There are quite a few amazing OST's on here :) A huge thanks to Sirusjr for the "Bayonetta 5CD" OST and Dex|ter for the "Silent Hill: Homecoming" OST :D Does anyone happen to have "Siren 1", "Siren 2", and "Siren: New Translation" in lossless format? These games are also known as "Forbidden Siren 1", "Forbidden Siren 2", and "Siren: Blood Curse" in the E.U. I haven't been able to find these, so far =/// And does anyone have Phantasy Star I, II, III, and IV in lossless? I saw another thread for Phantasy Star, but it wasn't in lossless format. If anyone has any of these, I'd love if you would post them :)

Hey alc123, could you please tell me why EAC is better?I noticed some of your releases didn't have cue or log files, gap detection etc and assumed dbpowerAMP still lacked that functionality. A quick search indicates I was wrong.
Use whatever you like so long as it does the job properly.
Apparently there were some troubles with previously uploaded OSTs of Hitman 2 & 3, like the archives were corrupt or so.
Here's a new accurate rip.
Not mine, the credit goes to music4games @ rutracker.org.

Man there's just so many opinions and discussion boards about how one should make an accurate rip.
I'd really wish to get some free time and research this matter thoroughly.
And an idea just popped in my head: if a person would wanna make a flawless 1:1 backup copy of a CD for himself or to share with others, wouldn't it be best to create an image (iso) of the disc?
Sure the tracks are not gonna be tagged but its as lossless to original as it gets isn't it?
KaFaraqGatri

dBpowerAmp is AccurateRip enabled (which amazingly some people havent heard of on here). That means, so long as your drive is properly configured -- which dB does for you -- you will get a 1:1 rip of the CD. Failing that, making an image will work and you can mount that image in DaemonTools Lite (for instance) or burn to a CD and your ripping program or iTunes will automatically fill in the album info for you as it would with the original.

MiL0, see the link on the first page about how to set up EAC. I used that originally. I can't exactly articulate why it is better and perhaps there is not a huge difference but it is what most of my friends on other forums use for ripping lossless.
KaFaraqGatri

I personally dont use it. FLAC gives you a compressed, 1:1 encode of the original signal. In FLACs frontend app or dBpowerAmp, you can even check the Verify box to make sure it ripped 100% perfectly. Couple that with AccurateRip, you wont have any issues. Its a lot quicker.
Even without AccurateRip and all that, a FLAC rip of a CD will sound exactly the same to you! :)
My 1 TB hard drive is full thanks to all of you. :(
I guess I need to upgrade to 4 TB! :D
THX for all great uploads!
haha wow!
I'm just using a 500GB laptop, so I can't hold FLAC even if I wanted to.. =P
My music files take up 10GB out of 500GB when all are AAC @ 320kbps.

So making an iso is not sucha bad idea after all.
Also I've seen some interesting combo strategies involving both EAC + dBpowerAmp.

Now I see why you were requesting Xenogears ost in mp3, coz at first I though 'jsut get it from lossless thread and convert it yourself, you slacker' :p (no offense hehe)
But hey everyone has his reasons... and passions... one of mine is listening to game music in best quality available :-)
haha!
Well, I guess I went for the 2nd best option below FLAC, and AAC happened to be playable on my Nintendo DSi. =P
Overall, it's been fun converting and labeling music files, and I appreciate all your contributions <3
Thanks!

So making an iso is not sucha bad idea after all.two things:
1/ You lose the compression that FLAC brings (~40% reduction in file size)
2/ CDDA does not contain a filesystem so I'm not sure .iso would be suitable, i.e. it might not work depending on what tool you use. Whatever tool you did use would need to know how to detect gaps, at which point you might as well use something more suitable in the first place.

No, or well... it depends on what you associate with the term ISO. Like I already mentioned many times, extracting Redbook is a terrible job because the format is somewhat flawed. This starts with the mediocre amount of error correcting and detecting data and ends with the inability to properly seek to sectors (offset problem). As long as you extract Yellowbook sectors you don't have to worry about all that, Redbook is where the trouble begins...

