Hey! If anyone has the audio tracks for the NEW star tours, please let me know! I have the video footage, but the audio is horrible!!!

Thanks, William

When you say video footage, do you mean its source video? Or was it recorded on a camcorder?

Yes, Hack3rman, this is really GREAT video that was done by the Disney people, very professionally, and not some shaking, hand held, low budget camcorder bullshit! But the audio tracks were recorded at the time, for the various droids in the lobby and the repair area are okay, but I would have to run them thru alot of filtering and stuff, and you know how I am about my sound quality, hehehehehehe. If I can add the actual studio recorded audio to this video, which I think was recorded at WDW, that would make a PERFECT complete ride thru! Like I said, I have some good audio of this, but would like better, if possible. I also have the 5 or 6 different starspeeder main screen footage that you see when you are in the speeder, on the main screen.

Very strange! I tried to get onto this site yesterday and on Sunday, and I even used three different servers, which all said that this site was unavailable!!! Did anyone else have this problem? I see posts from yesterday, but not the 19th!

Let me know.

It's from the Indiana Jones ride. I'm going to pick this up at the park Sunday. Worth having a hard copy.

Yes, that is the plan, once I get them all edited together nice and neat, with audio, of course. It would really SUCK without any audio, and I refuse to put "Live" audio on it, but that's all I have right now.

Now if we could just get the audio from Star Tours 2, then EVERYBODY would be happy. Went over the footage again last night, and you can BARELY hear the audio, very faint in the background, as though whoever had recorded it, didn't turn up the volume on the audio gain, or something like that. I tried to boost the signal, but got alot of noise on the track, but at least I have something that I can synch up the audio when I get it. Thinking about going out to the park with one of those mics that only records ONE thing, and not all that background noise. Attach that mic to a telescoping pole and lean WAY over the railing, until I can hear the audio perfectly, and just stand there for 20 plus minutes on each robot. I noticed that the narration of C3PO seems to be pretty much the same as the old one, have to compare them. Anyway, I have most of the music and sound effects from here and there so no worries there. Just need the two droids, from security, one on the luggage, and the other scanning the humans (don't know what their names are)

Dug around on the net over the weekend, and EVERYONE who claimed to have the NEW Star Tours audio is either totally lame, because it turned out to be the OLD Star Tours audio, or it turns out to be a LIVE recording from the ride, and most of those down in Florida, so I would have thought that someone SOMEWHERE would have the audio by now, GEEEEZZZZ

AND.... once again, the "New" Disney corp, powers that be, failed to mention or confirm the future site of the "Star Wars" land, which has been rumored and discussed from Disney VIPS and insiders, but nothing was spoken of, one way or the other, last month at the D23 get together!

HOWEVER.... The employees out at Disneyland and DCA were informed a while back that they would be parking at a different location, as the employee parking was going to be torn apart to make way for a new "Land", and right on the heels of that, several VIPs had mentioned that the new Star Wars land would be located there, in 2015 or 2016!!

So, take it with a grain of salt! :(

I tried searching and didn't come up with anything. Is there an official release with the Pixar Play Parade on it? I downloaded a huge album a couple of years ago that had some cool park music on it along with the parades and world of color. I've read that there hasn't been an official release for WOC out but I swear the files I had sounded legit and were good quality. Any insight?

There are two 40th anniversary sets. The official one is only one CD, and the other is a two disc set, which I think Grinning Ghost put together, which is really most complete, for my money!

I'm looking for the 2-disc set of both the 40th and the 34th Anniversary sets of the Haunted Mansion. Also I'm looking for a soundtrack for Indiana Jones: Temple of the Forbidden Eye, and the Matterhorn, to round out my collection? Any download links you can provide?

EDIT: GrinningGhost sent me a 34th link, but I'm still waiting on the unofficial 40th Anniversary set.

---------- Post added at 06:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:53 PM ----------

If you have the official 40th HM that also would be great, but the unofficial ones are what I'm looking for.

