I just noticed something for "Obstacle Course [Yoshi's Island]" and "Obstacle Course Ver. 2 [Yoshi's Island]". "Obstacle Course [Yoshi's Island]" contains versions 1 and 2 of the song and "Obstacle Course Ver. 2 [Yoshi's Island]" contains version 2 of the song. However, there's not separate song for version 1. Is it okay if you can add a separate version 1 track ("Obstacle Course [Yoshi's Island]" right now is the SSB4 version that contains both versions in one)?

Is it okay if you can edit the Wario Land Music Collection a little bit? I feel like some of the Wario Land 3 songs are missing notes (like the staff roll; plus it has this weird 30+ seconds of blank audio; you should also check the Wario Land 1 & 2 songs as well). Also, I feel like Wario Land 4 not only needs to be redone, but it should not be remastered. It should be the normal quality you hear from the game. I swear, the remastered music either remove notes out of the song or they make some sounds out of tune (this is also a problem for the Sonic Advance & Battle Music Collection as well; that should have a normal, non-remastered version as well).

Say, !!!!! I never usually do requests, typically the reason being that I don't want to strain you while sitting back and munching on popcorn having you do the grueling work in my stead, I know how tedious the task of tagging and organizing can be.

This time's an exception though, since nobody has worked on these games yet- at least not to a fully satisfactory extent.
Would you be interested enough to create your own rendition of "Lollipop Chainsaw" or "Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures 2"? I'd do it myself but lack the common knowledge of making it complete and accurate since I've never played said games.

I tried ripping Lollipop Chainsaw but i think it was too tedious to rip and I didnt have that much interest in that game. I would rip Pac-Man if there was a PC version. The console versions I don't know the format it uses to rip.

OK, I've downloaded the updated rip. There's something you did with the SNES games you shouldn't have done.
Why did you remove the echo effect? Now Cave Dweller Concert sounds like it's being played outside in the middle of a field, or in an anechoic chamber.

Also, as annoying as this sounds but... you (still) have Enchanted Riverbank GBA wrong. The Underwater version is fine, but the "normal" version (or the one just labelled as "Enchanted Riverbank GBA" has both the underwater version, AND the normal version.

Audio clipping must be a sign that you're using iTunes since that program does not support 32000hz that many of !!!!!'s albums possess.

Word of advice, use another music player like Foobar or Windows Media Player or even a portable media device to solve the clippping.

!!!!!'s Smash Collection only has the music that was made FOR the games, not the music that comes from OTHER games, so you're outta luck (Onion) kiddo.

This is how I generally solve the problem of iTunes and !!!!!'s MP3s. I simply convert them to AAC files with foobar2000. Yes, they do work.
Also, you are all wrong. iTunes DOES support 32000 Hz. I have many 32000 Hz files (and they are MP3 files at 320 kbps). So it's nothing to do with not supporting 32000 Hz.

Well, in the 'Preferences' section, there is no option for 32.000kHz (Otherwise, 44.1 and 48 listed)- and most cases in which I play these files, the sound is distorted to a squeaky and jerky sound. I'd like to know why you get away with it.

Remember as well- in this case, kHZ, not Hz!

The Ultimate Koopa
03-08-2015, 06:57 PM
Er.... yeah... thank you for that unnecessary last line.

Read my post carefully. I said 32000 Hz. 32000 Hz IS 32 kHz (the .000 is really not necessary... you don't say I'm going to walk 5.000 miles).

I didn't say there was an option for 32000 Hz. I said that iTunes is able to play files that are already 32000 Hz. It's nothing to do with the sample rate. It's something to do with how the MP3s are encoded... as it seems to ONLY apply to !!!!!'s rips.

I think so. I don't alter any of the audio in anyway unless to put them together to sync in the first place. I just change the MIDI tempo for the beat and then convert it for use.

I know this is over 2 months old but.... how come the first place beats sound nothing like the first place beats that are actually from the game, i.e. the ones that I posted somewhere in this topic about 3 months ago?

All I hear is "closed hi-hat, open hi-hat, snare drum, open hi-hat".

I'm wondering how they go about doing variations, especially Music Park, since generally that has more variations than any other track...

Normal
Piano
Marimba
Xylophone
Notes (i.e. tick tick tick boing)

Then double that, for frontrunning beats (also will they include that?)

This then makes Music Park about 6-7 minutes long (as proven by !!!!!'s version)

This was something I was wondering too. I think it had something to do with the software he was using. Because when I exported the MIDI beats myself, they sounded much different than the original 120BPM file. Like you pointed out, close and open hi-hats with a snare drum in between. Makes the beats almost impossible to hear.

