I would love tot get my hands on an isolated music score of Braveheart. I havent found it yet thusfar. The Piece of music that im after is when the Princes tells longshanks that his legacy will die with him.

This is on the OST track "The Princess Pleads For Wallace's Life"

This is on the OST track "The Princess Pleads For Wallace's Life"

I hate to break it to you, but its not if you watch the movie, and youll see during the period that longshanks coughs and wheezes, thats the track i want. Also theres a lot of tracks which are still unreleased, therefore i want a rip of the isolated music score. Mayhap there will be one in the future....

Back from vacation (which was very nice, thank you :) ) and offering you not one, but TWO isolated scores. Both are by John Morris and both are from Mel Brooks films. The scores are High Anxiety and Young Frankenstein.

The procedure this time is a bit different if you want these:

1. YOU send ME a PM asking for the links
2. Click "Like"
3. Post a "Thanks" (feel free to add any other comment as well).

The reason for this is that i have grown tired of posting and having no idea how many that really are interested in my posts. Another reason is that your posts helps to bump this thread and make it more visible for others.

Not that hard, huh? :)

It is because you are new that you cannot do so.

When you have a post count of 2, followed by a time-delay of up to an hour that the ability will be enabled.

So, what to say about this one? This is the isolated score. I noticed right away that there was music missing from it and all of it taken from the scenes with Miss Lewton demise. I guess it had to do with licensing issues because the isolated included SOME of the music, but the parts that were missing had the song Rocky Mountain by John Denver mixed heavily into them (meaning tracks 21-24). So if you can absolutely not stand that - move on.

There is a promo out there. 19 tracks with no names. Some of you might protest and say "Hey! I do have a version with track names!" Sorry, you don't. What you have is the promo where someone decided to use the titles from the DVD chapters (the menu on the DVD where you get to choose which scene you want to watch). Those titles doesn't even match the track sometimes, but i'll admit, sometimes they do and sometimes those titles fit other tracks. What i have done is that i have used some of those titles, some of the titles from other isolated rips and some i have come up with myself (where i thought the others didn't fit well enough).

Want it? Say thanks, click "Like" and perhaps give me some "Rep" to motivate me ;) and THEN send me a PM. Or - Ask http://forums.ffshrine.org/members/tapoktro-765906 he steals everything anyway

Yes, it's mono... come on, it was made in 1938 ;) it's celebrating 75 years this year!

I would love a link Calidoran! Growing up I watched this film all the time! One of those great adventure movies that had such a magical effect on me. Something missing from most modern films. I love listening to the re-recorded version of this score, and I can't wait to compare the two! Thank you very much!

Every remaining Sunday of Advent and during the festive season I plan on uploading some of the stuff,
I have been putting off for a long time for various reasons, most notably... time.

It's Sunday, so let's start with the first set!
Orchestral music by Herbert Tucmandl to an Austrian film called Atmen (aka Breathing). Taken from the isolated score. I am not sure if that's the entire score written for the movie.
There was one cue in the movie that sounded like a looped version of "Seitenstechen", which is not present on the disc. So if that's original music, it's not complete.
Because it's so short, I added another isolated score from the German DVD of Die Innere Sicherheit (aka The State I Am In) by Stefan Will. I stored the music as FLAC files, but it's lossy-sourced.

Merry Christmas and happy listening!

I'm a little confused here... some users have clicked "Like" on my Korngold post, but never sent a PM. Not sure if they're just being kind or if they're waiting for a link... ;)

Then on the other hand there are those that send PMs wanting the link without clicking "Like" or posting a thanks...

Same drill here - You want it? Click "Like" (perhaps some "Rep"), post a Thanks and THEN send me a PM asking for the link/password :)

It's not much i ask... and i will tell you again WHY:

The "Like" is to give me an appreciation of how many that appreciate what i post. It boosts my ego, if you will... ;)
The posting of a "Thanks" helps keep the thread visible so more can discover my links. :)
The PM is for... well, if i DIDN'T use that method, i wouldn't get a tenth (in "Likes" and posts) of what i do IF i use it :(

Take it or leave it :)

It's Sunday again, so let's start with the second set!
This ultimate release of Jack Reacher by Joe Kraemer is a combination of the OST and the isolated score.
There's a slight cutoff on the isolated parts, so you are able to see where I used which source.
Some of the major problems of both sources were missing or extended parts and missing beginnings and endings
(on the OST because of merged cues - on the ISO because of Kraemer talking) so I did my best to present
every cue in order, intact and individual where possible.
Two short cues from the complete score couldn't be featured as the composer was talking entirely over them -
So Was I, Last Week [2M13] and Eyewitness Testimony [3M19].