Also, from my research, consider this:

Disney's Phantom Manor - The Soundtrack [A SUPPRIMER-LIENS PLUS DISPO] (http://www.disneycentralplaza.com/t22791-disney-s-phantom-manor-the-soundtrack-a-supprimer-liens-plus-dispo)

It's a really good Phantom Manor soundtrack collection that some French guy put together, and posted on this French Disney forum. In case the links have mysteriously vanished:

Also does anyone have the Doombuggies.com "Return of Vincent Price" Phantom Manor MP3? The original link is below:

http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/10/17/296570/phantom_sample_walkthrough.mp3

It was displayed on DoomBuggies > Explore the history and marvel at the mystery of Disney's Haunted Mansion attractions! (http://www.doombuggies.com/phantom3.php) ...and it's missing. Does anyone have the original file?
It was called "phantom_sample_walkthrough.mp3" and was a full 20-minute ride-through with Vincent Price narration.

---------- Post added at 07:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:21 PM ----------

You see, my backup hard drive has been having "ghosts in the machine" and so I lost my recording of it...

EDIT: To make it more clear, the above file link is DEAD, and I can't find the original poster--Chef Mayhem has mysteriously disappeared from the web. Any help would be appreciated, even if it's just a recording.

To better describe the "phantom_sample_walkthrough.mp3" file, it opens with the gazebo music box track, and follows each soundtrack element to completion, including Vincent Price's narration. It was, quite frankly, the best ride-through mix of the Phantom Manor.

Are there any other collections out there for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party other than the official "Magic Kingdom Event Party Music" CD? I really looking for the newer Villains Mix & Mingle and the Boo to You Parade soundtrack. I've heard a version of the Boo to You Parade that starts out with sound effects and then a really slow version of the chorus that speeds up into the regular song. Can't seem to locate that version anywhere.

Since everyone is adding Halloween Stuff, here is 2 recordings I did back in 06-08. "When Hinges Creak", my tribute to "The Haunted Mansion" was originally recorded in 2002 but not finished until 2006. "The Headless Man" was recorded 2008.

Both were used on the (now defunct) Haunt industry podcast "Rotting Flesh Radio".

Because of popularity of "When Hinges Creak", I now DO metal "Haunt-Strumental" music for the Haunted Attraction Industry and have 4 CD's and a compilation out. I currnetly have 55 haunted attractions using my music this season!

I also recorded 2 more Disney tracks "Dead Man's Tale" and "From All Of Us, To All Of You" that I have added here. All of these were test recordings for my home studio. These are just for fun and I DO NOT sell them.

Yes those links are dead. ( & Good luck getting William to repost them People have been asking for YEARS) Many alternate and improved versions of those collections were re-posted over time. You need to take some time going through the pages to find them. (Example: I posted a link to Captain EO 1 page ago.) I know that I also posted Soarin' & Tower of Terror Collections that the links are still good. Just gotta go look.

I have been doing my best to keep ALL the links up to date, and I have been asking for assistance from people, and the only help I get is from the people on the TREK threads. I have reupped these links over the years, but since HOTFILE is no more, how was I supposed to know that they would go bellyup? It's very hard to work long hours and try to stay on top of all of these requests. I just found out that back in Dec 2012, I had over 125 PM requests!!! In one month. That is alot of files to be constantly uploading and reupping!

Some of these files have been reupped, just ignore all the hotfile links and check the other pages. I will do the best I can, considering.

I honestly didn't mean anything by it, & have no desire to get into an argument. It is what it is. That being said nothing I said was untrue. If you had any intentions of reposting any of that stuff I assume you would have done so one of the many other times some requested it of you. You are clearly a busy guy. I think people look at that post a lot because it is one of the earliest posts & on one of the first (if not the first) pages of the thread. It is a long list of desirable music from the parks that people want. As I stated many newer and updated collections of the same mentioned in your post have been posted over the years. By you and several others. People just need to take the time to look.

Well, then, since I have caught up somewhat on my other requests, tell me, in order, what you want most of all, and I will reup it onto multilink storage site, which seems to work fairly well for me. I have one request to complete, which is the Haunted Mansion 2 disc movie score, which seems to have everyone's links to be dead, which really surprises me. If someone could go thru all the posts here, and find out which links are working, on ALL the posts, and which are not, so I won't have to duplicate my uploads.

I would be GREATLY appreciative.

William, I know we haven't talked on this site yet, but I've been a member for a while now and first off I want to say a huge THANK YOU for all that youve contributed! I cant express in words just how grateful I am for the many uploaders on this site, and you my friend are one of the best, no doubt.