So I've been wondering; TheUltimateKoopa, what software did you use to edit MIDI files? Specifically their BPM.

Knowing Nintendo's take on 'sound selection' they're most likely not going to put variations. The two discs is probably just because they may also include both DLC packs onto there as well. While it would be nice for first place beats to be on there, only time will tell whether or not Nintendo decides to include it in their soundtrack.

There are two errors on the Wario Land Music Collection:

-The Domino Row's theme is mistakenly that of Doodle Woods.
-The Ending Version of Toy Block Tower is absent.

Also if you're interested, I'd suggest replacing the 2SF files used for Wario - Master of Disguise with NCSF files. Why you may ask? Here's a comparision.

- 2SF File Converted to MP3 (from your Collection) 6-14 Mad Hat (http://www.mediafire.com/listen/3r9pjmi7eta3cwk/6-14_Mad_Hat.mp3)

- NCSF File Converted to MP3 Mad Hat [NCSF] (http://www.mediafire.com/listen/q26b46b4od1314h/Mad+Hat+%5BNCSF%5D.mp3)

Sounds much better doesn't it? Since I'm such a nice guy, I'll leave here all the NCSF files ripped from the game if you want.

By the way, you must drag and drop your file in the Playlist windows of FL Studio to import the sample/songs in FL Studio. (not in pattern)

OSV is just a title I use for my rips. It's an old term used for old video game soundtracks though not used anymore.

Most likely. Also, I'm wondering how they're going to do the OST, specifically Water Park, Dolphin Shoals, Cloudtop Cruise, Animal Crossing, Super Bell Subway..... and so on.

Will they do like !!!!! does, and have a really long medley of "normal -> normal with frontrunning -> other version -> other version with frontrunning", or will they just not have the frontrunning versions, and just have the variations as a medley? Also, will they do an Animal Crossing medley, or have each season a separate track? We only have 2 days until the OST is officially released (but it'll be longer before anyone actually gets it, physically, unless people are able to access the OST using... other methods.... before anyone else)

They could fit all of the non-DLC music onto two discs if they do it the way !!!!! does it. After checking, it looks like all of the music in the game fits into two about two hours, with all course music looping once, with the first loop being the normal music, and the second loop being another version of the track. If they cram the discs full (sort of like they did with the Smash 4 soundtrack), there's about 38 minutes left for them to stuff DLC music into, so I would be surprised if we didn't see any of it. Either that, or we could see the other music from the courses you mentioned.

I'm currently contemplating whether to just wait for my copy of the OST which will come this week before I add the new tracks.

I assume songs with variations will be merged together and if that's the case it will sound sloppy with Dolphin Shoals. Animal Crossing tracks will be merged and not loop and I don't expect frontrunning beats if there's even a second loop on songs to fit all of the tracks.

!!!!!? I just thought you should know that the Mario Kart 8 OST is not being released until June or July. The April 21 is the date that you can start redeeming the soundtrack, NOT the release date. However, if you still want to wait until the release, that's fine.

Just before anyone asks for proof:

Since the OST isn't out until summer (planned for June ~ July, as pointed out), I think a lot of us would like an addition to your MK8 soundtrack done in the style and arrangement/order you have set up so far.
I know I would! :)

Foobar doesn't have this problem. If you're using a music program like iTunes, then you could try fixing the VBR MP3 header or rebuilding the MP3 stream with Foobar, and then readd the files to iTunes. I have the same problem with some of !!!!!'s downloads (it's only happened with his Wii gamerips, though), and haven't tried either of those methods for myself, but I'm pretty sure that should fix the issue.

It's probably your punishment for using iTunes. Stop using iTunes.

Nobody ever specified it was iTunes. But abandoning one music player, which probably has all of his albums on there to begin with, in favor of another undefined program isn't really a helpful suggestion.

Oh my gosh these are AMAZING! You have everything here! I wanted to say thanks for a ton of random OST's I have downloaded from here, they are always really high quality. I love how you work the special remix/FX tracks from the official soundtrack and mix them in seamlessly with the gamerip, they really are complete sound versions.
Anyway, the main reason I came here was to give everybody this. The Smash music collection is great, but the cover didn't really suit me, so I made my very own, modernized Super Smash Bros. Music Collection cover art. Here: https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1iuzAW3gh8U9hMlqjP4RYoVbg9x7dl0lBMtxk5Z_21-0/pub?w=1440&h=1440

I have the legitimate frontrunning versions of the Mario Kart 7 tracks. If you want them to add to the Mario Kart 7 set, I can upload them.
I could also make medley versions (i.e. Normal -> Frontrunning), as well. Here's two examples (and for those with a keen ear, yes, Waluigi Pinball and Airship Fortress have the correct frontrunning beats):

Okay, I'm not asking how you rip these games, but do you edit the sound afterwards or something? Or do gamerips just sound that much better than in-line? Just asking because I did a side-by-side comparison of the Triple Deluxe OSV, and it sounded waaaaay better than what the 3DS sounded like.

