More diplomatically, the FLAC can be CONVERTED to mp3 320 or otherwise, with an audio convertor, which can be found online. There are a number of free ones that will do the job. You'll be glad to have it, because you can always convert the FLAC to another lossless codec, that suits the program (such as iTunes) that you may use. Lossless is popular because of CD quality, though for many it is understood that a 320 mp3 version will suit them fine.

Re-uploads of the mp3 version has been requested in the Porko thread a few times, but it does not appear that he is interested in doing so.

I was sort of in that "green" phase myself, and appreciated it when someone suggested where to get the needed software. Such as more recently, when I could not get the cue splitter business figured out, I had a fella pointed the way to a cue splitter application, and even sent me the link for it. But we all are learning new stuff. He should be now give the audio convertor a try, then he won't have to worry about quality preference. I personally am very glad to find scores posted in FLAC, and have come around to it being the optimal form.

Good deal! My computer is not the fastest, so I understand perhaps preferring the 320 mp3. I'll grab that if no FLAC is available, but 320 is pretty solid in quality. Certain treasured scores one may want the best sound possible. I used to have my stuff in iTunes at 128 mp3, thinking that I was being clever, to save space, but believe me, I know that 128 is the pits compared to 320 and FLAC! I burn the lossless download to CD, then I have an "archive" of it so to speak, of which I can always convert down to a less space-consuming album in my iTunes.

Demo scores and Recording sessions are usually complete though there are cases where one or two cues are missing.

also the track names just point out what reel and part the track is for for example: Reel 1 part/Cue(track) 2 = 1m2

Well, in most cases they are more than complete scores. They often contain multiple or alternate takes of some cues, as well as unedited cues, which may be longer than film versions. On the other hand, the Troy sessions contain like 7 or so takes of each track, yet not all the tracks are represented.

This can be downloaded from torrent sites, I did so myself. If your answer is "I don't do torrents", then that is your choice.

It's almost 1 GB, even as mp3. No-one is going to want to upload all that just for you.

All you need is a folx downloader (free), and a torrent link (free). You don't need to join anything.

I know full well that this is a SOUNDTRACK request, but I was just wondering if anyone here knows of an EBOOK download site like this one. I paid AMAZON for three ebooks, at 9.99 each, only to find out that I need to be ONLINE to read them! I filed a complaint with Amazon, and come to find out that these (and ONLY these) three books are now deleted from my computer!!! I know how this sounds, very covert and evil, but that is the facts. I went to read one of the three books the other day, and they are totally deleted from my system, but still on my backup! (I'm not a fool! Hehehehehe)
It's a weird format that I have never heard of, and I'm just looking for PDF or TXT books that STAY in my computer. Would greatly appreciate any info.

Though I am intrigued by the concept of e-books, I find that nothing quite satisfies my reading enjoyment than a real book held in my hands when I read it. I suspect e-books are not a fad, and Amazon will continue selling more and more Kindles. But I just like the physical book. And I just feel that glossy photos in a book are also my preference. But I have never tried out an e-book, as I have never tried these e-readers out. They keep coming down in price, so they must be moving pretty good in sales. But as to the problem you mention, this is why I still would prefer having a genuine book versus the e-book. Another CD If You Count The Bonus Tracks... And Babydoll, I Just Had To Put This One Down Bcuz Unlike THe Other Ones, It Didn't Have Sam's Theme On There.

Someone just wouldn't happen to have the recording sessions for Red Planet in lossless would they? I discovered the original soundtrack and I can't help but to have been impressed with Greame Revell's post modern/electronic/orchestral score, very compelling work. Looking around on this forum I find it in 224 vbr mp3s which pretty much has the same drab sound quality as many mid eighties CDs. I'd love to have this in lossless if it even exists, or atleast in a better lossy quality!

What kind of eBooks are you looking for? Magazines, novels...?

the amazon ones are likely .mobi, which is their own format. you might be able to convert it with calibre.... its a great free ebook program.

as far as getting new ones, i'd recommend demonoid or isohunt. they usually have most mainstream or geek-type books.