Merry Christmas and happy listening!

Since the film release of this was by 20th Century Fox, I cannot share any links, publicly or privately. I hope you understand that i don't want to risk a ban. I will leave the info for it though, for "educational" purposes.

Ok, sometime waaaay back, i posted isolated scores of 3 of the 4 sequels to Planet of the Apes and i promised the 4th in a not too distant future... well, everything is relative i guess ;) i will be updating the previous 3 posts (Beneath the Planet of the Apes, Escape from the Planet of the Apes and Conquest of the Planet of the Apes) as well (slightly different tracklists and such).

Here's the 4th - Battle for the Planet of the Apes. I went over all of them and did a completely new rip and then the usual editing and light remastering.

Some info:

Format: FLAC (from lossy DTS-source (5.1 - 768 kbps) on BluRay)

I found this online, so I thought I'd share it with you guys & gals.
Here's the isolated score for the 1983 movie "Christine" from the (sold out) Twilight Time Blu Ray. It's not split up into tracks or volume-adjusted or anything, I'm simply uploading the unaltered iso score track in a wav file. Enjoy!

This is taken from the Isolated BluRay score. The wav-file for it was kindly uploaded by dsguardian (http://forums.ffshrine.org/members/dsguardian-167726) here http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/isolated-scores-113650/31.html#post2362906. Thanks :)

What i've done is the usual editing and splitting, but this time i have also tried to find all the songs used in the film in lossless. There are a few tracks that are questionable when it comes to lossless and one track that i know isn't in lossless. Should anyone have it in lossless or the possibility to rip that song from a CD for me, i would be grateful :) The song is Not Fade Away by Tanya Tucker and appears on her CD TNT. Also note that some of the songs appear twice here, but that's the way it was in the film. If you don't feel the need for repeating, then switch to deleting...

Unfortunately this is a release by one of the no-no labels here at ffshrine, so if you want the links - send me a PM. And this is the only way you will get the links, requests here will definitely be ignored.

Anyway, enjoy this

1. Bad to the Bone (George Thorogood & The Destroyers) (4:50)

Unfortunately the advertised 'music only' track is actually music and effects.

Regardless, that would still be better than nothing -- especially considering much of the time when the music is playing, there is not considerable SFX, and when the SFX are playing, the music is usually silent so you can hear them.

Then combine it with the original soundtrack release too if necessary if tracks have too much SFX (even if it is incomplete).

So, if someone could do this request. It would be welcomed.

I have access to the first movie on bluray and it contains an audio track with Jerry Goldsmith's commentaries together with a music/SFX only track. I have listened to it before and to me it seems it has TOO much SFX to be of any use, but i will have another listen. Perhaps my meager skills have improved over the years and i might be able to do something wit it... we'll see. Not making any promises though.

Calidoran, any "objective" thoughts on sound quality of your Battle POTA rip vs. FSM release?

On sound quality, purely from a technical point of view - the FSM release is true lossless, my isolated isn't since the source isn't. The isolated score track from the bluray isn't DTS-HDMA, but regular DTS. That said, my thought (but that is my personal opinion) is that it isn't that much behind if at all, but the main advantage (which has nothing to do with the quality) is that many of the tracks from the isolated are longer than their official release counterpart. I have to admit though that the two last tracks are taken from the official release since they for some reason don't appear in the isolated.

