Does anyone have a rip or an ost for...Warriors legends of troy
I've been looking for this as well - heard a soundtrack wasn't planned to be released, but absolutely love the music (when the ships were setting sail and Odysseus's theme especially). If you find it, will you inform me?

Well, that's not exactly what you want, but I have re-uped some tracks a few days ago (look at the DK section) :
I already grabbed those. I am looking for the original JAP versions since they dont have the same tracks
Gradius 5 is quite different than most of the other ones. Radiant Silvergun's music as you noted is more like his typical style, but that's quite unlike most other shmups--for Gradius 5, I think Treasure or whoever must have told him to not use his usual style. :P
Ok, I can wait! At least, it is confirmed that Grandia OST II exists on the web.I checked those flac files and I found that they had wrong playback time 2sec longer than VGMdb's. It seem's they're lossless, maybe there was a mistake when ripping cd? Anyway I uploaded my flac files(not my rip though). I hope they can help you.
I don't mind.

Scha, I'm almost positive this is a production error. From what I remember, my girlfriend ripped this (and probably posted the rip that was found here), and I'm pretty sure the pop was present on her CD. The rip has a confidence of 3 in Accuraterip, so I doubt it's just a single rip that has the problem, which is a shame.

As far as I know, MML2 cannot be digitally ripped at the moment. It uses a custom sequence format, or some such. I guess the only thing you could do is use the console or emulator and record the music as you are playing.
And of course there's the Capcom Special Selection: Rockman Dash 2 (
http://vgmdb.net/album/15661) CD which has a handful of choice tracks. I'm still looking for that CD in lossless.

The album's cover is just beyond beautiful, so I downloaded the hq wallpaper set from super-nova.cd and its frikin awesome.
Gotta find out who the artist is, I'm sure he would have a gallery at pixiv.net
Unfortunately his name cannot be copy/pasted from the flash-based album's web site, so I'll have to find each japanese character manually.
On a side note I like track 11 "FRAME OUT" :P
EDIT: [offtop] Ok, so the artist's name who did the cover illustration is なぎみそ.
His pixiv page is: nagimiso (

Short comment/review:
What to say, it's Tamusic. Just so good if you like violin/piano stuff and looovvveee touhou music.
But wait this time there are much more uncommon tunes here vocal heavy and not so instrumental pure much more dance inspired. But even for folks like me who are absolutely not into techno stuff this is a nice mix with all the classic tunes in the background accompanying the rest.
Watch out for track 03 which is such a nicely done "Flight of the Bamboo Cutter - Lunatic Princess" impression with good vocals even some distorted electro vibe effect.
And if you prefer the classic feeling... track 09 is for you!!

Mix of all kinds of unique music, most of it was composed by Kelly Bailey I believe. After owning this for nearly two years, it's still a fun listen.

I know most of you probably wouldn't care about it, but here's a small update regarding my KECH-1189 | Kessen II Original Soundtrack - VGMdb (
http://vgmdb.net/album/351) order:
I suppose it will be here in the next days. The rip will come in the form of a single flac image with all the useless crap needed to split/burn. I'm not able to do scans at the moment, but I'll eventually upload them at VGMdb, if someone doesn't beat me to it... This soundtrack also came with some Sticker about the characters, if I remember right.

OK, that's odd. I can get al the tracks to play, but 9 through 12 won't convert to individual .flac files, very strange. Never had this happen before.
OK, computers can be REALLY retarded. For some reason, moving the cue and image to another file allowed me to covert all of them. WTF? It's one big freekin' file. Why would it let me get 8 out but not the last 4 from the same solid file? Talk about goofy.

So..... Since A LOT of the Final Fantasy Links are down, I took it upon myself to upload everything I have while trying to avoid uploading anything that has recently been uploaded by a member to try to avoid snagging their hits.
If I uploaded something you've recently uploaded, let me know and I will replace my link with yours.
I avoided including the piano collections that were recently uploaded because I remember the integrity of some were questioned.
If anything goes down, let me know. I'm waiting for Caked to send me a list of all his uploads, so I'll update this with that when I recieve it.
FINAL FANTASY MEGA-POST [HOTSHARE]
I'm having trouble with a lot of the links in this post... When I go to the link it looks like the file is online but then when I try to download it just gives me a useless 70 kb file. Does anyone else have this problem? Could some of these be reuploaded? I was looking for FF III OST and OSV and All Sounds FF I & II particularly.
And yes I know about the Final Fantasy Lossless mega torrent, but I was hoping that people here might have rips that include log and cue files, because most of the ones in that torrent don't

Foobar isn't particularly great with cues in general. You're much better off using CueTools when dealing with cue files - it'll generate a proper cue when converting between single FLAC and multi.

