I'm just a simple member, yes, but I find odd that only Resident Evil, of all the Capcom franchises, receives this exclusive treatment. Maybe it has something to do wih the movies, as they probably use some copyrighted music that could lead to serious legal issues if shared for free or something like that.

Actually, the ban on Resident Evil was brought about by a game, a Darkside Chronicles' game-rip, to be precise (either CAPCOM, or a legal representative of CAPCOM got in touch with the Staff, at the time): Shrine wanted to play it extra-safe and banned the movie franchise, too.

Now, this is something I shouldn't do, given my "role" around here… But we can't completely stop anyone from (still) sharing forbidden material here at the Shrine, though it would be better if you folks played it the "smart" way: don't leave evidence pointing to the sharing of such material… No idiotic mentions, no covers, no PM me for links, simply send such stuff to the "friends" you might have around here and leave it at that, take what you can get.

nCrypt's been down. Sorry about that. To answer your question about security TUK. I eventually lost everything in my old threads having public links. Ad.fly also helped with me obtaining rare soundtracks that were nonexistant on the internet in FLAC such as Star Fox Assault, Mario Basketball, Clockwork Knight, Irregular Hunter X/Rockman Rockman as well as other personal rips here.

I remember an old friend of mine used to say: "if it's free, then it's not gonna be easy to get it. Only when you pay money for something is that things get done easily"

What he meant by that is that, since you're getting the OSTs for free rather than spending your money on then, you gotta face the challenges: the ad.fly, the nCript, the ocassional MEGA download limit being reached, and so on. It demands patience to download stuff for free on the internet, but let me tell ya, it's worth the patience and the effort.

Even I want to see A Hat in Time complete soundtrack (it's definitely one of the best indie OSTs of the year) but I hate working with OGG and low bitrate audio that's unfortunately plagued games nowadays. They are willing to release a very close to complete soundtrack and I'd buy it myself if they released it in FLAC preferably with missing tracks/jingles. Since it's an indie game, the devs (Gears For Breakfast) and Pascal (Plasma3Music) shouldn't be impossible to contact. Those who want it should contact them and demand "to buy" a more complete FLAC release not off of just Steam but on Bandcamp, Loudr, 4digital, all these other platforms that support lossless.

It didn't look that way. The veto applies because the franchise happens to contain arranged/remixed music from a series which is no longer allowed on the Shrine, it's not hard to understand. I'll repeat this for the sake of clarity: CAPCOM itself (or one of its representatives) contacted the Staff and got whatever music is related to BIOHAZARD banned... Whatever music, the ban is "effective" since the original release of Darkside Chronicles.

I wasn't sure where to post this, but I wanted to ask you how you ripped Wario Land 4, the quality is really well done! There are some GBA games I've wanted to rip but I've had problems with making it sound good. I assume you used GBAMusRiper in part, but I'm not able to make it sound as nice as yours so I was wondering what else you did.

Could you possibly create an album for Mario Kart: Double Dash? There aren't many places to find a complete rip of all the music without SFX in the sequenced fanfares, and it would be amazing to finally hear them all in one place. It would also be nice if there was a non-echo version for those who want an un-edited version.

Extras were up way before I updated MK8 to MK8 Deluxe. The track order and disc numbering was changed to accommodate the new songs. I never updated the extras however and I probably shouldn't of even numbered them.

If !!!!! does decide to do an entire OSV of Super Mario Odyssey, I'm hoping he's aware of how the multichannel streams work. I.e. what plays when.
For example, Torkdrift has 8 channels, or 4 pairs of channels.
The first 2 pairs are hi-hats. These ALWAYS play.
The second 2 pairs play on the first or second stage/phase of the boss.

Because I edited the tracks and there's no good way of re-saving lossy audio. MP3 is for convenience sake. Converting back to OGG wouldn't make much of a difference considering the 128kbps source.

Some days later, I figured it out.
Apparently the music is how they are in the 2011 version, except the game's loop points work in a way that the music always begins normally like they do in the SEGA CD but then it goes back to the actual beginning with the complete intro.

It's a pretty weird mechanic but ok

Does anyone know why they decided to use the chiptune version of Ice Cave Chant in place of Northern Hemispheres (snow stages), and use "Kremlantis"/"Flooded Ruins" from Donkey Kong Land in place of Ice Cave Chant? Kirby Star Allies FLAC version is missing track 1-12 and has two 1-14 tracks...
EDIT: 1-13 is 1-12 and the first 1-14 is 1-13. Also, Track 2-07 contains the audio tracks of both 2-07 and 2-14.

When one of the mp3 links is down I just run the FLAC version through dbpoweramp where you can choose any mp3 settings you'd like. It's pretty easier than him reuploading the whole thing.

Is there any difference in soundtrack quality between DKC:TF Wii U and DKC:TF Switch? Wii U was 16-bit/32KHz. Is Switch still 32KHz or another sampling quality? I'd love to get an upgrade to 44.1KHz if it exists.

Hey, couple questions: For releases like Kirby Star Allies, how are they encoded to 44khz when the system is limited to 32khz? Looking at the tracks, the Spectographs and Sonographs look pretty good, though there doesn't seem to be any new information past ~22k, 44k is still higher than the system. Hi guys! Thanks so much for all of these amazing uploads. I don't know if you remember or not, but a few years back I made the album art that is now used on the Smash Bros. Music Collection. While I still think that art is pretty cool, I have improved a lot since making that, and had grown to dislike that one for how busy it is. Inspired by the cut-and-dry nature of all of the promo material for Smash Ultimate, as well as through studying numerous VGM album arts over the years, I made a brand new cover for the Smash sound selection. If you don't care about it or don't want to use it, that is alright, but I thought I would leave it here so, at the very least, some people can see it. I would be just as honored if you used this new one as I was back when you surprised me by applying my old one when I was a budding album artist. Plus, this one is future-proofed for when you inevitably compile the music from Smash Ultimate! Let me know what you think, thanks so much.

I've had to cut down on the hi-res image links cluttering my thread that I actually didn't think many people would use due to errors I would updating the posts. Most of my releases should have the highest quality covers and I've actually thought of adding the following covers for updated versions of the Megaman games that I never actually updated.

Any chance we could get a MegaMan 11 rip, especially considering that the OST isn't going to have the Wily Numbers Instrumental tracks, opting for entirely new arrangements?

Update: Just check other ncrypt links its doing the same thing on the ad fly websites

Oh I see the previous comments now especially from aces man I really hope this gets fixed.

Damn I used to always download from !!!!! No problem on same links from ad fly for years now never had issues or viruses. I think the links are down it has to be that.

Maybe nobody here would be interested, and I am well aware of the numerous other rips of this game, but here is my latest contribution to the community.

You can see the full details on the thread, but the tl;dr is that I ripped Smash Ultimate's OST (new songs only) in both lossless (FLAC) and MP3 V0, and that I did a TON of work to (successfully) improve the sound quality and organize the soundtrack in a manner that would be fitting for an official soundtrack. I'm sure most of you have some rip of the game already, but I ask you to please check out my rip, as I can guarantee that as of right now it is the best Smash Ultimate's OST has ever sounded. The reason I share this here is because I was inspired to make this project by the work done on this thread, and this rip is essentially a spiritual successor to the wonderful Smash Music Collection found here.