Hello Caldorian,
a while ago I got from you the isolated score of the ESCAPE FROM THE PLANET OF THE APES Blu-ray by Jerry Goldsmith.
It contained the music tracks only - as far as I know the Blu-ray on the isolated score track had not only the music
but had the complete recording sessions e.g. before/after each music track you hear Jerry Goldsmith talking with the orchestra.
This would be really interesting to be included in he isolated score extraction from the Blu-ray - as it would resemble the recording sessions and not only music alone.
So I may ask if there is a chance to redo Jerry Goldsmith's ESCAPE FROM THE PLANET OF THE APES (especially as Battle POTA was done recently) ?
Thanks for your help and especially for your great work.
Regards, Klaus.

As i ripped/split/edited/remastered Battle for the Planet of the Apes, i also did the same for films 2-4 and i spent a whole lot of hours doing it, so no, i will not redo Escape from the Planet of the Apes AGAIN :)

The best i can do for you is to include those slate numbers in the tracklisting here, let me know if that's interesting...

This was concerning the first Planet of the Apes and i have listened to the commentaries track as well as to the 5.1 regular track and tried both the front and the rear channels. Unfortunately it's all riddled with SFX so i will NOT start this project. However, i compared what was in the film with Varese's release. Everything that's in the film is in that release plus the Varese one has some extra music. Tracks 1-2 and 4-17 are exactly the same as in the film. Track 3 is 6:39 long and in the film, this one is split to 3 separate tracks which together are about 4:20 long. The film is missing about 2 minutes compared to Varese.

If anyone absolutely must have the film version, i guess i could split the Varese one and remove what was not in the film. But i will not start messing around with what exists on the BluRay, because there just is too much SFX for that to be of any use.

I hope this info is of any use though ;)

That's quite the drastic mixing to have sfx in all existing channels.
It is an old film. Perhaps the studio merely "upmixed" to >2.0 surround sound with minimal effort.

Sounds like a dead end for the obsessives, though.
Wonderful analysis and investigation, Calidoran. Very informative and objective.

Well, it's not entirely true. Not that prominent in the rear channels, but it existed. The main problem was that the volume of the music in the rear channels was so low and the center and front channels had... well... more of the music :) some parts of the instruments just weren't in the rear channels. I guess someone could make something out of it, but the end result wouldn't interest me.

And as it says in the Varese release:

"Music remixed from the original 35 mm film elements in the North Room, Zanuck Theater, Twentieth Century Fox Studios during July 1995."

So this is the original music used in the film, all of it and then some (not audible in the film). The only thing missing exists in the recording sessions.

Did that ever get an isolated score release? Google doesn't show anything.

Nevermind, found a copy of the DVD.

A quick update on Titus:
I got the disc and had a quick look. It's interesting. There's the isolated score+commentary track we already know from the DVD that had some issues with volume jumps. The "isolated" isolated score is a quality upgrade in terms of bitrate, but seems to omit some cues that haven't been used in the movie. Some parts are different than the film versions (and the composer commentary track). The end credits are lossy. Most tracks are unedited and include portions of sounds from the recording sessions before and after each cue, others have clean beginnings and endings. I guess I will upload the untouched track from the Bluray as well as a "usual" edited version in FLAC. Not sure yet if I will include portions from the DVDrip and OST, I will finish up the isolated score and decide afterwards.

Calidoran

... just fyi: I haven't done any recording whatsoever. It's a digital rip of the audio track with the isolated score, straight from the bluray. Yet another great score: Contact by Alan Silvestri. I've added 2 extra tracks compared to the isolated score (which includes source music) and that is the first and the last file. The first track is in stereo and the last is in surround for those of you that can enjoy that. It gives it another dimension i think ;) Enjoy, Like and Boost my rep, please.

Thanks a million Calidoran for High Anxiety & Young Frankenstein isolated bluray scores! (Message #848) Thanks thanks thanks!!! :-D

I am looking to see if anyone has ripped the iso scores from the twilight time blu rays - LOST HORIZON & BODY DOUBLE ?

Thanks in advance

I started with Body Double, but to be honest... my work on isolated scores has lost it's momentum right now. But i guess everyone has noticed the lack of new additions here of lately. Which is kind of sad since i have quite a few that i haven't uploaded and posted here.

