Way back when this thread first started I shared two CD rips that I made from my own collection. Both were for the anime film AKIRA
I recently had a HDD crash and lost a lot of stuff and all my CD's are packed away in storage.

And while this may not at all be helpful in the exact way you requested, there is a copy of DSCD 7 | AKIRA THE ORIGINAL JAPANESE SOUNDTRACK - VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/24511) on the Akira lossless music page featured on bakabt. It appears to be the British printing of the second album you requested. Same tracklisting. I'm afraid I'm not particularly knowledgeable of Akira's music, but I'm hoping, for the sake of restoring what was lost, that it may help you in some way.

Alternatively, if you were particularly commited to tracking down your own rips, maybe you could look at your original post, and PM the folks that liked or replied to your post. I've done that myself, and a number of people here on the shrine have been extremely responsive and generous, so that may be worth a try.

Has anyone here ripped soundtracks that have copyright protection on them? In need of a little assistance...

I bought a copy of the Fullmetal Alchemist soundtrack 1 from an online seller. It's legitimate, but it has this old Sony copyright protection called Labelgate. Typical garbage that will only play the CD on a windows computer after accessing some japanese database with serial number; requires it to rip tracks and wants you to pay for a new one after the 1st serial. Too bad the idea turned out as horribly as expected so they quickly stopped using it, and the weblink for it is now defunct.

My issue is, EAC will load up the CD, but won't actually rip the songs, it will just read the "streamed?" copy. Basically it acts like it's ripping the CD really fast, with 0 errors. The resulting files do appear to be uncompressed wav's with the full audio range, but I'm not entirely convinced.

I CAN load the disc into Isobuster and extract the real music data, burn it to a blank CD, and rip that with EAC. But that also seems to be against the idea of a bit-perfect rip.

Ideas? Or should I consider either of these methods to be ok?

Son of Kalas and Mint, according to my research this album is one of the original work made by MOKA ☆ group that has tribute songs to the anime Elfen Lied. the second album is called FELIX CULPA (http://vgmdb.net/album/42136) and was launched on December 25, 2012. This album features two tributes to the music LILIUM. The songs are called LILIUM ～preces～ and LILIUM ～phantasia～. If someone had this album, it would also be awesome too ^_^

There is, but it's on Mega and I use Firefox because the other browsers aren't as stable on my laptop, and there ain't no way in ell I'm using Internet Explorer. And the plugin doesn't like to work properly for some reason.

2) copy your external hd's stuff to it
3) reformat your ext hd to ntfs or exfat
4) copy it all back

I personally use X-Chromium Portable it saves mega downloads to my User/Chrome/Downloads folder in its root directory. could help you.. but i hate how mega wants to permanetly store stuff on my harddrive. i just delete my User/Chrome/Default/FileSystem folder after closing my browser and that frees up disk space.

It will be released the 28th according to VGMdb, but i don't think many cd ripper will buy it because its really expansive (collector 24300 JPY) and because people don't found this version to be very good, so don't expect it being on the internet before a huge amont of weeks/month (or not)

EDIT : Nvm it was a special OST, the original one will be released separately the 30th November, so expect it to be released quickly on the Shrine or Anime Blogs

This is one of the most beautiful soundtracks I have heard in a long time. The main theme is so powerful that it never loses its power throughout the show. It has the power of a flight score, the inspiration of characters chasing their dream. At other times, the score is so emotional that I can feel myself tearing up.

Small warning: Tracks 13, 14, and 15 are some sort of funky jazz stuff that sounds totally out of place with the rest of the score.

I have a long-term project on my hard-drive which subtly combines the original version (1988/1994) with lower frequencies of the 2002 DVD-Audio and wanted to check if the 2016 version is any better than the previous incarnations or maybe render my project completely useless. :) The latter would be kinda sad because that mix is almost complete. ^^

nyaa.se might be gone gone, but nyaa.si is a thing now. Try doing a search on it for the missing albums.

If you find yourself low on seeds, you might also want to try to downloading the exact same torrent from nyaa.pantsu.cat and anidex.info. Once you open them, your client should automatically add their unique trackers to your current download (if they really are the exact same torrent). That means more seeds/leechers, generally.

To give some context... after nyaa.se died, others took it upon themselves to restore it. The one that has done a better job at it has been nyaa.si, but that doesn't change the fact that the original user-base got split among many. Hence my second suggestion.
