I once tried to make a lossless gamerip of this, problem is:

After extracting all the sound files from the big files and converting those to WAV you get like 500 little short cues, some are already in the correct order and some not.

It takes lots and lots of time to do this, so I just stopped...

There already is a dedicated thread for Biohazard stuff and it is really good, organized and worth searching for!!

This is easy to solve but first I have a question, since I have no idea how the files are classified, for example multiple tracks or in a big flac file. I do not want to download it to find out, do me a favour show me up to line 10 of the cue file. You do not need to show me all the cue file. It would be best if you could upload the cue file somewhere momentary.

Always place "Wave" at the front of the filename, also always use "" when listing a filename to be found by Windowhandle. Check if the filename matches what is written inside the cue file.

Also, I have the Symphony of the Night OST in FLAC, but it's a version I downloaded in which the tracks DO loop at least once before ending. So obviously some form of editing went on there, but according to the uploader what he edited were the FLAC files, at no point was it compressed or normalized, so again, if you want it, just say so.

edit: iforgot to tell i have a hard time to rip the disc 2 of star ocean 3 with eac, I bought it in hand(i don't know if it's a correct expression in english,i bought it to someone), there are many scratches, it play well on players , but fail on eac , i try with 2 cd players and it's the same. so i try rip it with cdex , so it's not a perfect rip and have no cue or log .
i will try another time when i can have a new player. do you know a software with which one i can rip it and eventually have a cue? and do you want me to upload it like that or do you prefer me to rip it with another soft and then upload (i think i can do it quick on another computer ) ?

Distant Worlds was a recent Nobuo Uematsu Final Fantasy Concert Series. This is all arrangements played by the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra

Shadow of the sun said all, but, that's not a final fantasy concert like the other, there's too many cd of that sort and there's all the same, these one ,is by far the best of them all , the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra do a great job, some tracks like "memoro de la stono" or the "opera "maria and draco" are just beautiful, i think nobody regret to take a hear on that album, it's a must have, if you have to take a final fantasy concert album, that's this one.

As for drammatica, all the tracks on this album was reorchestrated, if you're a fan of yoko shimomura, you'll love this one :-)

Also do you see a CUE as well as the flac files? Open the .cue file with foobar 2000 and it should show you each track separately.

Yeah one of the tracks on the game contained chants from some religious text. Followers of that religion objected to it, so when the CD was released they removed the vocals from it and just kept the musical underscore.

You actually had me fooled, I thought it was Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis. :p

All you have to look at is the picture or the tracklisting to know it isn't the original 16-bit one.

Being a Sonic fan I still feel like I need to eventually play that other "next-gen" one, but I've also heard how bad the game is and I detested the demo's level design...

It's so hard to be a Sonic fan these days :\

I think I got it at that Galbadia Hotel site. It's mp3s at 128. Sounds good, has the sound effects in the background of course, but remembering the game, the background effects like the ocean were pretty pleasant...one of the few rips I like with the effects...has 34 tracks.

The Skies of Arcadia FLAC I have (not my rip) didn't even make it through the FLAC test phase, giving back 3 errors. I can listen to the files fine in Winamp, but there are some noticeable slight skips on a few songs, and so that's probably the cause of them.

Warcraft Collection (1994-2009)


Just a heads up, some of these are actually flac'd from 22khz wav. Guess that's the only way they could fit all that music on a CD back then. Unfortunately though, it means it's about as good as normal FM radio broadcast quality. So, technically anyway, it's not lossless as we usually know it (44khz, or CD quality).

But it's as good as the in-game quality anyway, and I guess there's no official better ones out there.

So if you see MP3s of these out there, it means it'll only sound worse:

- Warcraft: Orcs and Humans
- Warcraft: Tides of Darkness

It'll have to do, unless someone leaks the original studio masters.

The weird thing is... 22khz wav files seem to show up just as lossless in the spectrum graphs, so it's a good thing programs just know whether it's a 22k or 44k and show that in the file info.

I really don't know how you'd confirm it visually otherwise.

I repost it as no one seems have noticed it, i have a hard time rip cd 2 of the star ocean vol1 ost with eac, i was unable to do it cause of the too many scratches(but it play well ), i do it with cdex and try now with foobar, so, that's not a perfect rip, and with no cue or log.