Does anyone have updated links to the Zelda Twilight Princess FLAC gamerip by Prime Blue? I've looked everywere but haven't found any active links.
I'll update my post as soon as I've reuploaded it, give me one day or two.

FileSonic allows to download files of - max - 400MB size when you're a free a user. Try to split the thing into multiple archives.
I've setup so free users can download 1GB max, hopefully filesonic is using 1024MB for 1GB and not 1000MB. I'm just off by 5MB for 1000MB, but test it. I just want me a single link whenever it's possible, it makes it easier for everyone. Let me know if works or not. If it doesn't than I'll split file. Thanks.

It's really nice of you to go through so much trouble for the people here. Though I must say unless Flesonic pulls the same crap as Rapidshare and makes free users wait an hour between downloads, I doubt having it split into separate files really would be much of a bother for us. You're awesome for going through the trouble of making one big download though, I really appreciate efforts of people such as yourself. Thank you.
Oh, Filesonic makes users wait 15 minutes between downloads. I can live with it, but yeah, it is a bit of a dick move, isn't it?

Such a great game! ;-D
I think I actually have this somewhere on one of my HDDs. Alas, only in mp3. I'll have a look & try to find it if you still want it though.
I'm also pretty certain that all of the music used in the game was composed by Tchaikovsky, so it shouldn't be all too hard to find in some lossless format, but not altogether like this soundtrack release.

Oh, sorry, I didn't realize people have to be member to download files bigger than 500mo. I'll reupload the soundtrack, but a simple membership (free) is enough, and it takes 30 seconds. It's kind of weird because part 3 is bigger than 500mo and it's possible to download it without membership...
Sorry for the inconvenience anyway, i'll fix it soon.

Thank you very much for the upload \o/
Well, I found a lot of rips on this thread, but there's also a lot of dead links. This is a requests list, for re-up, and for some CDs I haven't seen on the thread :
REQUEST LIST
Beyond Good And Evil OST : I have this one in mp3, I don't know if the FLAC version exists, if it doesn't, maybe there's a gamerip
Golden Sun 3 OSTs : maybe a gamerip
Megaman X Gamerip (RE-UP)
Metroid Prime 2 & 3 OST
Soul Calibur OST (
http://vgmdb.net/album/2112) : (RE-UP) the one on the thread has missing tracks and some CRC errors
Soul Calibur 2 OST (
http://vgmdb.net/album/142) (RE-UP)
Star Ocean 3 OST (Volume 1) (
http://vgmdb.net/album/2986) (RE-UP)
Star Ocean 3 Director's Cut OST (
http://vgmdb.net/album/2124)
Super Mario Sunshine OST
Concerning the Megaman Powered Up gamerip, there's one track in mp3 :
31 - Stage Editor (Complete Mix) If someone has the FLAC one... ^^ Same thing for 3 songs with Megaman Maverick Hunter X, but for three songs :
01 - Opening (Don't Wanna Be)
02 - Title
39 - Opening (Western)
And I see there's a lot of links concerning the Megaman Zero series, but they're all dead. I'd like at least the OSTs, but I'm interested in the others too =D
Please, can someone re-up that ? =o
If an OST doesn't exist in CD, as far as I'm concerned, a Gamerip would be fine.
Again, thank you very much to all uploaders, and I hope some of my requests will be upload ^^
Siala

Here is another track from the soundtrack of "The 3rd Birthday". All of the songs I edited and looped them with the program "Audacity 1.3 beta". The song that I extended this time is "Escape from UB -for The 3rd Birthday-". Extending this songs are time consuming but its worth it since I love those songs. This is another WAV format... Tell me what you think and enjoy!

According to VGMDB the Wild Arms collection posted is missing 3 Drama CDs, an arrange album, the original wild arms soundtrack (sounds different than complete tracks), and twilight venom.
One big caveat about the collection posted is that it has to all be downloaded, you can't pick a specific soundtrack to download.

I've recently been feeling like starting my Pokemon music collection, so nice timing with that. :P Thank you.
I'm kind of disappointed with the original Red/Green soundtrack mastering here. It sounds kind of muffled and with way too much reverberation. Sounds ugly (to me). :( Maybe it'll grow on me. Or I guess I'll do a transcode of the GBS rips then. And the original Gold/Silver, too.
Personal accurate rips w/ EAC. 100% logs + noncompliant cues.

