I see that Brian Tyler is down as composer on the new TV show Terra Nova, at least on the pilot, wonder if that will get released? He'll be busy if he's doing the rest of the series, as he currently does Hawaii Five-O aswell, so we'll probably not see him having time to do many movie scores.

Do you want the soundtrack with seven pieces by Burwell or something else is out there?
As long as it's got his music, that will be fine. :D So I'll take the seven pieces of music one. Thank you. :)

Brian Tyler if he is staying with Terra Nova would I'm sure have an excellent score made for it. I mean look at his work for the movie Battle: LA. So I do hope he stays for Terra Nova. It would also be great if he got involved with Resident Evil: Retribution. I've done an alternate composer score to Resident Evil Extinction putting in Ed Shearmur instead of Charlie Clouser. It's always fun to see what if.

Looking for George Fenton's "Planet Earth". In 320kbps if possible. Not sure if there's a complete/expanded version of the score since it was years ago since I heard it the last time.
I recently lost most of my scores due to a computer "death" and most of them I was too lazy to backup on my external HDD, now it's the time to start tracking good oldies' down!

Just wanted to drop a note--there are a lot of folks on this forum who are truly generous, not only with their scores and resources, but with huge chunks of their time and energy, too. Babydoll, bishtyboshty, wildwoodpark, nickvader, and all the rest of you: people like me leave our "thank yous" here as a matter of course (and hopefully out of courtesy) when we snap up the things you contribute, but I hope you know we really mean it. Thanks.

The one thing in the 'old' reality I was very disappointed with, was the really stupid death of Kirk in Star Trek Generations. I still don't understand why Bill Shatner let that happen. Mayby they will fix this someway in the new franchise, within 20 years or so, when the current Kirk-actor is old enough not to die stupidly.. :) :) :)
Then you'd've hated the original Kirk death--in the preview showings, Soran apparently just shot him in the back. Talk about unsatisfying....

I. Q is a WONDERFUL Goldsmith score- charming & witty & with its 50's be-pop sound balanced with the nursery rhyme motif. Many years ago I was gifted with a disc that came by way of someone in Australia... and it has more music on it than this L La Land version which claims to be 'complete'. A delightful and amusing film as well. Highly recommended for romantics or those who need a lift of spirits.

You know I mean no offense, Snakes. And, for the record, I don't think anyone should really be making fun of anyone else. Aside from good natured ribbing between friends, I mean. ut that's different.
I have never seen a Lion King Isolated score posted by anyone. You..err..do understand that an "isolated score" is NOT the same as a dvd rip, yes? Iso scores on dvd and such are seperate audio tracks from the actual movie, hence the term "isolated". An iso score posted here is by definition a rip, teue, but a rip of a dvd with fx is not an iso score. And, iso's can be problematic too. They contain all of the film's edits, odd fade ins, source music..and at times large spaces of unscored space. Watch the dvd of Superman the Movie. There are huge areas of no score. So any rip of that has to then be edited into listenable tracks.
Anyhoo...I certainly do not mean to upset ya, Snakes.

An isolated score or sometimes called iso score is a bonus feature to be found on Laserdiscs, DVDs and Blu-Rays. You can hear the music w/o speech and effects as an alternative audio track. Sometimes it's commented, too - like Patton iirc.

Think about DVDs, they come with multiple audio channels, usually. You can have yourself an Isolated Score when the music is all stored on its own channel, when SFX and voices are on different ones. You rip the music track from the DVD and you get the full score exactly as you hear it in the movie. And, yeah, sometimes it's being offered as a feature.

Sully, please don't rely on Snakes to rip a score for you. He tries to do DVD rips without having the physical DVD at hand. All he does is get two channel audio rips of movies off the Internet and performs the karaoke effect on it, rendering mono and mostly unlistenable. He makes it all sound so easy, but it takes a lot of time and patience if you really want a DVD rip to sound decent. Lucky for you, I started a thread a while back with a detailed guide on how to extract DVD audio, and what to do with it once you have it in 6 separate audio channels:
Thread 84885. Feel free to ask questions there, if you're interested in trying to make a DVD-audio-based expanded or complete score for the movies you requested.

There are currently 131 people viewing this forum (more than I see on a typical day). Why in the world could that possibly be? Are X-Men and Raiders of the Lost Ark just that popular?...Or could it be something else?...something that many people think they are getting today, and they will not actually be getting?

You sure you keep on this. Let them be, you don't need to keep telling them this over and over just to prove a point and feel like a smartass 'cause you were right. You know, keep at it, it's fun.

i mostly noticed the relative changes in the numbers of person's viewing the game vs. film link threads are the interchanging numbers that goes either for the game or the film dl thread. a minute the film has more viewers the next the game had it. not that it had anything to do with a particular X-men nor raiders title i guess but just a coincidence or perhaps something entirely different at all.. :)

So Mark's just freely offering Last Samurai now? No impossible proposal this time? Nobody has to post Sherlock Holmes within the next hour in order for him to even consider it? Please.
No one asked for my opinion, but I'm giving it anyway: 90% Mark's toying with us at this point; 10% chance he actually is the hardest working man on the goddamn planet and his schedule miraculously freed up enough to allow him the half hour it takes to upload and post something on the Shrine, and that he had a sudden psychological breakthrough making him increasingly generous enough to give away a majority of his score library without so much as bartering for something else first.
I mean, you can take his word if you so please, but no matter how trustworthy you consider him, nothing can change the fact that, despite multiple requests,he refuses to come forward with any proof whatsoever. I mean, going by proof alone, we could trust Mr. Jones more than Mark.

