If there is not limit between funny and a just plain ..... jesus. I those arts made me thing that Tehcnorch is a psychopath that puts all is psychopathy in art and music. Sorry, but there is no other explanation for such artworks he keeps on using, which are abusive in all sorts of levels.

I've used to see/hear some references in some of J-Core Songs... my first J-Core artist was RoughSketch and it was and still reasonable weird at some points.

Anyone else think a lot of these tracks are more enjoyable to listen to in a well-mixed set? I'm just now listening to Speed Ball Evolution and the bonus CD mix is awesome IMO, beats the hell out of listening to the tracks individually. I've always preferred listening to hardcore mixes than just albums or single tracks, but it depends.

Definitely. It's fun to leave a mix playing while you chill and do other stuff. With albums it's harder to do that sometimes since there's less flow and less energy. I find myself skipping through tracks a lot more or not in the mood for certain types of songs.

On an unrelated tangent, I think it's cool that a bunch of j-core artists including REDALiCE made tracks for a SEGA Joyopolis attraction thingy: HALFPIPE TOKYO Original Soundtrack - VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/36679) It's neat finding some of these artists in places you don't expect them.

That artwork can then be shared and enjoyed by others who are in the mood to accept some of their own bottled up darkness. In the doujin scene, this kind of thing is to be expected, celebrated in fact, as nobody's under pressure to make money by appealing to the masses. Saying you don't support psychiatric disorders is just being intolerant of people who haven't done anything to hurt you other than expose your own problems with acceptance. I mean, look at Betwixt & Between. Clearly a troubled guy, but he created plenty of beautiful music that will stay with us for countless years to come. Tout Est Bien, Reincarnation, the list goes on. Yet, what about Pure Existence? There we have the same guy doing the same thing, expressing his true feelings in music, but is it "wrong" now that it sounds more deformed and dark? Reverend recital and Black Border are the bomb if I'm in the right mood. There's quite a strong "demonic" presence there, and it's the hidden side of Kaoru himself (in addition to the other artists of course). If you don't like it, just don't listen to it, instead of blaming the artists for having the courage to express how they felt.

I'll admit my comments were stretched, its just that when you been through an experience where a supernatural presence causes harm its rather repulsive, like TECHNORCH's album art.

Ah. Well, I'm sorry that kind of thing had to happen. I actually had a similar issue once with a certain anime...couldn't look at anything related to it for about a year without getting this absolutely horrible feeling...but I did get over it eventually. Anyway, unless everyone starts reporting similar experiences from Technorch's album art, it may not be your fault it happened, but it isn't Technorch's either. If you're still really concerned about what occurred, there are better places to talk about it than here.

I have to agree that first track "My style" is an epic intro and the track I like the most has to be Rock the Party. Its Hard style + Fruity Lyrics + Awesome Composition = Well... an Awesome Song.

"Sakura era (aran remix)" is actually my second favorite it sounds way too poppin', dem trap style be dem doping. (got carried away)

His Pulse remix is awesome too. Good to see more Nanashi stuff IMO. Cheerful from Kicks for Liberation 4 is still one of my top-listened-to tracks. And all the Nanashi tracks on the Hocchi Pocchi albums are up there too.

Haha yeah. I'm quite amused at the hate towards technorch and his album covers here, especially by Orie who I've heard say nothing any of the other "morally reprehensible" stuff by other artists including Betwixt. The fact is there's tons of art done just because it is morally wrong. Morals vary and art is subjective and some people wanna watch the world burn and all that jazz. When it comes to art to each his own is my take.


Anyways, two cool things, sounds like GULD is planning to release an album through NRGetic Romancer this year which a bunch of different artists and also he's having a get together "event" which I was shocked to find Hase (RaverRose/Khaotic Dimension) listed on. Seems he might be coming back, would be awesome to have new Hase stuff.


Also am I the only one getting bored of Massive New Krew these days? They've kind of gone the route most hardstyle producers have and all their music sounds kind of the same. They started out doing unique stuff, but it'd be nice if they "evolved" or something.

Here's my breakdown of the C.H.S. album KAKATTEKOYEAH!!!!, which is broken up into rounds of t+pazolite vs. other artists.

