That one looks pretty good. I was kinda hoping for at very least a 6" figure or preferably taller (painting on small figures gets really hard for me :p). I wanted to find something cheap and noncollectable just in case I screw up or something. I suppose telling what I'm planning would probably help a little too :p I want to recreate the red and black armor from Day of the Dark Knight episode. The chibi version they made makes me cry T__T I seriously want a good version so I guess I have to do it myself.

DCUC stuff should be plenty big. ^^ It's just the B:TAS stuff that's small. He's actually reasonably cheap.

If the black would be harder to paint over, there are two other Batman figures in the line made from that same mold. Check your toy aisles too, because I see really old DCUC stuff reasonably often.

He's 6 inches, DCUC stuff is a good size. I can take a picture of one with a Star Wars fig or something quick so you can get a good idea of how tall he is. I'm taking toy pictures right now anyways and Darth Vader is chillin' on my counter.

I think the Public Enemies figures are a bit smaller, so they might not work for what CM wants. Zatanna is Italian. :)

The ZeroGasher seriously is huge, it's heavy too. ; ; Even with the movable fingers you have to mess around to get him to hold it well. But, it looks awesome, and BowGun mode is really easy to pose with.

^___^ Glad you wound up liking Chalice a lot too, I'm really excited to see his SH! And, if you don't pick something really hard to get, like Altair/Vega, they seem pretty cheap!

The DenKamen sword doesn't feel particularly heavy. Maybe because Ryou usually holds it with 2 hands? I can't use the opening hands for that, though. They come open. Ryou comes with fixed hands (pretty much Figuart holding things hands) that are to be used with it.

What the hell did they do to Asuka's breasts? I know they put a joint in the upper ribcage instead of having one down lower where it would interfere with the legs & hips or cut her in half but is this really better than a break in the torso sculpt? I'd be fine without that joint if it means the top front is all floaty like that.

The undersides of her hands look really good. The hands and feet along with noses are the little things that can really make a figure look more realistic over others. Like even though her face is anime and thus abstract the hands will be more or less on model for normal human hands.

So as you can see the boobs look alright from certain angles but weird like they're hollow novelty fake boobs at most others. Plus the paint job isn't as good as first presented. Now the faces are really great and the 3 cover her personality very well even though the embarrassed one was only from a 1 sec. frame in one seen. Originally her standard face was going to be the anime cat smiley :3 but I guess they just used it on Mari and didn't want to repeat.
I'm glad I didn't preorder her and I really hope Rei doesn't have the same problems or Misato if they get to her.

Yeah, some of the paint apps look a little off to me. The painted medals look great, though. I am guessing the Ankh box probably will say Unkh too, which makes me sad since it seems like the OOO boxes are going to be awesome otherwise. Just don't see it getting corrected at this point. :(

This is the “Flying Spaghetti Angel” from the dojin Misatogelion I that posted in the Story Time thread or STS.

It was a simple put together of a simple monster. Most of the elements were dictated by the parts I had on hand; for the main body I could either make a bowl out of bricks or use of the 2 bowls I already had, 1 black & 1 Yellow. I have a much more diverse assortment of black bricks than I do of any other color plus most of the angels are black and white anyway to I decided to make him mostly black.
The next big part of this guy is the tentacles for which I used various dinosaur tales for and after trying a dozen different joints and mechanisms I settled for simply sticking them in bricks with holes through them then making a frame out of that and just laying it on top of some bricks on the inside.

Now manga both official and fan made dojins are usually printed in black & white which means I had no guidelines or obligations to fallow any given color scheme. I had already set black for the main body but I decided to base the single eye off of the colors of Sahaquiel. Plus Israfel & Zeruel both have orange in their color pallet so there’s a president for that color to pop up on angels. The eyelashes are simple levers that give it a bit of emotion when you move them about.

Last is the Core which I used a gut ball form one of those bad guy bionicles. It’s installed on a technic rod that can be either a short one that stays inside and gives you a clean Angel or a real long one that can be used as a display base.

Hopefully Revoltech or Figma will make a Misato kasturagi soon so this guy will have someone to fight with.

I was able to get one of these Batmans from my comic shop ^____^ Appearantly the new wave came with one as a case filler. It's in a different package as a Classics All Star Figure 1. I really like him but the paint on his face is a little mussed up........ that's ok though because the helmet will cover that up. Are the arm joints supposed to be so stiff though? I got him a little worked in and I can get full range up and down but I can't get any movement outward :(

Sometimes the joints can be a little stiff just from sitting in the box. Usually, I can fix it just by moving the arm back and forth a lot. If it's still a problem, you can soften the joints by running the toy under a blow dryer for a tiny bit.

I'll try moving him some more then. I kinda feel like I'm gonna break him though :(

That's the 6 inch one? But it looks so tiny plus zero moving parts below the waist. I got a Neca one new and sealed from goodwill but as soon as I opened him up his arms snapped right the fuck off :( Will probably just chose a decent arm placement and super glue them in place.

Good Smile and Max Factory are working on some charity products, and proceeds from them will go to the Japan relief effort.

I'm not familiar with Good Smile, but Max Factory makes some great quality products, and I know a lot of people here are interested in contributing in some way. It's nice to know that the companies are in good enough shape to do this. They're donating 10 million yen as well.

I know Japan has a major exporter economy, and I'm sure it'd be a good thing for business accepting orders again to get some money coming in. I know HLJ has said they're doing a damaged good sale, I really hope that they can make most of their money back. They're a really good company and I want to see them bounce back from this!

Otacute's the only export site I know of that's still down right now. J-List isn't really a toy site, but they said they only had one item in their inventory destroyed, which I thought was pretty amazing.

I wish they had more things I want IN STOCK. Last night I saw the Classics style Lugnut was in stock...clicked it, then...out of stock. Bwaha. I'll snoop around some more though.

They have some Animated figures I'd like! I really like some of the crossovers figures too. Wish they had some Mighty Muggs, I'd love an excuse to get more of those.

I'm glad I waited, I was considering getting those last night. I've had such a horrible urge to spend money lately. Considered adding an Iron Man comic figure to the order, but the paint on them is so inconsistent I'd rather just wait and see if I ever find a good one in person.

Yeah, Perceptor, Wreck-Gar, Scourge, and Kup have been out of stock on there since February. They remain, teasing those that can't find them in stores. I'm hoping Amazon gets their own stock of them soon.

Really think they're missing out releasing them as exclusives. Lots of people aren't going to bother with a complete set this way, and they won't be able to make as much money with reissues of Shinken Red and Gold.
