It's not a single instance of matching IP addresses, otherwise I would have to ban every user (yeah, me included); it gets fishy when there are 2-3 instances, or when the guy has the same (+most recent) IP address used by another banned user in one of the latter's recent forum-activity.
At any rate, technically speaking (going by the forum's terms of service), the fact "you" users understand or not is completely irrelevant, staff business. Don't be nosy+mind your own business, this is an advice. Jesus, in every other board where I happen to moderate/administrate nobody gives a fuck about someone else's ban, life goes on as usual… They either don't care, or understand the staff has "its" reasons to kick someone out, no questions asked. And, no, most of those boards don't even have download forums, so they are actual communities where users often have discussions.

20th retains distribution rights until the very last second it doesn't.

The only consistent name I've noticed on all releases is Studio Canal. I had considered uploading the FLAC, but considering the inital releases had Varese attached to it, the best thing to approach it would've been contacting SC and the label, and then asking you. I suppose it's best to ask the former at this point if VS is still attached.

I'm very aware of that. But there was enough concern with the people I talked to over whether it would be allowed, so I ended up sitting on it. I take it nothing much will come out of it then? I don't think there was any issue when the previous re-issues came up for T2.

Forgive my ignorance in these matters, but how is it determined that these requests from certain music companies to remove their albums are legitimate and not a ruse by a disgruntled forum member? I noticed that legalmbr joined back in February and now all of sudden they post this warning. Again, I don't know how these matters work so please forgive me if I'm out of line. Just wondering!

1) We try to discourage users from posting alternate links on the same file-hosting website/service used by the one who started the thread, since it would get uselessly cluttered;
2) We ask of users to create a separate thread for his/her link, unless there's a recurring "theme", or the thread is about a franchise comprised of multiple album releases… But then we might have folks which in all their adulthood end up sounding like: "Mommy Mod!!!! Goddamn meanie stole my illegal share!! I won't get credit/rep. for it; ban the fucker to hell, pwetty please?!"

It's not an unreasonable thing on its own, obviously, but here at the Shrine we never "played like that": users were never forced to share/contribute anything to the forum, they shall do so of their own accord. In a way, it could be compared to trading: give something back and I'll give you something else in return (by the way, that's also not allowed here). Do you want to do things like that, now? Okay, it's your own decision, but do that outside of the Shrine; here we don't allow that crap. Clear?
About the things with mirror-links: with the way things are now, we kind of have conflicting information which makes it "technically" hard to act with a semblance of consistency.
1) We try to discourage users from posting alternate links on the same file-hosting website/service used by the one who started the thread, since it would get uselessly cluttered;
2) We ask of users to create a separate thread for his/her link, unless there's a recurring "theme", or the thread is about a franchise comprised of multiple album releases… But then we might have folks which in all their adulthood end up sounding like: "Mommy Mod!!!! Goddamn meanie stole my illegal share!! I won't get credit/rep. for it; ban the fucker to hell, pwetty please?!"
Jesus Christ, what makes it even more pathetic for me is that I've seen supposed teenagers behave way better on other file-sharing communities.

These albums are available on many places, there are no clues that it's yours originally (everything on internet belong to internet remember that, you can't protect your files when on internet), you are not the only one who got these CD and if you can't live with the internet jungle, stop sharing because you are first violating the label's rules don't forget that!.
