Oh I really couldn't tell you one place, I've been doing Graphic art for roughly 3-4 years now, I've been collecting for that long. But I go to planetrenders.net and DeviantArt.com a lot, they have very good open source communities.

Alright, thanks for the heads up. I used to have a bunch of brushes and stuff from a friend, but another friend touched my pc, and I was forced to reformat cause of him :(

Damn defaults are killing me lol.

No problem, I've suffered the reformat pain myself. In fact every time I reformat I usually end up with a new style. The defaults actually aren't that bad, just need some good settings and the right method and they can help a lot.

Then grab the link that they give you that has [IMG] tags.

Then hit User CP which is in the top left of you screen, here on Shrine.

Then select Edit Signature and paste that code in da box.

Sig shows up once per page of posts, and will show up everytime you use Quick Reply. Once you refresh, though, it'll be gone from that post, unless that's your first post on a given page.

Thanks for the constructive crit. :) If you have links to any really good tutorials they'd be most welcome. I've read a lot them on blending and lighting, the two things I have the most difficulty with, but I'm always on the lookout for more to help me improve. Here's my most recent sig:

Get something better, if you really care about graphic design. There are methods of getting software for free, now I'm not condoning getting a bitorrent program and torrenting a tleast Photoshop CS or CS2. But if you do you won't regret it.

Man I totally lost all my tuts a while ago, sorry. I recommend lightly erasing the edges of your character, erase at about 10% opacity and 40% flow. you don't want it to be transparent, but you want it to look naturally there. A 5px brush works well. Then work with sharpening and blurring. It makes your sigs have a sense of depth, that part is easy just use the sharpen tool and thing if the character was three-dimensional what parts would be close and what would be farther, do this lightly.

As far as lighting, just think angles. And keep it subtle, keep things that are bright about a max of 80% and brighten up dark things. That being said that sig is really dark, and too bright in places. Change the texts color too.

I know this topic is about sigs, but I just had to say that I LOVE your avatar! LOL!

I'm thoroughly surprised that this forum is still around. Especially the graphics area. I don't think I've posted in 3 years or more. Anyway I'll pump a few works into here later this week. Doubt if anyone has a clue who I am though.