Sorry for that, but my energy and commitment doesn't quite reach the levels where i can do everything i want so i am concentrating on what i REALLY want to do right now. Of course i will re-upload dead links and send out to those asking, but that's it for the moment. I'll be around but somewhat more passive for a while :)

This audio is in stereo. The speech and sfx are embedded in both channels so it is virtually impossible to remove them. I found these on Amazon if you're willing to buy them:

The Music of TBAA (http://www.jenniofshalott.net/tbaa/tbaasongs.html)

I can extract the audio in pooor quality from that video, but removing the speech and sfx? Nope. It might produce a better result if you had the original DVD and that DVD had surround sound, but seeing as it is a TV-series from the mid 90s i highly doubt they made it with surround

With the permission of Calidoran, here is a link for the isolated score of As Good As It Gets by Hans Zimmer. I have added the Art Garfunkel song that plays during the end credits between the two cues that play during the credits because it sounded weird to me without it, but feel free to remove this song if all you want is the orchestral score. There was one cue (track 36) that was on the isolated score but I could not hear playing in the movie...not sure what the deal is with that. Here is the tracklist (titles by me as I could find nothing on the ASCAP site):

01. As Good As It Gets {1:21}
02. Melvin's Obsessions {1:07}
03. Writing Interrupted - Part 1 {0:42}
04. Writing Interrupted - Part 2 {0:16}
05. Walk To The Cafe {0:44}
06. I'll Get Your Order / Carol's Date {0:17}
07. Too Much Reality (Film Version) {0:17}
08. I Watch / Hold It / Walk To The Cafe / Ignoring Melvin {1:49}
09. What's Wrong With Your Son {0:54}
10. Melvin's First Guest {1:10}
11. Simon's Reflection {0:34}
12. Verdel At The Cafe {1:29}
13. Walking With Verdel / Don't Be Like Me / Writing With Verdel {1:05}
14. Verdel Is Leaving {0:54}
15. Where's Carol / Carol's Apartment {2:48}
16. To The Hospital / You're Broke {2:25}
17. Alone {0:25}
18. Doctor At Carol's House {0:33}
19. "Doc" {0:47}
20. Bacon {0:27}
21. Verdel, Come Here {0:28}
22. Can't Sleep / Visiting Melvin {1:25}
23. I Will Never Sleep With You {1:12}
24. Bad Thoughts {2:03}
25. Going Out {0:37}
26. Thank You {0:17}
27. Leaving {0:45}
28. Family Issues {0:35}
29. Personal Question {0:18}
30. Nice Packing {0:22}
31. You're My Date {0:53}
32. Arriving At Restaurant {0:23}
33. Compliment / A Better Man {2:58}
34. I Have To Draw You {1:59}
35. Drawing Carol {0:45}
36. Unused {1:01}
37. I Don't Want To Know You Anymore {0:27}
38. Simon Moves In {1:18}
39. Presents / Thinking Of Melvin {0:19}

Sure, go right ahead...

... or wait. Did you want the isolated scores for those? I'm sorry but there aren't any isolated scores for those.

... What? You are not quite sure WHAT an isolated score is? No problem :) just read what i wrote in the first post. An excellent explanation if i might say so myself ;) I think what you want is for someone to rip the music from the default audio stream complete with speech and sfx and then try to remove the speech and sfx so you can listen to the music only.

Sorry, will not happen. I only deal with Isolated Scores as the title of this thread says.

Unless you want the officially released albums, but then you are in the completely wrong thread

Not sure yet if I will include portions from the DVDrip and OST, I will finish up the isolated score and decide afterwards.any news regarding Titus project? :)

DVDFab is okay. When it comes to AC3, virtually everything should be able to decode it properly (unless it's E-AC3).

---------- Post added at 03:02 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:02 AM ----------

I got this in a subscription email. (before post got edited)

What program do you use to edit a soundtrack. Is Adobe Audition the best one ?
I would like to have your advice.

It's a matter of preference. They all work the same. It's really how you work with it that matters.
Adobe Audition, Sony Sound Forge, Audacity all work with multichannel formats. Even to 7.1, I think.

Editing in 32 bit float is pratical for heavy editing/processing, but ultimately save in 16bit integer (unless source was 24bit integer; then save in 24bit integer with dither (test which dither sounds best for your work load, every project will use different dither algorithms differently)).