No, these were something like ATC or ATI or AIT files, (Not LIT) I have a few MOBI files, and I converted them no problem, but the actual file is held on a webpage somewhere, and about 3 months after purchase, the webpage shifted to a new site, which left people like me out in the cold, until I found the new site. But if you want to have the actual file in your Ereader, then you have to be online with it!!!!!
I am really OLD school about my stuff, all of my Ebooks, I have in print form (or book form) and if something new comes in that I don't have, I will print it up, put it in a folder or binder, and put in on the shelve. All of my CDs, I have backed up in MP3, and the sheet music to boot. I have a ton of sheet music in my computer, but also in print form (you should see my office, looks like the freaking congressional library! )

All of my online pictures, I have printed out and store in a folder or binder with the subject name on the outside! Most of my pictures are in clear plastic, 3 ring holders in the binder. I am part German, so I am anal by birth, Hehehehehehe.
I love mystery novels, just finished the second "Sandman Slim" novel, and the third comes out next month "Aloha from Hell" (Cannot wait!!!!) The three novels that I was referring to were mystery novels written by Nancy Bush, called the "Jane Kelly" series, the first is called "Candy Apple Red" and the second is called "Metallic Blue", and the third (of course) is called "Electric Violet" (or something like that), very funny mystery novels, just like the "Fletch" novels that Gregory McDonald wrote 20 years ago. Read them if you have a chance!

As fans of the movie will know, the commercial version of the "Rules Of Attraction" soundtrack was somewhat of a let-down.
A lot of great songs from the film were left off the CD release, and a couple of the tracks were not the correct versions
of the songs that appeared in the film (for example, using the English version of Blondie's "Sunday Girl" instead of the
French version used in the film; or the 2-minute version of Donovan's "Colours" instead of the 4-minute version that appeared
in the film).

After scouring the internet, I managed to track down most of the songs -- including the correct versions of the songs mentioned above,
as well as more of the movie's score by tomandandy, and some of the rarer, harder to find songs.
I think this expanded collection will please fans who were disappointed with the commercial release and have struggled to find some
of the rarer tracks.

I like books. I like OLD books. A pre-owned book. Something that is a work of art in itself in my hands. A favorite book that sits on a shelf like an old friend waiting to be revisited, the title along the spine. The kids can enjoy their new technology- save trees by dumping newspapers & newsprint which were always destined to line a bird cage bottom. Actually, I would like to see a commercial on TV where a bird cage bottom is lined with Kindles. As is, they show some guy with his 'thing' surrounded by all the books etc. he has loaded. I'd sooner have that surrounding stack and he can keep his lifeless toy.

I know full well that this is a SOUNDTRACK request, but I was just wondering if anyone here knows of an EBOOK download site like this one. I paid AMAZON for three ebooks, at 9.99 each, only to find out that I need to be ONLINE to read them! I filed a complaint with Amazon, and come to find out that these (and ONLY these) three books are now deleted from my computer!!! I know how this sounds, very covert and evil, but that is the facts. I went to read one of the three books the other day, and they are totally deleted from my system, but still on my backup! (I'm not a fool! Hehehehehe)
It's a weird format that I have never heard of, and I'm just looking for PDF or TXT books that STAY in my computer. Would greatly appreciate any info.

I can't find another mp3 copy, but you can find a flac copy with a google search using...

Before you delete the zip/rar make sure that you have the latest version of WinRar/7zip. Often times if you have an older version than the original poster you will get corrupt files.

Sorry, i think after 14 days, that you never have time to rip the 3 soundtracks...

When another have the soundtracks, you don't have the work, to rip your CDs...

I ripped all 6 volumes of Xena as lossless and mp3. I did lossless for Sorei, and did separate mp3 rips for you. Then I did all of the Hercules rips the same way.

Then I will have to up all of the Young Herc stuff. I am also ripping things for other fiends, and mod on another board, where I am setting up a Horner mega thread. Sooooo....then, of course I DO have projects for myself too, once in a while.

Anyone have the "Contagion" score by Cliff Martinez in either FLAC, iTunes AAC, or Direct-from-CD mp3 rip?? The one that was posted here in 320kbps CBR MP3 is a bad rip from an online source, possibly a leak.

This is a good score (not "Hanna" good, but good.)

It's a wonderfully eclectic selection of music, like most John Hughes films, a great mix of 80's alternative bands with some
classics thrown in for safety. Like the wonderful 'This Woman's Work' By Kate Bush.

Anyone else like this film? I think it's one his (Hughes) best and probably most mature.
