Hello,

I have looked through this forum and saw several link requests for the Peter Pan Soundtrack Complete Oliver Wallace Score but they are all sent by request. I have been looking for this score for months. I purchased the CD soundtrack but it doesn't have all of the music. Can anyone provide me a link to download this? We are doing a school play in three weeks and I have been working on the soundtrack. I was able to rip the soundtrack from the movie and I am having some success removing the dialog with Adobe Audition but I would like to have a copy of the music only if someone has it. Thank you!

Hello Amanda,

I have several times during the past few months. They either don't have the file anymore or don't respond. Last time was last month where someone would message you the link if you asked. I asked but never received the link. Unless I'm doing something wrong. I find it hard to search for topics without having to scroll through page after page of unrelated topics. Perhaps I'll luck out somehow. Right now I am going through all of the music I copied from the DVD and removing the vocals. I've procrastinated too long now and have to get things finished before the play starts on the 19th.

* previously unreleased ** contains previously unreleased segments *** lossy

About this release:I took all cues from the OST and a CD-R bootleg, renamed the tracks with the original cuetitles and slates.
Some tracks on the OST were micro-edited to shorten the runtime, I was able to restore those unreleased segments with the boot.
There is one entirely unreleased cue here and because that's not much, I added another cue from the composer's website in low quality. All other tracks are lossless, though.

Just a question that's really been bothering me -

Surely there must be a better way to calculate the TT of a score than adding all the minutes up, adding the seconds up and dividing them by 60, and then adding it all together and converting back to mins. + secs. ...

IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY?!?!?

Not sure what you mean, if you select all audio tracks, the total time is displayed in the explorer. And if you have formats like FLAC, that's not yet supported by the explorer, you could convert them to a supported format.

What is this, Window 98? :P Have you tried the button between "Folders" and "Folder Sync"? It should give you various options to display your files, like tiling, with details, as a list and so on. The detailed option should be what you are looking for, not sure what it's called in your country. But again, not familiar with that generation of operating system, so I'm not sure. Also look in the folder options for layout, maybe you have to activate the detail-area, where infos like the running time will be displayed when activated.

But iTunes is just an approximation - ie. "1.2 hours" - that's not exact enough, even if you convert it to Mins:Secs it's still just approximate.

Speaking of Flac, what do you people who use Flac use to play Flac, if not iTunes? And how do you get Flac on an iPod?? I still just don't get what the attraction of Flac is! Can someone enlighten me?!

FLAC is just lossless compressed audio. no loss in audio information as opposed to lossy compression like mp3.

you can convert flac to ALAC, which is lossless also (though tiny bit more MB to each album), and plays fine with itunes/ipod.

depending on songs, i think flac has more rich sound than mp3, but mp3 is good if no alternate possible.

Flac is wonderful because it provides really great audio quality. To use Flac, (because I have a mac), I use a program called "Max" everytime. It can convert any audio file of almost any format TO any format. So, I convert all my Flac files to Apple Lossless as soon as I get them, then delete the Flac files. Then PRESTO, they can be used in iTunes and played on my iPod. Hope this helps!

well lossless (FLAC) is for perfectionist, audiophiles and archivars. AND of course for those further working with those audio files.

I bet you won't hear a difference when blindly comparing 320kbps MP3 to FLAC encoded from the same origin. but just test for yourself.

So if I've converted something from FLAC to mp3, then the quality should be the same/very similar audibly? Also, which is better - mp3 at 128kbps, or 320kbps? Which is better quality, the larger number, or the smaller?

Hello Amanda,

I've got good news! I finally found the isolated score for Disney's Peter Pan! After searching the web I found out that the isolated score (with some sound effects) was on the CAV version of the 45th Anniversary Peter Pan Laserdisc. Thankfully, I still have my Laserdisc player. I purchased the Laserdisc from a seller on Amazon and got it today. Though it wasn't advertised as having an isolated score I did find it on the Right Analog Track. I just copied it to a CD and it sounds incredible! Once I get the tracks organized and finish the school play I am working on I will post a link to share. This saves me a lot of trouble having to use software to remove vocals (the vocals are not even present on the songs!).

How can you edit lossless better than lossy? What advantages are there?

It's just all about the resulting sound quality. If you go through the trouble editing music, using the best quality source material (and keeping it that way) is most likely what you want, simple as that. And if you do sound improvements, well then you have the whole range of (and varieties in) frequencies to tweak. Marge Simpson is FLAC. You can do alot to make that big blue hair shine. Homer Simpson is mp3 - go figure.

How can you edit lossless better than lossy? What advantages are there?

The advantage is that you preserve the quality.

lossy (certain frequencies are lost due the encoding process): aac, mp3, ogg
lossless (all frequencies are preserved, no loss): ALAC, FLAC, APE, WV

First goal in editing music is that you want to preserve the original source quality of the music.

So, if you use a mp3 file (lossy format) this has quality loss in the first place (frequency loss). It won't get any better when you save your edited music.
If you use a lossless format then you can work with the original source quality (all frequencies). If you save this in lossless again then you have no quality loss, you preserved the original source quality.