No one cares about Mario Kart 7 anymore?

I would very much appreciate if the frontrunning beats from Mario Kart 7 were uploaded. :) That game's soundtracks is still one of my most favorite.

Also, in regards to Waluigi Pinball and Airship Fortress, I too have noticed that the frontrunnings used for them were different than the beats used in the other tracks. While the rest of the tracks seem to have the simple house beat of "One-two, one-two", the aforementioned tracks sounded like.. I'm not sure how to put it, but the drum beats were much more rapid as if it's another set of midi used for the frontrunning beats.

The Ultimate Koopa
07-02-2015, 08:15 PM
The frontrunning beats are much more than just "one two".

Usually, you hear the louder parts, so it just sounds more like "kick (8th note), open hi-hat (8th note), snare (8th note), open hi-hat (8th note)", where as Airship Fortress/Waluigi Pinball will probably sound more like "kick (8th note), closed hi-hat (16th note), closed hi-hat (16th note), snare (8th note), closed hi-hat (16th note), closed hi-hat (16th note)".

Well, here's the frontrunning versions:
https://mega.nz/#F!WYwS2QQQ!Bz4Bow4FN1Kw9deo3ZTqxA

They are separate files, but of course, you have the "Download as a ZIP" option.

Also, they are tagged by name, but nothing else. No artist, no track numbers, or anything like that. Also, I have separated the variations, i.e. Rainbow Road, Piranha Plant Slide, and Wario's Shipyard (I can't remember if I used the UK or US titles).

I've noticed some errors in the RockMan/MegaMan Music Collection:

I haven't downloaded the new version, but here are the mistakes of the version I have:

Songs That Only Loop Once That Need to Loop Twice

Disc 2 Track 8: Crash Man Stage (Mega Man 2 NES)
Disc 2 Track 16: Dr. Wily Stage 2 (Mega Man 2 NES)
Disc 3 Track 16: Blues (Mega Man 3 NES)
Disc 5 Track 27: Ending (Mega Man 4 NES)
Disc 7 Track 21: Dr. Wily Stage (Mega Man 5 NES)
Disc 11 Track 8: Mid-Boss (Mega Man 8 PS)
Disc 11 Track 28: Boss Appears (Mega Man 8 PS)
Disc 14 Track 2: Opening 2 (Mega Man 9)
Disc 14 Track 22: Suspense (Mega Man 9)
Disc 16 Track 42: Endless Struggle (Endless Stage) (Mega Man 10)

There are also some songs that don't fade out, but looking through 900 songs will take forever to find and point out. I think most of them are in Disc 13 (I think) & 18. Can you (or anyone else) find any songs from that collection that loop, but don't fade out so that they can be fixed?

---------- Post added at 03:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:09 PM ----------

Also, if anyone can find anymore songs that only loop once when they are supposed to loop twice, can you please tell !!!!! or me?

nCrypt was probably used by others to link to another site that may have malware (sites like safelinking can do the same) however for me it is only a site to access my links from MEGA. I use nCrypt links to prevent uploads from being reported by bots and quickly reported by people if they take the effort to access the link.

Yeah you're right about the music not supposed to be clipping like that. I've checked and its an issue with the plugin that I use to render the audio. (NEZplug) Unfortunately it's the only plugin that I can use to render the entire track with channels muted so I can separate each individual channel. The only other program I can do that in is with Audio Overload but the process of rendering audio with that program is far too ridiculous to do.

I thought you would have heard of this already, but, download foobar2000, with Game Emu Player: http://www.foobar2000.org/getcomponent/5ba1b288b4576466200d45a3852da8b6/3dab5829c3deef79cdf4f547a1a64781/foo_gep.fb2k-component

It supports the following formats: AY, GBS, GYM, HES, KSS, NSF, SAP, SFM, SGC, SPC and VGM.

The full list of possible options are:
Global settings:
Force all songs to play indefinitely

Supported formats:
Tick boxes for 11 different supported formats, as mentioned above.

