With AmiAmi, you have to be fast. Their prices are really, really good so people snatch most stuff up as soon as it comes up. Best bet to get stuff from them is to know when they update and check them constantly between 11-11:30 and around 4am. Getting stuff that's actually out is easier than getting pre-orders. They re-stock a good bit too, so she might show up there again. I'll keep an eye out.

They're basically doing the whole story all over again with several tweeks, changes, additions and such, while simplifying the story, but the main theme is the same.

For the most part it feels like it has the same kind a character stuff going on and as for the plot it's more stream lined. Remember who there was a ton of stuff that was very vague because they were gonna revel and explain it later but ran out of time and money so the only way to know what something was was by reading the script? Well now they just straight out say what something is so they have time to do other stuff.

How long are the movies?

The 1st one "You Are [Not] Alone" is almost a remake of the first 6 episodes and runs about 100 minutes. If you get it get the 1.11 version not just because it has deleted scenes added in but also I hear most of the cheaper 1.0 discs have bad transfers and the picture is very dark.

The 2nd You Can [Not] Advance is 108 minutes and I don't think they released anything but the 2.22 version state side.

Right on, right on. So truthfully they're trying to fix the whole "throw everything into two sloppy episodes of shinji crying" and add a little more detail and depth to the story? More upfront, to me, doesn't seem like such a bad thing as long as they're still getting into the character's development/mentality.

And crisper graphics is always a plus. The facial expressions of Rei in the remake brings out more emotion...if that makes sense.

My issue is that I just spent $117 on Optimus, I would feel really irresponsible if I spent another $40 (Mari) or $100 (Grimlock) right now. But the $40 price point makes it more tempting.

That it's a Figma makes it more tempting than a MP, but I have an aversion to MP. So, yeah.

I find if you never post prices, you never feel any of that sort of pressure. That way, it's all a battle with yourself, and not societal norms :smrt:

Yeah, it's something they pretty obviously did to have an excuse to re-release Skull even though they made him an exclusive. I have no complaints. Speaking of which, have to decide whether I want registered SAL or EMS for mine.

Everyone seems so happy with the Ryuki figmas, and Bandai is going all out for the Figuarts, so you really can't go wrong here! I'm really excited about the idea of having one of each. Hope they all get boxes as nice as Ryuki's. ^___^

The Blade Souchaku henshins can have ridiculous prices. I've seen Garren for like $24-$28 and then like $38. Over $100 for Blade's Ace Form, from some idiot sellers. Morons.

Yeah, yeah, I'm not crazy about every Ryuki rider, but I could have a ton of fun posing them all together. Just a huge battle royale. If I were to pick a third it'd have to be Zolda, even if I'm not crazy about his design. I'd love Ryuki, Ryuga, and Imperer too. Oh, and Ouja. Of course Ouja. ; ; THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THERE ARE THIS MANY RIDERS.

Really do think I'll be done with my Femme and then Figuarts Knight Survive when he comes out, though. They're a neat pair to have together, since I believe they're a couple in Dragon Knight.

If I can get Garren for under 30 I think I'll grab him. So many pose ideas already.

Ouja is fun to watch, but I'm not exactly in love with him. His Rider system is definitely awesome, though. Could have so much fun with Knight, Ryuki, and Zolda. The comedy eps weren't as great as Blade's, but they were amazingly good, regardless.

I saw one (actually, it was in an Asian import store) that looked like it would ALMOST work. If the doors opened it would've worked for sure. Can search for 1:12 scale cars with doors that open and see what's out there. I'll ask toy folks as well.

I admit I like Ouja more for the really interesting stuff he brings to Ryuki storywise than for the character by himself, though I think he was perfectly cast. Knight, Ryuki and Zolda would pose so well together. ^^ It'd be like a rider buddy comedy.

Femme is smaller than I thought she'd be. She still looks good with my other figures, though. Really glad she's the one I went with. Have to spend some time getting used to posing Figmas. First time I went to move her arm I popped it off. XD But it pops right back on, so no big deal.

100% understand the Kuuga rabbit hole now. He's beautiful. Just a gorgeous figure. Might take Accel's spot as the number one figure I'd recommend to people who don't care about Kamen Rider.

Both are awesome and having them arrive together is a lot of fun. Two more packages on their way to me. ^___^

I swear I'd seen some before and the difference didn't look that huge. Makes me wonder if Femme is smaller than the others. I would've probably been disappointed if I'd gotten Zolda when I considered him, but she really does look fine posed with other stuff, or at least I think so.

Still adjusting to posing figmas, too! I've learned it's actually easier to pose arms by popping them off, posing them how you want, and sticking them back on. Feels so so weird to do it. Hands are incredibly easy to switch, and they have this neat little hand case too.



She's more fragile than a Figuart too, probably because of her size. I'm kind of terrified of breaking some of her weapons, but I'll get over it.

I'm really glad about the Ryuki Figuarts now because I don't think I would've been satisfied with Figmas of any of the other riders.

Kuuga seriously is amazing. Might be my favorite figuarts. So easy and so much fun to pose. Expressive like the W mode but I don't think it has any of its issues. Paint apps look stunning. Can't do him justice with photos at all. ; ;

Want to say the Right Stuf ships to PO Boxes. I almost always use them for anime stuff, except on the few occasions I've wanted an import item they don't have. Actually though, I just looked and they don't have these cards and they seem kinda hard to get. If you're willing to potentially pay more for them, I'd recommend searching for them and yahoo!Japan and using a proxy to buy them. I'd imagine most proxies are pretty accommodating with this stuff! I've used Rinkya (http://www.rinkya.com/), which has a lot of nice features, but is probably a bit pricier, and Yokatta (http://yokattaweb.jp/), who I had a pretty positive experience with. Other proxy I've used has either changed their name or stopped doing this stuff, as far as I can tell.