Anyway, now that the mushy stuff is out of the way :P I'd like to help you with these uploads in any way I can. I have a lot of Haunted Mansion stuff I can up.
I have the Haunted Mansion Score 2-disc set in MP3 320 which I can upload tonight. I also have the 30th anniversary 13-track special edition (MP3 320), Haunted Mansion Holiday retail release and Oogie Boogie edition (both in MP3 320), The unofficial Haunted Mansion 36th anniversary edition (in MP3 VBR)

Let me know if you'd like me to post any of these and I will. Any load I can take off your back so you can get to the other stuff, I will gladly help with!

William, thanks for re-upping!!

I love those tracks for the Fantasyland dark rides!
I suppose these tracks were mixed from the original sound files from the attraction - does someone have those files seperately (i mean the dialogue / vocal parts without music underneath it)? Correct me if im wrong, but i suppose in the actual attraction the voice files are played over seperate speakers, arent they?
I would love to re-build those rides with rollercoaster tycoon!

Williamtaylor1969

No, most of these files were obtained from "Disneyland Forever", a kiosk system that was at the parks (DL & WDW) back in the 90's, only ran for a couple of years and then was yanked out. Dave, from "Extinct Attractions" located one of the kiosk machines at an auction somewhere, and won the bid, brought the machine home, and found a bunch of disks inside, with all the tracks, some were incomplete, like POTC and the Mansion, only had a small number of the tracks, but fortunately, I had a TON of Disney tracks, and Dave and I traded back and forth, sometimes I got 2 for 1, because I knew how badly he wanted some of my stuff. Then, Dave brought out a bunch of different CDs and DVDs of the Disney ride stuff, including interviews with all the original people that created POTC and the Mansion (Mansion actually had 5 DVDs that came out), and some great behind the scenes footage of the rides and other great stuff, everyone LOVED the CDs and DVDs, but David was overwhelmed with mass orders and could not keep up! He finally had to shut the business down, and to add insult to injury, after that point, Disney corporation SUED Dave!!! They got a one million dollar judgement against him, but said that they would hold off executing the judgement, as long as he didn't sell any more of the Disney copyrighted material! So, that's where we are today, Disney can make BILLIONS of dollars every year, but one lone little businessman cannot make 100's or 1000's of dollars, even though Disney has no plans to ever bring out CDs or DVDs of this nature! :(

If Disney would pull their heads out of their asses, they would see that DVD sets of ALL the rides, professional filmed (they have most of the footage already in their archives) would sell massive numbers at their parks, online, and on Ebay as well! I have seen several different people selling old copies of "Extinct Attraction" DVDs on Ebay, and they always pull in large bids, talking about 75.00 to 80.00 for one CD or DVD! It is an untapped gold mine, and Disney totally ignores it, even though many fans, even ones close to Disney have BEGGED for DVDs and CDs like this, but they are happy to sell the old records (which are all redone productions, NOT the actual ride sounds) and just ignore the will of the people!

Anyway, hope that answers your question, those MONO tracks are all that anyone has at the moment. I'm sure that Disney archives has all the DL ride recording sessions, that they are keeping an iron grip on!

If you do a "Youtube" search for "Extinct Attractions", you can find Dave's account, with all the videos of stuff, all ready to be downloaded for free! :)

And since those two posted so much, there's a lot of posts on this thread with zilch in them. Is there a way to get a mod to delete those posts so we can slim down this topic? There's got to be pages worth of empty posts.

Some people here use posts as a record of what files were posted and by whom, linking files on their computer by date to individual posts to be able to credit re-uploads to original uploaders. Also useful to refer back to passwords used for files.

Mods do not remove other people's posts for strictly cosmetic reasons.

yea he is getting a lot of them from here. He is posting some of my collections & covers that I made too. I've only posted them here also.

Just the way it works. Not worth getting upset about. We all found the music out on the net somewhere at one time too. Just a shame he isn't making his OWN collections & covers. He is even copying the track listings out of Itunes like I started. lol