Yes, yes, we've all heard it before. Why exactly are you saying this randomly for no reason? Are you trying to start the same old debate that's been gone over a thousand times before?

The SNES sound DSP outputs a 16-bit waveform at 32 kHz, so you'd not expect meaningful content above 16 kHz anyway. Usually all of the power is well below that too. On a side note, you can set the lowpass filter to whatever with LAME as noted many times before--you don't need to use all the default settings, though I don't see why not in most cases.

I think atobekeigo2 was referring to spaceharrierfan's problem downloading from RS [one of multiupload's mirrors], in which case the advice was completely reasonable: just try Megaupload, or Hotfile, or Uploading - those links are still alive.

I would have bought things without thinking twice if I had the chance too, but here where I live is quite problematic, mostly due to economical reasons, but also shipping problems. I would appreciate it very much if you told me where to find the lossless versions that you have. Or are they your personal rips?

Personal rips, and none of them would be good for most of you lossless users (I didn't get 100% on the Exact Audio Copy logs, because of scratches, I suppose).... That's the other part of reason I didn't want to share them here.... My Hero of Heroes on the Final Bout soundtrack skips a few seconds in the middle portion, for example. eBay and ASTOST were helpful to me with some old album, you might try your luck there.

I don't like CD quality music very much anymore. I'm moving on to DVD Audio and when I have the money buy a turntable and a Super CD player. Over the past few weeks I have discovered how amazing high resolution digital music sounds! I could go into the technical stuff here, but point is CD quality does not produce an accurate representation of the source material! Besides most receivers/amps/sound cards support
88.2khz/176khz/96khz/192khz sample rates and 20/24/32bits for christ's sakes! CD has it's measly 44.1khz sample rate! It's not just because because I can HEAR the difference, it's also about getting the most out of my equipment!
Here people squabble about the supposed difference between 320kbs CBR LAME MP3 and lossless CD rips. OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE! High sample rate music AND vinyl blows them BOTH out of the water!
I don't mean to be an ass here, it's that I'm frustrated that CD quality music dominates EVERYTHING! When there are superior alternatives!
Alright I'm done, I had to get this out of my system. I know this is a "releases thread" but I have donated several CD rips on here, and I feel I have the right to my say damnit!
Thank you to everyone for your releases over the years.
P.S. I'd like to request video game albums in high resolution, of course, If any even exist other than the Vinyl of Bioshock :P

We all of the people here... (or well, at least the ones that don't mention MP3 as an indistinguishable format) would prefer DVD Audio, BUT! it's just too much space... for the moment. You can compare it like this, our MP3 is the good old Redbook CD specification, always waiting for our big step towards a more appropriate lossless format.

Vinyl's dynamic range is inferior to the one Redbook is capable of. Get your facts right.

The point of vinyl is his peculiar sound signature and listening to the music itself without any conversion. On the other side, sourcing from the digital realm you'll be listening to the flavour of your DAC.
At the end choosing a taste is just a subjective choice.

Yeah, but also lets consider that each time that a vinyl plays... its dynamic range decreases even more. there was a reason because the CD was born after all.

Nonsense. With vinyl you always need a vinyl preamp to "rectify" the frequency response characteristics. And you need another amp (just like when using a digital source) for your signal, before you can actually listen it with acceptable volumes. Either way the signal goes through a lot of circuits (or through a vacuum tube, if you prefer that kind of amplification). Vinyl doesn't save you from any of this.

'Nonsense', such a bold word. Can you point on wich part of both statements are you applying that?

Secret Society - You make a great point, except this is a thread about game soundtracks and last time I checked most game soundtracks are released in CD and not in DVD-A or other 24-bit audio formats. Sure the occasional soundtrack is released on Vinyl and maybe some here and there are released in 24 bit lossless downloads (Distant Worlds II), but unless the labels start to follow suit, there isn't much point in worrying about that potential area.
Plus, as you may have noticed, many people here can't tell the difference between 320kbps MP3 and lossless. Are you suggesting that those same people should start hunting for these higher than CD quality releases? Maybe they should upgrade their equipment to appreciate the full potential of the formats they have access to before they start to look for something even better.
I really like the idea of these 24 bit audio releases or DVD-A or even Blu-Ray Audio but (i) most people don't have the proper equipment to notice a difference in playback, and (ii) most of these formats would create massive files that would make my bitching about re-uploading End of Eternity FLAC seem silly.