Neg can probably recommend a few more proxies.

Yokatta are a bit pricey, but definitely reliable and worth checking out. Oki can help you with Yahoo auctions, but I've found his email account is less than 100% stellar. If you don't get a timely reply, you'd want to hit him up again. He's a nice, patient dude, so this isn't much of a problem. It helps to be a bit familar with the site yourself, though, since it's much faster to show him a link and say HELP ME BUY THIS, than "Can you find this for me?"

Google translate should help you surf Yahoo Auctions yourself, and I don't THINK he'd have a problem mailing to a P.O. Box. He's offered (successfully) to have people ship stuff directly to his clients instead of to him, so he's an accommodating dude.

Rider Proxy seems to specialize more in toku stuff, so I wouldn't recommend her in this situation.

When I got the new book shelves I no longer had enough floor storage under the wooden shelves so I turned them this way and it's actually better due to the fact that I had them facing out but 2 deep so I would have to move the ones in the front to get to the back ones.

1st: Main Cast with Vaders, Lukes, Leias, Hans, Droids, Obi-wans and so forth.

2nd: Main Cast with whoever didn't fit in the first along with expanded universe characters and non star wars guys like Misato, Sean Connery, & Wall.E.

3rd: Stormtroopers & Clonetroopers plus some other imperial personnel.

4th: Rebel soldiers and any other army builder figures + droids.

5th: Creature Cantina & Jabba's Palace monsters.

6th: Jedi, Sith, & Bounty Hunters.

7th:Miscellaneous figures. The few vintage figures I have along with the more boring senators and others I don�t use all that much.

8th: Playmates Star Trek people.

This week at Target, Marvel Universe figures are a dollar off...as well as buy one get one free. This apparently coincides with tons of new stock as well. The line is getting way better with recent waves, so I figured I'd check it out. I hate crowds though, so I figured if I waited till later in the evening, no one would be around and I could investigate comfortably. So, when I finally get there, I walk to the toy section...and as soon as I hit the action figure aisle, I see a guy leaving with a hand basket full of...you guessed it, Marvel Universe figures. He fucking raped that shit. There was nothing left but shitty scraps of figures from waves and waves ago. Even the end cap was emptied. How horribly timed. If I'd just gone earlier, haha.

Would I have done the same as that guy had I gotten there? No, I've actually never gone and emptied a whole section of toys. I'd feel really goofy doing so. I'm a "get one here and there" kinda guy anyway.

I've only done that once with lord of the rings and that's only because there was a total to 2 guys there at the time so I don't think it counts in the same way.

If you can find the 8'' Classics Thundercats (Lion-O & Tygra so far) at Wal-Mart, they're only (yeah, but nice figs for that price) $18. They're very nice figures.

They're resetting the nearest Wal-Mart here, had a few ThunderCats out. I'm not buying any just yet, but maybe sometime soon.

I have Thundercats toys, but I wasn't super super into them. No interest in the new show/stuff.

New show isn't bad at all, and it's miles better than the 80s cheese fest. The voice acting in that show was sooooo bad. Sorry to go to the obvious place, but even the worst of Transformers episodes still had a lot of great voices helping keep it worthwhile. Loved ThunderCats as a kid though, but it didn't fare well with me in later years.

Looking back the only thing I now like about the classic Thundercats is the show's opening.

Yeah I was really impressed with their sculpting. When I re-watched Tim Burton's Batman as an adult I didn't like it much anymore, but I still wish I could afford those.

Funny, the Stargate toys accessories seem to be GI joe accessories. Hasbro also did that (to a much bigger extent) with the street fighter and mortal kombat toy lines.

Even some Transformers Generation 2 toys had re-purposed G.I. Joe weapons. The early 90s saw an incredibly frugal Hasbro.

Wasn't that the camera Master of the Universe that was fan made but never got made? They made a honest to god toy of him finally? They probably didn't bother just giving one to the guy who designed it. Of course if they did do that then the fella probably wouldn't want anything to do with it.

Toys are cool. Discuss.

I can highly recommend the Buster Gear Series. Sougan Blade and Ichigan Buster are fantastical magical. Morphin' Brace is mainly worth it for the buddyroid quotes (as someone who loves Engine Souls). Don't get a Transpod at a retail outlet. They're charging out the fucking ass and it's not worth the price of the item alone, let alone shipping.

If you really need it, hit up Mandarake.

The mech series.... Go-Buster Ace is worth the price of admission. Highly reminiscent of Bart's Gear, Brigandeer. RH-03 looks like shit w/o Usada, but it's screen accurate. Looks awesome with Usada. GT-02 is a parts former, through and through. Only get him if you're getting all 3.

Go-Buster-Oh is......a mess. I have hope that the beetle mech(s) will fill out the arms. The legs are the worst offenders, however. If something else clipped on the inside, it could be great, but I think the candy toy version has the legs lining up with the gorilla boots.

Picked up the regular Shinken Pink and Yellow, from the American line.

I don't even know if they're going to make the Super versions. If they do, and I hear about it, I'll probably grab 'em, sure. If not, this is fine. Perfectly representative of the state of affairs manifest in the mech distribution.

I know they're making the figuarts, but no way I'm buying more exclusives when I still want to get rid of the Normal team.
