording. :notgood:

I don't know anything about a DVD rip, but according to soundtrackcollector, there is a bootleg CD for "Escape from the Planet of the Apes", which also contains, as a bonus, 4 tracks of "Damnation alley" (roughly 27 minutes of that movie).

The only "official" releases of music from that film can be found on two compilations:

1. "Jerry Goldsmith: Frontiers" (main title and end title only, about 4 minutes - Varese Sarabande VSD 5871, 1997)

2. "Jerry Goldsmith At 20th Century Fox", a limited 6 CD Box from Varese (9 tracks on disc 6 with 19:18 min. of music for "Damnation Alley" - Varese Sarabande CD Club VCL 0204 1028-6, 2004)

I think I have the bootleg somewhere floating around on one of my discs, not quite sure though; I can't give you a link, though, because Varese owns the rights for it, I think, as parts of it were released on their compilations!

As for the two compilations, I do own the "Frontiers" CD as an original, and I also have ... infos about the 6-disc-compilation. If you want to... discuss that with me, just p.m. me.

That's exactly what I aim for, to give them something that could be rare and they'll be happy with it. Just like I was when I found them. I know I almost fainted when they had Alan Silvestri's Expanded Father of the Bride Part II because I've been searching for a couple of years and didn't think it ever existed, so I attempted my own extraction, but then I saw someone had it on soulseek and man I was so happy. I'm really a big fan of Silvestri's music.

That he is. I really wish they released his score to Clean Slate, I love that movie as I saw it as a kid. They have some unreleased tracks from it, but I think I'll end up having to get the DVD and do my own rip of the score itself. I really like his emotional pieces, those are the best. He's right up there next to James Horner.

The pirates films, Transformers films, inception edits, Tron legacy edits, Batman Begins and The Dark KNiight before the sessions leaked.....just off the top of my head..

Say, I know it is Varese, but can anyone shoot me a 320 copy of that 3 cd Conan The Barbarian boot? I am combining the extended Varese with the Prometheus rerecording filling in miissing segments. But, I like the clean no monologue versions og the boot main and end titles (it is the original score), and prefer the original harshness ot the Tower of Seth? music. There was also a track on disc 3 which was a clean, better quality version of that track. Just for my personal playlist for now. When (if) the new sets come out that will be better, but in the meanwhile I want to do this. I do like the Prometheus sets, but like others prefer the harsher faster original recordings.

Say, while perusing some custom cover art, I came across a chronological order blog, and it had a cover and tracklist for a 2 disc expanded JFK by Mr, Williams. The blogger could not verify the source for many tracks. I was wondering if anyone had heard of this anywhere, or if any know if it is fx riddled (I suspect it would be) or a true leak?