If you're working with something like AC3 (a lossy format), then save in 16bit in the end.
Lossy formats like AC3 don't generally have a solid bit depth. It's always fluctuating when needed.
Saving a project from a lossy sourced AC3 in 24bit for the final product is overkill. It will probably only hit >16bits not even half the time.

How you export your project (to WAV then converted FLAC) will make a difference.
Each software works differently on how it exports a multichannel project.
Audition will ask you how to assign the channel mapping. If you imported the files in proper channel order, then there will be less hassle.
Channel Mapping for WAV formats (different between other audio formats) is generally:
standard WAV channel order: L,R,C,LFE,SL,SR (surround left, not "back left". back left is for 7.1+ systems).
Smart encoders will remap accordingly and produce effective surround sound.

Importing files for multichannel editing and exporting files for multichannel file are different between all programs.
You'll really have to google how to do it because I can't remember.
I use mostly Audacity and Sony SoundForge. Adobe Auditon takes too long to install and setup.

Most software should be able to import a multichannel file properly if it's a single file.
Otherwise, people like to separate the multichannel file into mono WAV files (each file being a separate channel. 5.1ch becomes 6 mono WAV files).

I have the free space, so before importing anything, I convert the whole project to WAV (eac3to will convert directly to WAV in multichannel with bit-for-bit precision).
For a whole movie in WAV, it can get huge. 24bit (max), 48KHz (96KHz max, in case of Oblivion), 5.1 (7.1 max) and then time lenght.
Have a good 50GB free space to work with everything.
Importing that into any software is not going work well (since it's over 2GB/4GB).
I like to take notes of where a good place to "split" the files (HH:MM:SS.sss time code).
Depending what software you use, there might be "split file" operation that will split files without opening the file as a project.

I generally work longer to remux the movie to audio only into a Matroska container (MKA since there is no video; not MKV).
I use something AnyDVD to decrpyt the video and remux with MKVtoolnix (using the "split by parts based on timecode" HH:MM:SS.sss).
This will create quite a few MKA files with the suffix of -001, -002, etc.
It's tricky to get right. I've had to start over several times because I lose track.

A batch script with eac3to to convert the MKA (holding DTS, TrueHD, or AC3) to WAV will give you smaller WAV files to work with and will be easier to load into your editor.

I recommend a method of this sort (any way you can to get smaller WAV files).
I don't recommend using libsnd to import .w64 or other variants for WAV files larger than 4GB.
It takes a long time to index and work with. Especially if you're on a Hard Disk Drive instead of a Solid State Drive.
This is more managable to idealize a tracklist. And make editing tracks more personal.

I've been meaning to do a huge novel of this as a guide but I'd rather wait until I get Audition installed again to cover all three top-used software.

Audition is fine.

Key points:

always try to use eac3to to decode the audio (must be decrypted first; DTS-HD formats require ArcSoft .dll version 1.1.0.0; check for a link in the first post)
try to split the music down to logical pieces before importing.
save to 16bit if lossy source, else >16bit source use 24bit.
expiriment with dither options (software-dependent), depending musical content (heavy orchestra or light elements, etc).
double-check that exporting yields logical channel mapping compliancy
(if working with separated mono WAV files, ensure proper mapping for import as well export)
if source is >48KHz, resample to logical nearest size (96->48 which is half of 96, 88.2->44.1 which is half of 88.2)(try to get Weiss SaRaCon to resample)
if converting to stereo, use eac3to and use -downStereo (completely omit the LFE channel as it can cause distortion for stereo mixes)

PS: Looking at one of the files converted to WAV then imported to Audacity shows it to be practical 5.1 setup.

Top two rows are Front Left + Front Right. They show the most volume (typical for front channels)
Third row is Center. It has the second-least amount of volume (typical as the center channel is mostly reserved for dialogue and main sfx)
Fourth row is LFE. The one with the least amount of volume (typical as it is only the Low Frequencies)
The bottom two rows are the surrounding channels, which is louder than the center channel and quieter than the front channels. (typical, surround music and surround sfx share the same volume together as apposed to the center channel dropping musical cues in favor of dialogue/sfx)

However you did it, it turned out to be proper 5.1.

You can even hear the dynamics of the mild separation of the choir if you use "solo" on various channels.