Luckily, you're not me. Believe it or not, I sincerely like Takayuki Nakamura's work for EHRGEIZ: God Bless the Ring. To tell the truth, I already had this OST, it was a birthday gift that my stepsister gave to me 04 November, 1999. By the time I learned about Exact Audio Copy and lossless rips my copy was too scratched for a perfect outcome of the encode, that's why I asked here. Since nothing was showing up I searched a bit on my own and was lucky enough to find an american online store which sold it for 29.99$ (now that same site has only 3 copies of the album available for sale).
I thought that "TheCureforCancer" or whatever was his/her nickname might as well buy a physical copy of the album, since it seemed he/she wanted it so badly. Just for info, I've got the goddamn right to say that I bought XXX, but I'm not willing to share it, if I want. It's just another way to say "Show your appreciation to the artist and buy the damn thing", afterall ;)

...it sounds like ileferru is more a collector than a listener, if he's not willing to open his copy. And if he's not opening his copy, well then he can't copy it.

The Akumajou Dracula Best collection contains the original soundtracks to Castlevania 1, 2, and 3. There's also an arranged version of "Beginning" (which can be found on at least two other CDs) and the Haunted Castle version of Bloody Tears. It should also be noted that the soundtracks are from the Japanese versions of the games. In the Famicom versions, Konami used special sound chips in order that the music and sound effects were enhanced.

I decided to rerip the SSBM Orchestra (whose titled I just discovered: Smashing!) as a single FLAC file with CUE / LOG. Will be up today sometime.

The jsharer download always cuts off for me. Am I doing something wrong? =(

That happened to me a couple times. What I ended up doing was getting a download manager like FlashGet (which they recommend) and capturing the link using FlashGet. That way, if it cuts out, you can resume the download.

By the way, just a few reminders for those that are using Exact Audio Copy to rip their CDs. It's a good idea to check the following settings:

Navigate to EAC > EAC Options > Extraction <tab>
This is the correct setting for EAC. Removing the check sign actually enables the feature.


Navigate to EAC > EAC Options > Tools <tab>
If the CD contains ISRC codes, they will be generated in the CUE sheet and contain a mix of letters and numbers like this: ISRC JPTO00000237


Navigate to EAC > Drive Options > Gap Detection <tab>
This will affect the accuracy that your drive is able to detect the gaps that are between tracks.


And try to use Test & Copy... whenever AccurateRip is not able to confirm one of the tracks (generates Test CRC and Copy CRC in the log file), this is the second verification.

Although a Disc image (works fine in foobar2000/Winamp) is preferred by some, myself included, and can always be split into multiple tracks at any time, use whatever method you're most comfortable with, they are both equally as accurate and will look exactly the same when using a CUE sheet to burn to CD. :)

* (To avoid confusion with all of the ending tracks, there was a good and a bad realtime cut scene for each character for ARCADE mode, as well as a story book ending for each in Edge Master mode. Some characters had a few more)

Isn't it ridiculous HOW MANY versions there are of the same soundtrack? It's all the same, but slightly different... I believe that there is one more version of the same soundtrack although I can't remember what it is and it's not the Kahn Super Session... I have to dig out my removable harddrive to see... I remember I have about 3-4 different arrangements in lossy .mp3. I think it may be the original arcade score, but different than the ported arcade score... if that makes any sense.

LOL at the password- Banguuu! I remember playing this with friends when it first came out. We were 16-17 and to us, being Italian-Americans, it always sounded like Rock was saying "Funguuul!" Which is the Italian slang equivalient to "oh, f*** this!" or "go f*** yourself!" but it can be adapted to any situation really that involves frustration where an f-bomb is needed...

I had read somewhere that AR works off the copy CRC, which would be different if null samples were not included in the calculation, but until I can find this article again and confirm this, I will change up this line of information. :)

Yeah one of the tracks on the game contained chants from some religious text. Followers of that religion objected to it, so when the CD was released they removed the vocals from it and just kept the musical underscore.

That track is titled "Tapha Niang" performed by Toumani Diabat�'s Symmetric Orchestra, it's from their "Boulevard de l'Ind�pendance (2006)" album. I have the entire album in lossless.

Does any have "Sins of A Solar Empire" Soundtrack? I'm not too fond of the ones in my game's directory, since they have no taggings and are lossy.

It was a lot of work. And still am not completely happy with it. I see I did not tag the titles correctly, and there are a few fade outs I need to fix.

But still it was fun and I wanted the music anyways.

Yeah the most notable difference in the arranged is the improved intros (Rock's theme now has a grand opening cue before it hits the main theme)and the use of a horn sound in place of lesser dynamic string synths. It has a more dramatic ambiance compared to the original.

Well, SNKHero did up some good stuff. And whoever upped Megaman Legends, it's appreciated. But personally I seem to have trouble finding official Rockman albums, especially the older stuff from when the music was just godly.

I'm a huge fan of the "Blue Bomber's" sound myself.