Yeah. Asterix, Rescue, and The Smurfs are great NES soundtracks. But those seem to be the only NES games with his music, unfortunately.
I don't think Rescue was done by him first hand. Apparently he did the soundtrack for the Spectrum/Amstrad/MSX versions originally. Someone else did the NES version. They're still his compositions though, and I think the NES versions sound the best by far.

Yeah! That was actually how I found out about those games to begin with: is by accidently visiting Derrick Sobodash's web-page. Back when he was actively translating those games. But then he had a change of a laptop... and inability to run Heroine Anthem due to incompatibility of cd protection software with his new hardware. Bah and everybody gets blue balls. Man I'm sure there's gotta be a way around that...

Here is a significant portion of the Command & Conquer music by Frank Klepacki. Keep reading because I need help getting the last 2 games to complete this discography...
I'm still trying to get Command & Conquer Sole Survivor and Red Alert Retaliation.
I tried to buy Command & Conquer Sole Survivor but the Amazon seller wont ship to Canada. I tried to download it and whoever made that image didn't take good care of their game disc. It was full of errors and the music was corrupted. On Amazon it's cheap (about $9) (link (
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0009AF77M/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&qid=1275165079&sr=8-1&condition=used)). Does anybody in the US want to buy it and send me a CCD/IMG of the game so we can create a complete C&C music collection?
I've downloaded Red Alert Retaliation to see if there is any lossless music on it. It has a large data.xa file which is supposed to contain the PSX music but I haven't figured out how to extract it yet. It may be low quality music but the MP3 soundtrack I found seems to indicate that there is a high quality source of those songs somewhere... Documentation on extracting music from PSX games is scarce and the tools are even scarcer. Help would be very much appreciated!
Oh, does anybody have C&C3, C&C4, RA3 in lossless? If you do please share it!

Great share, though the GigaSize file host seems rather quirky and uncanny.
If I may, I'll re-upload these on MegaUpload. I'll make my own threads since each album is required to have its own thread.
Only have the first album so far, due to GigaSize's quirks, so that'll be all for the mo'.

ok im seeding (are you the guy from japan???) but its not gonna be that fast im am in Canada where we have a choice between Bell and Robers i mean Rogers. These companies are literally evil and regularly steal and fraud their own customers I pay 50 dollars a month and only get 512kbps upload rate, well really they were giving me 256kbps but I had to call them and tell them to give me what I paid for because they will lower your speeds if you don't notice.
I'm not the guy from japan, what's your trackers list ?

Just found this site and it's awesome, massively appreciate all the work you guys put in to ripping and uploading this stuff.
A bunch of soundtracks I'm after need re-upping though.
I'm currently collecting Tekken, Pokmon and Sonic music, I'm after the ones below the most, but any would be appreciated!
TEKKEN 3 PlayStation Soundtrack 002
Tekken 5 & Tekken Dark Resurrection Original Soundtrack
Tekken 6 Soundtrack
Pokmon FireRed & LeafGreen Music Super Complete
True Blue: The Best of Sonic the Hedgehog (current upload is still up, but winrar says tracks 16 and 17 are corrupt)
True Colors: The Best of Sonic the Hedgehog Part 2
I know that's a lot, but if they're down they could do with re-upping anyway right? Thanks in advance!

Ok, I added it on top of my tackers list and i finally got a peer from the US.
Maybe you can try to add it (
http://www.gamemp3s.net/tracker/announce.php ) on top of your list because I still don't see you.
The detailed info pane allows you to view detailed information about the selected torrent job that isn't available in the torrent job list itself. There are several tabs, each of which contain different types of information. The detailed info pane's visibility can be toggled by selecting "Options" then "Show Detailed Info" in the main menus, or by pressing F5 on the keyboard. The last selected tab before Torrent is exited will be automatically selected on the next start.
The Trackers tab displays the trackers that Torrent is currently using for the selected torrent job.
"Add Tracker..." opens the torrent properties dialog, where you can add trackers to the tracker list.
Ans you should probably enable Initial Seeding it enables a more bandwidth efficient method of seeding the torrent job(s). This should be used only if you are the sole seeder in the swarm, and if there are at least 2 peers connected.