Options to set the default length and fade-out time for AY, GBS, HES, KSS, NSF, SAP, SGC, AND SPC files that do not have preset lengths.
Sample rates for AY, GBS, GYM, HES, KSS, NSF, SAP, SGC, and VGM (choose between 8000, 11025, 16000, 22050, 24000, 32000, 44100, and 80000)

NSF options:
Write to files
Ignore 4011 writes
Convert to NSFE if necessary
Ignore NSFE playlists

SPC options:
Remove surround effect (used for example, in the bass line of Stickerbush Symphony in DKC2)
Interpolation (None, Linear, Gaussian, Cubic and Sinc)

VGM options:
GD3 tag reader prefers Japanese fields
Loop count (choose from none, or between 1 and 10

The final 4 options are for effects.
Bass and treble should be self explanatory.
The third option, is Echo depth. This increases two things. Firstly, obviously, there is a slight, but noticeable echo effect. Secondly, it increases how far Square 1 and Square 2 channels are panned by default (left and right respectively, I think).
The fourth option, as you may have guessed, is the option to completely turn the effects off. Simply having "Effects" ticked, also, for some reason, causes the PCM channel to have a one-sided inverted surround sound type effect.

The 3 tunes that were mentioned in a previous post, sound like this, when "Effects" is ticked in the Game Emu Player configurations:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAWYFN-TJJA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sa1nWxDk160
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXygf6JoeH8

Also, no pops.

Unfortunately, the loud clicks in the WarioWare rip, are in the actual rip. There's nothing you can do, other than painstakingly and time-consumingly remove each pop in each file, in audacity, or something. Or maybe a fixed rip could be ripped?

If you read my post correctly, you'd know I mentioned the last settings, where it says Bass, Treble, Echo, you may have also read the part where "it increases how far Square 1 and Square 2 channels are panned by default"

Therefore, I don't understand what your need for channel muting is, but if you insist:

Play a GBS file. Then click View -> GEP Control. You can only change the GEP settings while a supported file is playing due to each format having separate settings.

There is however, a slight problem with the entire Game Emu Player plugin. If you listen to the track you have labelled Balloon Barrage, you'll notice the sample used in the bass changes after about 1 second. This happens with other stuff.

Therefore, if this is an issue, there is a longer process. Download one of the latest versions of Visual Boy Advance, find the GBS2GB converter thing, figure out how the heck you're supposed to use it, convert gbs to gb, open the gb file in VBA, change the audio settings so that stereo, sound enhancer, and declicking is enabled, then turn "output to audio" on, and then manually listen to each song one by one (this will require you to listen to the entire song, manually, in real time). You can have it as one single WAV file, and just make sure you record enough of each track to add a fade-out, and cut each track in Audacity/whatever, and save as separate audio files.

Like I said... "longer".

However, if that's too complicated, why do you want channel muting anyway? Both Game Emu Player and VBA have a stereo feature, which does exactly what you do. It pans the two "Square" channels. If you include "surround sound", or in the case of Game Emu Player, the

I support that idea. I've also found out a way to completely remove those annoying clicks from the 5th/DPCM channel (sampled noises) but it involves taking that channel and manually editing them out via Audacity and mixing it back with the rest of the tracks. Of course, that will take so much time to complete.

I support that idea. I've also found out a way to completely remove those annoying clicks from the 5th/DPCM channel (sampled noises) but it involves taking that channel and manually editing them out via Audacity and mixing it back with the rest of the tracks. Of course, that will take so much time to complete.

Imagine doing that with hundreds of tracks. Adding in the clicks that come with every channel. So you'd have to edit a song painstakingly 4 times before you move on the next song out of hundreds.

With 77 pages, I don't feel like checking if it was answered, but there are two questions I have regarding the DKC/L collection.

Firstly, why did you disable the "echo" effect? Cave Dweller Concert sounds like it's being played in the middle of a field, rather than in a cave.

Secondly, are you able to get the land version of "Enchanted Riverbank" from the GBA version of DKC3? You have the Underwater version, and then both combined, but not the Land version.

The land version sounds like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkvJSpet09Q

Agree with what? The fact that the echo shouldn't be removed, or that the "Land" version of Enchanted Riverbank GBA should be included?

It doesn't take that long. All !!!!! does is converts them from native formats, and does some EQ, reverbing and stuff, and then exports them as 320 kbps MP3s, and/or FLACs. It only takes like... about 30 minutes

I just noticed that for "2-15 Boss Intro" from the RockMan X3/MegaMan X3 SNES portion of your RockMan X/MegaMan X Music Collection is the exact same as "2-14 Shipyard Port (Crush Crawfish Stage)", for both the MP3s and FLACs. I'm sure it's just a simple mistake that can be easily fixed.

