I wonder what our sharing future will be like with all these file hosting crack downs etc. I'm rather concerned.

Only time will tell. Either the existing services would be shut down or they would block certain countries from accessing the sites (US is the first choice :P) or block sharing similar to how filesonic has done.

During the last weeks' research and remastering I found two different CD versions of the original Symphonic Suite Akira on the internet. While I'm not entirely sure of their origins, one of them has a better dynamic range. I assume that one is the original version from the 80's. While there generally is nearly no audible audio quality difference, for example Winds is very different in terms of build-up. Dynamic range is clipped on the '94 release and the phase is inverted.

Because of some requests for the original CD album version I uploaded them too, untouched (follow the download link in the citation).

I'm going to try re-uploading them again and PM the links to everyone who likes the post.

In the light of Bluray/DVD release of Mardock Scramble: The Second Combustion movie I got interested in the soundtrack and after checking the release date for it turns out it's been out for almost a year (as long as the theatrical version of the film) but I couldn't find any complete rips of it online. Only several tracks on Youtube and previews on CDJapan.

I'm not really after a lossless rip, but a simple mp3 any encode will do. So please keep an eye on it and if someone spots it, be so kind let me know.

If you're asking for a FLAC rip of the single, I think it's looking rather rare. It always seems like they are harder to come by, but maybe someone has one (from around here). Amazon.co.jp seems to list a bunch of the singles, though. Maybe it's not that hard to come by

That's a pretty good find, I may just plunk down the cash for that CD. As for the single its not as important...I already have a flac of the song but not the whole single. Just asking if anyone does have them.

Im' found all the trakcs from the Magic Knight Rayearth Best Song Book in flac, but are from the singles (No, I don't find the complete singles).
For me I'ts OK, I was more interested in have the Yuzurenai Negai track in loosless (and if was possible also the karaoke version ONLY for that track) but apparently is difficult without a rip of that single so... I believe it's better than nothing. :p
I renamed and rettaged like was that real release, I was thinking in uploading, but don't know if someone want it that way.

Unfortunately, the MKR soundtracks went down at Rapidgator. Can someone spare the time to re-up them for a fellow hikkikomori in need?

EDIT: Scratch that...it appear some of them go up and go down intermittently. I'm gonna try and get whichever ones I can and see what isn't there at the end.

I never heard of it either, downloaded a bit. It wasn't to my taste but thank you anyway, I always appreciate trying something new.

I hated the Giant Robo soundtracks at first. Now I love them. Because they are so rare I kept them when I first grabbed them.

Looks like things might be leaning towards torrents. Wasn't there already a period like this when file hosting sites were lame and people did everything with torrents. I'm resistive but if it does get to the point where my anime has to be downloaded through torrents, I may just have to do it. I just super hate it when you get to literally the last couple MB and it slows to nearly nothing or even completely stops. That's the main reason I only tried torrents like twice, ever.