So simply:

source: lossy -> edit save: lossy --> VERY BAD!
source: lossy -> edit save: lossless --> BAD, only good if you don't have a lossless source ... otherwise you will loss more information by a second mp3, aac, ogg conversion
source: lossless -> edit music: lossless --> VERY GOOD!
source: lossless -> edit music: lossy --> only useful if you give your edit to other people and don't want that they will have the original quality.

i search for the score from Identity Thief by Christopher Lennertz, do anyone have this?

Cap'nSalas

Another soundtrack that I'm searching for and maybe someone knows where I can find it is the soundtrack to Joe's Apartment, that movie about the talking cockroaches that went out in '96. I found one album description using Google Cache, but it was a deleted link that I fortunately took a snapshot of.

Sadly, I couldn't upload the picture, but here's the track rundown:
01. Joe's Apartment Theme (1992)
02. Later That Night... (1992)
03. Joe's Apartment (Reprise) (1992)
04. Joe's Apartment Theme - Mel Torm & the Roach Chorus
05. Garbage in the Moonlight
06. Cat Rodeo
07. Funky Towel
08. Sewer Surfin'
09. Hold My Feeler
10. Joe's Apartment (Reprise)
11. De La F.U.N.K.Y. Towel - De La Soul & The Roach Chorus
12. The Sh*t Montage - Carter Burwell

If anyone knows where I can find this, I'd be most grateful.

Seriously? You waited three minutes between posts and you're disappointed that no one could you out immediately? This is only ONE thread, which contains dozens and dozens of people requesting things, as well as slightly fewer people who are willing or even capable of fulfilling those requests.

Seriously? You waited three minutes between posts and you're disappointed that no one could you out immediately? This is only ONE thread, which contains dozens and dozens of people requesting things, as well as slightly fewer people who are willing or even capable of fulfilling those requests.

Take it easy, man. I'm not disappointed in the slightest about anything. All I want is to find those scores, and I don't care about waiting; could be in the next five minutes, could be next week, could be in five years that I find those missing scores, I can wait. Three minutes is nothing in comparison, and I see nothing wrong with posting something else a few minutes after one post. I just wait until someone finds my messages, if they do at all, and if someone brings me a viable link, wonderful. If not, oh well.

Bottom line: I would delight in finding those scores ("James and the Giant Peach" more than the other because it's a score I've wanted since I was a child in the nineties), and heck, while we're on the subject, I've got some expanded ones myself that I'd be all too happy to share, along with a few others that are hard to come by, I think.

To mention just a few, you like:
-Dinosaur (2000)*
-Kung Fu Panda 2*
-Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace
-Avalon
-Wild Wild West (1999)
-Ice Age*
-Cartoon Concerto by Bruce Broughton (a real soundtrack gem and outrageously hard to find)
-Coraline*
-Rayman Origins
-The Stupids
-Star Wars: The Clone Wars
-Duck Tales: Treasure of the Lost Lamp
-The Fifth Element*
-Rango
-Kingdom of Heaven
-The Adventures of Pluto Nash (okay movie, terrific score)
-The Mummy (1999)* (this one I bought on eBay; cost me a pretty penny)
-Clue
-Evolution
-Rat Race
-or Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith*?

Well, I've got 'em all. And I'm happy to share 'em with anyone. Just drop me a message with your E-mail and I'll gladly send 'em over as tracks. No link to no downloading sites; those can be a little dodgy and I haven't compressed any of these into a RAR file.

You don't need to be ashamed. I was only able to identify four (5,6,7,8).
I think it's hard not because it's only three notes, but more to the fact that you hear the notes devoided of their original orchestrations.

Would anyone know where I could find an expanded version of the Muppet Treasure Island score? I got the official version, and was lucky (I downloaded those tracks off Limewire once upon a time). But, long story time:

Way back then, in I think 2006-2007, when I found the tracks I already have from that soundtrack, I saw the titles for tracks that were not like any that showed up on the official album's listing; I couldn't download them at the time because their sources ran out minutes after I saw them in the download options. I knew they had to be part of that score because their titles were lines shown in the movie and because their track information said they were from that album, but I couldn't find them anywhere else. Then, years later, as I stopped using Limewire, I saw on the movie's Wikipedia page that those tracks I saw *had* to be real, because I saw those exact track names on the page in the "Score cues left off the soundtrack" section.

This said, there just *has* to be a version of that soundtrack I'm looking for, there just *has* to. And if there is and someone knows where it is, please, I plead of you, let me have it.

How to extract files from YouTube to MP3, WMA, WMV, WAV or FLAC APE.

