also wondering how long does it usually take you guys to upload an ost to a site like MU, RS ect.? cause I have some bleach and kenshin but it's gonna take like 16 hours just to upload 1 ost...is there a site that uploads faster or something? or is it just my shitty upload speed and im screwed...

Depends only on your internet connection. Usualy i'm on 256 up, so i can up to 3-4 hours to upload 300-400MB to Megaupload. I usually go to MU since i have an account there, but most people here doesn't like Megaupload, since they tend to cap the downloads to freebies.

In my country, we call "rapidshare" as "rapidshit". Hardly you can download at 10-12 Kb/sec even on premium account, so we don't use it, at leat i avoid use rapidshit like the pest.

What i've seen hotshare is a good alternative. But i don't know how much time your files are saved in there, also you need to encrypt the files (using rar format) and the namefiles, otherwise these are deleted pretty fast.

Your mileage may vary.

There's no such thing as a "protocol" in here. The only condition for posting soundtracks is that your rips are genuine lossless. Also, scans are a nice bonus but not compulsory. I, for one, never include any.

Scans are nice but not really mandatory. I try to include them when I post anything rare because otherwise there is no good quality version of the cover or information on the disc. I don't know about MU capping downloads... with jdownloader I downloaded ~40GB in a few days (mostly nights since I have cable rather than fiber) at ~1mByte/s on a free account. Though i agree with rapidshare sucking. It caps to 200kByte/s on a premium account. I can do better on MU for free lol.

I searched for info on this disc, but couldn't find any scans or track translations.... It's a Tenchi In Tokyo soundtrack with BGM, Opening and Ending songs, and a few tracks with them talking. On the disc, it's a white background with Sakuya winking, holding a Tenchi doll. On the left side, in red letters, it says NEW NONEED TENCHI.

Why would those with slow internet connection be browsing a lossless thread? Although I do think pictures should be no larger than 800x800. That one even goes off my screen.

well.. 128 kbps or 256 kbps are slow, but still can get a lossless track in some hours... :)

I was unsure about Haibane Renmei, but the last comment was many months ago, so I just uploaded it anyways.
I forgot to include the EAC log in the Twelve Kingdoms Soundtracks, but added them in the post as quotes.
If someone has a better copy (cue+log), don't hesitate to upload it. I also added 3% recovery in every .rar file.
(If someone knows a good anime soundtrack db, let me know. I can't really name some specific music styles.)

I don't remember what the Champloo music was like. I remember some of it sounded like bad rap, but I was wondering if there was some gems in amongst it?

The Champloo soundtracks are of the best I've heard from any anime. The beats are so entrancing that you can practically fall asleep to a few select songs (or the entire "departure" album.) There's only one or two vocal tracks per album, and they're all songs that would probably grow on you after watching the show or just giving them a few listens. "Battlecry" is the only rap track that I remember and I didn't like it at first, but I learned to love it way too much.

It would be a mistake to pass up even if you're slightly interested. "departure" and "impression" are the best, but "masta" and "playlist" are great, too!

This is a tranquil soundtrack performed by small orchestra with many romantic melodies and sure to touch you. Michiru Oshima is best known for her work on Fullmetal Alchemist, an anime series that she gave a beautiful classical soundtrack. This is worth it for the wonderful trumpet and orchestra rendition of the ever-famous Amazing Grace. Download if you like the beautiful music for anime such as Castle in the Sky or other romantic works by Joe Hisaishi.

So, was it worth the wait and the frenzied anticipation? Mostly, yes: the album's varied enough to keep the listener interested during its whole length, while being stylistically coherent enough to avoid jarring transitions. The work that has gone into the arrangement of the suites and single tracks is massive and the majority of them are skillfully composed, establishing a natural flow when moving from one theme to the next. Several of these arrangements are nothing less than spectacular: the suites and re-interpretations of music from AFRIKA, Chrono Cross, Shadow of the Colossus, Laputa, and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya are deeply impressive and up there with the best that orchestral game and anime music has to offer. Even lesser suites such as those from Astro Boy and Tsubasa Chronicles fail to greatly impress not because of an inherent lack of quality — they're highly entertaining works in and of themselves — but rather because they're surrounded by sterling arrangements of other works which simply outshine them. Apart from the occasional, slight slip in intonation or rhythmic accuracy, the orchestra's playing is polished and remains impressive throughout the album.

Unfortunately, it's difficult to overlook the recording's two major flaws. Far too often, the choir falls behind the rest of the ensemble in terms of technical proficiency (and isn't always served well by the album's recording quality). It's hardly a game breaker most of the time, but still, the choir's insecurities in intonation have the potential to impact the impression the music makes on the listener, most notably in the case of the Death Note suite. A comparison with the technically more accomplished Symphonic Fantasies concert series may be somewhat unfair — given that the WDR Radio Orchestra and Choir are state-funded institutions with an illustrious performance history reaching back several decades — but what ultimately counts is the end result that the interested fan pays for when she buys the recording. Furthermore, not all of the suites meet the standards of the majority of the concert's arrangements: the Gears of War 2 suite is mostly bland, and the collection of themes from Princess Mononoke — it's really just that — is downright uninspired. The fact that both suites are more than 10 minutes long hurts the flow of the album considerably.

But despite these weaknesses, A Night in Fantasia 2009 is easily worth purchasing just for the highlights mentioned above and ultimately offers about 80 minutes of good to seriously amazing music. This is for a more than reasonable price — currently, the two disc set is priced at just $19.95 on the Eminence Symphony Orchestra's website. It's certainly a must-buy for fans of orchestral game and anime music and a confirmation of the Eminence Symphony Orchestra position in the market, but not quite the revelation it aims to be.