That would do, I can always replace it with a version with a log later if someone uploads one. No idea if you can still buy the Tekken 6 soundtrack, if I could I'd probably have to import it and end up paying more for that than I did for the actual game
Is there a proper request forum on this site? Looks like it could use one.

Oh, nice. I'll post something to complement that.
First, this is the highest quality unedited boxart I've found for it. I use it as its cover for mine.

(950x950, won't hotlink)
And second, you know how the tracks are arranged like how they are in the disc code? I thought that order was a pain to browse so I made this cmd that massively changes all names to one I find better. For example:
004 Battlefield
> 01 01 Battlefield
153 Dialga - Palkia Battle at Spear Pillar!
> 16 02 Dialga - Palkia Battle at Spear Pillar!
180 Against the Dark Knight
> 18 08 Against the [Black] Knight (correction because Brawl guys got his name wrong)
In other words:
It renumbers the songs so that they are ordered just like in the stage select. (01-31 Brawl Stages, 32-41 Melee, 42 Menu, 43 Brawl songs, 44 Subspace Emissary, and 45 Misc)
Followed by a second number that orders them just like in My Music
And it makes VERY few fixes that are clear translation mistakes, but shows those corrections in brackets anyways so it will show it's been corrected (but I think Black Knight's might be the only one)
Best thing is that, I made two Cmds. One that renames it like I said it will, and another that turns it back into its original naming. Just for those indecisive ones out there.
Anyways, here (
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GN847RSN) you can download them if you want them.

They all loop twice, as far as I know.

Is it the complete ISO? From first appearances, it looked like it was just ripped clips.

Thanks so much for all these soundtracks! Now only if I had rapidshare pro so I don't have to wait an hour between downloads :(
@TwinkelSnow : If you talking about rapidshare from multiupload links, then...
1) You could copy/paste links into Jdownloader and walk away, so there's no need to actually sit and wait.
2) You could download part1 from rapidshare, next part2 from megaupload, part3 from something else... without waiting in between.
And even though the parts are on different file host websites, the are identical, and there is no problem extracting it afterwards.

Redbook audio from the Sega Saturn version of Arcade Gears: Image Fight & X Multiply. These arcade recordings are surprisingly clean and very listenable compared to most other console-ported arcade audio. Drawbacks on this disc include a lack of fade-outs and a huge disparity in volume between the two games (tracks from Image Fight are very soft compared to X Multiply).
It's great music from one of Irem's most talented composers, no matter what form it takes.

I'd wonder how it was ripped, using Apple Lossless. An EAC equivalent on Mac would be nice.

I really wish, dude. I mean, I really wish I could AFFORD a Mac... But this album was encoded at 16-bits in the first place, so an EAC on Mac would offer no better sound resolution (not that everything on Mac doesn't sound and look better, by default)... if that helps your case any...
Plus, it's lossless. Everything lossless can be decompressed at a deeper bitrate, at a higher frequency. Wonderful thing about no quality loss. I'd still prefer 16-bits anyhow, though because of two things:
1. My stereo output is only two channel.
2. I don't have space for 100 MB friggin' music files, and they would take much, much longer to upload.
I encoded the files with Windows 7, iTunes Ver. 10.2.0.34, using a low rip speed, No error correction.
Still looking for Sonic Rush, and Cuts Unleashed: SA2 Vocals, any lossless format would be fabulous! Hell, as long as I can get Cuts Unleashed, I'll be happier than a pig in shit!

roughrider_z

How is that...?
16-bits at 44.1 kHz, or Redbook Standard Audio, is the highest decompression rate that iTunes uses for Windows. These files are usually around 20-30% compressed. Now, because they are compressed with the proper software, a vast majority of it being freeware, these files can easily be decompressed, assuming that they are not first burned onto another audio CD, or converted into a lossy format, which would encode the files into that set bitrate/frequency, or whatever lossy bitrate/frequency, permanently (Duh.) Anybody with a half a brain and the latest version of Foobar can easily test this for themselves (Converting the bitrate and/or frequency), and hear the difference, which will be quite obvious, assuming, that is, that they have a 24-bit multi-channel, or higher, speaker output, which I do not have, and I likely never will, so 16-bit dual-channel audio is just fine, for me.
What doesn't make sense? If you're criticizing me, or correcting a wrong, please be specific, or you leave me in the dark, which does no good for either of us.