Your assumptions are incorrect. I have NEVER had a problem with people re-posting collections as you can see from what I wrote above back in May when people were upset about Doctor Disney re-posting collections they had put together. I could honestly care less. I don't own the the rights or get royalties off anything. Why in the hell would I or anyone else really care for that matter???
What I did care about was what happened recently. Someone was re-posting a collection I made and deleting the credit that was given to other sites where I got a few of the tracks from. Those people put a lot of time & effort into making/sourcing that material. I thought they deserved credit for their work. It was pretty shitty that the credit was being taken from them when the files were being re-posted. I didn't think it was right & I said so. (don't get me wrong it was also frustrating to have tracks I mixed stripped of credit too, but like I said above, when it comes down to it: a) I don't own any of this. b) I'm not an egotist c) I really don't give a shit about something like that personally) So What was even worse is what came next. Then these sites that i was trying to do right by, credit them etc. got upset with me for sharing these tracks without their permission. So I got kicked in the ass, and painted as a bad guy. All I was trying to do was share these files with fellow fans. I thought that was what the Disney community was about. Sharing & getting this stuff into the hands of anyone that wanted it. Bring others some Disney joy & putting a smile on their face. Needless to say. I was wrong.

So I came to the decision to throw in the towel. It is all just more work & stress than it is worth in the end. Sorry. I will not be posting any new material, and I am not going to maintain or repost any of my old collections either. Lots of people downloaded my stuff. Hopefully a generous soul out there will re-upload stuff if someone is hunting for one of my old collections. It is about sharing with each other after all, right? It shouldn't be the work of any one person.

That is correct, Vintguy, it is GREATLY apreciated! I had only stated that fact about the banning part, as I was banned from "Doombuggies" because I had removed many of my photos there, because people were taking credit for pictures that I had taken, putting them on other sites, etc. And the people over there were VERY nasty about my sharing ANY Disney stuff with anyone, which I had done with several of their members, but off from that site, so it should not have been a problem, but apparently it was.

Oh, well.

How asinine do people from those other websites have to be to think that their little blog will be encapsulated and secure from the rest of the web? Rule one of the internet: NEVER post something that you wouldn't mind the ENTIRE WORLD seeing or hearing. You did right by crediting the original posters, even if they weren't grateful. I'm sorry that their lack of gratitude made you decide to stop posting, and even more saddened that it rolled over to FFS. We all appreciate all your hard work and time sharing the music from the parks that we all love. I truly hope that you reconsider posting your compilations. I most definitely would re-up those works if I still had them. Portable hard drive crash. I have to rebuild what was lost, hence my asking what happened to your posts.

Again, thanks for all your hard work!

Hi all - late comer to the site. I just discovered you the other day, and took a few hours today to go through the history of this thread (all 86 pages) to see what I have been missing. I am sad to see so much content has been erased. I hope I did not miss out on anything good. I did manage to find some great content nonetheless.

I run a website called DisneyChris.com. Totally free and no advertising. It is purely a labor of love for me. I am disabled and unable to get out of the house much, so this site keeps me sane, and keeps me very busy. I invite you all to visit. I post a new song every day as my "Song of the Day" on my home page. These songs are more film and TV related. But, for all you theme park music fans, you need to check out my "A Day at Disneyland" feature. On there you will find nearly 700 (and growing) tracks of Disneyland music from the latest things to the most vintage and obscure. I am the one and the same person who posted the famed 25 Disc Magical Music of Disneyland collection torrent on Mousebits a few years back, and I have been adding to my collection ever since. And improving the audio of what I already had. If you know of that collection, then you have a general idea what my Day at Disneyland website feature contains. But in addition to the audio, every track has a corresponding color image and a brief paragraph description of each and ever individual track, to give you a bit of history behind it. I am also very particular about what audio I post. I often will re-edit music to improve the audio using various audio editing software. I also make my own unique mixes and playlists. It is a lot of fun...

To see in a nutshell my entire library, here is a link to my index page...

A Day at Disneyland - Index (http://disneychris.com/a-day-at-disneyland-index.html)

I hope you all will come visit. I know if you are in this thread, you will love my site. It is right up your ally.

Now - a couple requests. There are a few past postings that I missed out on, and if they could be reposted somehow, I would really appreciate it. Here are the ones I wrote down, while going though the past 86 pages, there are not too many...

1 - America the Beautiful in Stereo with Narrative - posted by WilliamTaylor1969
2 - Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland Collection - posted by SoundGuy28
3 - BB and his orchestra at the Fabulous Disneyland Hotel (LP) - Posted by Merida
4 - Iceburg Does it Live (LP) - Posted by SoThere

Also - Two things I thought I would ask about are the 1980's Disney Strings Fantasy - Japanese album - Volume 2 - Volume one was mentioned in the thread, but there is also a volume two - I am just throwing it out there in case someone might possibly have it.

