yes, that is why I put that crappy little photo of the 4 covers on disc 4! It was on Ebay a couple of years ago, and I could not find ANYONE who had any clear copies of Grinning Ghost's original covers, and have NO idea what the trays looked like or anything. AND, I totally had a senior moment when he was on this site, and forgot to ask him to please post his originals up here for all to share!

As for the POTC, I have four!
1. POTC theme park exclusive, with 25 tracks
2. POTC 33rd annversary limited edition with 28 tracks
3. POTC bootleg (From GG, I think) with 40 tracks possible 2 cds!
4. POTC 2002 37th annversary edition (From GG also, I think) which includes the POTC LP with Thrul Ravenscroft! 21 tracks.

I will try and get these reup'd ASAP for you good people! :)

What I should be is more specific, 4 or 5 of the tracks are empty with no audio.

The Ichabod track is one track about 30 mins which cuts off prematurely.

Did you listen to this before you posted it?

I just thought people might want a heads up after all it is a 300MB file and might take awhile to download on some people's rig's in addition to many people have DL caps attached to their accounts with their ISP.

Yes, it is a large file for such poor quality music. Why is that? If you were thinking about deleting the file, DON'T! It is DISNEY music after all, and just needs to be in a file about 85-90 Megs, MP3 @ 320 KB. I'm sure that there are people that would love to have this music, I just wish that it was better quality. Sounds like it was ripped off of a DVD. But all in all, it's not bad. About the same quality that I have on some of the old ride music, like the original "Alice" and "Mr. Toad's" rides!

That's exactly what it is - music ripped off the rear channels of a DVD.

Sorry for being so curt, WildwoodPark. You just didn't make it clear that the quality was the issue you had with it; I thought that you were saying that because you didn't like it, that it wasn't worthy of being posted here. I know the sound quality suffers, and that it is a huge file - I saved it as FLAC, rather than MP3, just because I dislike the generational loss that sometimes happens with MP3, and if anyone wanted to edit it further, that would be fine by me.

Some track info, as I was a bit vague before: What I did was isolate the rear channels of the 6 channel surround sound soundtrack, and boosted the levels to approx. -10db so that it was audible. IMHO, this is the best that we will ever get - Disney has had 60+ years to issue a soundtrack and haven't, and even if they did, I have a feeling that they would leave the vocals patched in, something I dislike (I'm just a score person, myself). What this would be useful for (and already has been used for this over on Mousebits) is recreating the queue loop used in the Mr. Toad's Wild Ride queue. There are the 3 or 4 tracks with no audio because I used them as reference points. I could have deleted them (as can you) because they are not necessary, but I just got lazy! :) If you import them into the media player of your choice (I use MediaMonkey, but to each their own) they should show up as the full album, with track numbers, track titles, artist and album info. Only thing they are missing is cover art.

Again, sorry for being short earlier - it just angers me when people criticize a source without having learned more about it first, and in this case, this is the only place where you will find the "Merrily Song" sans vocals - it has never been released before without the words!


[edit:] I didn't realize Ichabod cuts off early; my interest was the Mr. Toad segment, and I will eventually get around to chapter separating the Ichabod portion, so I didn't listen to that at all. Sorry!

Its not that rare... Most of it is on the 36th HM Collection. Again from Gerry... Someone just made there own version based on Gerrys audio.

I have never see this album before now, so it's very rare to me. Oh sure there are a few song on various other album compilations , but to see it all on a dedicated album of just The Phantom Manor music is Fantastic!! Most of which I didn't have in my collection like for instances The Original Introduction & The Phantom Manor Theme (Starring Vincent Price as the voice of the original Phantom) Thank you "Wildwoodpark" and William for this. I truly appreciate it.

Im just saying for me, its not rare. I know the guy who has the source files that this originated from. There is some stuff left out of this collection.

Some tracks I have say they come from a EPCOT 25th Anniversary CD Collection, but I can't find the whole thing any where.

Interesting, second time I've seen that Tower collection, which actually is missing a track (supposedly, the attraction narration).

Yes, I've seen it all over the place, seems like that is the only copy available. Wish I had a better one, don't recall where I got that particular version.

I almost want to say that it originated with the old Extinct Attractions Club CDs (based mostly off of formatting)... but that would mean that *someone* had to have gotten a copy with that narration. If, that is, the actual released CD included it... may have just been a "tease" that was never available, but helped boost sales. ;-)

Well, I have to tell you, before he came out with his Phantom Manor 3 CD set, and the HM recording sessions, I had never seen them anywhere. If these were anywhere on the internet, I would have seen them. Just sour grapes, in my opinion!

Well, I wasn't meaning that the tracks themselves originated with EA. Just that that particular assembly of tracks, in that order, and the way things were formatted seem similar to others that EA did release... regardless of their original *source.*

Some of the things he did sell weren't available in wide distribution prior to his albums, but a great deal of the things he sold were. Heck, even the graphics used on his DVD collections were just ripped off of the internet (without much research into what they really were... his CircleVision DVD, for example, has a few photos that were vacation photos... and had nothing to do with Disney or the CircleVision films at all.)