16-bits at 44.1 kHz, or Redbook Standard Audio
There is no such a thing as Redbook Standard Audio. It's only Red Book and it describes the tech specs for CDDA.
is the highest decompression rate that iTunes uses for Windows.
Red Book has nothing to do with compression or decompression. Red Book specifies the way LPCM (linear-quantization pulse code modulation) data is stored on CDDA and LPCM is an uncompressed format.
See also:
Red Book (CD standard) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Book_(audio_CD_standard))
These files are usually around 20-30% compressed.
Wrong, LPCM is not a compressed format.
See here:
Pulse-code modulation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulse-code_modulation)
If we were talking about delta modulation it were different.
Now, because they are compressed with the proper software, a vast majority of it being freeware, these files can easily be decompressed, assuming that they are not first burned onto another audio CD, or converted into a lossy format, which would encode the files into that set bitrate/frequency, or whatever lossy bitrate/frequency, permanently (Duh.)
Wrong, because your assumption is already wrong.
Anybody with a half a brain and the latest version of Foobar can easily test this for themselves (Converting the bitrate and/or frequency), and hear the difference, which will be quite obvious, assuming, that is, that they have a 24-bit multi-channel, or higher, speaker output, which I do not have, and I likely never will, so 16-bit dual-channel audio is just fine, for me.
This makes even less sense. Converting 16-bit to 24-bit just scales the sample values to the new range. It doesn't and can't introduce any new information to the bitstream, since these information is simply not there.
What doesn't make sense? If you're criticizing me, or correcting a wrong, please be specific, or you leave me in the dark, which does no good for either of us.
Was that specific enough?

Do something for me:
Hover your mouse over a 16-bit lossless audio file.
If you have Windows 7, or a newer Mac OS, it will give you expanded information, which includes the percentile of compression.
Switch the sample rate to 24-bits or higher using a standard audio conversion program.
Look at the new percentile of compression. It will say 0%.
If you rip a 24-bit CD into a 16-bit audio file, the rates HAVE to be compressed, and the CD quality will be diluted. Simple as that, mathematics. However, because the files are lossless, they still have the ability to attain the original audio, and, I have tried this with a 24-bit output system, you most CERTAINLY will hear a difference, because the file has been decompressed from a 16-bit stream that was originally higher to begin with. Give it a try.
No, you're right, it CAN'T introduce new information to the file, the information is already there, it is a lossless format, and lossless formats CAN be converted absolutely to any other lossless format. If the bitrate from the original audio CD, however, is already 16-bits, you CANNOT have a higher bitstream.
Quotes from a source you listed:
2 channels of LPCM audio, each signed 16-bit values sampled at 44100 Hz
The Red Book specifies the physical parameters and properties of the CD, the optical "stylus" parameters, deviations and error rate, modulation system (eight-to-fourteen modulation, EFM) and error correction (cross-interleaved Reed-Solomon coding, CIRC), and subcode channels and graphics.
I'm aware that "Red Book" is not a form of compression. However, it IS possible to compress files TO Red Book, if they have higher frequencies than what Red Book can output.