And - Also mentioned was the 1971-1992 Disneyland/WDW Main Gate Loop - I have most of this, but am missing a few songs from it. I was wondering if anyone has a complete version of this classic park loop.

Also at the bottom of my index page, as mentioned above. I have a wish list. Those songs are...

The Walt Disney Story - Walt Disney, Naturalist
Circus Fantasy Parade
Rainy Day Cavalcade - Believe (Pop Version)
Aladdin show performed in Aladdin’s Oasis
The Golden Horseshoe Jamboree 1986
Mark Twain 2010 (original source music)
Mark Twain 2010 (original source narration)
Professor Barnaby Owl's Photographic Art Studio
The Sword in the Stone Ceremony
Mickey Mouse Club Circus
Fantasyland - New 2013 Area Loop
Fantasy Faire Area Loop - 2013
Mickey and the Magical Map
Mickey's Movie Barn - Preshow Film
Mickey's Toontown - Isolated Sound Effects
Tomorrowland Stage - Show Me America
Plane Crazy (with good audio)
Circarama "Tour of the West"
Mickey's Nutcracker
Sandy Duncan in Disneyland (TV Special)

I am just throwing these out there to see if anyone bites. It never hurts to ask.

Hope to see you all on my site, and feel free to ask me any questions and make any suggestions.

Oh - I misunderstood you, I am sorry - I thought you meant that you had the full show . I understand now - I think I may have a better copy of this scene in my files, as well as one additional scene in the Primeval World with Lorne Greene and Sandy singing a duet. I will load those up here for you all to have within the next 48 hours. Stay tuned.

Aladdin show performed in Aladdins Oasis
The Golden Horseshoe Jamboree 1986
Mark Twain 2010 (original source music)
Mark Twain 2010 (original source narration)
Professor Barnaby Owl's Photographic Art Studio
The Sword in the Stone Ceremony
Mickey Mouse Club Circus
Fantasyland - New 2013 Area Loop
Fantasy Faire Area Loop - 2013
Mickey and the Magical Map
Mickey's Movie Barn - Preshow Film
Mickey's Toontown - Isolated Sound Effects
Tomorrowland Stage - Show Me America
Plane Crazy (with good audio)
Circarama "Tour of the West"
Mickey's Nutcracker
Sandy Duncan in Disneyland (TV Special)

I am just throwing these out there to see if anyone bites. It never hurts to ask.

Hope to see you all on my site, and feel free to ask me any questions and make any suggestions.

DisneyChris

That's a ridiculously comprehensive compilation on your site man! VERY nice! Are you planning on making the music available here for download?

DisneyChris
11-07-2013, 01:55 AM
Thank you very much - For now it will just be for my website. I don't plan to upload any music here. The issue is that a lot of the material is still in current publication. I do not want to load a bunch of materials that can be purchased. That is too risky for everyone involved. I know there are ways to burn music from any website, but I do not want to make it easy to do so, or provide tutorials on how to do it. This is for everyone's protection. It would be awful to have to remove my site. So, if you want to hear the music, you will have to go to my site. I hope that is ok.

Okay, I wanted to start a new subject here, because of something that I noticed last week. I was listening to some "Constance" tracks that I got, WITHOUT the piano BG, just her recordings, and I noticed that they have placed a "reverse echo" on those tracks, which really makes her sound like a ghost. They have done reverse echos in the movies, where a horror element needed to be added, for a spooky effect, and it's the only thing about Constance that is spooky. Perhaps they should have just made her a glowing mist with this narration, it would have made her that much more spooky, because the way it is now, just seeing her form, even at the WDW, just ruins the whole effect. Perhaps if you didn't see her, it would be better.

Anyway, I started playing around with the reverse echo with all of Paul Frees narrations, and I hit on the perfect way to get the max reverse echo, so it really makes him sound spooky! I mean if Constance is supposed to be a ghost, with sounding that way, why not the rest of the ghosts in the mansion?

So, I am working on a new version of the mansion, using all of Free's unused narration as well, and putting it back into the mix, with reverse echo and everything. When I am finished I will upload it for everyone to enjoy.

What do you guys think about that?