And the best part is that it's still playing to full houses! I only wish it was still around here in California. Pooh is cute, but it's no CBJ, in my humble opinion...

It's rumored that they're bringing back the Country Bear Jamboree to the Disney California Adventure Grizzly Peak section although it has not been officially made public although I have it on good authority it will return.

Seriously? That sounds great for a guy like me, but can it actually work or will its return go the way of the Capt. Eo Tribute; a shooting star that shone bright and burned out quickly? What do you think?

I think it COULD work, but probably wouldn't happen. I'd love to see it come back (as well as an updated America Sings, while we're at it!) but I have my doubts. Grizzly Peak makes for a good fit for the show. I'd be first in line, if they'd bring it back!

Is this album? Official Album: Walt Disney World Resort Celebrating 100 Years of Magic - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Official_Album:_Walt_Disney_World_Resort_Celebrati ng_100_Years_of_Magic) Cause, looking at the date of the file, it looks like it fits. Most of the tracks you can find on some of the older or newer albums of WDW, except for three tracks, "Mickey's the Mouse for Me", "Seize The Future" and "Bright Little Star". You Can also buy the album from Amazon too. I don't know if the "Share A Dream Come True" Track is out of print or not, as it was last seen on the Tokyo Disney Resort 25th Anniversary 12 Disc Set, "DREAM."

I agree with you and while the kid in me sings, the adult in me has to ask this question: "Isn't restoring an old attraction in a new park going the wrong way? Didn't Uncle Walt say 'keep moving forward?'" They've hit one out of the park with Cars Land. Maybe a CBJ style show with a current twist? A revue show might work as well. If they can update the Hall of Presidents constantly, maybe they could do something like that here at DCA with a character revue show?

Well, I could understand the linking to a site to purchase a set IF the set is in print and available. But linking to a japanese site just seems like a waste of the posters time. I'd buy that set instantly if I could find it on a site where the average visitor could understand what they're getting into.

Be advised, Rapidshare is not a very healthy place to store your files. They get deleted within 30 days of no downloads, and it seems like the government is screwing around with that site, just like they did with Megaupload, just before they shut it down. It would not surprise me one bit if we don't see a "FBI" notice on Rapidshare any day now!

No prob. Hotfile works surprisingly fast imo. I have checked out Filepost and that does seem to be a pretty good site for uploading though. Shame megaupload went the way of the dodo.

Yes, RS has been screwing up just about the same time that the US took down Megaupload! I believe that they are connected! I think that once the government was happy that it killed MU, it turned it's attention to other sites, and RS was #2 in the pecking order, so.........

Seriously, you guys are freakin' awesome. Every time i think I've found all the Disney stuff, you post something new.

Once upon a time on that website visions fantastic or whatever there was a radio program that they had and it included something i have been looking for for quite some time. it was a one track song that was like 27 (i think?) minutes long of Splash Mountain that included an introduction to the ride, instrumentals of "that's what uncle remus said" and "sooner or later" and a few others that are played while you are in queue. It would then proceed with a run through of the attraction.

Just curious, Jmoss, but why do you have so many dups on this attraction score? Tracks 2 and 4 are the same, no difference at all, and 5, 6, & 7 are completely the same, just the music from the score, no difference in arrangement or anything.

Also, where did you get the MP4 film from "America the beautiful"? is it the front screen only from "Youtube"?

As I said, just curious, not complaining at all. Currently working on putting the narration back into the music score, which is hard since you cannot see the film, and figure out where all the talking goes.

The mp4 movie is for sure not the 360 version rather a representation of. I've
had it a few long years and think it came from a sight called wdwmagic although I'm not completely sure of that but I have since seen it on mousbits and youyube.

That version is from a single screen version that was released for schools and whatnot as an educational film. That's why the narration is fairly dry, and covers more historical details... rather than the familiar "This too is America" dialogue that we're all more familiar with.

Well that explains it. I does see more educational that what I remembered seeing at Disney World. You wouldn't happen to have a better copy of the film would you? Maybe with Williams restored soundtrack we could reincorporate it with the film.

I'd imagine someone could take the clear narration and could edit that into the released score-only (from the 50th Anniversary set) and come up with a much sharper version. Only problem, though, would be that the released clean score is from the original version of America the Beautiful, so is missing a few portions that were added on the Bicentennial version.

Yes, that is where I got the original 1960s narration that we all know and love from. I took the narration and mixed it onto the stereo music tracks that I have (in WAV form), however the narration did not match up to the music. But first, I had to make the narration stereo, so I added a "spacial enviroment". But, the narration sounds like it came thru a mike, so I had to clean it up a bit with EQ. Then, I had to take section after section of the narration and try and match it to the music. So far, so good! I'll add it here when completed! :)