Using XFCE4 on gentoo linux here, so I can't do you that favor.
Switch the sample rate to 24-bits or higher using a standard audio conversion program.
First of all: Why should one do that?
Next: The sampling rate isn't measured in bits, it's measured in Hz (or samples per second).
Look at the new percentile of compression. It will say 0%.
This is useless information, since you have absoutely no idea how this value of 0% was computed.
If you rip a 24-bit CD into a 16-bit audio file
This can't be done, because a 24-bit CDDA simply doesn't exist.
the rates HAVE to be compressed, and the CD quality will be diluted
See above. This is plain nonsense, since (again) your assumptions don't hold.
However, because the files are lossless
What files? There is no filesystem structure on a CDDA. If you are that smart you should know this already.
I have tried this with a 24-bit output system
Playing back Red Book data from a CDDA with a 24-bit output system won't get you any benefit compared to a 16-bit output system.
you most CERTAINLY will hear a difference
Wrong.
because the file has been decompressed from a 16-bit stream that was originally higher to begin with. Give it a try.
Wrong.
No, you're right, it CAN'T introduce new information to the file, the information is already there
Again wrong. You can introduce additional information, but NOT by resampling or changing the bitrate of the data.
it is a lossless format, and lossless formats CAN be converted absolutely to any other lossless format.
I won't argue about that one.
If the bitrate from the original audio CD, however, is already 16-bits, you CANNOT have a higher bitstream.
Uhm, the format on a CDDA is always the same, since it's specified by the Red Book.
I'm aware that "Red Book" is not a form of compression. However, it IS possible to compress files TO Red Book, if they have higher frequencies than what Red Book can output.
You're misusing the term compression.
To summarize:
All PCM data that is stored on a CDDA (compact disc digital audio) has to conform to the Red Book standard, which means it has to have the following features:
- linear PCM format
- 44100 Hz sampling rate
- 16 bits bitrate
- 2 channels
You simply can't store any other format on a CDDA, so you will never see a bitstream with 24 bits bitrate on such a disc. Period.
Therefore it's utter nonsense to bring up 24-bit outputs in this context. You just don't have such material in this context.
Er... sorry guys, I'm just gonna post this here real quick and thats all...
*Personal Accurate rip.

For the record, I think you must be misunderstanding what's going on somewhere along the way. LiquidAcid's account accurately describes the situation.
Anyway, I have Windows 7, but I was unable to find this percentile of compression that you're referring to. What kind of lossless file are you looking at? A CD image (iso or similar)? WAV? FLAC? ALAC? APE?
Maybe you're talking about the compression rate of a lossless audio codec compared to uncompressed PCM?
On a side note...thanks for navigating the war in here to deliver Halo Wars, MiL!

I wake up in the next morning only to find out that my single question about sources has led to a massive tech debate again lol.
I mostly agree with LuquidAcid but I'd express my view more simplistically: What's initially on a CD is all you can get and preserve. Bit-depths, channels, sampling rate, etc. Most of the times trying anything to alter those parameters would not be considered an improvement over the original contents.
I encoded the files with Windows 7, iTunes Ver. 10.2.0.34, using a low rip speed, No error correction.
I'm not of the kind that's like "hurr it's not EAC thus it automatically sucks", but I'd still doubt how good iTunes is at being a CD ripper.
Still looking for Sonic Rush, and Cuts Unleashed: SA2 Vocals, any lossless format would be fabulous! Hell, as long as I can get Cuts Unleashed, I'll be happier than a pig in shit!

I read this, starting agreeing, and then was confused when you brought up thermodynamics. Information-theoretic entropy (well, entropy rate and rate distortion theory) is much more relevant to this discussion and is the basis behind data compression.

You're right. I didn't believe it, though, I believed my ears, because I sincerely hear better, overall sound structure when I convert 16-bit anything to a deeper bitrate and a higher sample-rate. I was under the assumption that something like SACD (which I have many of) was standardized, and it's a shame that it isn't. Sorry.
I also do see the information on Windows, or Mac; whenever the file is 16-bits, lossless, it shows that a portion of the file is compressed. This puzzles me so, because if most CDs are 16-bit (except, like, SACD and Chesky Records), why should a 16-bit lossless audio track be compressed at all...?

Are there many high fidelity video game soundtracks available at all, even besides HDCD? I thought most were rather simple recordings.

