Something seems to have gone wrong. It keeps telling me "Wrong IP".
Any idea why?

Well some content from MGS2 and MGS3 was removed for the HD editions because of various reasons, and I'm assuming that because certain things where removed (like snake vs monkey) the music for that content would also not be in the game (like the snake vs monkey music), but it is possible that the music would still be in the game files.


I don't know about the music for MGS2 and MGS3 HD editions, as for music from the originals I have not been able to get a rip for MGS2 on the PlayStation because I believe it uses sequenced music just like MGS does, as for MGS3, MGS3 has lossless good quality music so the HD edition could not have better music quality.
MGS2 vs MGS2 HD = I don't know don't have the audio from either because (I believe) the audio is sequenced.
MGS3 vs MGS3 HD = The music from the original is lossless and of good to great quality, so I don't think MGS3 HD could get any better, I will try to take a look later and update this post if I do.

That's because most of the files from this thread have a sample rate of 32.000 kHz; for whatever reason if you play them back in iTunes or whatever you'll hear that popping noise. Convert the files and set the sample rate to 44.100 kHz - that should solve the problem.

Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword are not available at present. If you get a chance to reactivate them I'd appreciate it. Thanks for the hard work!

The Conker: Live & Reloaded rip needs a similar treatment (both versions - MP3 and FLAC - are in need of re-uploading), and it's missing a couple of tracks:

- The Multiplayer Results track that plays after a multiplayer match has ended. This appears to be completely absent in this rip.
- Heinrich...KILL! is incomplete. It fades out after the part where the alien pops out I believe. There's a bit more to the track. It sounds VERY similar to The Experiment's track (which is why I assume you cut it out there), but I believe the chorus in Heinrich...KILL! is louder. Another rip that's been shared on the forums has the full thing.
- Doon Part 1. The other 2 parts are included in "The Doon" in this rip, but the first part (which is featured in the Official Soundtrack) isn't in here.
- While not necessary, I would also recommend including the album version of Rock Solid - Transfusion Remix. This version has a different introduction that the actual game doesn't seem to include.
- The album version of Beach Dead I would also recommend including. This has an extended introduction the actual game cut short.
- Beardy...erm, Birdy (Barn Boys) isn't actually used in the game at all (Birdy doesn't appear in the Barn Boys chapter at all, actually). This is actually his theme from Conker's Bad Fur Day, completely unedited. Rare left in as a placeholder I assume.
- I believe the Elevator Music from the War chapter is also completely absent in this rip as well.

Besides that, I REALLY appreciate these rips. The Dead Rising 2 Soundtrack is insanely hard to find, so I appreciate your hard work.

Thanks for that. I had your rip of Dead Rising 2 on an older computer, but I formatted and only saved a couple of tracks. Having it up again would be fantastic.

Also, thanks for taking my notes about your rip into consideration. I was hoping I didn't sound whiny when I pointed that stuff out, so I appreciate that you took what I said into consideration. I just really like your arrangement of a couple of the tracks (I really appreciate that you edited in the introduction and the OST ending to Surf Punks (Live & Reloaded Remix) in your rip).

Hoping I don't sound any whiner, there was one other thing I forgot to mention:

When Tediz Attack III - Casualty Department - While the beginning musical cue IS used when a Tedi ambushes you, the song that follows is actually Chemical Wafare (a section later in the War chapter), which plays after Conker pulls down a switch and has to outrun some toxic waste rising. I don't believe it's actually used in the game when fighting a Tedi.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Rock Solid on the Official Soundtrack (Not the transfusion remix - The "original" included on the bonus DVD) has a slightly longer ending. Not sure if it's worth replacing the Rock Solid in the current rip with that one.

Re-uploaded those and yes on the Megaman 8 question, it includes the Tenguman SAT, Cutman, Woodman songs as well as extra Saturn songs that have different instrumentation from the PSX version. It also includes beta songs not included in the final version of either MM8.


I was trying to get the FLAX Megaman Zero as well, and they don't work either. I would be really grateful about a re-upload.

I can't seem to download the Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze rip. On chrome I get "page not found" once I get to the very last step of clicking on the black "Download" next to the black arrow after un-checking the box. On Firefox it just says "connecting" and nothing ever happens. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or the file is down?

They have red bars next to the names and all I'm getting are links to 60k .exe files. I'm generally pretty good about navigating the ad riddled hosts, but evidently I'm not able to find my way to the actual file prompt. I've followed the directions as close as I get screens for though.

To clairfy though, I get to the uncheck box next to the download manager, but there is no black download link next to it nor is there a faded "can't download" text or link anywhere else. It just stops there.