I have heard of those BluSpec CDs, and since a lot of people these days are getting BluRay players it makes sense. But then when DVD Audio discs came out a lot of people had DVD players too. I too have a turntable, and I like vinyl. It's rather like listening to a live performance somehow, so I can see why you'd say it has a greater dynamic range. But the truth is, it doesn't. The grooves are even specifically compressed in a manner to save space. The standard 12 inch 33 1/3 speed record doesn't hold much, and towards the center of most discs things literally get a bit fuzzy. .45s sound good, but they hold even less. I saw a copy of Metallica's Master of Puppets album on 12 inch .45 records, and it was a HUGE box. Records though awesome, really can't compare much with CDs. I agree that a better format needs to become the norm soon, but until maybe BluSpec becomes as cheap as CDs, they'll have to rein supreme for now. Even DSD and SuperAudio discs never really caught on, damn it. However, DVD Audio probably didn't catch on because one needed special players or newer multi players for them, which were expensive. Same for SACD. Maybe BluSpec has a chance if current BluRay players can play them. That would be interesting. Here's hoping.
Just did some research and I take that all back. BluSpec CDs are just redbook CDs made using blue laser technology. Why the bloody Hell should I pay so much extra for the same thing? I've studied digital circuits. The way it works folks is if it's digital, it wither works or it doesn't. This is the same bull as those silly gold CDs, because the aluminium used in current CDs isn't good enough. Would it kill them to just make a bloody high def audio disc?

Concerning the debate on sound quality:
VGM is not the place to be looking for higher than CD quality for the most part. Game music, when synthesized, is very often created from various sample libraries which could be anywhere from standard CD quality up. Perhaps in stuff from the past few years you could get consistent 24-bit samples, but I'm doubtful of the uniformity in sampling rates between all of the sounds a composer might use, so there's probably some resampling in there somewhere. I know there are many soundtracks solely recorded with live instruments, and maybe you could find pure high-res there, but easily the majority of videogame music falls short of that ideal. And of course the classic game music we all love is what it is. Like Playstation music for instance, sequenced music is locked in at 16-bit 44.1kHz and streamed music is compressed XA audio at 37.8kHz (meaning the soundtrack CDs are better sound quality with streamed music, most likely the best it can be, excluding bad mastering decisions. Sequenced music is often better in-game because it doesn't have those bad mastering choices like, for example, many of Square's late-'90s to mid-2000s CDs do).
Bit depth is also not all it's cracked up to be by some. It's kind of funny to me how people talk about the possible dynamic range as if bigger is always better. Trust me, you do not want the full dynamic range of 24-bit audio to be used. That would be going from the level of a pin drop all the way to the ear drum damaging volume of an explosion in one song. Even the 90 dB CDs offer would be really pushing it. I know I have some classical music that has too much range for my taste. I don't want to have to crank it way up for several minutes of really quiet stuff and then it get loud enough to be unpleasant.
As experts will tell you, greater bit depth's main benefit is in the production process, like recording, mixing, or mastering. At the end stage, the only difference is the very low level noise resulting from the dither applied when converting to 16-bit. I put this to the test one time, taking a 24/192 recording I made from a record and dithering to 16 and saving to a new file. I then inverted the phase of one of the files and combined the two, which causes a cancellation of all information that is the same between them, leaving only the differences remaining. Literally all I was left with was some light white noise hovering at about -60 dB. When amplified to regular volume, there was not one trace of anything musical remaining at all (meaning no music is lost in the conversion from 24 to 16-bit), it was just this noise that is basically inaudible when on its own and unamplified, let alone when actual music is covering it. I can show anyone how to do this test or provide samples so you can try it yourself.
I strongly recommend you read this (
http://drewdaniels.com/audible.pdf) though. It's a scientific test of CD versus supposed "high resolution", and that might sound like a tough read or something, but it's not. It's short and plainspoken. If I were you, I'd be more concerned about getting the standard CD quality up to the par it can handle and we should expect, like without so much unnecessary dynamic range compression and clipping, or the lack of multichannel audio. Those are things that would make real, audible differences. Even in the current console generation, a minority of game music is multichannel, even if surround sound claims are made. Take Final Fantasy XIII on PS3 for instance: 2-channel 128 kbps MP3. Seriously.
Hope I didn't ramble too much. That stuff being said, I'm willing to upload the Rise of Nations soundtrack, which has 24/48 stereo and 448 kbps Dolby Digital and 1510 kbps DTS 5.1 audio. I just have slow upload speed and it'll be rather large, so it'd take some time.