You need a dowloader for the video.
I recommend KeepVid / Program (http://keepvid.com/program) not need installation, only the java running

For the extraction of the audio file Efficient WMA MP3 Converter is very good and easy to use, and is free (also used to repair faulty file) Free Efficient WMA MP3 Converter supporting WAV,WMA,MP3,OGG,FLAC,M4A,RA (http://www.wmamp3-converter.com/)

First
With your chosen video - Copy the address of the browse the link yot want to download

Second
Call Efficient WMA MP3 Converter and choose the format and bitrate rate you want for your audio.

I'm talking about the complete score, that is, the one with thirty one tracks. This one was not released to the public. This one has a number of cues that were not released on the official version; in other words, this is the promo score.

Whatever happens, at the risk of sounding pushy, do you know where I can find the score I'm looking for? The Dracula: Dead and Loving It score? If the Ice Age score is not one you're interested in, I have a host of others as well that you may want.

Soulsek is a peer tom peer sharing system. You do have to install it. Then, you can select which folders on your pc you are sharing, and add them. Then folks can browse those files and dl directly from you. No links, no hosting site. You can control what is shared, and who can access it. You can also message, so it also serves as an IM system.

For instance, I know Sorei is a user list only member. She and I also are in a private group, which is invite only, and mainly for displaced members of an old forum. Just like in the forum world, there are pockets here and there, and connections to be made. Some people have private restricted folders, it just all depends. 99 percent of what I get these days is from there, though.

Can I request that someone send me the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory isolated score from the Blu-ray in 5.1 FLAC?

It can be a single audio track, which I can then split on my own.

I want to re-mix the channels because the one I found here (directly mixed from 5.1 down to 2.0) is off in various places. This is due to the volume in some channels being louder.

And I request the same of Edward Scissorhands, as the one here doesn't look like real lossless. This can also be a single track.

I really wish I had the technology to rip BD audio... :(

I got the 34 track FYC for ICE AGE a long time ago... But mine has background FX in track two "Here's Manny"... does yours? Also, do you have original cover scans?

Mine also has background FX in it. They're very slight, but I think I may know someone that can remove them more clearly. I do have the cover scans somewhere in my computer, I think; I'd have to look for them, but I'm almost certain I've got them.

Also, I know I've already asked this before, and yes, it's on my signature, but could anyone help me? I'm desperate to find this.

I'm looking for the score to Muppet Treasure Island. More specifically, I'm looking for an expanded or complete score version. See, the officially-released version of the score has only seventeen tracks, which are all good, but the thing is still incomplete, just like all soundtracks that are released officially. There are nineteen tracks, according to Wikipedia, that were never released. Now, before you say "Wikipedia makes stuff up a lot", I'd say "that's true"...but for one thing. As I said on the forums earlier, when I ran Limewire way back in the day, I found a number of tracks labeled as being from Muppet Treasure Island, but the distinction is that some of those tracks had the exact same titles as shown on Wikipedia. This said, they've got to exist still. I don't have Limewire anymore, what with it having gone under and the computer on which Limewire was installed has long since been given to my granddad, and so I can't look up those tracks as I would have before. But maybe, just maybe, there's someone out there that has those nineteen tracks still; I saw some forum posts from years ago on another site that were about this version of the score I'm talking about, but no download links.

So to conclude, that complete thirty-six track score just *has* to exist out there somewhere, it just *has* to. And if anyone knows where to find it, I'd be extraordinarily grateful to know where.

In exchange, I offer a few little scores here and there:
-Stargate (I edited one of the tracks, "Ra, the Sun God" to sound more like the version shown in the movie)
-The Mummy (two disc version; I purchased it off eBay back in 2009, and with it I have its cover art)
-The Stupids (this is a pretty good one)
-and there are a few others that I'd be happy to share in exchange for a lead on that score. I know how hectic this forum gets, but I've been after this score for the past, I think, five to seven years, or even longer than that.
-Return to Oz (awesome)
-The Thomas Crowne Affair (version by Bill Conti)

Are there any working links for Mark Isham's score of Fly Away Home? I know that an official soundtrack has never been released and the one that is floating around the web is a bootleg version. Does anyone know anything more about this score? It's simply beautiful and I want to make sure I download the real deal, or the closest to it.

It's a pity that Fly Away Home was never been officially released. I only have the bootleg from the "Fly Away Records", and if i remember well the sound recording it's not even good. I can share this version to you if that's ok.

Also there is this thread that claims to be the complete score: Thread 98312, but i haven't download this version so i can't really tell how's the sound quality.

What do you mean by "off in various places"? If you refer to volume fluctuation, you'll get the same with all (5.1) channels - this is the nature of an isolated score.

And if "Edward Scissorhands" isn't real lossless, that's probably because the original audio (isolated score) track on the Blu-ray isn't lossless. It's not because the original audio (with dialogue and effects) is lossless, that the isolated score audio is, unfortunately.

CUBA / GOLDEN EAGLE (2 unreleased scores by John Scott) (lossless/flac)

Here are 2 rare scores by John Scott: Cuba, 17 tracks with London's Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, was a personal favorite of Scott. Golden Eagle, scored for a low-key documentary, is 12 tracks for synth only. Good stereo sound with no dialog or sfx.