Round 1:

C-show wins this round. sideflip is just too cool, and it's the one that most got my attention from the crossfade. C-show has been an emerging new favorite of mine when he's not doing generic edm... naughty adventure is good, but it's sort of just another tpz track, nothing special to me.

funny thing, i loved sideflip to death the first 4 or 5 times i heard it, then the novelty just suddenly wore off, and i don't really like it at all any more. it still wins this round though.

Round 2:

T+pazolite wins this one. luv again is an amazing track. i love the strings, and the bassline reminds me of the last exile opening. all i need is good, but just a little too simple and slow for me.

Round 3:

T+pazolite wins this round as well. the kick in akihabara warriors is too distorted for me, and the whole song is a bit generic. otsukimi party hard on the other hand has a nice warm kick, and some phenomenal vocals.

Round 4:

this was a tough round. i love the gothic style, and adore both of these tracks, but i'm going to have to give it to yooh. MariannE has harder bass, and is produced a bit better, and is overall just a bit more grand. it also has probably the most spine-tingling buildup i've heard. in fact, it might be my favorite on the album.

Final round:

it's the final round, and it's neck and neck. who will win? our hero t+pazolite, or the dream-team of other talented j-core producers? it all comes down to this round. cosMo@暴走P vs. T+pazolite.

let's see here. i had never heard of cosMo@暴走P, but i wasn't too impressed with this track. i found it confusing, a bit boring, and the production a little lacking. Count down 321 wasn't too great to me either, for the same reasons, but i did like it more. Thus, T+pazolite wins.

The Cosmo and aran songs were the best things of that album while the rest was mediocre; I'm not sure the whole thing is like t+pazolite getting owned left and right haha (except against Yooh I guess).
Cosmo is a renowned vocaloid producer who likes to do fast stuff but lately he's making instrumental songs after being exposed to SDVX and IIDX; I'm glad he's around, he reminds me of wac from BEMANI which is an extremely good thing. His track was the absolute best of the album.

Here's my take on Kakkatekoyeah

Round 1: 220 BPM (C-Show vs t+pazolite)
Sideflip was actually incredibly disappointing for me. When I saw 220 BPM I was totally hyped for an awesome Panic Holic-style Hardcore vs Drumstep track, but then the drop happened. C-Show even teases with the kick in the buildups, but it never makes a full appearance. You might find them cool, but the loops really don't do very much for me.

Naughty Adventure is very much t+pazolite, in a good way. Not much else to say. The melody reminded me a bit of the Pokemon Route Theme (can't remember which version) and I really liked that.

Result: 1-0 t+pazolite. Not even close.


Round 2: Disco (Aran vs t+pazolite)
Aran nailed it with All I Need. It's funky, cool, chilled, and it's a killer Nu Disco track. The tempo is perfect and totally makes me want to dance. Small details like the vocal samples and touches of wub really make this great.

I thought he might do something like he did in Honey Cheeks here, but Luv Again is funk with t+paz twist. Not that he did anything wrong though because it sounds awesome. The loops get pretty repetitive and annoying at times though.

Result: 1-1 tied. Both tracks were really good but I think Aran had the better disco track. Luv Again is a bit fast for disco and lacked in the chill department.


Round 3: Tag-team Loli Gabba (RoughSketch & uno feat. Chiyoko vs t+pazolite feat. Nanahira)
Akihabara Warriors is fucking sick. There's nothing much special about the structure or production, but this track kicks way hard. As gabber/hardcore this is an easy 10/10 but for this round I think there wasn't enough loli/kawaii here. The only real feature Chiyoko gets is screaming "AKIHABARA WARRIORS!". That single line got me real hyped anyway, but the point still stands.

Otsukumi Party Hard does not have the same problem however, and Nanahira's vocals are absolutely beautiful. The breaks are great and the gabber even better. An all around solid track.

Result: 2-1 t+pazolite. Akihabara Warriors had me headbanging way harder but came up short in the loli department. In this sense, Otsukumi covered all the bases better and overall wins this round.


