This is a good news, bad news situation:

the good news, I took the narration from "America the Beautiful" and had one of the techs at the studio run it thru his magical machine, and it REALLY sounds good (to me) but he told me that whoever had put it up on that Disney site had compressed it in such a way, that it caused ALOT of distortion on the sound. You can hear alot of noise, both before he speaks and after. This is caused by bad compression. I sent an email to the site owner, and asked him if he could PLEASE upload a copy that was not compressed at all, and I hope that perhaps he has a better copy for us to share! What I am thinking is that he has that exact SAME recording, which will be the pits! :(

We'll see.

I had to trash the project I was working on, since this version sounded 80% better, so I'm starting over from zero!

Oh, and by the way, one member had PM'd me with a copy of the stereo music with mono narration that he had put together, which is great, however I really HATE mono anything. So, even though it sounds good, it has the un-revised narration in mono in the center, so I'm going to use his recording as a guide, so I'll know exactly where to place all the narration! :)

Wonderful job. I always used to go on this attraction as a kid, and it's wonderful to have it again in such a great mix. Thank you.

Well, one thing, I switched the channels back and forth on the narration, since the theatre had 8 or 9 screens, and the narration would go from one area to another, instead of just being in the front screen's speaker. Since I only have 2 channels to choose from (No, I don't have any 5.1 recording ablilities....YET, hehehehe) I just decided to jump them back and forth with some reverb thrown in for effect, trying to get that big round theatre effect, hehehehehe

Anyway, yes, I am working on reinstalling the stereoized narration back into the wonderful, full, rich, stereo music tracks that were wonderfully shared on that Wonderful site! :)

And, thanks to a certain member of this board for providing me with a very useful guide to help me out. I had to trash my first attempt, as I had realized I totally messed it up about 8 or so minutes into
the music!

Also, a small piece of bad news: There is a part of the narration that is missing. When you are overlooking Los Angeles, with all the little twinkle lights, the narration starts off, and then just cuts out, but the music (on the two track from that site) keeps on playing! I don't know what happened to that recording, but I had to cancel that whole line, just to maintain the feeling of the whole project. Didn't want any "drop outs" as it were! :)

Well this has been a long time coming. I tried to make Halloween with this post but whatever. Compiled from multiple sources posted here (thank you, Williamtaylor), Mousebits, and others are 3 massive Haunted Mansion compilations I am proud to share with the hardcore fans here.

I tried to be as thorough as possible and keep it logically sequenced while not duplicating specific tracks. That's not to say there aren't a couple dozen different versions and mixes of "Grim, Grinning Ghosts" in this set but I tried not to have such versions repeat anywhere else. The best sounding copies of the individual elements (and that didn't always mean the highest bitrate) were chosen. Consistent ID3 tags and cover art added. Volume leveled with MP3Gain. I'd include tracklists here but I don't know how.

Just thought you would like to know. It's got a couple of mistakes in it that I need to repair sometime in the future, but I bet most people won't catch all of them, hehehehehe

Also, I know that a couple of you young people are new to this site, and new to sharing and uploading, so when you see a file-sharing site that opens a TON of windows, especially when they lead to sites like "Sexme.net" or something with naked women and men, chances are that is NOT a good site to store files onto!
There are a ton of new sites that have popped up every since the US government decided to take over "Megaupload" and tell everyone what they can and cannot do with their own personal files, so you should shop around and find some great sites to store and share with!

Okay, gang, bad news! I've been trying to lay the stereo version of the "America the Beautiful" narration over the stereo music, and kept getting messed up. I was glad that there was a version of the show that was shared here, even though the narration was mono with the stereo music, I can still use it as a guide. Last night, I decided to stop being lazy, and knuckle down and GET IT DONE!!!! So, I spendt some time going back and forth between three different recordings, had them all open in different areas, so I can jump back and forth with ease, and I discovered one really distrubing situation: The narration and music does NOT match! In the movie, you go from a sea port, where they sing an old sea shanty song, and then you go to a New England town, then to Philadelphia, and see the liberty bell. Then to Mount Vernon, and THEN to Washington DC. But the music jumps from the sea port to a New England town, to Washington DC, with no stop at Philadelphia!!!! So, everytime I had the narration matched up, the music started playing "Hail to the chief" when the narration was talking about the liberty bell! In the movie, I can hear a long piece of music that plays the mount Vernon theme, then a long, slow piece version of "Battle hymn of the Republic" for the Lincoln memorial, and then to the white house. This piece of music is NOT on that music from the show! VERY upsettting! :(

Well, I really don't know what is going on here, but I can hear on the film track that was shared that the music is different there than on the music that came from that one site. But since the narration had a complete sentence missing, it would not surprise me that there was music missing as well. Sounds like someone had just perhaps patched the music together over the missing area!