The Beep Block song plays in the background of its stage so I count it as a song. I'll exclude the rainbow notes because they're practically impossible to rip cleanly like in SMG1 & 2.

I still don't consider the Beep Blocks song music, as it actually uses randomly-choses patterns (I haven't counted how many possible patterns there are) but I'm sure it's sequenced and probably easy to remaster. If somebody had a complete BCSAR unlike Team_Fail's released one I might do something on MODPlug. And if I feel like it if I MIGHT do the Rainbow Notes.

Here's what you can do: Release the soundtrack, I'll wait until someone PMs me the BCSAR, and I'll see what I can do.

I agree, since the Beat Blocks tracks are SEQUENCED, and not likely to be extracted. Even if we manage somehow to convert the correct .cseq files to .mid, they will still not sound right without the proper soundfont.

Once Wii U ripping is possible (which I don't believe is anytime soon) I believe SM3DW's Beep Block Skyway theme is also sequenced, because whenever I pause at some points some instruments (usually the synth vox) don't play. I think it might be the only sequenced SM3DW song, but it's at least consistent unlike SM3DL's Beep Block theme.

Yeah, I'm in agreement that the beep part isn't really necessary, or part of the music. They didn't even include it on the official Super Mario 3D World album.

It's probably because the tracks are at 32 kHz. Try converting them to 44.1 kHz and see how they sound.

There are many ways to do that, but I would recommend Foobar2000. Go into it's DSP options and there you'll find the resampler. Set it to 44.1 khz and then convert the files you put into foobar.

Yeah I haven't done a rip on the galaxy games because there are rips I couldn't best from slippytoad who ripped most of the pain in the arse sequences. I tend to mostly get rid of reused tracks since they just take up space. The exception would be if a certain track was never ripped but that's unusual.


Dunno about Wario collection, but DKC and SMB collections really need to have SNES music re-ripped.

I'm thinking of redoing the GB portion of the Wario Collection only. Maybe even the sequenced Megaman tracks as well but that's going to be hell if i do that. SMB is almost done and DKC too does need a re-rip and some polish. Unfortunately the GBA tracks for all of these wont have their quality enhanced much.

Your media player must have issues playing 32khz audio files. Use winamp, VLC, or foobar2000. You can also resample to 44khz with a converter but it does hurt the quality technically (why I don't usually do it) but for MP3 it shouldn't mean much.

Decapre theme is my favorite, no doubt. I might like Hugo's theme, as it fuses a but both of his themes in Street Fighter III second and third.
Elena track is very cool, though the voice sample might get annoying to some people. I saw some comments that some people hate this theme.
Rolento and Poison are not that big of a thing.
The best of Street Fighter IV are really the stages tracks. Some themes are awesome like Juri. I am disappointed with Cody's theme. I really like his entry theme in the opening of Super Street Fighter IV.

Juri's theme is the best then Ibuki's. I completely agree with you on Cody's. I feel the composer had problem representing the music of Final Fight.
My boy Haggar got screwed over as well in UMvC3, But the Metro City Map is fine, I feel like he had these 3 theme and had no idea who to assign them to.

Ken needs a jazzy theme badly. I don't know where but I have heard an amazing Jazz arrange of Ken's theme before It always makes me think of that version when I hear it.

I just checked those tracks you pointed, and I feel like they are the same in a certain way and vibe. :/ Metro City sounds fine, but I feel the Cody them of SSF4 in it.

I do like the Ken theme of SF4. I think I heard a jazz version too. You are not the only one.

I'm the exact opposite, I think Juri has the worst track not only in SFIV but Street Fighter in general's history. I also really disliked Decapre's theme and thought Elena's theme was way too somber especially for fight music and even more so for a brightly energetic character like Elena. I can barely hear any parts of Hugos GA theme in his remix at all but I do like it overall. I like Rolento's mix but it wasn't mind blowing just a casual tune for the game. Posion's theme was just run of the mill lusty, flamboyant sexy woman jazz that's played all too often for her archetype, it's not bad as a track but not all that great just meh.

So other than that I have to agree in SFIV the best tracks are usually the stage tunes.

In cases like this, try using something like jDownloader. That program is smart enough to know which is the real download and which is the executable malware file, and it's especially useful when you're unsure which button gets you your file or some nasty malware.

To remaster audio I import the audio in a DAW, EQ it, use reverb and other little things like that. With like gameboy music currently, i convert songs into each seperate channel and pan them accordingly and EQ them etc.

Extracting game music is different for each game because they have audio stored differently with different formats. I suggest going to XeNTaX ? Index page (http://forum.xentax.com/) and/or HCS Forum - Therefore you are wrong. (http://hcs64.com/mboard/forum.php) as those forums may have programs or ways of getting specific game music that you are looking for.