Round 4: Gothic (Yooh vs t+pazolite)
MariannE is on the ball right from the start, with the hauntingly beautiful harpsichord followed by grim wubs which set an amazing gothic atmosphere. It only gets better from there as the keyboard and bass work together to form a spectacular track. 10/10 spooky banger would play during halloween.

Bad Boy's missa doesn't disappoint either and t+pazolite's signature speed and sampling work very well here. The opera-like vocals over the top are great and really help to form the gothic style. The half-time wub segments are a real highlight for me. t+pazolite's instrumentation does make it all a bit comical though, and I think something harder like Call me it would have been better.

Result: 2-2 tied. t+pazolite impressed, but Yooh's more serious take made for the better goth vibe and thus track.


Round 5: 250 BPM OVER!!! (Cosmo@Busou-P vs t+pazolite)
The kicks are the only thing that really make Cosmo's track 250+ BPM and honestly it just sounds really lacking. Not my cup of tea.

High speed is where t+pazolite shines and this track is no execption. Unlike the previous one, Count Down 321 is a real 250+ BPM track and everything about it just screams awesome. This track is flat out crazy and if you're competing for who has the better speed track this is obviously a good thing. A great track to end the whole album with.

Result: 3-2 t+pazolite wins! The challengers put up a tough fight, but C-Show and Cosmo failed to bring their A-Game which really let them down. t+pazolite remains victorious so congrats to him.


Even though it lost in its own round, Akihabara Warriors is my favourite track from here. It might not be anything special, but I headbanged way harder on this track than any others on this album. RoughSketch's kicks are just 2gud.

The Cosmo and aran songs were the best things of that album while the rest was mediocre; I'm not sure the whole thing is like t+pazolite getting owned left and right haha (except against Yooh I guess).
Cosmo is a renowned vocaloid producer who likes to do fast stuff but lately he's making instrumental songs after being exposed to SDVX and IIDX; I'm glad he's around, he reminds me of wac from BEMANI which is an extremely good thing. His track was the absolute best of the album and my favorite song of him atm.

Also am I the only one getting bored of Massive New Krew these days? They've kind of gone the route most hardstyle producers have and all their music sounds kind of the same. They started out doing unique stuff, but it'd be nice if they "evolved" or something.

Edit: skibblesx the mai-chan's daily life live action's already out? :oThey have been playing it safe I'd say since the beginning, they sure ain't taking risks and that's their weakness. I get that its hardcore but their tracks all sound the same, USAO falls victim to this in —Break Out White—.

That's why I never look up to this crew they're not taking risks they should probably venture in PsyTrance Jenkins actually does some good tracks —SUPER AURA anyone?— and that genre lacks much attention.

When MNK was coming up big in like 2013 I thought all their stuff amazing, their sound was new and unique IMO, like Take Off!! and Pulse but now I kinda agree with you. They're making tons of tracks but a lot of their recent tracks don't really stand out to me or sound too similar to other tracks they've made. I didn't know if it was just me being nostalgic tho

Supernova, Say Yeah, Come On Over and Sol & Mar are my favorites

True but for a while MNK's stuff stood out from a lot of the more generic-sounding hardstyle with melodic tracks like Take off!! and Pulse. They seemed to hit their peak in 2013. I can't blame them though, I was thinking about how these guys always manage to produce stuff in time for Comiket and M3 and those events. With music and other forms of art you can't just always force yourself to have the inspiration needed to produce amazing stuff. They probably get music writers block just like anyone else. You can't really put a deadline on that.

Although a problem I noticed lately with some j-core artists is it seems like some of them are trying to imitate all the EDM trend stuff going on in the west, which is obviously generic as hell and is why I started getting more into j-core in the first place, because a lot of these artists seemed to emphasize melodic elements and had unique sounds while a lot of western artists were conforming to the lame commercial, repetitive EDM trends. I used to listen to UK hardcore all the time for years up until like 2011 when a lot of the main players in the scene started doing the lame dubcore stuff lmao. I mean that kind of music is OK if you're in a club or rave but at home or when you're listening to your iPod the music that stands out is the stuff with melodic elements IMO

That's why it's it's cool when they do unexpected stuff like Genki's random metal stuff in the newest Speedball lol