Not to mention the massive chunks of time it takes to tag and order everything, unless he uses some special method that I'm not aware of.

There is no special technique for tagging, it's the most tedious thing to do. Only thing that helps is using a program for easy tagging like mp3tag.

I'll have to fix that one up eventually. Probably re-rip all the SNES games and Megaman Xtreme once again to update the mixing quality.

I thought it would be better to have the high quality FLACs of the full songs rather then lesser quality shorter versions at the time.

When you say "I want to replace the echo with a suitable reverb", do you mean you have replaced the echo, or you are going to? The "I want" implies you haven't but are planning to, at least that's how I'm reading it.

There is one thing. Setting it to "no interpolation" does not make it high quality in my opinion. At least that's what it sounds like. Cubic interpolation is considered the best quality by most (not all) people. No interpolation sounds like the music is being played through an early 2000s cellphone. But this is just my opinion.

I have been noticing that you have been remaking some of your soundtracks. Would it be okay if you could remake RockMan/MegaMan Classic Music Collection? Last time I downloaded it, some tracks didn't play their songs fully, some songs that loop didn't play twice, and some songs that looped didn't fade out at the end. Would it be okay if you could re-rip the soundtrack with all of those problems fixed?

Cave Dweller Concert now has cave convolution reverb and I actually use Linear interpolation for SNES stuff now. Cubic and Sinc filters too many high frequencies for my taste.

I don't know if you read this message, but with Dr. Wily Stage 1 of Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge, please listen to that song for about 3 minutes and 25 seconds. That should be the idea of how long you should make that song because there's a bit more to the song. Also, I forgot to mention other songs that need to be played twice, but someone only play once.

4-23: Ending (Mega Man 3 NES)
5-48: Ending (Mega Man 4 NES)
11-8: Sub-Boss (Mega Man 8)
14-2: Opening 2 (Mega Man 9)
14-22: Suspense (Story Demo) (Mega Man 9)

Also, a song that needs to be shorten and only needs to looped twice: 11-28: Boss Appears (Mega Man 8).

MEGA's links all broke very recently.

The files are still on everyone's accounts, MEGA just migrated from mega.co.nz to mega.nz and on top of that changed the hash for tons of files. We don't need to reupload them, just fixing the links - I've had to go back and fix every single link I've ever posted.

I wish I knew how to get the 14-channel "Edit" themes to play.

Now I'm not sure myself, but simply based on playing the game, the "edit" versions, seem to add or remove parts of the tune either based on how much you put on there, or something else. So, maybe the more the stage has on it, the more channels are unmuted, but I'm not entirely sure.

My friend's been really curious about who exactly wrote/arranged all of the music in SMM, so I was just curious as to where exactly you got this list.

The correct name for "robo bug" is Watinga. The manual for Mario Paint confirms this

Can I just say that, as mentioned in another topic (by Vector Harbor), that the Edit themes in Super Mario Maker do not have a specific way of playing them. Which channels are playing and which are not, will be random, each time you refresh the editor, and they will switch around while in the editor. You can create a ridiculously long medley of every version, but..... that's 127 different variation, giving about 6-7 hours per track (if you actually were sad enough to loop the already far too long track, twice).

However, you could always do a medley like this: http://www.brawlcustommusic.com/62277?autoplay (note that some parts were repeated over, in that case, but that's not necessary).

Alternatively, just have every single channel playing at once and have the complete version of the tune.

I can provide WAVs converted from the BFSTMs if necessary. I use the simple method of cmd.exe, vgmstream.exe, and some dll files, and then "vgmstream -o output.wav input.xxx" in cmd.exe

The question is... do you want them as stereo WAVs, with all channels mixed into two and have the full version of each edit theme? Or do you want them separated into the 7 pairs of stereo channels, to allow you to customise them?

Is there no limit to how many or how few of the seven variations are ever heard at once in-game? Would the game ever play just one of the seven, or all seven at once? Is there no single variation that is always consistently present as the others fade in and out?

I think you are forgetting the music to the Space Zone Map music in Super Mario Land 2 in your Super Mario Classic Music Collection soundtrack. Can you please add that?

If you're ever interested in doing a Super Mario Maker OST, I have a cover that you could possibly use.

you would probably need to change the word "soundtrack" to "sound version" if we're dealing with !!!!! her. but good cover despite that.

Guys, I found a solution to the 'ncrypt.referer_tmp' problem. Highlight the URL of the folder and hit ENTER. It should take you to the password screen.
