The correct loop length of Wily Stage 1 is roughly 2 minutes and 37 seconds.

The loop starts at around 1 minute and 59 seconds. Therefore, the loop itself is 38 seconds. Adding another 38 seconds to 2 minutes and 37 seconds, gives 3 minutes and 15 seconds. Adding a fade out of 10 seconds, means 3 minutes and 25 seconds should be roughly the correct length of two loops.

"Boss Appears" from Mega Man 8 has a length of 28 seconds, with the loop starting more or less at the beginning, therefore, 2 loops + 10 seconds should be 1:06

Ending from Mega Man 3 should have a total length of around 2:23
Opening 2 from Mega Man 9 should have a total length of around 1:28

These are purely based on how people have looped custom BRSTMs.

Are you using iTunes? !!!!!'s rips do not play correctly on it. You must use different music player, like WinAmp or Foobar2000.

You could always raise the bitrate to 44100Hrz with Audacity or foobar if you have the resampler plugin. iTunes doesn't support 32000Hrz for some odd reason, and that's why the playback sounds distorted.

Uh.. There absolutely IS a difference between FLAC and MP3. Otherwise there'd really be no point to it and people wouldn't be using it as much as they do. MP3 only goes up to 20.5 kHz whereas FLAC has no limits. Converting a flac to any audio format will not lose any quality (other than the format's specific capabilities) whereas converting a lossy file, such as an MP3, will degrade it of its quality, even if you're converting to FLAC. etc., etc.

There may be a difference but it is by no means noticeable compared to MP3 320 and is not worth the sacrifice of hard drive space.

They've been like that since at least the Wii. Although, some Nintendo 64 soundtracks are even lower. Mario Kart 64 is 26007 Hz, some of them are as low as 22047 Hz, but some, e.g. Castlevania (64), can be as high as 44100 Hz.

Do the Brawl tracks include the edited melee themes? Some of the melee themes that made it in Brawl were edited with different synths and stuff.

Up until recently Nintendo did that with all its games.

You will probably ignore this, but these errors have been driving me nuts for months and these need to be fixed ASAP.

Has anyone ever thought about making a topic, with big red letters saying STOP SPREADING FALSE INFORMATION ABOUT ITUNES NEEDING ALL MP3S TO BE A SPECIFIC SAMPLE RATE! THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHY SOME MP3S HAVE AWFUL GLITCHED SOUND!!!?

This is somewhat wrong. It DOES have something to do with sample rate, but not a specific. I can confirm on at least 3 different occasions with 3 different albums I converted the files from a rate lower 44100 to 44100,
and...... it fixed the glitched sound. There... this "feud" and problem is now solved. Thank you for your time.

I came to the conclusion LONG AGO if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. I try my best to export and tag all my own music usually with Winamp unless I'm unable to for some reason, thats when I get help from someone.

Hey, !!!!!, is there any possibility you can rip the music from Excitebots Trick Racing for the Wii? I got a rip from another user but am having trouble: some tracks have 1-second intros that are separate files, and simply combining the intro with the rest of the track doesn't work because 1) they just don't sound right (different volume/quality), and 2) the 1-second intros are a split second too short so it sounds like it skips a beat. Some tracks don't even have the 1-second intros so they just start a second in. Can you give it a shot? The rip I am using can be found here (Thread 119745).

If I ever do a metroid collection it will probably not include the prime series music. On large collections I tend to just have sequenced songs rather then "enhance" already mixed and mastered music.

I don't hear any distortion or any issues with those tracks. PM me those three tracks you resampled so I can compare.

Must be iTunes messing up your albums like always. To this day it still distorts your work like it's been through a tin can.

Yea. iTunes has a garbage converter. Was stuck with an iPod Touch and iTunes for a while, dealing with the slow sync times and constant removing of my music.

I switched to a phone running on Android. Thank god for expandable memory.

Try downloading the FLAC files, then convert them to MP3, make sure the sample rate is set to 44.100 kHz, no lower, and the problems are gone.

I think it's because the cutscene music for New Super Mario Bros. is in midi and is easily rippable but I have no idea about Super Mario Sunshine's.

A Mario Galaxy collection was something I considered a long time ago but I can't rip sequenced audio from Wii/Gamecube games so that wasn't going to happen. Didn't consider Super Mario Sunshine but can't rip it regardless due to the same reason for not making a Galaxy collection.

Whoa, I'd almost forgotten that you were working on this kind of stuff since it has been so long (over a year or so I think). From this I can assume that I made a gross underestimation of how busy you are.

Yeah I went from planning an absurd DKC arrange collection with the cover you made me (138 tracks plus DKL versions of songs that werent done in the DKLs) to doing a Sonic Advance collection since the music which songs are simpler and shorter to work on so I could focus on improving my mixing. Also sitting on an incomplete DK64 arrange and a few individual songs. Maybe I'll finally start tossing these songs on Soundcloud or something.

It's rippable but sequenced. There arent any tools that I know of to easily assemble the songs together.

Just wanted to post to simply say that I love this collection of VGMs that you have, and all of very solid quality. Thanks for putting so much effort into this collection. I will miss the Megaman/Rockman set of fangame sets (Rockman 7 FC, Mega Man Time Tangent, etc.), but if it's better to leave them out for now until a larger request for them return, then it is what it is. Still, great stuff here.

I know you don't take requests, but since you usually take care of the Nintendo flagship series games, I was wondering if you have any plans to do The Legend of Zelda: Tri-Force Heroes? (the 3DS multiplayer game). There have been a few dumps of raw files around here, but none done up as a proper "album" with track ordering, title and artist tags, etc. I think the fact that there are so many alternate channels might be intimidating for someone to try and organize, but this is really the perfect soundtrack that could use your special touch.
I think there's an issue with some tracks being sequenced... There is a musical minigame in the waiting lobby where you keep a ball floating in the air by hitting it, and it plays classic songs from the Zelda series... and if you play the game via Download Play, everyone with a downloaded version has all the music done in 8-bit style, but I've heard those tracks are sequenced as well...

Because they sound different from some straight .vgm gamerips I have. I also recorded some of the .vgms to flac and the file-size/Kbps was much lower than the tracks on here (which is expected from simple square waves and such). Just asking out of curiosity.

The songs are short in SMB3. I don't hear any non looping tracks at least going through the NES version of SMB3.

It's game rip audio mixed/remastered in a DAW. It's not just the NES music but any sequenced music (SNES, Mega Drive/Genesis, Gameboy, GBA, etc) from those rips have similar treatment.

I admit only the tempo's different, but that's still what sets it apart from the Original Versions. If I just sped up the tempo without knowing what the proper tempo was, it wouldn't be accurate... Does anyone know how I could Rip the Music from an Emulated Version of these games, without needing to play the whole game just to do it? As well as Omitting the SMB2 Pause Tracks' Square Wave Channels? Or does anyone have them Ripped already?