Okay, Gang, here is what I had spoken of in a previous post, the HAUNTED MANSION GHOST HOST narration, with a reverse echo. A lot of trial and error, took me over an hour to get it correct, but because of the different volumes on some of the lines, the echo is louder on some parts, but not too many. Still, all in all, it sounds pretty nice. Give a listen and let me know what you think:

Download links for HM_GH_reverse_echo.rar - Mirrorcreator - Upload files to multiple hosts (http://www.mirrorcreator.com/files/DHCATAJV/HM_GH_reverse_echo.rar_links)

It also has the LEOTA complete and LITTLE LEOTA, without the echo, but with a reverse echo. Since they are ghosts as well, thought that I would add them to the mix. There are THREE different sections on this recording, which has Paul Frees' early demo recording, and some of the ALT takes from WDW, and some unused stuff as well. Thought that I would throw it all in here.

Also, I was thinking about doing this for the Ghosts in the graveyard, since we are going with a whole ghostly sound, so I don't know how it will turn out, but thinking about experimenting with that. Let me know
what you think about that.

Enjoy, William

Wow, thanks for all the HM stuff. An embarrassment of riches. I do wonder why there are no good recordings of the Phantom Manor stretching room WITH the Bride. The suite on the 40th Anniversary has it without the vocal. Any other recordings I've heard seem to be lower quality than everything else (such as on the 36th).

Has any of Giacchino's Star Tours II music been published anywhere?

I got a PM for a large photo of the Phantom Manor stretchroom portraits. However, when I went to my stash, I found that not only were they rather small, but one set had the HEADS cut off on the paintings! So, I looked all over for a fairly large copy of these, and this was just about the BEST I could find. This is the blog of the self proclaimed "foremost authority" on the Haunted Mansion, Dan Olsen, from Doombuggies. However, he is well known for being an internet bully (I really HATE bullies) and he was one of the several people over there that got Mr. Stone banned from the site. It's a very small site, with only a couple of posts per week, and I don't think that I have ever gone over to see what it was all about, except once, and I just shook my head and thought, "what a WASTE of space"! They then got Mr. Stone banned from Micechat, simply because he was banned from Doombuggies, not because of ANY post that he placed over there. Amazing. Anyway, here's the link:
Long-Forgotten: The Haunted Mansion is Blue, and Phantom Manor is Pink (http://longforgottenhauntedmansion.blogspot.com/2012/06/haunted-mansion-is-blue-and-phantom.html)

Very interesting stuff on that site, but just remember, this guy's got an ego bigger than GOD! He's also supposed to be some major authority on the BIBLE!!!! GEEEEZZZZZZ

Just wanted to drop in and say thanks to William. You sir are the king of Disneyland Music! Haha. So grateful for all the work you've done to share your collection with all of us!!

Sidenote: Williams page 1 Haunted Mansion 34th anniversary link is no longer working. Could anyone re-up that? Its the ONLY Haunted Mansion set I don't have yet :( Sad panda.

Also, to anyone that may be able to point me in the right direction, I am looking for the World of Color Winter Dreams soundtrack. Anyone have a clue where I can find it? If someone points me in the right direction, I'd be glad to make some cover art and create a nice little World of Color collection with my source audio from the original show. Would be a nice set to have.

Oh sorry, I should've given more detail. The link directs to the MirrorCreator site and then there's the NetLoad and GameFront options. NetLoad says the download link is not available and when you click the GameFront one, you get this message: "File not found, you will be redirected to http://www.gamefront.com" and then it takes you to their homepage.

It seems like the upload failed or something...kind of weird. Or maybe they took it down? :/ Anyway, I will just wait for whenever you up it again :) no worries. Thanks again William!

Great topic and thank you all! Does anyone have the music from Hakuna Matata restaurant in DLP? In fact it's the Lion King soundtrack but it's completely instrumental without the backing vocals, so not like the released instrumentals. Haven't found them elsewhere yet. Would love to have these.

Okay, Jack, reupping the 34th right now! :)

Never heard of the "Immortal edition" of the Haunted Mansion. What is it?

Oh, yes, I almost forgot! We spirits are frightfully sensitive to bright lights, so remember: NO FLASH PICTURES......... Please! hehehehehehe :)

My good friend, Greg Stone, has posted a video on Youtube. He got a new account just for this, and he used the new "reverse echo" narration that I gave him. I like the alternate version of that spiel better... "We spirits haunt our best, in gloomy darkness...".

[SIZE=2][FONT=Arial Black][I][B]My good friend, Greg Stone, has posted a video on Youtube. He got a new account just for this, and he used the new "reverse echo" narration that I gave him. Well, I'll pass that along to him. You should leave him a comment over on Youtube and let him know that.
I've always found the portrait hallway far too dark to film, so it's amazing to me to see all that detailing.