Yes. I always hate sounding like a drag, but I think you're right, seeing what evidence we've been shown relative to DotM and Inception...and now I guess The Last Samurai. But we'll wait and see. If he does upload them then we will be very happy, but if he doesn't, life goes on (lol I hope all of us realize), and it's probably just a matter of time before at least one of them scores is eventually released. Agree?
---------- Post added at 03:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:15 PM ----------
So anyway speaking of Tan Dun, does anyone have any knowledge of the whereabouts of the Hero score? Not the official release with all the tracks re-arranged ('cause I already bought that), but "the real deal" with the original tracks used in the film?

Yer first sentence carries on too long. You're just saying that Mark G. does not have The Last Samurai? But everything else is still on? I'm not trying to be noob-ish here; just trying to find out more information. This morning, a post by a Mark G. stated: "It comes later today." and about an hour after that, we got this out of the blue: "oh and does anyone have the interest in the Last Samurai Recording Sessions or not? "
No more posts have come from any Mark G.'s for the remainder of the day.

i think right now its apparent that the whole inception/transformers deal was a load of shit from the beginning. then again thats just me...i bring pretty good meaning to extreme pessimism. unless scoreman tells us different, theres not gonna be any rare music released, cuz there was no music involved to begin with.

I remmber when i first took a step into the world of the internet, oh some 15 or so years back! (my score collecting days hooked a further 10 or so years prior to that) And the scores i wanted, even back then was Ice Pirates by Broughton, and Yellowbeard by Morris.... 15 years later they got an official release... and in al lthat time, no bootleg, sessions, complete, expanded and suchlike made ways to the internet... now thats fucking patience lol! Moral... patience is a virtue i wished we all had for scores... nowadays no sooner than the film is on the cinema and still awaiting a score release, everyone wants the complete score to it.. Sad really, when you think the companies see no revenue to all these complete scores floating about and in some degree will disencourage them to release it officially as there seems to be no point if those that beg for a release sooner... and most commonly over the last few months/years IN LOSSLESS! why would they!
anyway, i rant too much and should stop before i get lynched!

I completely agree with you. Patience should be classified as an endangered virtue. So many wonderful scores haven't even had a proper normal release, such as Blind Fury by John Peter Robinson...So to hear people sound desperate because they can't have a score pertaining to big robots or immortal stoned pirates in the year of the bloody release of the bloody film begins to annoy me. Someday, Seeing as there is ALWAYS money to do with Transformers or POTC (or Pirates in general), some label will release a proper "complete score". We had to wait 21 years to have the means to do a proper DVD rip of Alien and 28 years to wait for a real release of the score...We had to wait between ten to 15 years to get the complete/expanded official releases of the alien series scores. Don't come crying after a score only 6/8 months after the movie's premiere...:notgood:
On that ranty note, good night :)

Intrada has tried to get atleast Maniac Cop 1 and 2 by Chattaway released but the owners of the music do not want it released...Yeah I know its sad but check some old thread in the Intrada forum to one of the headhonchos in there giving it straight...
Goldsmit is obviously not interested in releasin his score to the third as it isnt a big movie and he takes forever to get a release out on his freeckyde label...

For all the Zimmer fans, Kritzerland Records just released Thelma and Louise soundtrack.
Check it out at Kritzerland Records - hard-to-find classics, reissues and new releases (

So I got my copy today ...
I'm disappointed.
In the end credits, it fades out too early!
It misses Thunderbird (we knew that of course)
And the main title edit is a joke compared to the beautiful Thunderbird suite.
The dynamic is a little bit more compressed.
The good thing: Will sell it for a fortune. ;)

This edition was mainly done for myself to fit the essence of the recording sessions' two hours on a Hi-MD (which can hold around 95 minutes of CDDA audio). I included shorter playlists as well. For those who are familiar with the forty-minutes official album, my 60-minute selection represents all the original material used for that CD.
94-minute selection of material
adjusted in volume
Anderson Airfield mixes version 1 (general) (as heard on album in abbreviated form) and the guitar solo of version 2 (as heard in the movie)
80-minute playlist included
60-minute "minimum" playlist included with all the material of the official album
two custom covers
new track titles (reel numbers in tags along with additional information)
tracklist
01 5:17 The Merry-Go-Round
02 6:26 Anderson Airfield
03 4:48 Something In Common
04 0:56 I Got Him
05 0:59 Case Closed
06 1:33 Blow You Away
07 5:57 Castor Alive
08 1:29 One Last Thing
09 4:42 Face Off
10 3:09 Ivan Dubov
11 3:16 Face To Face
12 1:27 Inferno
13 1:27 Hungry For You
14 1:05 I'm Sean Archer

Take a listen there (
http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/look_inside/4816401), is it what you're looking for? I asked just for the track but it seemed they had no clue where to get it without the beeps and in better compression. If you'll get it elsewhere give notice, please.
Oh, and btw: I do think this version without synthies and stuff is just awesome.

Hello friends. Justwanted to drop a note here. My computer monitor crapped out on me, so I have no home access to the IE. I cannot even access my own library or files on my pc. I can't get another monitor now, it may be a couple of months. I can get here via library pc's, but that will be rare, so I will not be around very much. This also means I can't download or upload any music, so those with requests, I am sorry but I can't fill them right now. For friends who worry, I am finbe, just gonna be more or less absent for a while.

you can re-up them if you want to your own hosting sites.
Usually, when links are passed around it could lead to quicker deletion of the files.
It could also slow things for anyone wanting to download.

The Kritzerland edition of 2011 ...

loses dynamic
fades out the end credits
This compilation fixes all these errors. It's mainly ripped from the "First Born Records" CD and adds the only "new" material from the 2011 release, which is the main title edit (consisting of "Going to Mexico" and "Butt Talk") ...

And, apparently Intrada's supposed to be releasing the original Fright Night next week (or is it this week?).
if that's certain then that's a worthy release for fans of the original Fright Night movie & score :)