Best quality I have of this is LAME 3.97 VBR -V0, so unfortunately I don't have it either. Have you ever been able to distinguish LAME -V0 vs. lossless in a blind test, like ABX? I think for the vast majority of people, most or all tracks in -V0 are pretty much transparent. I don't mean to be presumptuous, but maybe this -V0 quality is sufficient? If you currently have a lower-quality version and want this -V0 encode, I wouldn't mind uploading (in another thread of course).

You're right. I didn't believe it, though, I believed my ears, because I sincerely hear better, overall sound structure when I convert 16-bit anything to a deeper bitrate and a higher sample-rate.
Then your audio drivers are broken. A lot of cheap audio codecs (onboard, etc.) are based on a DAC that only understands a certain bitstream format and therefore the driver has to internally apply resampling and bitrate conversion. While bitrate conversion is usually quite simple (upscaling is only a simple bitshift) the operation 'resampling' is a very delicate one.
See this webpage for information on one of the quality open-source resampling engine:
Secret Rabbit Code (aka libsamplerate) (

SACD is standardized, but that's totally unrelated here. Furthermore SACD doesn't use linear PCM for representation but some format that is called DSD. DSD works entirely different compared to PCM.
And the last time I had a look there was still no optical driver for the regular computer that could read the DSD portion of the disc (keep in mind that SACDs always are hybrids and have a normal CDDA layer to stay backward-compatible).
This puzzles me so, because if most CDs are 16-bit (except, like, SACD and Chesky Records), why should a 16-bit lossless audio track be compressed at all...?
I don't understand what is puzzling here? Let's say you extract raw audio data from a CDDA, say e.g. 1000 frames (I assume you know what a frame in the context of Red Book is, if not look it up yourself). Then we're looking at 2352000 bytes of raw data. We put a header in front of the raw data to get your usual WAV file, but let us omit the header for now (since header = metadata and we're not interested in this). Then use an arbitrary lossless codec like e.g. FLAC and encode the data with it. Say that the encoder outputs 1411200 bytes of raw bitstream data (again we omit header and any additional metadata). Then you simply compute the ratio and get a compression of 60% percent (or 40% depends from which 'side' you look).
Btw I might as well mention HDCD, but it seems rare for VGM scores to use that.
Yeah, but HDCD is not really 20-bit. Furthermore you only have 15 bits of usuable data if your playback device doesn't know how to deal with the HDCD bit (it's stored in the least significant one). You can again quote information theory here. It's impossible to magically encode 4 more bits of information in one single bit of already existing 16 bits, under the assumption that you can't change the entire format (which means you have to retain backward-compatibility). Whatever the HDCD algorithm does with this one single bit (switching on some filters in it's circuits), it's never going to give you back the 20 bits you used to encode the master from. Period.
A few Namco soundtracks used a weird 20-bit process. I know there's an example or two I could show you on VGMdb, but I can't seem to find them right now.
Yeah, that's HDCD.
But... it's an obvious difference, especially in the bass, especially with newer recordings. It's like there's something there that simply wasn't, and the sound stage is better reproduced.
ABX it and realize that the difference isn't there but entire psychologically.
And since we're at this topic: The dynamic range provided by 16 bits is large enough. Mastering engineers just don't use it and go for loudness war instead. Listen to recordings of Deutsche Grammophon to hear how mastering should be done.
no.
best quality is mp3 cbr 320
No, best quality is mp3 cbr 640 (freeformat bitstream).

CBR 320 and VBR V0 don't really make a big difference. If you're really concerned about quality in lossy formats with high bitrates, try AAC instead.