These should be sufficient enough for future projects.
Although, I'm not sure how you did the downmix, so I'll do my own with ea3to and omit the LFE channel.

I believe SparkTank is correct - there is no release in any form of Con Air that has the music as an isolated score. I think that in this case it's the usual misconception of WHAT an isolated score is. See the first post i made when i started this thread for a description. In short though:

Ripping the music from the default audio stream with speech and SFX has NOTHING to do with "Isolated Score"

"Isolated Score" is when there is an EXTRA audio stream that you can select INSTEAD of the default audio stream and that contains (in almost all cases) NO speech and NO SFX. It can however be coupled with the composer's commentaries.

I forgot to mention: About DTS-HD Master Audio...

Audacity can't read the Master Audio (lossless part). Only the core (lossy part).
Audacity can use ffmpeg to decode DTS, but ffmpeg can only read lossy core part.
Other plugins can be used, but most likely will only read lossy DTS.

Foobar2000 can't read the Master Audio (lossless part). Only the core (lossy part).
There are multiple DTS plugins and most read the DTS core.
There is a DTSHD plugin that can read the lossless part. But it has severe limitations. You will have to read about the limitations before using.

Currently, the only one to be tested by many and proven to decode with bit-for-bit accuracy (1:1 copy) is the ArcSoft "dtsdecoderdll.dll" plugin (from trialware/payware) (version 1.1.0.0 (http://anonym.to/?https://mega.co.nz/#!DE1CnZLY!go4vgxN0dpozn4i2RcLPxGFpX2_d3syGdE7SFu0 Zu2o) works best, even for 7.1 surround sound with non-standard channel mapping).
This Arcsoft plugin can be used by eac3to (freeware). And there are GUI's for this command-line tool.

Just an FYI I don't believe I've brought up in detail before.

If you use something to import/decode DTSHD-Master Audio and say "it works just fine", don't forget if it can't read the lossless HD Master Audio, it can always default to the core audio.

And it doesn't have to tell you that it used the core audio either.

To prove it (your preferred sofware other than eac3to+ArcSoft) works with the HD Master Audio, you would have to use eac3to+ArcSoft to decode HDMA to WAV, then use it again to decode the DTS-Core to WAV and take your decoded WAV from other software and bit-compare each one (Foobar2000 has accurate binary comparator).
A controlled environment is required for evidence. :smrt:

I'm looking for the 5.1 scores of all four Alien movies, can somebody please re-up and/or PM me links? Also, are the Blu-ray rips any different than the DVD rips?

I never made surround rips of them. Perhaps someone else?

Check the tracklistings i made in the posts for Alien. The other 3 never had an isolated score release.

Ok, here's the info:

Man of Steel isolated score in mp3

It was a rip from the bluray. Complete with sfx/dialogue and whatever fancied the surround sound channels.

Not the same as an "isolated score".

True, the editor did try his best to "isolate" music from sfx.

But, it's not studio-grade editing.
The studios never released any version of the movie that comes with an isolated score.
No country/regional release on Blu-ray or DVD had this as a special feature.

Alien - Isolated BluRay scores - Jerry Goldsmith
Aliens - Isolated BluRay scores - James Horner
Alien 3 - Isolated BluRay score - Elliot Goldenthal
Alien Resurrection - Isolated BluRay score - John Frizzell
Thanks for upping both theatrical and original versions!!!

Big Trouble in Little China - Isolated BluRay score - John Carpenter

Assault on Precinct 13 - Isolated DVD score - John Carpenter
Hated the remake! Love Carpenters' scores!

Battle for the Planet of the Apes - Isolated BluRay score - Leonard Rosenman
Escape from the Planet of the Apes - Isolated BluRay score - Jerry Goldsmith
Say what you will about the movies, if apes were as smart as humans And outnumbered us WE would be on the most dangered species-list! Loved the movies and music!

Beetlejuice - Isolated DVD score - Danny Elfman
One of Keaton's best roles!

Bone Collector, The - Isolated DVD score - Craig Armstrong
Watched the move way back.. The killer ending up being the technician? not sure how I felt about that. I Imagined someone more cold, calculating and can fight! Why do "bad guys" always go after the love interest/female and why can they never "finish" before the main hero arrives?