There were two variations of the CircleVision "America the Beautiful." The original version, which had its music released with the 50th Anniversary set. And the bicentennial version, which included additional scenes from Philadelphia, extended patriotic scenes, etc... which is what the source voiceover is from. That's why you're probably having trouble editing the two together... they're from two different versions of the film.

(Plus there was educational release, which matches scene order from the bicentennial edition, but has totally different narration. And the Circarama version of America the Beautiful, which is a fourth variation... though I've not ever located the audio from any of the Circarama films)

Of course, it can't be easy. ;-)

It's the music from the 50th Anniversary 6-Disc set (which was the pre-bicentennial version)... but as the narration provided on the other site was the bicentennial edition, I used the isolated music from that site for those scenes that didn't match (St. Louis, Philadelphia, etc.)

Anyone get the The Circle Sessions (The Music of Carthay Circle) from amazon and be willing to share?

If I had the set, I would surely do it myself, but who would seed after they download it?

I already have the crappy-sounding mp3 versions, and would like to replace them with lossless versions. Could make duplicate CD versions of them if CUE sheets were included. Putting them in FLAC is not a pain at all to do.

As far as servers, what about the fileuploading sites like fileserve? I've never had problems getting files from there, the links were always reliable. As long as you change the folder and file names to something anonymous that couldn't be figured out and put the real names here, I'm sure things could work smoothly. Surely there's a Disney music fan here who has the CDs.

Is it possible to get a re-up on Captain EO? Thanks abunch for your efforts in advance!

I was downloading the various versions of the phantom manor collection offered on this site and wondering if someone has a clean (source) version of the french ghost host... Some of the tracks have recordings of his narration as live recording or as what seems to be a source version but with other sounds mixed in... (for example the phantoms of the carribbean track). The music that is used in the youtube video you posted the link to is from the 1982 movie called "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial" by John Williams. The first song you hear is called Over the Moon from the movie the rest is a mixture of the rest of the move.
I have never seen De la terre a la Lune from DLP's Discovery Mountain but I'm betting they didn't use the John Williams soundtrack. If you are looking for the movie soundtrack I have seen it posted on the ffshrine forum just not in the Disney Parks forum.

Okay thank you for that confirmation. I thought it was eerily similar but didn't think they would have just flat-out taken it from the ET score. Guess I was wrong! That explains it. Thank you!

Hi WilliamTaylor - All your Hotfile links are dead. :( I went through all 39 pages of this thread the other day & downloaded everything that was still active that I didn't have. I would really love for you to re-up some stuff you have posted if you ever get the chance. A lot of us newer members never got a chance to download the stuff you posted from 2011.

Most of what I have posted I have ripped off of my Cd's that I BOUGHT in the parks. The couple that weren't I found through Google and have long forgot where. It is amazing the things Google can do :) Do I expect someone who reposts my rips to give me credit? No. My intent is just to share the music we all love. I'm really not doing it for any sort of reward or credit, etc.

Ok I found (again by using Google) the MouseBits sight. Seems like it is some torrent site or something? Yea, I don't use those. I prefer to DL zip & rar files.

You should definitely check out mousebits tho. They have some really great stuff (Disneyland Forever among the best i think). Lots of source material too, and so far as i know, it's all on the up and up with Disney.

I want to thank everyone on this thread for much of this material, namely WilliamTaylor. The good folks at Mousebits are a huge resource as well. I just like neatly organized and tagged compilations, no matter how massive they become.

does anyone have the Comeplete Show audio for Light Magic, not from the official albums, but The way it was performed in the park. but best example would be the cd album of the show that was given to cast members to promote the show, That cd had the comeplete show audio on it.

Or if anyone has an album called Disneyland/Walt Disney World Music Vacation, I would be happy with that too. \

(they sound like sourced from mp3 with bitrates lower than 64kbps)... Is this the way they are stored/played back at the theme parks? Or is it a matter of recording quality from the original source?