I have compiled my own single CD of MMs 1-3 music, every track looped, ripped from an NSF file using Winamp's file output. I arranged all the tracks in a more listenable order (ie they don't just start at MM and end at MM3, but are more mixed up to keep it interesting and unpredictable). Listen to it all the time.

I could put it up if anyone wants it. But it is "unofficial" of course.

Antraxx- No, I think the one I'm talking about is on the side of that one... it's called "Soul Edge Arcade Edition Original Soundtrack- Super Battle Sound Attack". I remember I had a BAD psx rip from about 7 years ago of the "arcade" arrange on Playstation and then I listened to this one and it was different. Again, I have to dig out my harddrive to see... there's a good chance I'm mistaken and maybe a tad confused. If it is different I'll upload it so you can listen to it, even though it's lossy. Just so you can hear it.

By the way, did anybody else notice that the Ehrgeiz soundtrack was a bit screwy? The cues were all messed up and referrenced things that didn't exist. After trying to fix the cues unsuccessfully, I decided to convert the whole soundtrack to .wav and cut the tracks MANUALLY... what a pain in the ass!

My point being that if anybody was having trouble and wants it, I now have the Ehrgeiz soundtrack cut into seperate tracks for both discs in .wav format. I'll upload it, just ask! Then you can convert it to whatever you want.

They are illegal reprints usually manufactured in countries where copyright laws are very loose. So long as they don't put the actual name of the company on the product and have a separate catalog number... apparently they can get away with it.

It is highly unlikely a "professional" bootleg would be of any less in audio quality as this is digital media we're talking about, the only thing you might get are skips if the pressing was not very good. So long as the data transferred, the music should be the same.

It's possible a bootlegger might use MP3s, but I have never seen this from the main bootleg houses: Ever Anime, Sonmay... etc. I have seen stupid amateur eBay sellers try to get away with retarded "home made" copies though. Most main bootleggers will acquire an actual copy of the real thing, and just make copies from that.

Another obvious problem with bootlegs is the poor print material included with the album. On average bootleggers cannot afford to print the booklet and sleeves at the same quality as the original producers. The image on the CD itself is usually grainier too.

If you want to be sure that an album that you have in your collection is the original copy, you can compare the catalog numbers that are on the album case and/or the inner ring on the underside of the CD(s) to the info at VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/db/albums.php).

It's possible a bootlegger might use MP3s, but I have never seen this from the main bootleg houses: Ever Anime, Sonmay... etc. I have seen stupid amateur eBay sellers try to get away with retarded "home made" copies though. Most main bootleggers will acquire an actual copy of the real thing, and just make copies from that.

I have some copies of bootleg Anime/VGM albums from Ever Anime, I buy them because it's near impossible to find the original ones here in Malaysia. One of the main reason being that the original copies from Japan are EXTREMELY expensive, so record companies here couldn't be bothered to bring them in... Most of us Anime/Video Game fans here have to rely on bootlegs... :(

I tried the rest of your Sonic 2006 OST: failed. I've been trying all day, but MediaFire won't let me through...

Lament of Innocence would prove to be Michiru Yamane's only third time attempting a console Castlevania soundtrack. Other than Symphony of the Night and Bloodlines, all the rest of her music was for handhelds with limited sound hardware. She would say later how she felt there were "no excuses" to under deliver with the powerful sound and storage capabilities of the PS2 DVDs.

One would hardly say she did. An intricate mix of the rich symphonic sound she accomplished with Symphony on top of some new experimentation with techno and house motifs, LoI's soundtrack is full of graceful dark ambiance, culminating with a standout character theme that would change her style forever, as she'd go back to it's essence from there on out.

One of Michiru Yamane's most accomplished works to date.
Playing off her newly developed style, she layers dark brooding strings and haunting choirs over upbeat house and rock tempos. There's even a healthy dose of hard rock gutiars and drums for the epic boss battles, and she incorporates "oldschool" bass motifs for a couple of songs, as this game was a late-coming sequel to Dracula's Curse. Throw in some baroque hapsichord and even an opera piece sung by Russell Watson, and you've got a soundtrack that is far more dynamic than the game itself ever was.

Forest of Jigramunt is one of my favorite pieces from her.

The very first foray of the Castlevania series into the realm of 3D. Met with mixed reviews from both critics and fans, the game, and especially its music, did manage a very ambient, film-like presentation, utilizing some eccentric Nintendo 64 sounds for suspenseful cues and several tense crescendos. There's plenty of memorable tunes under the surface of it all, but it's unlike any other Castlevania soundtrack to date.

At one point Network did have a Flac version up for sale - which is where this probably came from. I almost brought it myself. Shame if they have removed it and are now only offering mp3.