Cell, The - Isolated DVD score - Howard Shore
Have the dvd, was a great..that's not right, okay movie. It was weird seeing comedian Vince Vaughn doing a serious role I liked it. Vincent D'Onofrio as usual his role is perfectly cast! he also plays as edgar in MIB. I guess most don't like the movie because the director's focus on grotesque and brutality prominent in the film. like the Matrix on acid.

Chariots of Fire - Isolated BluRay score - Vangelis
Papillon - Isolated DVD score - Jerry Goldsmith

Never seen it, I'll look it up!

Christine - Isolated BluRay score - John Carpenter
Poor guy, loved that car too much when he had a real girl right in front him. If I recall correctly, he bought it to impress her?...

Contact - Isolated DVD score - Alan Silvestri
Even If aliens don't exist, this film will touch your heart and make you wonder and seek out truth to the mysteries that are still left unsolved in our universe.

Day The Earth Stood Still, The - Isolated BluRay score - Bernard Herrmann
A message about peace? Yup, people would hate it. Because when the viel is lifted you'll realize people don't really want peace, because of what it requires.. selflessness.

Dark Crystal, The - Isolated DVD Score - Trevor Jopnes
I wonder if they ever made a sequel or novel or something? love this film so much! awesome story! should make an anime of this...

Edward Scissorhands - Isolated DVD Score - Danny Elfman
Sad, he wanted to be normal and in the end when he finally gets accepted the typical douchebag comes along and ruins everything...

Final Destination - Isolated DVD score - Shirley Walker
The best of the series. Interesting note, I believe this is a retelling of a twilight zone episode I'll update when I find it..

Frequency - Isolated DVD score - Michael Kamen
The story of bonding between father and son. what more need it be?

Hollow Man - Isolated DVD score - Jerry Goldsmith
Poor Sebastian Caine. He was obviously suffering from increased aggression and homicidal rage just like the gorilla in the beginning of the movie. The general turned down funding for a project that would make our delta commandos truly invisible? WTH? I would've sought funding from private sector I'm sure someone would be willing to fund this...
p.s. I wouldn't have minded if he killed both
Linda McKay and Matthew Kensington and lived..

Jumanji - Isolated DVD score - James Horner
Fun movie. Williams at his best! He will be missed.

Last of the Mohicans - Isolated DVD score - Trevor Jones & Randy Edelman
Ah. The inspiration for Suisei no Gargantia. that anime should've been about Chamber instead. Anyway I better give this movie a watch..

Little Shop of Horrors - Isolated DVD score - Alan Menken, Howard Ashman & Miles Goodman
Interesting. Why did he kill himself at the end? If I had to feed the flower people to bloom I know a few people I don't like as candidates..

Matrix, The - Isolated BluRay score - Don Davis
Looking forward to this one!

Messenger, The: The Story of Joan of Arc - Isolated DVD score - Eric Serra
Don't think I'll watch one, but I'm listening!

Mummy, The - Isolated DVD score - Jerry Goldsmith
Very campy. It doesn't take itself too seriously which makes it a fun ride.

Nightmare Before Christmas, The (poem) - Christopher Lee & Danny Elfman
The movie was one of those odd yet fascinating movies I've seen as a kid.

Pee-Wee's Big Adventure - Isolated BluRay score - Danny Elfman
Herman very funny performance. fun movie though.

Red Dragon - Isolated DVD score - Danny Elfman
Hannibal seems more sophisticated in this one compared to the other more aggressive side you see in the other films. The 'red dragon' villain was sure confused about his identity..

Sleepless in Seattle - Isolated DVD score - Marc Shaiman and various
Stand by Me - Isolated DVD score - Jack Nitzsche and various
You've Got Mail - Isolated DVD score - George Fenton and various
Awesome movies, Awesome scores. I cried a little.

Witches of Eastwick, The - Isolated DVD score - John Williams
The thing is, I think I would've sided with the villain in this one simply because i think the women were too unlikeable.

Twilight Zone
The best TV series. stories with varying quality but usually good.

Cauldron, thanks again for bringing these isolated scores public so we can all enjoy.