I also do see the information on Windows, or Mac; whenever the file is 16-bits, lossless, it shows that a portion of the file is compressed. This puzzles me so, because if most CDs are 16-bit (except, like, SACD and Chesky Records), why should a 16-bit lossless audio track be compressed at all...?The sole purpose of a lossless audio codec like FLAC is to compress audio without losing any data - without changing the resulting waveform at all. Audio files encoded with a modern lossless audio codec are nearly half the file size when compared to uncompressed PCM. Storage capacity is still often an issue for modern computers so any reduction in file size is welcome. That's why they are compressed.
Compression does not mean that the process is lossy. When you use an archive utility like WinRAR or 7Zip, it losslessly compresses your data and shrinks it. Lossless audio codecs do exactly the same but are highly optimised for audio data.
Why does all 20-30 Pages comes a new guy in this Thread and troll all others and then dissapperars till the next comes ?I don't think he's trolling, I think he's just misinformed.

I appreciate the offer, but I'm looking for this in lossless only. There's many lossy encodes I've found of this on my own but want the highest possible quality for this one, even if I can't hear an audible difference. It is one of the very few albums I want in CD quality.

You seem to want to initiate fights judging by your last couple of posts. You're right though, buying the album would get me what I've been searching for. Obviously. There are many reasons why someone would/wouldn't or can/can't buy the music they want. This thread would not exist if everyone bought what they wanted. Not all shared files from members, mind you, are their own personal rips. Requesting an album not only helps the requester, but other members who are also looking for it themselves if it's fulfilled. Members taking the time to share their lossless files, requesting, and answering requests is what makes this thread.
Your comment however, added absolutely no value to this thread, nor has it helped me in any way. There's often irony in those who spot trolls...

The Daikatana disc releases from Dominus Animae have clipping issues (poorly remastered). Better to track down the original masters, they're available at underground gamer if not here.
Good work anyway, Milo, some classics in there.

Interesting... following the link from VGMdb discussion (
http://vgmdb.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6681) John Romero confirms that Dominus Animae's CDs are HIGH QUALITY (
http://rome.ro/smf/index.php/topic,4933.msg89255.html#msg89255) and were drawn from the best lossless sources available.
However it would be definitely cool to compare it with something else, like you were saying 'the original masters'.
Personally I don't have an access to underground gamer, and yet would really like to hear the version they have.
Is there any way you could hook us up?
Edit: Also frankly speaking I am not a pro, but so far haven't encountered any clipping issues with Daikatana CDs...

Wikipedia doesn't exist on your Internet? :P
The game's name is made up from the words Wache (mean: guard) and Rder, whereas the latter descends from the German word roden (mean: "to stub"), which in its original sense means "clearing trees". Thus a "Wachenrder" is a person, who basically "eliminates guards".
I've played a decent number of TRPGs in my time, but never this one. That's what a game gets being JP-only on Sega Saturn, back in the days before obscure TRPGs were ported or translated?

That's my take anyway given the master wav files that were leaked (by some Russian guy, apparently) are all fine. It's bizarre because avoiding clipping when editing digital audio is... like learning to keep your handwriting on the lines when you write a letter. It's that fundamental that it should just be an unspoken truth that anyone producing and selling CDs would know how to avoid it. He probably did a batch normalise to a level that was too high and then didn't listen to them properly afterwards, and there's no excuse for that really.

granted, it's just that I'm a native German speaker, and could not make a guess as to the etymological connection and so just assumed it was an odd translation/language use in the vein of Hamauzu trying to come up with custom German vocab as Freundschaftsbezeihung on SaGa Frontier II. Or compare "Dancing Mad", "Infinite Undiscovery", "First Children" etc. Anyway, thanks

I want to request that anyone who is buying the Medal of Honor box set from La La Land this week not post it in this thread until it is sold out. I know there is no rule against posting La La Land releases but at the price per disc ratio of the set, La La Land deserves to sell this baby so please do not post their release. I started this thread primarily to share hard to find Japanese music that is often costly to obtain, so something so easily available should be left off for now.

I had the same thoughts about not posting it after i buy it, mainly because i saw it on the FSM site first and after what happened the last time i had something to do with those guys, i wouldn't feel right posting it.
It is a very good price and i'll be putting my order in at the weekend, hopefully.

I have that, but as far as i know, it's not available in lossless.
I don't own any of this. The credit goes to Pendor.
Los Angeles, November 2019 albums apparently contain arrangements from both: movie & game.