I just listened to the beginning of the "echoey" spiels, and wanted to mention that not all of the Ghost Host's speech is properly echoed. The "hmm" in the Stretching Room spiel is completely without echoes of any kind. I might notify you of more, once I have the chance to listen to the whole thing.

I would note that Paul Frees is the most talented voice actor ever for sinister masculine roles. There are no words for his mastery of the sinister, but another notable role he did is Meowrice from Gay Purree (I may be spelling it wrong), in which he does a wonderful antagonist role.

Actually, that is true. You have a VERY good ear, my friend! :)

When doing the reverse echo, I noticed that some of the echo drops out on certain words and phrases, and when I looked at the original, I noticed that those words, like "Hmmm" were LOWER in volume than the rest of the sentence. I had already done the reverse echo, and figured that nobody would notice, so I didn't boost the volume on the original. Looks like I'll have to go back to square one and redo the whole thing over, just to get it PERFECT! Hehehehehe :)

Hey, what do you want for nothing? :)

Yeah, well,

Just make sure that in the final version, the "lost echo" problem is fixed.

Out of curiosity, does anyone have a 320-kb/s version of the Premiere Edition of the Haunted Mansion Holiday soundtrack? That is a very hard soundtrack to get, as most of the promotional copies were destroyed when the decision to replace the soundtrack was made. It is the 2001 version with Gordy Goodwin's music--which, in my humble opinion, is far superior to anything offered by the Elfman/Debney 2002-present soundtrack.

EDIT: Just to clarify, by "Premiere Edition of the Haunted Mansion Holiday soundtrack" I mean the entire original album, including each track separately as well as a ride-through. The ride-through itself is readily available to me in sufficient quality, but the rest is hard to get in a quality download. It would also be nice, if at all possible, to get the graveyard and crypt songs from 2001 independently as well (preferably in relatively high quality as well), though those weren't included in the official release (as I understand it).

But, if someone could simply provide the official track names, numbers, authors, etc. it could narrow down my (and others') search so it might be easier to find in the future...

Thanks in advance,
~Lord Nyriox

Actually, that is true. You have a VERY good ear, my friend!

William

Just to comment: A 'good ear' my arse! I've never been able to make proper sense of the Selenitic Age entry puzzle in Myst--the one where you have to match musical notes as defined by unlabeled slider switches to matching sounds from an organ across the room. Good grief!

As it was, when I listened to the "echoey" edited spiels, I was specifically listening to the atmospheric effect the reverse echoes added to the original spiels, from which perspective a "hmmm" surrounded by silence stood out like a sore thumb. For someone just casually listening to the spiels instead of analyzing the synergistic effect of the reverse echoes, the omission would probably be less noticeable. So a total redux is not really needed, as the "softer" words were probably quieter for a reason (like dramatic effect).

So this edit was computer generated on a word-by-word basis, correct? If so, wouldn't it be possible to change the parameters of the word-detection engine to support a broader range of volumes (rather than equalizing the whole thing word-for-word, which could screw up vocal tone effects)?

Just a thought,
~Nyriox

Do you have a track list?

William

Sadly, an effective track list is actually one of the things I am looking for. However, you might find it helpful to note that most of the tracks on the Premiere Edition were composed by Gordy Goodwin, and most of the tracks on later versions were composed by John Debney.

The differences in impressions the two soundtracks make is quite remarkable. Basically look for a HMH soundtrack that is mostly Gordy Goodwin and doesn't just sound like a bunch of remixes of Danny Elfman's music. Actually, a couple of tracks were reverted to the Gordy Goodwin versions within a couple of weeks of opening in 2002, the Stretching Room and one other...

So for other's sakes, it also would be nice to see the Debney versions of those, which are even harder to find than the Goodwin versions of the rest of the soundtrack.

I'll look online and see if I can find a track list.
~Nyriox

---------- Post added at 12:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:24 PM ----------

Well, here's some pretty good descriptions of the two soundtracks and their respective components: Chat Haunted Mansion Holiday Music! - Page 2 (http://micechat.com/forums/disneyland-resort/143592-haunted-mansion-holiday-music-2.html)

I'll keep looking for a track list, but I found these descriptions rather interesting, anyway.