I know I have some classical music that has too much range for my taste. I don't want to have to crank it way up for several minutes of really quiet stuff and then it get loud enough to be unpleasant.Same here. The complaints against loudness war and everything being crunched to buggery are all valid, but riding the volume control is irritating too. There should be a happy middle ground.

I'm immediately suspicious about requests for music above CDDA spec, because at a minimum, you need spectacular ears and spectacular equipment to appreciate the distinction and even then it's up for debate. Or, as the paper that nothingtosay posted argues, any improvements you hear in SACD/DVD-A etc come from the music being well produced with a discerning consumer and solid hardware in mind, rather than having its dynamic range brick-walled for the regular consumer CD release (which is destined for iTunes and 128kbps AAC anyway). In a rigorous double blind test I can well believe that the vast majority of people simply aren't capable of making the distinction between CDDA and its superiors, and ridiculous specs like 24-bit/192kHz are certainly "emperor's new clothes" territory as far as I'm concerned.

Are you saying you could hear instruments that have a low volume in the mix that you couldn't before, and that's the relation to dynamic range you mean? I suppose that could be a possibility, but I'm guessing more likely they were instruments panned left or right and not at a high enough volume to be a lead instrument, and since MP3 places emphasis on the center at the expense of the sides, some of that could be noticeably cut. However, I'm betting that its bitrate was on the low side and it could even have been made with an old encoder, which increases the odds. I tried encoding "Flicker" from Dirge of Cerberus at 128 kbps AAC one time just out of curiosity and noticed some of the brass sound on the left missing at the very beginning. Everything that was there sounded just fine, but yes, some instruments went missing! However, this isn't gonna happen at higher bitrates. And while I don't think that 99% of the people who say they can tell the difference between high bitrate MP3s and lossless on any equipment, even the alleged best, I'm not really gonna argue against a preference for lossless instead of lossy. It's the idea of greater than CD resolution sounding supposedly obviously better that I am.
Thanks for backing me up, alc123. :D But, to be fair to iTunes, they started out with 128 kbps AAC, but now it's all ~256 VBR (in America at least. I know they didn't upgrade the old ones in Japan).
I should mention for those that might feel reading that study paper is tl;dr, they specifically used audiophiles and sound engineers as test subjects, listening on high end equipment, and they all failed to be able to tell the difference by statistically significantly more than their 50/50 odds of getting lucky.
What!!?? FLACs are perfectly easy to burn with various programs, including a free program called Burrrn!

That's exactly what i meant. I played Splinter Cell 5.1 and Halo Wars (which contains 9 5.1 tracks) this way (iso > burn > home theater) and this is just pure awesomeness. I'm now looking for other DVD-A / DVD that contains 5.1 tracks, and Rise of the Nations is one of them. I'm freeing space on my external HD, so before deleting stuff I thought I'd offer some lossless soundtracks of Super Robot Wars series. Sorry, I can't be bothered to tag and convert them, thus I'll upload them just like they were ripped by our Japanese friends. Here are the ones I have:
1. Super Robot Taisen F Original Soundtrack & Arrange Album (VGMdb (

You guys should consider using this sub-forum to discuss details on sound quality, etc and go back to having this thread deal with only soundtrack links/requests.
Anime & Video Game Music Discussion (
http://forums.ffshrine.org/anime-video-game-music-discussion/)
AGREEEEEEEEEEEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The simple (yet utterly prudent) act of diversifying different thread topics (keywords: 'different' and 'topics') was/is perhaps the single-most important thing to have ever occurred in the brief [albeit notorious] history of web-forums. Little appreciation is shown towards this crowning innovation however.

Yeah Mp3 would be better than nothing ^^ thanks

Yes, pretty much I can tell the difference, and my Mp3 were 320 Kbps with not only one source and not with just one set of speakers, but various. Now now, before you thinking that I may be presuming too much about my hearing, let me tell you a very interesting side effect: Some times when people talk to me I don't understand nothing that they are telling to me, not because they are speaking wrongly, but because to me they tent to "dash the words". It occurs in my mother language (spanish) a bit more frequently in English but really worse in German, were sometimes I simply don't understand not one bit while others have perfectly received the message. Yep, I'm weird.

Anyway, I saw your requests, if you're still interested I should have:

Here this OST I found:

The only official release is this CPDA-10061 | Capcom Special Selection: Rockman Dash 2 - VGMdb (
http://vgmdb.net/album/15661) , which only has like 20% of the tracks. I am still looking for this in lossless.
Legends 2 cannot be ripped to PSF at the moment. I think one would have to record the audio while playing the game. There is a rip like that out there, but it's 128kbps CBR MP3:
